Tryp Cayo Coco: Outdated Resort

To begin with, there are no flamingoes. Hurricane Irma destroyed their nesting areas. Yes, there are lots of other birds, insects and wildlife. Rooms are spacious. We enjoyed our ocean view room with balcony BUT there was NO inroom coffeemaker. There was a kettle & mugs but nothing else. Had a nice deep soaker tub but no bathtub PLUG. And, no radio, limited TV channels and I never did find the elusive free pair of slippers. Just be ready to tip, tip, tip, for every question & request made & fulf [... read more]illed. Next time I'll be prepared. The price was right & the games & music were great. Oh & be prepared for no wifi in your room. $1.00 Cuban per HR. In lobby area.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Most Gorgeous Beach!

Memories Caribe Cayo Coco Cuba is an amazing resort! The beach is the most incredible beautiful beach I've ever seen! The staff and service are exceptional, so pleasant & caring, and they are always available to meet all your needs. What I think could improve however is more tiki umbrellas & lounge chairs at the beach, more shade covered areas at the pool, air circulating ceiling fans in the main bar and outdoor dining areas, and some stronger drinks! lol

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Well kept resort.

The resort is well kept. Our room was very large. We have been to quite a few resorts in Cuba and found the staff at this resort not as friendly. The wait staff in the restaurant were miserable for the most part. The gardener close to our building was the friendliest staff member - Juan Carlo. Dilena at the front desk was extremely rude. The entertainment staff did not come around and chat with the guests, like at other resorts. The evening shows were entertaining. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Memories Made

Paradise found. Upon arrival at the hotel we were shown to our ocean view room. The room was perfect! I travelled with a group of 15. The food was very good.The entertainment staff, bartenders, housekeppers, wait staff and front desk staff were all amazing. The gardeners were always offering hats,birds and flowers out of palm leaves. A special thank you to my Trip central agent Halley Ellerbeck for her wonderful service and great customer care. She truly cares about her clients.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Fantastic Beach

Loved the fact that it was low season. Pool and beach weren’t crowded, didn’t have to fight the lines at the buffet. Rooms were clean and food was adequate. Staff were friendly, and kind. The cafe bar tender Jose was excellent

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Staff Make A Vacation Pure Enjoyment

Iberostar Daquari – Cayo Coco, Cuba We arrived close to 10:00 p.m. and were greeted by the friendliest desk staff I have ever encountered. One clerk ran over to see if they could leave the buffet open later for us and said we could leave our bags and check in after dinner. Staff were very kind from the start, we went on to find that all the staff in every section of the hotel were just as friendly and helpful. Even though the resort was running at 30% or less capacity, everything was available to guests. High quality entertainment was brought in each evening in the lobby. We did not attend the performances in the theatre, but they looked like fun. The room was average and a little on the small side with some typical wear and tear you find in tropical ocean side resorts. The big plus was that there was an ocean view from the garden level where our room was. The food and liquor was not as good as a higher star resort but beautifully laid out and served by delightful staff. The beach was absolute perfection and the pools were very well kept. The beachside restaurant and snack bar were very good and what they lacked in selection they made up in friendly service. Overall I would recommend this resort for any type of visitor to Cuba, older folks, families, singles and couples. A relaxing or interactive vacation depending on what you are looking for. Note to management that name tags would be a good addition to personalize the staff and help some of us remember names.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: gOOD RESORT

The resort was ok,the rooms were smelly.The beds were hard, the food was ok, but nothing special. We couldn't reserve restaurant it was full, but when we got one it was empty, people reserve and they don't go and leave the place empty. The beach was amazing, service great, good working people. Melia Jardines del Rey: Poor resort

After returning from.this hotel on November 2 o would not recommended this resort ...its extremely big...drinks at the pool bar very poor....snack bar food very poor but if you are hungry you will eat anything....beach is nice but quite stoney when you walk in....I would reccomend water shoes....been to much nicer beaches in Cuba....the ala cart restaurants are ok...nothing special

Gran Muthu Imperial: Great resort!!

Great hotel. Pools were awesome looking, I do wish the beach was better but hopefully it will be improved in the future. Had a lot of fun at the sports bar and did a greta excursion to Pilar beach. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great resort

A wonderful family vacation. Lots of variety at the buffet fir all meals. Great food also at the beach and ala carte restaurants. Beautiful beach! Fun entertainment and friendly, helpful staff. Rooms and property clean and well maintained.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: good choice

The resort was very good. Rooms very large and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool was large and very clean. Twenty four hour bars and food. Common areas and bathrooms very clean. Negative part. There was no beach. Food choices very limited. Kind of juices limited. No orange apple or tomato juice

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Little Disappointed

After reading many great reviews on this resort I was a little disappointed in some of the stuff that happened while we were there, ex: 1st day there and we were not able to book any a la carte restaurants as we were told they were all full, but were told by others that there was plenty of empty seats when they were there. We had an issue with our air conditioner as it would not go below 24 degrees and after the 4th time complaining they finally sent someone to take a look and he told us that th [... read more]ere was cool air coming out but he would be back in 5 minutes and never returned. In the main buffet area the air conditioning was also not working and that made for very uncomfortable eating situation as I get hot easily and was sweating the entire time I was eating. Also we did find some of the staff rude when asking for things after waiting and not getting after 15minutes and we would have to ask again it seem to bother them. This is my 6th time to Cuba all different resorts and I would say my first time having issues like this.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Trying Hard

Just got back from our 3rd stay at the Colonial Hotel Cayo Coco. The charm of the hotel is still there but many things need improvement. The food selection was not as plentiful and the wait times at the grill stations were long. They need to have things ready when they open the doors. That's not the time to heat up the grills. What they did have was tasty. Many times there were no ingredients for mixed drinks and and nobody knew when they would have them. They have a long way to go in bringing the hotel back to the way it was a few years ago. Would I go back? Not sure. If I did it would be for the charm and the wonderful staff.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Nice Resort

Beautiful grounds; nice rooms; towels and sheets often had musty odour; food was hit or miss; drinks were watered down; entertainment was professional but repetitive; music throughout stay was great; MCs (especially the women) had most annoying voices; rocky beach in front of hotel had no access to ocean. Finally, if your blood type is 0-, watch out! I got eaten alive! I think part of the problem was that the hotel did not spray the grounds sufficiently.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Amazing vacation

This trip was amazing, Gran Caribe Cayo Guillermo has gone from a good place to spend vacation to exceptionally good service and even more beautiful grounds. Enjoyed it enormously. I have been there quite a few times before, the location is like no other, the beach is a gem, the water so welcoming warm, the people that work there have always been incredible and the new management is making it a memorable vacation experience.

We really enjoyed our week. Food, ocean, beach, superb! Would highly recommend. We were a family of 6 and everyone enjoyed themselves. It's an easy flight, close to the airport upon arrival. Very affordable week.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good resort with a beautiful beach

While the hotel is in a magnificent spot, the food needs improvement. Breads needed to be covered with napkins to prevent flies sitting on them. The selection of fruits especially pineapples were not ripe enough. The beach is beautiful. Staff were friendly. There was no difference between Diamond Club & regular service except for a segregated place on the beach. Not much difference. Gardens were beautiful & well maintained.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great holiday!

We have just returned from a wonderful family vacation at this resort. Great service, friendly staff. The food at the buffet and the Italian and Cuban a la carte restaurants were excellent. Pizza, fish and paella at the beach were also excellent. The shows were great - wonderful, skilled dancers! Lots of activities for kids and adults at the beach and poolside.
