Playa Pesquero: Amazing Resort!

This is our 2nd time visiting this resort. It has exceeded our expectations in everything. Food, cleanliness, service and beach. The gardens and statues are so beautiful to see while walking around the resort. We will definitely be back :)

Brisas Guardalavaca: Fun in The Sun

Had an ocean view room on the top floor. The view was spectacular. The staff is great. The food passes. Paddle boats adn kayaks are available. I was there when 150 Touris Industry people attended.. Brisdas put on a great show for those people. Left London ON at 12 noon SUnday; arrived at Brisas at 2AM Monday. Left Brisas at noon Thursday, arrived home at 4 am Friday. I would go to Brisas Guardalavaca again, but with different transportation.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Treated regally at the Royal Service

We keep returning to this resort because of its superb class of service, beautiful grounds and excellent cuisine. The rooms and amenities on the resort side named "RS" are indeed superior albeit more expensive than the main side. I feel safe and secure walking alone at night and one can always use transportation (electric carts) that are always available. The rooms are breathtaking. The resort has a botanical garden and friendly talented gardeners who work tirelessly to preserve the beauty of the resort. This resort is spotless is common and private areas. It is classy and totally relaxing!

Playa Pesquero: Beautiful resort, wonderful vacation.

This was my second time at this amazing resort and I loved it just as much as the first time I visited it four years ago. The grounds are so lovingly looked after, the pool and beach are beautiful and well cared for. The people and the service were excellent. If I had one complaint it would be that the food could have been hotter. I have heard so many complain about the food but I found that there was always something on the menu you could eat, after all people this is Cuba. Playa Costa Verde: Just a great place to relax

The hotel was clean, well laid out and everyone very friendly. The beach was so pretty and we just enjoyed ourselves immensely. We were a family of 8 and if we had a small problem the reception desk were quick at fixing our problem. The worst problem we had was the fact my husband incorrectly locked the safe and within 1/2 an hour we were able to retrieve our stuff and continue on with the rest of our evening. Sol Turquesa Beach: Relaxing week

We went to Memories Holguin (2 adults and a 6 years old kid) on the week of Apr 15-22. Beautiful layout, nice 5 pools, small beach, food was ok but not too much variety. The staff is very friendly but sometimes a bit distracted, slow or too busy to attend your request. Weather was cloudy and got some rain but still hot and pleasant. Nice night shows but poor entertainment for the kids. Big and clean room with comfortable beds. Not too busy, always found chairs at the pool and beach.

Playa Pesquero: Average one..

Great beach and water, bad buffet, but good "A La cart" restaurants, poor conditions of the rooms, excellent stuff all over the resort. There could be improvement done based on experience from Playa Cayo Santa Maria.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Another amazing week at Brisas Guaralavaca, Holguin, Cuba

You will not be disappointed staying at this resort. This was our 3rd visit. The main buffet has a good assortment of protein (fish, chicken, beef, pork, rabbit, turkey) vegetables, fruit, breads, rice, sweets, ice cream and so much more with every meal. There is a stir fry station and a pasta station, with a chef at both preparing your very own meal request. You have to sample their red tomato based sauce....soooooo yummy. We only went to one a la carte (Italian). It was a very good meal. I had [... read more] the lasagna, salad and dessert. We stayed in the villa section room 1103. Very clean, roomy, lots of hot water and close to the pool and pool bar.(take note they do not have face clothes) I pack a puff. There is also a smaller buffet for breakfast in the villa section as well as 4 bars (one is very near the beach) and a convenience store that has everything that you may have forgotten to pack. (shampoo, shaving cream, toothpaste,beach towels, souveniers, booze, water, fruit drinks, sun screen, flip flops, hats, blow up floaties and diapers for the little ones).. and much more. The night time entertainment was good. There is a donut station and ice cream parlour that is opened from noon-4pm everyday. (Don't pass them up, you're on vacation live a little) These are located near the 5 storey hotel and 24 hour bar. The ocean was so warm. You wanted to stay in the whole day. We took foam pool noodles. They were nice to float around with. They fit perfect inside the outer edge of your suitcase and weigh nothing. We gave the noodles to a family before we left. Try the paddle boats and kayaks too. They are free to use. The water wasn't rough so they were very easy to navigate. The Canadian dollar exchanged at .70 cents, therefore we lost $30.00 per hundred. There was a small market at the very end of our street. Lots of vendors. They allow you to browse without any pressure. In closing I'd like to say that this resort is entirely wheelchair accessible. Sol Turquesa Beach: Terrible

My family and I stayed there from April 25 to May 6 of 2017. We were able to deal with a dirty room, a bad door lock, a bad safe, a very disappointing dinner for return guests, and even very uncomfortable beds. I cannot deal however, with Cockroaches in our rooms, a rude bar staff at the beach, stepping in some kind of shit in the dinning room, a failed promise to be allowed to stay in our rooms free of charge on the day of our departure, a failed promise of four free massages to make up for t [... read more]he disappointing dinner and me stepping in shit in the dinning room, plus my camera being stolen from my room on the very last day. I am very angry, but mostly hurt because most of the workers have been very nice and helpful for the past three years, however management has been overworking them and caring very little for their guests. I will definitely not be coming back ever again. Thank you useless management.

Playa Costa Verde: GREAT RESORT

very clean, we loved the beer corner, service was always great, restaurants were amazing, buffet was average, friendly staff, average entertainment, pool was good with lots of activities for all ages. overall - very good, we would go back.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great beach !!

4th trip back here and many more to come. Great resort, great beach, good snorkeling, friendly staff. Stayed on the Luna side again as it is closer to the beach and quieter, Kattie the Sunwing rep. was very helpfull, the hotel is in the process of upgrading (painting, updating etc) but doesn't cause any inconvience, the grounds are beautifull and the food keeps getting better each year, can't wait to go back !!

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Resort for relaxe and party

The resort sas cery clean. The room was normal but clean. The bath need renovation. The food at the buffet was very good. The two restaurant include in my travel pack was good to. The personnel was vert great. Only the personnel at the reception was unhappy to work. Vers good trip!

Sol Turquesa Beach: The resort was acceptable.

The resort is very large and beautiful. It is built on a side of mountain. It is not good for people with disabilities. There are a lot of steps to go to either a snack bar or the buffet. There is a lot of walking to everywhere. We love walking but this was more than we expected. The food is not as good as we are used to in other areas of Cuba. The pool area was beautiful and always have a chair to sit in. The pools cascade from top to the bottom and are very clean. The beach is v [... read more]ery private and great for swimming and always have a chair for sun tanning. There have a lot of shade if you needed. There is also a beach bar that serves food along with the drinks. One day they had a foam party on the beach which was so much fun and the little children loved it. They had a lot of activities for people who wanted to join in. We loved the snack bar it was covered and served pizza, hamburger, hot dogs etc. for lunch. They also made great cappuccinos. It was nice to sit and relax. Not used by that many people. The buffet area was very big and not always very busy. The staff at the resort are very nice and helped anyway they could. Our room was very nice and large. We were in the 700 area which was the second last building at the end of the resort. Like I said we did a lot of walking. If you could not walk they offered golf carts to pick you up. The maid was supper nice and she introduced herself on the second day. We did not go off the resort, we have been to Holguin before and did the day trips at that time. This time we just relax.

Playa Pesquero: Even better the second time

This was mine and my sister's second time at this resort ,the last being 10 years ago and we had an even better time this time around. The staff are brilliant ,absolutely ready to help you out with anything. At this point I would normally add some constructive criticism but I have none ,it was perfect ! The resort was under a major overhaul and the lobby was being painted and refurbished ,plus new gardens and walkways but not once did it get in our way or anything bother us . Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Best Holiday to Cuba in a long time and fantastic resort

The hotel was awesome, staff was very friendly and pleasant to speak to. The food was very good for Cuba, no complaints, The Italian restaurant had the best pizza I have ever tasted. The pools were awesome, bars around the pool were great, didn't have to wait long for a drink, service was over all good. The grounds at the Blau Costa Verde were gorgeous, I didn't realize how big the resort was until we walked around, and the flowers and the grounds were well looked after, and trimmed nice. [... read more] The staff everywhere were very friendly and helpful, made us feel at home, and very welcome. We would go back and recommend this resort.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good location, great staff

As others said do not stay in the barracks. Upgrade to villas and you will enjoy it. You can upgrade at the hotel which I did. Lots of people from south america. The food tastes not bad but the presentation and the selection are poor. I stayed at Brisas before. It's a better hotel but Atlantico is closer to the public beach. Went only to the seafood restaurant (twice) that I recommend. Ate breakfast and lunch at Benny More or the 24hrs bar. Saw only one show (traditional) and it was very go [... read more]od. The biggest asset is the staff. Come open minded.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Mediocre Resort

The servers in the buffet weren't very happy (which is quite understandable as they were probably working 18 hours a day). Most of the bartenders are extremely friendly and nice (especially the pool-bar bartender, he became my boy by the end of the trip). The entertainers are extremely awesome and friendly as well, I was constantly talking to them and they were clearly happy to be there working! My negative part comes down to the overall cleanliness of the resort and my room. My room was not cle [... read more]an, and it seemed as though the maids did not clean anything in my room (and I did not put the "do not clean" sign up). I noticed the same mark on my sheets every day after the maids had visited. Not only that, my bed was absolutely terrible; I left the resort with bruises on my stomach because of the springs digging into me. I did not stay on the Plus, which I wish I had as I made friends while on the trip, and they had told me those rooms were much nicer. The a la carte restaurants were pretty good, and the Italian a la carte restaurant allows you to eat there during the lunch hour. They provide a different lunch menu serving pizza and pasta (the pizza was actually really good, and was thin crust). Overall, I rate the resort 3.5/5. I would maybe go back if the rooms were cleaner and my bed springs didn't dig into me.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Wonderful Adult Vacation

Travelled with 4 adults to the plus side of the resort from April 21-28. We had 2 rooms very close to one another (could see each others doors) without even having to ask. The rooms were very nice and featured a shower that would rival the best 5 star hotels. Excellent shower heads with lots of water pressure and room for 2 people easily. The beds were a little firm for my tastes, but I still found them comfortable. The food at this resort is much better than I have come to expect from Cuba. [... read more] Buffet was good, restaurant by the VIP pool had great lunches, and the a la cartes were to die for! We tried Spanish and Italian and I would happily pay 50$ + per person for those meals in Canada! The house red wine is also pretty good which was a welcome change from most resorts. One small food annoyance is how busy the prepared food stations in the buffet get. Made the unfortunate choice of waiting for the fresh pasta station one night and it took over 30 minutes...going forward I just created my own using the pasta and sauce selections available with multiple meats and veggies, just as good! If you want a shady area by either pool or the beach and expect to stay in the area until you are finished - other guests will steal your towels if you leave too long and you need to pay to replace them (as learned by some people we met at the resort who left to go to the market for 2 hours with saved chairs). I personally think that the act of saving chairs in the shade should be banned as it prevents people from being able to enjoy their vacation....but we happily took places in the shun and went into the shaded VIP pool bar when we got too warm! VIP bar is open from 6pm-9pm and is amazing. Bartenders are wonderful and will go the extra mile to make your drinks special. You can ask to have them turn up the music a bit so long as no one objects and get a dance party going as well, very fun! All in all an amazing vacation, and I will definitely be going back!

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Expanded rooms but nothing else was added

Drinks where poor , people taking chairs is the worse I have ever seen ,rooms clean ,food was rotated starting day two never stayed at a place that their was a line up to get into buffets daily , will not be returning not even for free
