Sol Turquesa Beach: Excellent service and beautiful grounds

The resort is very large and grounds and pools are very beautiful. The staff work hard to keep everything clean especially the public washrooms which are very well used so need to be maintained often. The food was pretty good for cuba ... but they need more slush machines or blenders to make proper Pina coldas and other slushy drinks. Pick your room carefully as your location is important due to the size of this resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nice Resort

We had a nice stay, didn't run into a bad or rude worker. Everyone was friendly! The resort itself was kept clean as was the beach! We had a great stay! It was very family friendly or it was nice to get away with a group of friends. There was something for everyone - beach, pool, bars, shows, activities, boating, fishing, it was great fun!

Sol Turquesa Beach: Worst Vacation ever

The food was terrible. There is to much walking they need benches along the way. Very dark going back to your room at night. No hot water for 3 days some people had no running water for 3 days. Most of the staff where not friendly at all. I just know I will never go back .

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great time at the Grand Memories Sanctuary

My husband and I spent last week at the Grand Memories Santuary with another couple. I really enjoyed the resort. The food was good, the entertainement was excellent. Roxanna and the staff at the pool bar were also excellent. As was our butler Able who bent over backwards to help us get réservations at our favorite restaurants both on and off resort.. The Santuary part of our resort was definatly worth the extra money. I would definatly recommend this resort to anyone needing a affordable gettaway. This was our first time in a while staying in a 4*, and I barely noticed the difference from our usual 5*

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Pleasantly Surprised

Before finalizing our trip, we asked the trip central agent and did a lot of research online. We adjusted our expectations because it is Cuba that we were traveling to. Check in was easy and fast however the first room we got had a moldy smell and it was dirty and the phone did not work. The door to our room looked like someone had broken into it. We requested to be moved rooms the same night. Front desk immediately assisted us and had the staff help us move into a different room. We again lowered our expectations just based on this experience and decided to make the best of the rest of the trip. The next day was a totally different experience, Food was amazing, everything in the buffet area was clean, hardly any flies buzzing around while you eat. It looked like someone was inspecting the food stations before they open and during lunch and dinner time. The beach is Amazing, it was breathtaking and any bad experience prior was completely forgotten. The rest of our week went perfectly Here's our overall rating, 5 being the highest Food Buffet: breakfast (3) Lunch:(4) Dinner (4) lobster every day A la cart: Mediterranean Lunch (4) Mediterranean Dinner(2) Italian Dinner (5) Emporium Dinner/show (4) Room(2.5) All the rooms require upgrades, phones did not work, toilet seat does not match the toilet bowl, the sliding door and screen is not aligned properly allowing bugs to come in. Beds needs new mattress, springs were collapsing. Grounds (5) The workers were always cleaning and tidying up the surrounding Some pathways were not lit properly Swimming pool (4) was cleaned daily Lobby: (4) Cleaned regularly and well lit Public bathroom (1) was dirty, requires upgrade,although someone cleans regularly but for some reason it was still dirty and no toilet paper or soap. Grand Memories Varadero: Elite catering and Extra billing rules

Let me say upfront the absolute best service we received from trip central was out of this world. Our previous four trips were with a large box store travel section in their store and we were floored by the attention to detail, the ongoing emails and the super follow up. We will be customers for life. We have been going to Cuba for 5 years now, various resorts in Veredero and Santa Maria, all inclusive. Increasingly these resorts are segregating areas and services to maximize profits. We  [... read more]paid $ 80 to sit together on the plane; there's a Diamond club that had access to more dining rooms and areas at additional costs ( $ 25 per person per day) ; there's an "adult only" area accessible only at additional cost with plenty of chairs,they have their own beach; the rest of the guests are forced into common areas with limited seating, as most guests put towels on both the chairs at the beach as well as the pool -- in effect reserving both areas; there is a VIP lounge at the airport available for a mere 30 CUCs each that will give you a sandwich, a beer and an air conditioned lounge. Problem is to get to it, you need to line up for 3 hours at the check in as well as the customs, so you are lucky to get an hour in it for this price; finally if you need to use the airport washroom (assuming you did not opt for the VIP) the attendants will greet you with their hands out for access. Ironically, the people who pay the biggest price is the hotel workers that are super friendly and hard working but do not get the tips they deserve because, in part, of the extra fees. Love Cuba but with all the add ins probably will explore other destinations, through trip central.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Best resort in Cuba 🇨🇺

We are a family of four, with two teens. We went over our kids' March break 2017. The resort is clean, in great repair, and well appointed. The staff are kind and helpful. The daily entertainment was more than sufficient, whether you like to relax or participate in activities. Plenty to do for everyone. We enjoyed the Mediterranean a la carte, and the buffet. The snack bar fare left a lot to be desired. The only good thing there was the pizza. Would be nice if they had chicken wings and an i [... read more]ce cream bar. The beach was AMAZING! Lots of chairs at both the beach and pool. We spent 20cuc per adult / 10cuc per youth for a glass bottom boat & snorkling excursion (1 hour +) which was great, and super convenient as the boat picked us up on the beach. Plenty of beverage areas on the beach, by the pool, and the lobby. We would definitely go back. Met some great people. The only real downer was that because the resort was filled to capacity the septic system grey water, flooded the grass behind our building, so we got a whiff of funky sewage when we stepped outside, but we didn't spend much time on our patio so it was not a huge issue for us. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: memories indeed

This time we chose the Sanctuary at Grand Memories.The accommodations were impeccably clean and close enough to the pool and restaurant area, but also very close to the private beach. Memories Paraiso: Great Beach!

Good value for the price. Great staff and lots to do! Catamaran excursion one of the best I've been on. Ocean view room did not disappoint. Long drive from airport was made pleasant because of scenery and commentary.

Memories Paraiso: Will not book again

Beautiful beach.... well worth the drive. Drinks are great and food ok but very repetitive. As for the resort, it needs some serious renovations. Plumbing is awful, public bathrooms are over flooded, some without toilet seats. Mostly only one or 2 stalls only working. Pool is great for kids, but entertainment during the day lacks. Definitely recommended the catamaran and dolphins excursion. I would return to cayo Santa Maria but would select a different resort.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: NEVER AGAIN!

This was a trip from HELL!!! No water for 6 days had to share a bed, Sunwing rep was horrible and enjoyed putting his hand up in your face because you wanted answers to everything. The entertainment staff could not get the crowd involved with activities. I will give some of the staff were absolutely amazing!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: A resort where the memories are made

Memories Caribe where the memories are sure to be made. The friendly staff start off your day of relaxation. The amazing beach, allowing you to walk miles out to see all that it has to offer. The pool giving you a place to just relax and take a load off. While the entertainment group make sure that you never go bored. Around every corner there is something to see or something to do. Memories Caribe, the place where your memories are sure to last.

Memories Paraiso: The beach was perfect!

Except the canalization problem and because of that daily water regime, everything else was great! The food, the service the area everything was excellent.Probably i would recommend more musical events during the night!

Resonance Blu Varadero: Dirty and unsafe retreat

There was vituslly no visible security at this resort. On our first evening there, I was almost sexually assaulted by another guest. He approached me drunk, attempted to apprehend me by forcefully grabbing me and hanging onto me. I tried to run away and escape his groping arms. I finally freed myself whilst running screaming for help and the " policia". I ran into a group of women ( literally) and explained my horror over what had just happened. They were aghast as it had just happened to their [... read more] Mother moments earlier. We all went to the front desk to report this and were told they would dispatch security. No ther action or consolation was offered. It was a traumatic experience that my 7 and 11 year old sons witnessed. Apparently, this predator ( pig from Russia) who tried to assault me was evicted from the resort several days later because he had also solicited several maids to have sex for money. I will never stay there again and will share my experience at Memories with all who ask . It was life altering.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Resort

The hotel was great! The staff in the Buffet were awesome. We were there for 2 weeks and found the food to be above average compared to other places we have been in Cuba. Overall the hotel and grounds were neat and clean. The beach was great .

Resonance Blu Varadero: Met our expectations

Memories Varadero is a large resort, very typical of any 3-4 star Cuban all-inclusive. Staff were friendly, and any issues we had were dealt with quickly. For such a large resort, the variety of food was lacking - the one large buffet restaurant served virtually the identical menu every night. Pools were nicely laid out, with one lounder "party" pool with water slide and spring break activities and one quieter pool, both with swim up bars. One thing to note is that this is a large resort, on a very large grounds, so a lot of walking is involved - probably a 10 minute walk from lobby to beach.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great Resort

Grounds were clean and well cared for, as were the dining rooms and beach area. Piano Bar area could use airing out, or maybe time for refurbish as there is a stench in the closed off glassed bar that makes you want to puke as the door closes behind you as you walk in. Other bars were good and attendants were friendly and attentive, but near end of our week became aggressive towards tipping (ASKING for absurd amount) overall our group of 26 had a good week I think.

Grand Memories Varadero: Quite enjoyable

Overall, our experience at this location was quite enjoyable. Rooms: -Our room was in Building building 24, 3rd floor- with first impressions in mind, efforts could have been placed to make it cleaner upon entrance. -The new lock boxes in each room are amazing! Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Memories Splash in Punta Cana

The resort is a great place for vacation with kids of all ages. The water park is amazing, food was excellent, room was not so bad. I really liked the experience and would recommend to anyone. The airport in Punta Cana could have been better fit for huge volume of people, but that was the only bad memory I have :)
