Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in February and loved it so much we stayed again in April for another 2 weeks! The grounds are well maintained, the staff is wonderful and the food is really good! A special shout-out to Jesus at the Italian Restaurant, Junior and Melvin at the breakfast buffet and Dairy E, the sweetest girl ever! Also Johan at the outside pool bar made amazing drinks! We were well taken care off and we definitely go back again.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Great time at Dreams Flora

We just returned from a great stay at Dreams Flora. We travelled with three families with children aging from 3 to 14 years old. We had a ton of fun, resort was great, staff were super friendly and helpful and none of us experienced any thefts in our rooms. Summary of our trip is listed below. On average though [... read more] service was good, being Canadian we would have loved our coffee to be refreshed more often. 😊 Breakfast by far is the best meal of the day at the buffet. The kids section in the buffet is super cute and at the right height for little ones to pick their own items. The marshmallows were a big hit. The waffle and crepe station with the Nutella pump was so good. The restaurants all had great service, and we never had to wait long for a table. I would recommend trying all of them. Beach was fun – the kids did the activities everyday at 11 along with beach volleyball. The seaweed amounts change daily, and the staff do their best to clean it up. We did find we had to put towels down on a few days to get a spot with shade but there were a few mornings where we slept in and still managed to find some spots. It just depends on the day. There was always shade by the pool as an alternative. The pool closest to the lobby is ideal if you are looking for more shade and quiet. The bartenders there are super nice and make amazing drinks. It was a great place to end our day with one last drink and swim. The slides were amazing, the kids and adults had a blast there each day! The smaller kids’ section is right beside the slides which made it easy for me to keep an eye on the older kids while I hung out with my three year old. The nightly entertainment was pretty good. The Rock show was great, the beach and pool party nights were a lot of fun although Entertainment staff you need to expand your music playlists. The rooms were so amazing. In a family room we had so much space and having the two bathrooms made getting ready such a breeze. They really have put a lot of thought into providing spaces that work for larger families. Café Coco is a little slice of heaven in the afternoon when you need a pick me up. Our crew visited daily for various lattes and expresso options. They have alternative milks which was a blessing for all of us! Gym is fantastic if you enjoy working out. Very clean and tons of equipment with a great view of the water for anyone doing cardio. They need more free weights but that is likely on the way. 😊 Housekeeping was a bit random, some days they came some days they didn’t. We occasionally got snacks, but it wasn’t daily. This really wasn’t an issue for us because you simply could call down to get whatever you needed if your room was missed. The staff were always accommodating and very helpful. There are also snacks in the teen club. They broadcast sports in the sports bar above the stage if you are watching any play offs this month. One night they put the Leaf’s game on the main stage in the theatre which was a super cool experience for all the Toronto fans. We all had such a fun time. The resort is the perfect size, easy to walk around and get from one place to the next quite easily. Everything is well laid out and the grounds are beautiful. All and all given they have only been open for a couple of months things are operating well and by far the friendliest staff I have experienced in DR. I will recommend this resort to friends and family. Recommendations for the kids – smaller plastic cups for their drinks. All the drinks come adult size, and many were wasted because they couldn’t finish.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury at its best

The resort was amazing. We liked our room it was large, clean and had everything that we needed. The resort supplied robes, slippers, shampoo, conditioner body wash, body lotion, iron and hair blower. The service, food and entertainment was great. We were very pleased with everything this resort offered. I would love to go back and visit this resort again!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great vacation

The hotel staff are nice. The facility is maintained well. However the rooms are dated with mould and broken receptacles. It was not a five star hotel as stated. I will recommend this hotel to others. However, be aware of the scam of the Privilege Club. People have lost tens of thousands of US$s under this scam. Please read the reviews. I am a victim of this scam too.

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Nice Resort, Beautiful Beach

We travelled in late April to this lovely resort. The rooms were bright and clean. The resort was quiet on the Premium side with lots of space on the beach and by the pools, exactly what we were looking for. If you’re looking for more of a party atmosphere you can go to the other side of the resort. The beach is fantastic and there is a barrier around the swimming area that helps keep the seaweed out. As premium guests we were supposed to have unlimited a La cartes and priority booking. When we arrived the booking desk was closed so we returned the next day only to be told there was no availability for the rest of the week. This was Thursday. They told us to return Sunday. My husband went to the desk when it opened at eight AM and waited in line for two hours only to be told once more that everything was booked up. We did manage to eat at the Japanese and the Mediterranean because we asked the hostess at the door if they could fit us in. Butler service is also supposed to be included but apparently you have to request it because we didn’t see a butler until we asked the concierge. No robes and slippers were in the room either. Just a word of warning, there are three people sitting at a desk beside the check in desk. One of them will tell you he is your concierge for the week and he has arranged a special breakfast for you the next day. Turns out it’s a sales pitch for a vacation club. The lady was quite rude when we were not interested in buying so don’t waste your precious vacation time talking to them.

Occidental Punta Cana: Very nice resort!

We went to Occidental Punta Cana in mid-April 2023 through Air Transat, it was a breeze! They arranged transportation to and from the airport and were very accommodating getting you settled into your room. The room, building and grounds were very clean. Riu Republica: Great Resort in a wonderful Country, this place is party central

Riu Republica is a good resort which will meet the needs of most travellers. This resort is not on the glitzy side, rather on the practical side. The food is good in the main buffet and also good in the Specialty Restaurants. I had the Italian 5 nights in a row, because the lasagna and beef tenderloin were next level. The beach is good, and the seaweed is under control compared to other resorts along the stretch. The room is good and in practical. The tv had many options in English. The mini bar [... read more] is refilled daily if a tip is left. The place is constantly being cleaned, and mopped. The shaded pool lounges were comfortable enough and the Jerk Chicken near the beach is a nice touch for a pre lunch snack. Check In and Check Out are very efficient and the transportation to the airport is very reliable and stress free. I would return as the vacation cost was reasonable and the experience was desirable.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: amazing resort!

we had an incredible experience at the punta cana hard rock hotel. The grounds are beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The fruit was tasty and delicious! We would definitely go back!

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Amazing, friendly, fun, We loved it.

The grounds were gorgeous. Everyone who worked there was friendly and happy. We loved the beach and the choice of pools. The whirlpool on the balcony was an added bonus (except that we had to wear bathing suits.) Great choice of restaurants with lovely selection of salads, fruit, and main courses. My only complaint was that it was so dark at night, that it was hard to see and find our way back.....a little more lighting would be useful.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great location

The hotel was clean and nice. Our shower was a tad outdated but our room was nice and partial overlooking the ocean so that made up for it. The beach was decent. The food was so so, nothing to memorable though. The nightlife was nonexistent at this resort & everything closed midnight latest. Casino/ theatre/ disco/ etc was closed, not once was did we see this open, that was disappointing.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Nice & Clean

This resort is super clean, has (mostly) friendly staff, excellent food, and is a nice small resort. You can walk to everything within 5 minutes, but there's still plenty of pool space and a nice beach area. Overall, our experience was really good. We even went to the spa and enjoyed a massage and made use of the hydrotherapy pools - highly recommend. The only complaint that we have is with regards to the diamond club. We were given incorrect information about what our upgrade was going to incl [... read more]ude, paid for it, got no further information and then when we went searching for information we were told that half of the things we were told were included, actually were not. It was a waste of our money to be honest. The main beach area is really nice, so there's no need to have access to the diamond club beach. We never had any issues getting into eat at any of the restaurants, so reservations were not required. Overall, great resort but don't both wasting your money on the diamond club.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Catalonia Royal Bavaro

Was very happy and impressed about all aspects of our trip at this resort. The service, staff and grounds were exceptional. Was not impressed with the aggressive sales pitch upon arrival but this tends to be typical of most resort chains. The room we were in was impressive and included a infinite pool. This was one of our most relaxing holidays.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Nice beachfront

Shallow entry into water and nice beach. Room 1803 very nice location close to the beach and buffet. The room needs to be updated. The bathroom faucets and makeup mirror are very worn but we were willing to compromise for the ideal location

Ocean El Faro: really nice resort

rooms were nice, all public areas were good and clean. the food was good. never went hungry. didn't spend anytime on the beach but the pool and staff were amazing! the shows were a little late but good. there was always something to do and the lazy river was amazing!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Beautiful Resort

We had a Wonderful time at Barcelo Beach. Beautiful Beach, loved swimming in the ocean. Our room was very nice, overlooking the ocean and garden. The staff was superb. Grounds were well taken care of. Dining was very good. The buffet was great. The chez gourmet restaurant was really nice inside and the food was delicious. I can't say enough about this resort being a Wonderful place to go to for a nice relaxing vacation.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Worst Vacation I’ve Ever Had

First off, I found out by joining the Facebook fan page that the Be Live Collection was scheduled to be closed for renovations on the day of our arrival. Then I called my travel agent who was on holidays and her back up wasn’t around. Called the main line: they weren’t aware neither. Finally someone gets intel and confirms. I was told not to worry, Sunwing upgraded us to Jewel Palm Beach. After over a 4hr flight delay due to mechanical issues, we arrive at Jewel Palm Beach and we have no res [... read more]ervation there. They make us go next door to next Jewel. Not there either. I show them my booking itinerary which shows I’m at the Jewel Palm Beach. No Jewel in the vicinity has my reservation. It’s after 3am. No place to go. They phone the Jewel Punta Cana (over 45mins away) and we were there. 100% not where I wanted to be and had a horrible time. Sunwing and my agent will be getting a detailed email from me. Extremely disappointed.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Surprising resort

Expecting 5-star, Adult ONLY, ALL inclusive resort - however, connected to 5 other resorts. Too large, children nearby, including in restaurants, extra costs for some menu items and drinks, evening shows at other location at a cost. Restaurant reservations had to be made online and not available. A lot of areas where language was a barrier - everything had to be done on apps, which would be good to know ahead of time. Rooms quite nice, except for lack of shower privacy. Our swim out room wa [... read more]s nice, however, located along service route of noisy vehicles all day - so not so tranquil (Rm 62103). Overall, nice and thankful to be away but a little disappointed with it as a whole - initial advertising wasn't forthcoming.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Fantastic resort

Resort was clean, food was good (especially the French a la carte restaurant), plenty of sitting spaces near the beach/pools, staff was very friendly and provided amazing service. Our concierge, Emilio, was excellent - very friendly, helpful and always available to assist us with anything. He brought us champagne to our rooms when we didn’t even ask! Very sweet guy. My only complaint was the bed sheets in the rooms seemed a little damp due to moisture in the air but I’m not sure much could†[... read more]™ve been done about that. Regardless I enjoyed my stay and would come again.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Emilio was the highlight of our vacation

We were Xhale Club, so our check-in and check-out were smooth and fast. Our room was comfortable and always kept immaculate. We appreciated the nightly turndown service. Our host (butler) Emilio treated us like queens from the time that we got there until the time that we left. He went above and beyond for us, and he is the #1 reason why we will return to this resort. He is a real gem, and an asset to your company. Please pass along our gratitude to our beloved Emilio. The service from all staff was exceptionally great, There are too many to name, unfortunately. The entertainment was lively and energetic. The drinks at the Xhale Club lounge were spot on. There is so much more that I could say, but I will wrap it up by saying that everything was absolutely perfect!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Awesome resort!

Japanese, sea and see, and Italian restaurants for dinner were all great! just the buffet that wasn’t amazing, but still had lots of options. Front desk wasn’t very friendly, but all other workers were great especially our butler Gabriel. Shows at night were good. Lots of other things to do such as escape room, sports bar, shops, etc.
