Excellent food, well-planned and pleasing grounds. Lovely lobby; good gym; liked the kitchen tour, Mexican bingo. We liked the nightly lobby musical entertainment as well as the grand salon entertainment.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: very clean and relaxed atmosphere

Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The grounds were nicely laid out. The pools were always cleaned and had great shapes. The beach and pool area always had room to lie down. The air conditioner always kept the clean room comfortable. Always good choice of food and the desserts looked and tasted great!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: First Time at this resort

We really enjoyed the resort, we stayed ground floor in Blk 5 with the pool feet away from our patio door and steps away from the morning/lunch buffet (which turned into 2 evening a la cartes/and bar....very convenient :) we went to one show and we very entertained. There are 2 wifi zone but with the size of the resort they could use a couple more, but it is Mexico so we were pleased to even have 2

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Great hotel!

Great food, great staff, great beach. The Occidental Grand Nuevo Vallarta is a smaller hotel compared to others in the area which is nice. Beautiful beach. Just a short walk down the beach, you can witness nightly baby sea turtle releases! Amazing to see! A great location only a short bus ride away from Puerto Vallarta. Highly recommend.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: fairly new resort

Impressed with the bottle of champagne in our room for my birthday. Someone would have had to review my information as we did not mention it was my birthday. Staff was excellent. Often they would engage guests in conversation. Grounds were clean and maintained. Our disappointment was with the buffet. Food was warm at best and generally over cooked and tough. Easy to fix.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Fun resort

Friendly staff, awesome jungly grounds, perfect size (not so big you can't find your friends but big enough). Seemed great for families or people travelling without kids. I am only not rating it as excellent because we had some inconveniences the first couple days but once we figured things out and adjusted our expectations, we were very happy. Had to carry our kids around because using a double stroller seemed impossible), you have to purchase decent wine, premium drinks are not included except at one bar, no cocktails at the buffet, the a la carte restaurants only seat at 3 specific times a night so if you show up 10 minutes after that time, you will have to wait an hour and 20 mins till the next seating even if the restaurant is 1/4 full. Once we figured these things out, we had an amazing time. The staff were very friendly, the resort was clean and the grounds were beautiful. The beach was nice. There was always a lounger available and if you want to get away from the crowd, there was a pretty much deserted beach right around the bend. The pools were good and the kids' pool was great! There is even an ocean pool and a little zoo.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great family friendly resort!

Long story short - this resort is definitely family friendly (lots of families with kids), very safe and very good location. There are 6 blocks on the resort. We stayed in block 6, very quiet, new, and bigger pools. I'd say this is the most family friendly block. Food was great. Would highly recommend to young families.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Good resort

We stayed at the Villamagna Resort from Dec 8-15. The resort itself is very clean with beautiful grounds. Room: We upgrade to the preferred floor which are floors 7 & 8 ocean view. The upgrade was only $35 extra per night. We thought it was worth it because you had your own personal bar with top shelf liquor and daily snacks that no one else gets to have. The room was very spacious with a gorgeous view. We stayed in room 1812. The only downside of the room was the sheets! They are polyester so b [... read more]e prepared to sweat as soon as you lie down in them. Quite gross in my opinion. After a couple nights, we layed on top of the top sheet as it seemed better this way. I believe they put a plastic liner below the sheets too which doesn't help. For a dreams resort, I feel this should have been better. Another downside is that the housekeeping only brought wash cloths ONCE. That was it. They actually forgot to give us bath towels another time and I had to call down. We were sure to leave the maid a tip daily too so not sure why she was was so frugal. Otherwise, the room was perfect. Grounds: Very clean and beautiful. This is something they pride themselves in. It is extremely well kept. There are three pools to choose from and two bars. There are hammocks to relax on too. The beach area is very nice but does have the peddlers out there trying to sell you stuff. The beach is a swimmable beach. The waves can get huge so you need to be careful but we enjoyed swimming in the ocean very much in front of the resort. Service: Unbelievable! They have excellent service. Always someone coming by asking you for a drink or if you need anything. Food: Very good. Our favourite was Portofino and Seaside Grill. Seaside Grill has an amazing filet mignon. Again, excellent service at all restaurants. We personally don't like buffet so we only had buffet at breakfast. It was decent. Drinks: Top shelf liquor if you ask for it. A lot of assortment. Very good choices. The only downside is they never give you a straw unless you ask for it. Perhaps this is an eco friendly thing.... Overall: we would go back!

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Great place for R&R

The resort in small enough that everything is close by, but still large enough where we were not all on top of each other. The beach is wonderful! The food was varied, abundant and delicious and the evening show mostly entertaining. Rooms on the side of the theatre are noisy at night. We had upgraded to ocean view and it was worth the extra money as our room was quiet. The only inconvenience was the lack of Internet in our room. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great food and service

Don`t normally go to 3 star resorts but took a chance on this place because of good reviews and low price. Only our room was 3 star; food, service, entertainment were all as good or better than 4 star resorts we have visited. Town is very quaint. Would definitely return.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: WOW! What a PLEASANT SURPRISE!

Our 2 Sons picked this venue for our 1st Family Reunion and it couldn't have been More Perfect. My wife Sherry and I have been retired for 8 years and have traveled extensively, so we were happy to let the Boys make all the Arrangements and we'd just Show Up not knowing what to expect. After this experience - I think we'll let our Sons make ALL our Travel Arrangements because this was ABSOLUTELY the Best Holiday we have Ever Had. We were 3 Families traveling - 2 couples and and the 3rd Family had 2 little ones aged 2 years old and 6 months old. When we all arrived at the Grand Palladium we were disappointed to find that we were housed in 2 separate buildings so we went to the Front Desk and explained that we were a Canadian Family, that Lives Far Apart in Canada, and we had come to the Palladium resort in Mexico for a Family Reunion so we had hoped to be closer together during our stay at the resort. I can't remember the name of the young man we spoke to at Reception but he was AMAZING and within 24 hours we had 3 Rooms Close together which made our 2 week stay truly Memorable. Our 3 Families are in Total Agreement that we will DEFINITELY Return to this Grand Palladium Resort for our 2nd Annual Family Gathering Next Year and hopefully for many years to come. Throughout our stay we found the Facilities and Amenities to be Excellent and by the end of our 2 weeks we were on a first name basis with many of the staff - ALL of whom contributed to make our 1st Family Reunion a HUGE Success.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Amazing holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staff were awesome,helpful,kind and fun.I will stay there next time I go.Close to shopp[ng and places of interest.I will encourage all my friends to go with me next time.I will enjoy many more adventures next time.

Playa Los Arcos: Magical

I love the friendliness of the hotel staff, the pure magic of being in the heart of Mexico, the rooms were always clean, bright and cheery. We were never without someone making sure we had a drink or something to do, everything we asked for came the reply "Of course" Absolutely wonderful and I will be going back for sure…..

Samba Vallarta: GOOD RESORT

Overall good resort. Compact design. Easy to get around. Clean grounds. Room was somewhat dated but very functional. Not all rooms have a balcony if you are looking for one. Food was good and always fresh. But small resort=selection limits. Staff super friendly and helpful. Super beach to walk on and easy walk to Bucerias. Resort was all full when we there and combined with alcohol made for very noisy nights. Don't plan on sleeping thru the night. Tile floors. Hollow doors. Young people. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Friendly, bohemian resort but very loud.

Reminiscent of the 1960's Hippie Days, this town is a throw back to that generation. Easy to walk around town or hop on a bus to visit neighbouring towns and markets. Very relaxed place, but busy with weekend visitors from Guadalajara and other cities. The grounds of the resort are well maintained. The rooms are clean but basic and noise filters into the rooms. Beach is small but clean and gentle waters for swimming. Pools are small - did not use them. You get to know the fellow travellers as you sit in the bars by the ocean. Biggest con is the noise - the music and daily activities coordinators insist on blasting the speakers...Very annoying. Get rid of these speakers and it would be a great resort for people looking to relax.

Canto Del Sol: Super Resort

The hotel was super clean and our room was also kept very clean. Food was excellent. The service was exceptional with waiters in all areas ready to serve you and all were very happy people. The beach area was good and had umbrellas if you needed or wanted shade. Also patio area near beach kept very clean with many tables and covers.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: An Economical Good Timea

The ground were amazing, park was perfect, all buildings were well maintained and freshly painted, everything was very clean, ponds were gorgeous. Service everywhere was first class, bars restaurants and main office. The festivals were well planned and a lot of fun. Staff worked very hard decorating the restaurants for the festivities and they looked spectacular right down to festive Mexican dress. The variety of Mexican food was over the top but the stews and any of the meats tended to be tough [... read more] and chewy. We've had mass produced food many times before but this Mexican food tended to be very bland and a lot of the sauces had little or no flavour and very salty. Mexico is a country that has a multitude of herbs and spices but few were used to fortify different flavours. We were placed in a room close to the childrens pool which ment no sleeping in or no afternoon naps. I did go to the office to see if we could be moved but was informed that moving to a different room would cost more money. We had a good week at the hotel and might book again in the future.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Great resort

The staff, as always is amazing and we do enjoy their friendly manner and willingness to accommodate us...thanks. The areas we were not happy with were: - the amount of second hand smoke in the lobby on a day that we had to stay in due to the rain -the unorganized manner breakfast and supper were arranged on the rainy days, the line ups were horrendous -as we stayed at this resort many times we found this time the food select to be smaller in number however the addition of the pizza oven at the  [... read more]beach restaurant was nice.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Grand Palladium delivers

We spent a great 10 days at the Grand Palladium Vallarta. The weather was perfect and the water was warm. All of the staff were very hard working, helpful and friendly. Our room was basic but clean. The food in the buffet was very good. The "a la cartes" were great but some nights we went to the buffet instead.

You get what you pay for. Food is very good, beach is excellent, rooms are older but in good shape and maintained. The service from the staff in bars, restaurants and housekeeping is excellent. Could use more internet locations.
