Good location and vast area ,friendly staff ,bars are in good location entertainment are good food not great rooms are very clean beds are not so great I mean soft walkway are little fat well lit area but little far

Brisas Guardalavaca: Wonderful Staff!

My family and I had an amazing time at Brisis Guardalavaca. The staff definitely go above and beyond, especially in the dining area. We met so many sweet employees and if we do return to Brisas it is because of them! The room was big and adequate, not the most comfortable beds however no different than anywhere else I've stayed in Cuba. The beds are however king size and not double beds pushed together. The grounds were beautiful and the resort is massive. Advise: our villa was good treck to the main building, so be prepared to walk or make sure you request villa 9 which would be much closer. The beach, spotless and plenty of loungers (a bit tricky to get shade, but always managed to find some) It was a wonderful family vacation and the kids were treated so well by the staff. Very family friendly resort!

Brisas Guardalavaca: loved our vacation

I love this hotel as it is spread out across the ocean instead of having a narrow piece of property penetrating inland. It is the perfect hotel for anyone who struggles with walking like myself requiring a hip replacement. Everything is within a close proximity. Whoever designed this hotel I think did a great job. Few mosquitos which was a bonus. Lots to do. The ocean was absolutely breathtaking, calm with a fine white sand beach, lots of shade. Lots to do from water sports perspective. [... read more] Although I did not find snorkelling directly out front, if you ask your beach team at the hut to the right of the hotel, they will take you around the bend to a fabulous reef. It is worth paying the small amount of money as Junior took his time showing us the reef, diving down taking pictures with our camera. It was great. Last year we did it three times because we enjoyed it so much. They have a great entertainment team who keeps those who wish to be kept busy from early morning to late at night. I commend the Acts they brought in to sing inside the hotel. Cuba has talent, great guitar player, outstanding singers, violin and piano player. After they finished their sets the house band would provide Cuban music followed by some other kind of entertainment. The design of the hotel makes it very inviting to meet people and have a good time for all ages. It was a British holiday so there were a lot of kids which we seen but have to admit they were really good, being kept occupied. Our room was nice overlooking the ocean, a breathtaking view. Our maid did a great job as well as the gardeners who were never-ending keeping the resort manicured. School kids in Cuba had Environmental day. They descended on our beach with garbage bags looking for anything that was not environmentally friendly. I am not sure they got much as the hotel keeps the grounds clean. Now for the food. Although each restaurant attempted to present there food in a pleasant manner, I think there could be an improvement. It is often said that Cuban food is never good. In a sense they are right. They have the food, they know how to present the food, I think they just need some good recipes to make the food taste really good. On saying that, we never went hungry and were never ill which is a good thing. I think people have to keep in mind that when we vacation in Cuba, we are not paying top dollar so how much of a budget is there for the food part of our vacation. My advise to the hotel is to relook at the recipes being used in the kitchen. Also the bake stuff was often stale so not sure if it was sitting out too long or whether they reused it over a couple of days. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed it and certainly plan to return next year. This says a lot as we prefer a cruising vacation where there is great entertainment and outstanding food. This has been an alternative for the past two springs which means we did not cruise in the spring these past two years. That says something. Great job, look forward to returning. Judy Dulovic

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Paradise

A worry free vacation with wonderful attentive staff and lots of variety and choice in dining entertainment and one of the best beaches in Cuba, we stayed in a suite with a crib for our 7 month old son, the room functioned 100% was clean and comfy, the entire hotel has been upgraded and renovated since our last stay, keep it up Club amigo! This all inclusive option is a winner for the price. Will return for years to come.

Playa Costa Verde: Paradise!

I had an amazing stay at Playa Costa Verde!! The beach is beautiful! Awesome snorkeling, fun hobie cat rides and constantly surrounded by beauty! The staff was so kind! I will definitely be returning to this resort!

Playa Pesquero: Awesome as usual

Year after year with its beautiful white sand and clear water this place is never disappointing. This was my 9th vacation there and it keeps getting better. The locals are absolutely awesome and the service is fantastic. It is now impossible to walk through this resort without saying hello to everyone. The pool bartender will have your drinks waiting for you before you even step foot in the pool. If you are looking to party like an animal, it's not the place to be. Paradisus Rio De Oro: A wonderful hotel!

I have twice visited this resort. Relatively close to the airport. Beautiful landscape. Comfortable and spacious cottages. Beach with soft sand. Live music and premium liquor ... everything is involved for an excellent holiday.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Disappointing service

Upgraded​ $ 800 US to royal service treatment . Very dissatisfied with lack of service after paying so much to upgrade . Rooms were beautiful on royal service side . Beach and nature was beautiful . Food was very dissapointing. Barely ate all week . Very "cliquey" with all the proper service being given to returning well known guests.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Amazing resort!

This hotel was amazing. Its located right on the beach, staff was accommodating and friendly, and food wasn't that bad. There was always something to do whether if it was to sit and relax or to be active. 100% recommend

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great vacation!

We stayed at the Blau from April 28th to May 5th, 2017 and had a wonderful vacation. The resort was clean, the room was not fancy, but clean & nice. The grounds were well maintained. We stayed on the Plus side, which gave us access to an additional pool, bar and extra a-la-carte dinners. The food at the buffet was fine - we found we had lots of selection and the flavor was good. There was plenty of staff around the resort. They had activities daily for those that wanted to participate. We enjoyed hanging out at the beach and pool. The beach was shallow and didn't get very deep until you went quite far out. In some places it was rocky, but you didn't need water shoes to go into the ocean. There was great snorkeling just off the beach. We took our gear and went out several times - even saw an octopus! We had no issues getting chairs, but we were there just into the low season, so perhaps that is why. Although they seemed to have lots of chairs at the beach and pool areas. We did one excursion - the "Blue and Green", which was the jeep one. We actually drove the jeep from the resort to the places we visited. It was a good tour and we enjoyed the vistas we saw. We talked to others who did the catamaran excursion, and they enjoyed that one, as well. Prices are in US dollars, making it a bit high with the conversion. We met many other guests who have stayed at this resort multiple times, so we knew it was a consistently good pick. We would stay there again, but we often like to try different places so would consider another one as well. We liked this area of the island because it wasn't too busy and we were looking for a quieter vacation. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel in the area, as we had a great experience there.

Playa Pesquero: NICE PLACE

GOOD AND CLEAN HOTEL. NICE AND VERY HARD WORKING STAFF, SERVICE IS VERY SLOW BUT NOT BAD, BEACH IS NICE, ENOUGH CHAIR AND SHED FOR EVERY ONE. NIGHT SHOWS WERE GOOD,BUFFET FOOD IS VERY REPEAT BUT ALA CART WAS GOOD

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: good for the money-cheap

People are nice. Service was good. Room was not perfect, but beds were comfortable and good. Beach good. Food- one could always find something tasty We appreciated no smoking areas. Minus- week-ends overcrowded. We enjoyed a la cart restaurant.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Always a great time at Beautiful Brisas

Wow where do I begin! First off the hotel is looking amazing lots of new upgrades to the grounds looks beautiful new tables & chairs even umbrellas, 1st floor rooms are newly renovated looks great! Al lacartes were great, food was good, I personally don't go for the food lol currently they are renovating 34 of the hotel rooms I believe new bathrooms included, nightly entertainment was good, always welcoming faces at Brisas, our home away from home! Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Amazing people and place

This is our second time at this resort, and is still amazing, we booked in the "plus" side and is worth it, you get a swimming pool and a bar, only for the plus side. People are very friendly and they did more than what they were asked to do, to make us comfortable and happy. The cleaners did a great job in our room, it was always spotless. The buffet stuff are excellent. The food was excellent, there is always something to eat, either snack bar or buffet. We made reservations a la carte for 4  [... read more]nights which was wonderful. At this time, there was a lot of mosquitos so don't forget to take repellent (just in case). They even have ice cream machine at the beach snack bar which goes well with the heat and kids. The beach is wonderful for swimming or snorkelling (we even found lots of Dorys). We can't wait to go back!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: always a good time

Great hotel, very consistent and good service. Love the pool bar for Happy Hour! The beach could use a few more shelters for those who want to enjoy it but not be in full sun. There is always good food at the snack bar or even the Buffet. The Japanese restaurant is always our favorite, but all the 4 restaurants do a very good job. The rooms are kept clean and the rooms with the renovated bathrooms are nice. Hopefully the will get the rest of the rooms done soon. Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Friendly resort

The grounds are beautifully kept. The rooms are clean. The bathroom was newly renovated. The beach is amazing.the food was good. The hotel has many tourists who come back every year. There is a market next to the hotel to buy souvenirs. I was in a standard room which is the least expensive but was very comfortable. I did not have enough towels in the room but the beach towel was what I used for my shower because I was able to get a fresh one every day. The people who put the beach chairs out ex [... read more]pect a tip which is a bit irritating since the chairs are included in the price. I am glad to tip when I want to tip not when it feels like a requirement.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Very good place to vacation

I like the area very much. The garden view rooms need some work. Beds very hard to sleep on and pI'll own to small. But I ijoyed everything regardless. The service in the dining area was great. The resections people could be a little more frendly also. I have been going here for 9 years and will continue. Love the people and the culture.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Huge resort!

Huge place, 2 swim up bars as well as 2 more great big pools. Many bars including an excellent coffee bar! Food was average. Seafood restaurant was excellent, also paid for a lobster dinner one night which was spectacular! Room was average, ocean view was good on the fourth floor. Some staff were friendly especially in the main dining room. Overall was great for the cheap price. Air conditioning worked great which was a first for cuba!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Far from fantastic!!

First glimpse....beautiful. Check in was slow and impersonal. The room was very substandard and the noise level in the hallways was atrocious all week. Very little sleep and terrible food. Thank God the outdoor staff were lovely and very accommodating. Check out was even worse. I wouldn't come back to that resort.....Cuba maybe but not there. Also too many locals drink and puking beside the pool. 👎 Not a good advertisement for future customers.

Playa Pesquero: Phenomenal. Highly recommended

This resort was an absolute dream. I have stayed at several different locations in Cuba and this is one of the best. You normally hear the food isn't good in Cuba. This is not the case at this location. It was amazing. The staff are much more mature (than other resorts we've been to), and you do have to tip to get some extra service. When you do...you get treated like gold. We will definitely look to return and this is one of my favourite spots.
