Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Good for the most part

Separate beds for my partner and I which I didn’t appreciate. Got the run around and they were never able to get us a bed together. My bed had hair from 2 different people on the sheets and blood stained into the sheets. The last person in the room left the sliding door open so there was at least 10 mosquitos in the room. Had to complain to the manager and took 2 days for someone to come clean it. Rooms are dated, nothing nice about them. Mosquitos wait right by your door to come in, I went ho [... read more]me with at least 50 bites which have now swollen. Diarrhea minimum 3x a day. Had to only eat bread and rice by the last few days. Other than the negative: Beautiful grounds. Charlie from the entertainment is super fun and friendly. The sunwing rep can help you if you need anything. Weather was good 5/7 days. It rained a lot on 2 days. Stayed in and played cards. Met a lot of great and interesting people from Germany, Austria, Montreal, and Ontario. Mostly older crowd, maybe only 20% younger. Would recommend going off the resort for nightlife, the marina is a 10 minute walk and has a club that’s not bad. Women, bring toilet paper.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful vacation

Nov 11 to 18. Only issue needed to change rooms as sliding glass door wouldn’t close. Hotel staff had us in another room 1/2 hour after arriving. We booked in spa area. Adults only. Very quiet. Building 20. Very close to everything. Encenochos beach is stunning. This was a trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary and our 1st time at this resort in cayo Santa Maria. Would definitely recommend and hope to be back again

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Small but mighty

I was very impressed with the overall quality.of the Iberostar Daquari. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff were friendly, food was really good, fairly quick lines ups at the buffet and bars. I could go on and on. There is a reason why they get repeat visitors.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Not very Happy Iberostar Laguna Azul

Was not pleased at all. Ran out of Crystal beer on the 2nd day, food limited, room had no air conditioning, nothing stocked in fridge except mold, was so disappointed we were there 4 years ago and it was fantastic, really has gone down hill, the only good thing is Dania and Kensey helped us out but still resort is going down hill fast, all resorts around looked run down, been going to Cuba for 11 years and now we are done, so sad such a wonderful place and wonderful people but resorts too run do [... read more]wn and not being renovated so sad

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Great resort

The resort was lovely and the people were even better. The food was not so great, typical of Cuba. The pool could have been vacuumed as there were crabs and cigarette butts on the bottom. I can’t say enough about the staff. My son made friends with one of the bartenders and when we left she gave him a gift. So sweet!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing resort

This was an amazing hotel. Everything was so clean and well kept. The grounds were beautiful as was the pool and beach. Would definetly go back here. The staff were all so friendly and the entertainment staff went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I was amazed that Marco and Marcello even remembered our names. Food was good and it was nice that there was a variety of restaurants to go to. All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great time!

Beautiful vacation resort. So much great food to eat, wonderful and friendly service from the staff and a clean beach to lounge at. We all enjoyed a kayaking adventure as well as other services the resort offers (scuba diving lesson, snorkeling). Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Resort!

We recently vacationed for a week at the Iberostar Costa Dorada with a group of 14. Check in was effecient with pleasant staff. We were in bldg. #7 on the 3rdfoor. Room was great and was cleaned well every day. We only had a little problem with our safe but someone came up and fixed it within minutes. The entire resort was well groomed. We enjoyed the buffets as there was lots of variety and the 3 alacartes were exceptional with wonderful service. Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great Family Vacation

We had a fantastic time in Veradera. The staff was amazing and very helpful. Our only issue was that we came home with bites. We are not sure if they came from the sand or the mattresses. Food was okay and the night time entertainment was amazing.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Wonderful Resort!!!

Just returned from a wonderful 5 day solo stay at this beautiful resort! Rooms - basic room with renovated bathroom. Room was fairly large, beds comfortable, stand up shower, balcony. Mini bar is restocked every other day with 3 cans of pop, beer and 1 litre of water. Blocks 15 & 16 are close to the beach however if noise is an issue you will have a problem as there is a late night beach party and foam party on two separate nights that go till 2am. As a vegetarian I was able to find a few things to eat at every meal. Can't say I was ever hungry. Bring snacks if you wish to have a lil something in between meals. A la carte restaurants should be reserved with guest services upon arrival. Drinks are fair. If at the bar by the pool or beach bring an insulated cup as the plastic cups are quite small. Entertainment - Unfortunately I didn't attend the late night shows in the theatre however the shows on the patio were lovely. The musicians and singers were fabulous, dancers were great. Beach activities were excellent!!! Peke and Charli and the lone female (apologies I cannot remember her name) did a great job getting activities started. Beach volleyball, beach yoga @ 9am, dance lessons on the beach at 10am and aquafit in the sea at 10:30am Beach/Pool - AMAZING BEACH!!! I would return to this resort for the beach alone. It was simply wonderful. Turquoise blue water, lil seaweed, enough sun loungers and umbrella's for everyone. Never had to fight for a spot. No bar on the beach but there is one not far away. Pool is lovely. Plenty of chairs and umbrella's by the pool. No swim up bar but there is a bar right beside the pool Grounds - immaculate. Staff maintaining the premises do an excellent job. Place is spotless. Every morning the ground keepers saw me outside and provided a fresh coconut for me to drink! Wifi - not free. One must purchase a wifi card at the front desk for 1 cuc. 1 card provides 1 hour of service. Only able to access in main lobby and by the pool. Servers/Bartenders - excellent job! They work very hard Overall this resort was great. Not too big and easy to walk about. Exactly what I was looking for. My only suggestion is if they could post a list of activities for the day in the lobby and maybe one other location. This way guests have an idea as to what is taking place, where and the time.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing resort and amazing staff

We had been at this resort 7 years ago and everything is the same only better in that there have been some improvements with the physical appearance of the buildings. The staff is what really makes this resort a top notch resort!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Beautiful Setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of choices for dining. Food was good. Could do with less pressure sales for goods and activities. Beach was nice but the amount of rock and coral in the water limited the water activities such as sailing and windsurfing.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Nice resort

Huge pools, small beach area, was hard to find a spot if you didn’t get there super early. Beautiful steak house on the beach in the sand. Loved the ocean view from the seafood restaurant. Felt brushed off by staff. We did enjoy our stay.

Location great. Beach awsome !!! Food good lots to choose from ,did not go hungry Drinks plentiful Service fantastic Rooms - great view - Guama section top floor,bed very comfortable only con for us is the location- nothing to do off resort due to area. But still a great place

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Super Staff

The resort was clean, the grounds were clean, the staff were the friendliness people I’ve ever met. The beach and pools were warm, drinks were cold very generous. We plan on returning again, for the price I don’t think it can be matched.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Beach water clear : no seaweed , Excellent hotel , Attentive pleasant Mayan Mexican staff

First time to this resort , after viewing a recent youtube.com video showing beach clear of sea weed , in Sep 2018 , as of 31 oct 2018 when we arrive, the beach is fantastic , water limpid clear, if there are any little seaweeds , the hotel staffs have clearing mechanical equipment to keep the beach impeccable 24/7 ,...excellent Buffet and great Restaurants , great show, ..there is a shopping center in the complex , ..excellent Mayan Mexican staff, pleasant , honest , peaceful , easy mannered al [... read more]l through the resort..great for family as well as singles..will definitely return , and will recommend to our friends...

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: wonderful trip,amazing resort.

Nice public area, service very good everywhere, the staff is very nice & helpful, the golf course is tough but maintain very well, the most restaurant food is good but will not recommend Haiku (Japanese cuisine) although the service and chief performance is very good, I think the menu and the food is not real Japanese cuisine, and the Sashimi and sake is not perfect match with this 5 star hotel reputation.Overall,I like this resort,and will highly recommend my friends come and stay.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fantastic Trip

This was our 18th trip to Cuba and like the first 17... it was amazing! Rooms were comfortable and clean, food was decent (you certainly won't starve), the beach is amazing (although the tide brought in some seaweed on the first 2 days but no one can help that except mother nature), pool was clean and enjoyable... We went oct 26-Nov 4... this time of year brings out the mosquitos so bring bug repellent (with deet). The mosquitos were only bad in the evening and there were no sand fleas that bothered us so it was manageable. The internet in the lobby worked amazing - best connection and speed of any resort we've visited. This made it nice to be able to speak to my family at home in the evenings while enjoying the entertainment in the lobby. All in all.... we were very happy and we will definitely be going back!!
