Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Spectacular resort, amazing staff.

Covid protocols were very straightforward (masks in occupied common areas such as lobby, restaurants, and buffets until seated). Resort recommendations regarding masks are strongly enforced in eating areas, and left to your own consideration in outdoors. Aside from minor pandemic supply chain issues, we highly recommend this beautiful resort. Playa Vista Azul: Definitely upgrade!

Rooms were good and clean. Staff amazing. Grounds could use some work especially around the main pool area. Lots of peeling paint and cracks. We upgraded to premium and it is definitely wworth it. premium area is well kept and food is much better than the buffet. Condiments are available in premium side but not regular part of resort. I brought my own ketchup Top shelf alcohol at premium bars as well. Thank you to jimmy!! Best bartender!! Not my favourite beaches at this resort as there was a b [... read more]each to the left and one to the right. Not that well kept and I would prefer a beach right in front of resort. Don’t get me wrong beaches were pretty but not the best for Cuba. Bathrooms were always clean and staff always wore masks. Can’t say enough about the staff. All excellent and doing their best for you. Take American money. They give a bad rate for Canadian and do not always take Cuban pesos. No sense really getting pesos. We met some wonderful Canadians and had a great time. Food just ok. Would not return to this hotel but if you get a deal it’s worth it to give it a try. Definitely upgrade!!!!

Melia Internacional: Amazing resort

We had a great experience. The manager and the staff were very nice and very friendly. The rooms were very clean. Even the hallways, beach area and pool area were very clean as well. Highly recommend this resort.

Roc Arenas Doradas: Nice but LOUD

And so brightly lit!! As always, I love Cuba for the beautiful Cuban people. This hotel is a good choice for people that like meeting Cubans, as there are many staying there. I felt mostly well taken care of by the staff especially Elizabeth who kept my nice room immaculate. Amaui and Oreley helped me find (vegetarian) food to eat. The main buffet is run more like a cafeteria, with long disorganized lineups, bright lights and SO NOISY. The first night we waited in line for 40+ minutes to eat. There was only one guy cooking meat to order as well as serving the hot sides. People wandered in and out of the queue (in other words, budging). and sometimes they were out of items when you got to the front. It was chaos. They need to run it more like the beach restaurant, with a grill off to the side. When I tried to eat at the a la carte, I was told they couldn't make anything vegetarian (although I was offered the salad bar). They offered Spanish lessons, and one day there were stretches on the beach. The catamaran is included with your stay, which I really liked doing. They sometimes had Cuban dancers and a singer. Once they had a terrific Cuban band. Otherwise they played really loud old pop music. They need more things to do such as dance lessons, exercise, Cuban music, informational sessions and the like. The beach is incredible. The pool was too noisy, I tried to sit there and couldn't even hear the people sitting with me. The lobby and other seating places look great. But they turn the lights on full at 5 pm, which doesn't make for a nice atmosphere. Cuba is what you make it, and I do love the beach. But if you want something more, I suggest going elsewhere.

Playa Vista Azul: Amasing sea

I was in my vacation november, 4 - november 11 The weather was amazing, a little bit windy. About hotel: the rooms smell damp, but it disappears every other day with the windows open. I don’t know if it’s like that in all the rooms, but we had it like that. Basically, I liked everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The mattresses squeak. Not very comfortable. But you can sleep if you drank some rum before going to bed. espagniols often come and skip the line and take almost [... read more] all the food, as they recruit for the whole camp. During this period, was terrible. Once the locals move out, everything is fine The pool snack bar is periodically closed. Or the staf is hiding food. We couldn't feed our children after a long flight. In the end, they brought food, but decided that we were eating raw meat. They wrapped it in rolls and spiced it with a minimal amount of mayonnaise and a slice of cucumber. It's good that they didn't spit. Thanks. Very little animation. On the beach, the animation was only 3 days out of 7. Boring. We need more animators on the beach. Basically everything was very good. The sea is great and warm. Food is ok mostly. There is always something to choose from. Compared to other hotels in Cuba where we have been. And we have been already about 11 times in Cuba, in this hotel, restaurant everything is very decent. Nice and clean. The staff are very polite and pleasant. Very kind and helpful people. I will recommend this hotel, but have to change somethings.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Nice Resort

This was out first visit to Valentin El Patriarca Veradero. We reserved the Privilege package and enjoyed the upgrade. Our room was beautiful and very clean. The resort did very well keeping all areas clean. Tables were wiped frequently in the common areas and the buffet required masks where you were served by the staff instead of everyone touching all the utensils. The grounds are beautiful and so well manicured. We chatted daily with one of the grounds keepers. Raul I think was his name. He was so welcoming and went out of his way to greet us with a wave and a smile. The reception / common areas were comfortable and I noticed were cleaned often. The privilege office was quick to respond to questions or requests. Zuri made his rounds daily and chatted with everyone. We felt very comfortable and welcomed at this resort. I had no fears of covid requirements and even the medical staff made us feel comfortable about the covid tests. Fantastic week we are so glad we booked and will be back.

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort

I recently stayed at vista azul resort in Cuba..i did the 200$ upgrade to privileged..$ very well spent..the resort itself was very well kept..beaches were 10/10..amenities were great..food was Very good..and i had heard differently..i highly recommended this resort for your next vacation..and the best part was the ppl who worked there..tho they have been hit hard by covid..no outside assistance..these cuban employees couldn't do anything more to make our stay the the most luxurious and very co [... read more]mfortable stay..will definitively be going back here to stay

Playa Vista Azul: Great resort

I can't say enough good about this resort. The grounds are kept beautifully and the beaches are lovely. We stayed in a premium room in the exclusive area. The service is impeccable, Yuriel was always available to do anything he could to make our stay most pleasurable. The bartender Danny was always ready with a drink and a smile for you. Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort…. I’ll go back!!

Lovely rooms very clean and comfortable. Food was great and grounds were beautiful. Staff were friendly, helpful and totally awesome!! Lobby was inviting and walked out to hey serenity pool which overlooked the ocean. Just beautiful! Beach was a little far but beach bar was open til very late and had entertainment. Very nice swim up bar but pool side had great service as well. The staff are the best that I have experienced so far! I will go again 😊

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Worst place I've been to in Cuba

Airport transfers went well. There's always that one person holding up the bus though. We were not asked for proof of Vax. A rapid test was given right after check in with the good doc, not your standard 15min rapid test, he said we were good after less than 2 or 3 mins. We bought a privilege pkg and it wasn't acknowledged as we were given standard yellow band and attempted to enter a privilege section and were denied. Easily corrected tho plus they changed our room. We were not given a lobste [... read more]r dinner but instead a special dinner ... They are different. However, I don't know one person who goes to Cuba for the food. The fruit was tasteless. Always always always lower your expectations when it comes to Cuba and you shouldn't be disappointed. The main dining room had cockroaches everywhere plus a killed a couple in the a la carte which is in the same building. Didn't see roaches or bugs in our room but my cot def saw better days. I didn't want to lift the sheets. Our AC worked but could def use a tune up. Our ground floor balcony door locked sometimes. The complimentary 20 min massage, have fun booking that or availability of time when wanting to upgrade and pay for spa services. Seems like all their resources went to the complimentary massage. They would.not refer me to a spa off site either. So basically stay somewhere else.

Club Kawama: Confortable et chaleureux

Le site est très bien entretenu, le personnel est vaillant et à l'écoute. Les services offerts sont adaptés aux normes sanitaires et les employés ont à coeur de les respecter. L'accès à la plage est idéal! C'est un lieu privilégier car la plage est à côté et on a la plus belle vue en ce qui concerne les lieux de restauration.

Club Kawama: Great Resort

Nice resort gorgeous beach, nice big pool. Resort was only 15-20 %capacity due to Cuba slowly opening up! Candio the server at the pool bar was fantastic kept us stocked with drinks for the entire week.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Royalton Hicacos and spa

This Hotel was amazing especially if you were Diamond club guest, a la cart every day, special invitations to chefs surprises, food for me was 5 stars, butler service,free scuba diving,catamaran excursion ,the grounds were very clean workers were on the grounds every day making shure the grounds were top notch, the staff,ong,can't get any friendlier, there was one beach bar staff named Happy,walks and smiles like a cowboy, his favorite saying, don't worry, be happy,lol,10 stars for him on Kew to [... read more] serve you, bravo Happy!! Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Patriarca- friendliest place ever

The resort was beautiful and the food was good (there is different choices in menu so if you’re not particularly fond of something you can just order something else). The hotel was clean. What made our stay particularly amazing was the staff. Each add every person was so friendly and helpful! We were always greeted with smiles and accommodated amazingly! I would definitely go back again!

The hotel was amazing; rooms were clean and beaches were outstanding. The services of all the staff was amazing I would go back anytime. Everyone was so nice enjoyed there company and there hospitality. The infinity pool was outstanding with the breath taking view. Have no complains will be there again. Club Kawama: Awesome resort!!

The resort was awesome the staff r amazing...the food was good...the view of the ocean was the best it always made my day looking at it so relaxing quiet...refreshing to swim in so warm in the afternoon in the morning a bit cool but refreshing...the grounds r very well kept by the workers who the upgrade mowing the lawn trimming the trees, etc...Varadero, Cuba is amazing I go again the people there r very friendly an welcoming to visitors...I recommend anyone to visit Varadero, Cuba...I do it  [... read more]again in a heart ❤ beat...
