Riu Flamingos: Lovely resort
Resort is very nicely laid out, it is not a large resort so everything is a short walk. Lobby very nicely decorated, staff were very helpful. Food choices were excellent in the main buffet for all meals. Not impressed with the 24 hour food selection in 24 sports bar. Grounds kept in great shape and there were always staff around keeping everything nice and clean everywhere. A little disappointed the mini fridge in room restocked every 2 days.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fabulous resort
We loved our stay at the Riu Palace Paradise island. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The resort is beautiful, well laid-out. We loved having the option of the two pools and the beach so close-by. We've been to many resorts and the beach at the Paradise Island is one of the nicest and the staff the nicest. They were just awesome and really made our vacation. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back ourselves.
Riu Guanacaste: Good resort
Everything was well maintained and the staff were very professional. Restaurant, bar, servers and front desk staff were attentive and met all of our needs. I know a very small thing but we would have liked a coffee maker in our room for our 1st cup of the day. Since everything is close by, it wasn't too difficult to go to the restaurant for coffee.. The pool and beach were both great and there were always chairs to be had.
Riu Playa Blanca: Amazing resort
Very clean, staff very friendly and accomodating! Grounds are spectacular. Food was somewhat bland but a great variety. The beach was nice but disappointed that ppl allowed horses on the beach and left messed.
Riu Flamingos: Decent Resort
This resort was okay, we ended up chnaging rooms the 2nd night we were there because we found a cockroach in our room. The bedsheets need to be replaced as they are covered in stains! Food wasn’t the best, we had better in Cuba.. very boring and repetitive! We ended up leaving the resort twice for dinner because we were so hungry and wanted good food Customer service was good
Riu Palace Macao: Very good resort

Room very clean could use a update mattress because it sink on one side but this is detail, bathroom very functional and clean overall the room is great .The Buffet was awesome very high quality food and presentation and service is A+ all the way . Riu Playa Blanca: Good Price, Great Weather, not the best Hotel
If you are looking for beautiful weather at a decent price than Riu Playa Blanca is the place for you. My fiancé and I went to Panama Dec 17th - Dec 24 2018. We were very excited as we heard that the riu was 5 years old and was expecting it to be a nice lavish hotel. That did not happen. Our view was excellent once we switched rooms. When it came to the room itself it was the greatest. Our bed seemed old as it made noises, the dresser was old and had 4 draws, you have to keep a room key in the [... read more]
Riu Republica: Great beach but leaves a lot to be desired
Had a one week stay over the holidays. Clean rooms and a great beach. Food was so so and the staff was hit and miss. If you're looking to relax maybe not the place. Busy and the adult only means a lot of younger groups looking to party.
Riu Palace Baja California: Amazing Resort
The food and service was second to none. The atmosphere and scenery is beautiful. There are three items that I would recommend being looked at: 1) when someone is too drunk instead of giving them a bucket to throw up in, take away their band so they can no longer drink for a period of time. Any kind of fighting the persons should be kicked out of the resort. 2) the stairs need to have a strip on the bottom of the stairs, the brown seems to blend into the next stair making it a trip hazard. Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: A lil paradise😊
My hubby and I stayed from Dec 22-29 and we truly had a great time. The hotel resort is beautiful, very clean, wonderful staff and the food is so delicious. Love our suite in the 3F overlooking the garden; the capuchino place, rumba fit at 11am, and we also found a new friend - bartender Juan, who spoiled us with the drinks. I jog around in the mornings, played pingpong and checked their sister hotel. I'd suggest that they add a tennis court. Would definitely recommend this hotel..it's the best of [... read more]
Riu Republica: Amazing resort!!
First off we have to thank Diane and Paul for the amazing service we received from Trip Central. They are a first class travel agency. Now on to the Riu Republica. First thought is amazing. This was our seventh Christmas vacation and was definitely our favourite resort. The rooms, food, beaches and staff were all fabulous. The only issue throughout our stay was with the shuttle to the beach. We were told it ran between the hours of 9-5 everyday but we only saw a total of 3 times. Wouldn’t be [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Management needs to be customer service friendly
Hotel and grounds are beautiful. Bathroom tubs are not easy to get in and out of. Actually quite dangerous as they are quite high and when you try to get out very slippery. People in general are very nice except for the management at the hotel. Management was very rude and unaccommodating in allowing not even one hour later in checking out especially when are plane arrived much later than expected and we checked in quite late. Management also said you did not need reservations for the resta [... read more]
Riu Republica: Lovely resort
I have nothing negative to say; the resort was beautiful, very clean, staff friendly & excellent variety of restaurants / food selection. The beach beautiful white sand & clear turquoise/blue ocean; who can ask for anything more!!!
Riu Playa Blanca: Panama Playa Blanca
We were guest here Dec 3-110th/18. Panama is a very beautiful, lush country. The dark sand beach, and sunshine made this a memorable vacation for sure. The food was good, Steakhouse and Italian a la cartel great. The hotel itself is a little dated and in need of a refresher, cracked tiles in the elevator, ice machines not working, and room air conditioners need to get lower than 24! The pools and grounds were well maintained, and bar staff at the pool, (Donny) were fantastic. Travel agents shoul [... read more]
Riu Palace Punta Cana: OK resort, nothing special
The hotel is clean, friendly, however we don’t think is a 5 star hotel. Second time to Riu (previously went to Riu Palace Los Cabo), but we will never go to any Riu chain again. I would rate this a 4 star hotel. Other than most of the staff don’t speak English, we found there is only a few drinks and food to choose from. Unless you don’t care what you eat and drink, this resort is probably would be a god choice. There is nothing special or bad about this resort! All specialty restaurant [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Brand New Modern Resort
This hotel is beautifully landscaped. The layout of the hotel is different. Off the main lobby is the Lounge which has an eating area and a sitting area and is open 24 hours. Coffee, tea, alcohol, food is available here and is self serve. It is a very clean, comfortable room. The lobby bar and the main buffet are facing the pools and the ocean. The view is amazing. The a-la- cart restaurants, auditorium are placed in close proximity for easy access. All the rooms are beautiful, modern and very [... read more]
Riu Republica: Amazing resort
The resort was super clean. The food was fantastic with lots of options. The pools and the beach were awesome. Room needed a bit of an upgrade but spent little time there. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Would go back again.
Riu Republica: Amazing resort
Best hotel so far on my list. Amazing and beautiful. Good service and good food. I also enjoyed the evening shows. The evening shows were a little bit different from the ones Im usually see in other hotels.
Riu Palace Mexico: Kids friendly fun resort
Clean, well-designed, great beach, delicious food, nice staff. Great layout and all the amenities are easily accessible. Water in the pools was a bit cold, even during the day. Fun shows at night and animation staff are very nice. All resort staff were quite attentive to needs of guests
Riu Republica: Not a 5 Star
Overall, it's an updated and vibrant resort. The staff is friendly (especially when you are), the beach is beautiful and clean, and the resort is so big, you never struggle to find a lounge chair on the beach or at the pool. However...if you are arriving late (after the 9pm of most dinner restaurants) be ready to wait in line and heat up a cold burger from a fridge or grab a hot dog that has been on the heater for quite some time...it was not the best first impression. They do not have a late ni [... read more]
