Gran Muthu Imperial: Absolutely fantastic week!!

My husband and I loved our stay at the resort!!! It is beautifully kept, the staff are amazing, and we had the best time. No waits for food, plenty of pool and beach chairs. We will definitely go back!!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Dated Resort

Hotel was visibly damaged during Hurricane Irma 2 years ago. Grounds are still being salvaged. Half of the resort was closed completely to be restored. Standing water in pond by snack bar has foul smell. Pool was nice but pool bar ran out of most alcohol each day and shut down by 5pm. We started out in building 2 in an extremely dated room - bathroom door did not shut, toilet did not flush, beds creaked terribly. We upgraded on our third day to building 6. Room was so much nicer. Service by hote [... read more]l staff was wonderful - shout out to Sandro at the Snack Bar - walked my 27 year old daughter back to her room one night to avoid an obnoxious guest. Front desk staff was wonderful to deal with as well. Keep track of your beach towels, they have to be signed in and out to avoid charges at check out. We had 2 go missing from the pool area. Food is what it is in Cuba...you don't go to Cuba for the food lol. Frank, a nighttime security guard is to be avoided. Extremely inappropriate comments and propositions were made to some of the younger girls in our group. Beautiful beach! Beach bar was very small and consistently ran out of stock. Nightly entertainment was fantastic. AC worked very well in the rooms. No spa on site. Not all A La Carte Restaurants were open and the ones that were, were fully booked every day. We chose this resort as there was a group we were traveling with that was already booked. Won't visit again.

Melia Costa Rey: Great resort

The grounds are clean and always being maintained. The food is alright I suggest to bring your own sauces to make things better. The French, Italian and Japanese resturants are great. Mary at the pool bar is a sweetheart. Entertainment are always trying to make your stay more fun. I suggest the excursion to the Cave Bar! Only complaint is the beach party was all Spanish music. Definitely alot of locals in Oct compared to my visit in Feb. Quick 10 mins to hotel from airport.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing resort,

Great enertainment staff! Get you involved and having fun! Amazing dancers! I am a vegetarian and I ate well all week. They were very good about cleaning the pans for me so nothing was contaminated! They don't all speak English but if they don't they will find someone who does to make sure you get what you want!

Melia Costa Rey: Fabulous resort

The grounds are kept up very well. We have been going for 5 years and this year was no exception. The sidewalks were being re painted, the grounds were being looked after, and you could see that there had been lots of work done on the buildings. The security was very evident now as they have new uniforms and it made you feel safe. The food was delicious in the a La Carte's , and the buffet had plenty to choose from. The bar was a l [... read more]ittle sparse on some things and there was no coke available in the rooms but it was low season and some things are to be expected. We were addressed by warm smiles whenever we met staff and the managers were always circulating to make sure everything was as it should be. We especially enjoyed Roberto in the Buffet. He went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable and offered his services if we had any problems. Yoel, one of the entertainment staff and the staff at the front desk were always so helpful whenever we had a question. Our room was very clean. Marissa did a great job everyday. She left a welcome note and a fair well note which was very thoughtful. I will definitely return again. It's like going home. Can't remember everyone's names but I can say it's a great place to vacation. I do have one recommendation as the resort is becoming more family friendly. There are a lot of pools at this resort and although there is an adult only section ( Collections) it's not always as fun over there. I would recommend making the infinity pool with the swim up bar an adult only pool. This pool is still amongst the entertainment but far enough away that it is a little quieter than the others. ( just a thought).

Melia Jardines del Rey: Will never go back

The hotel was decent but the front desk staff were extremely rude and not helpful at all. They ran out of food on our second day and the resort was half deserted. The main pool was shut down and we had to use a small pool that was green by day three cause it was not maintained. Will never go back to this resort

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The room was comfortable and tidy. The grounds were amazingly well kept and beautiful. We enjoyed the food and the service at the restaurants were professional and prompt. Lovely beach. The pizzas were delicious and the pinacoladas were great

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: There's a week of my life I'll never get back .....

I've been to Cuba more than 20 trips, so I'm aware of it's limitations and I've never been disappointed enough to complain about it. We didn't go in the pool after the first day. It was so cloudy you couldn't see the first step. Yuck ! My brothers room, the air conditioning was barely holding on and the smell of mould and mildew were so bad it actually made them sick by the end of the week. We were told "Sorry no beer / no red wine / no sparkling water" on several occasions at 2 differ [... read more]ent bars including the beach. Coffee machine was broken at the 24 hour snack bar so everyone was herded to the lobby where the staff were obviously overwhelmed. It's a shame, the property was lovely and the beach heavenly but I wont be going back to this site.

My husband and I stayed at the Pullman from October 14th to the 21st. To put things in perspective, let's say that we traveled a lot, especially in the different regions of Europe (> 15 times), the Dominican Republic (> 10 times), Cuba (> 10 times) and Mexico (> 5 times). We would not know where to start or risk forget [... read more]ting someone if we were to name each person who made our stay so enjoyable, but we must pay tribute to the Hotel General Manager Jean-Luc, his Food & Beverages Director Roberto and the whole management team. The success of this establishment, as for all others in Cuba, is limited by the availability of supplies and the staff supervision. At the Pullman, the management is very professional so ressources are optimized and the staff is motivated. In summary, we will go back to the Pullman because it is the best managed establishment we’ve seen in Cuba. The staff is very courteous. The rooms are beautiful, very well maintained and the air conditioning is modern and quiet. You can use your Wifi access cards in your room. The beach is beautiful with enough chairs and palapas for everyone. The resort is only 20 minutes away from the airport. The food is very good (for Cuba) with many choices both at the buffet and the restaurants, and, the entertainment is great. We had an amazing vacation!

As always the staff were excellent, the food plentiful and good (for Cuba). Beach is amazing. Room was clean, bed was comfy and ac was strong. By the end of our week the pool was going a bit green, but the ocean was awesome!

Gran Muthu Imperial: Resort fine. No beach.

Resort was very clean and modern. No beach. Very disappointing. Very limited juices for drinks. No orange juice for breakfast. Food fine but very limited choices Swimming pool was very large and clean. No bar at large pool

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Resort

After many vacations to Cuba our week at Iberostar Daiquiri was as good as it gets. This was our fourth time to this resort so obviously we enjoy this place and this time everything was exceptional. Our room ideally located,the staff worked hard and were exceedingly pleasant and fun to be with. Since it was off season the buffet changed location for supper several times and the final night was set up by the pool. The other guests at the resort were a fun bunch who seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves and forget the outside world during their vacation. The beach was really good and the new jetty a welcome addition especially if one likes to fish. The resort is small and older but well maintained which we enjoyed more then some of the new resorts with all their glitter.

The grounds and the beach is stunning. The people are so nice and the general manager is amazing. He set up gourmet dinner for my birthday and allowed my son to eat with us on this special occasion. Thank you very much Jean Luc and we will be back! We had steak and lobster 3x

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Fantastic Family Vacation

Our family of four travelled to Grand Muthu October 11th to 18th. Natalie Collura from Tripcentral assisted with our booking, we had a few needs that were all fully accommodated upon our arrival thanks to her requests., Travel with Air Transat was effortless, the online check in both here and in Cuba is so convenient! This would be our 6th time to Cuba so we are well aware of what to expect in relation to food choices and amenities. The amenities were above our expectations, the resort is fair [... read more]ly new, modern, beds are comfortable and it is kept cleaned and in good repair from what we saw. The food was as expected, we did not go hungry and my teenage boys feasted on fresh fish and meats grilled to order daily. The Indian Restaurant was overbooked and we did wait to about an hour after our reservation however felt it was worth the wait, my suggestion would be to book early for this one. Food however is not what draws us back to Cuba, the beaches were amazing and as usual staff never cease to amaze us, we always feel welcomed and cared for during our stay. Draw backs to October travel... resorts are not at capacity so often not all amenities ore offered, no Churro cart, restaurants alternate days, less food choices, we however are happy to trade these for lack of line ups or competition for chair etc. A warning but certainly not a criticism.. Mosquitos are horrible this time of year, Bring bug spray and afterbite!!!!

Everything on this resort was beautiful rooms pools food was alright not too much variety less than the normal for Cuba . the only disappointment was there was no beach at all just bush and rocks had to go next door but that wasn't great either .pillar beach was about 15 min away and it was amazing

Loved my stay at the resort - if you wanna be almost alone, mid-sept is perfect. First time I had such a comfy mattress (maybe pillows can be improve), beautiful room with an overview on the resort - perfect. Everything was always cleaned-up, all the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The 3 pools are quite big (yet, there was barely anyone!) and the infinity pool makes the show!! The beach of the resort is yet small but ... so far, not user friendly: way too many big broken seashells spread  [... read more]everywhere on the beautiful white sand, impossible to enjoy the water - big broken rocks/corals everywhere to the point it is impossible to walk even with shoes. This is definitely the point where the managing must resolve because what's the point of having a beach if it's not possible to get there. Please make sure it'll be resolve because i really loved the place and although i loved doing my lengths in the pool, i travel South first for enjoying the beach and the ocean.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: 2 Star Hotel

I just came back from a week long vacation at the Iberostar Daiquiri (Oct/19) and was not extremely impressed with the overall quality of the hotel. Although it was clean it was quite old. We were 3 people so the room that was provided for us was a king bed and my son had to sleep on a pull out couch. There were days when the maid staff did not re-fill the fridge with water and pop. The main bathrooms were constantly out of toilet paper, they unplugged the hand dryers and there was never any soa [... read more]p in the dispensers. The pool bar snacks were not great and only ran in the afternoon. There was nothing available past 10 p.m. As it was off season the resort decided to close 1/2 of the amenities so their was only 1 ala cart available each night. They advised me they were full but a 1/3 of the tables were empty and did not have any place settings. The night time entertainment was severely lacking. We went to the night club to see the dancers each night. When they had games they were basically drinking games against the staff. The entertainment lacked any real creativity. The lobby had singers most nights and they were excellent. The night club then closed for the evening so everyone had to congregate at the lobby bar. I attempted to use the gym one day but thought I was going to pass out from heat exhaustion as the room did not have any air conditioning. The staff for the most part was very friendly although there were a few men who were a bit pushy for attention. Weather was amazing and the beach was clean and comfortable.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: THE BEST STAFF IN THE WORLD!

This resort should pride themselves on the staff they have working for them. I will never forget my experience there with all the entertainers. Jormer Entenza was the most incredible host. Clean hotel and the views of the beach was worth every moment. However, I experienced an unfortunate incident of harassment by another guest and their party and nothing was done to assist me. WestJet Vacations was also notified about the incident and did nothing as well.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Was ok , did have a better stay other times

When I checked in they put me in building 4 , I requested building 2 , but none the less they advised me I can stay in building 4 for 2 days and then move to building 2 , as I was there for 2 weeks , I agreed , when I got to my room in Building 4 , there was no phone ( security, emergency issue ) there was no fridge , and tons of ants in the wash room , as I was only in there for 2 days decided to suck it up , when I moved to building 2 , I did tell the front desk about my concerns , building 2  [... read more]was a good room , the food was good no real issues there , service was good , I have been to the tryp now 3 times and I would go back .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fabulous holiday

This hotel resort gives amazing value for both adults and families. The staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a nightly professional show in the theatre, daily poolside dancing demonstrations and participation, water aerobics, organized games for children, 3 separate pools, 3 first class dining rooms, a fabulous buffet and 24 hour snack bar. Did I mention the magnificent beach and ocean views! See it all for yourself.
