Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Great staff and good food

The hotel was very nicely kept but it was so spread out that it was almost inconvenient. The staff were amazing helping out with whatever they could and always smiling. The food throughout the different restaurants was good and the drinks were cold.

Riu Vallarta: October Getaway

Overall the hotel is very clean and comfortable, the grounds are well maintained and the food was very tasty. There were times when the Flamingo Restaurant had some difficulties with the soft ice cream machine and the cappucino maker, but they tried to fix it as quickly as possible. The downside was the volume level of the entertainment and the fact that the theatre was situated within the courtyard so that the sound had considerable reverb. The entertainment team was great. Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Lively and fun!

This is my third time to Decameron in Nuevo Vallarta in the past 13 years. It doesn't claim to be a five-star resort, but to me, that's what gives it its character. The resort is very clean, the grounds are impeccably maintained, the staff are beyond friendly... they really seem to love working there, and the whole vibe of the resort is welcoming and fun, rather than five-star stuffy. The rooms are a little dated and some are in need of minor repairs, but nothing that bothered me. How much time will you spend in your room anyway? We only slept there... too much to do elsewhere! The ocean was just steps from our ground-floor room, so we had some fabulous, dramatic night-time lightening storms over the waves, only to have the sun shine brightly the next day. Such a beautiful place. Take the effort to "escape" too... a short walk to the main highway and you can catch a cab, or if you're adventurous, go for public transportation for a fraction of the cost and loads more fun and head into town. The people there are gracious and hospitable. Love Mexico! Decameron is perfectly located.

Tropicana Hotel: Great location...walk to everything!

The grounds are kept tidy and neat, nice layout of resort and nice and quiet at night. Would deffinetly stay here again and recommend to friends. This is not a 5* resort, but you're not paying 5* prices either!

Riu Vallarta: Nice place to spent your vacation.

A nice hotel, amazing view, excellent restaurants with delicious food and very good experience at the pool. My son (6y) became very confident with wether. The room very spatious but not very clean. One of the minus of this hotel is using their " brown towels".

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Beautiful place

Very relaxing experience,friendly staff,food and drinks were so good that I miss them already.The room was always done every single day no to forget to mention the salty piscine for sure a place to come back soon.

Riu Palace Pacifico: This is an amazing resort.

Excellent room , Master Suite 8066- great view for sunrise and sunset pictures. Woderfull staff, great food, daily and nightly entertainment. Great pool and beach. Spent two weeks with family. Will definitely go back for a 3rd time.

Riu Palace Pacifico: A must stay

This hotel was beautiful, the staff were so friendly always smiling , the food was the BEST I have ever eaten in Mexico I would recommend this place to any of my friends or family. I will be going back.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Very Disappointing

I had read the negative reviews but I decided to not pay much attention to them as I have stayed at lovely places with negative reviews. I went very optimistically and was very disappointed. The food was very basic. Every pastry had a weird 'background' taste. So much sweet sauces and really not very healthy. Salads were tired, food was not kept cold enough to look and stay fresh. Just a seated meal where buffet food was brought to you with only a 5 dish option! The Thai one was quite funny. Ordered a Pad Thai which I thought shouldn't be too hard for them to make..menu said rice noodles. It was just packet pasta with a white sauce and a few peanuts! Was more italian and certainly NOT Thai! My daughter and I both had 2 very long days and nights where we were very ill from suspected food poisoning. There were flies in the buffet section and people were handling the food and kids were touching and breathing on it too. We have travelled extensively through Malaysia and Indonesia and Thailand and have never been so sick as we were at this resort. In other places I have eaten street food from tiny carts - there was something wrong here at this resort for us to be so ill. I did observe the bar staff rinsing the blenders in tap water when preparing drinks so was suspicious about that too. The beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. Our room was a very long way from the main areas and there was no information in our room about the activities on offer in the resort. There was no free shuttle bus to town. Had to buy a tour for $69USD if you wanted the shuttle. My daughter who is not yet 18 had a children's wrist band so she wasn't allowed in the adult pool or gym. She is an older, very quiet, mature teen who was alway accompanied by me. The other pools were full of screaming noisy kids and the adult pool was empty. We went in for a quiet swim and were told rudely to get out! The pools close while it is still light and hot. -at 6pm. Too may stupid rules -felt like we were in a concentration camp at times and we just wanted to go home. Pool water was too hot for me as the pools are shallow but that is a personal preference. Internet was only in public lobby and there were not many places to sit. They had 80s music throughout the resort for the entire week - THE SAME PLAYLIST@ I would hear the same songs 6+times a day - and could predict what was next - DROVE us crazy! Would have loved some live mexican music at some stage at dinner. I guess I expected an AI resort was like a cruise on land...it wasn't!!! I felt like we wasted our week of valuable vacation time. Would NEVER stay there again. Was too scared to complain in person as I witnessed several other people make complains and they were verbally attacked by a manager. I did not want to get further stressed by that and was feeling pretty exhausted and unwell. I have never written a negative review like this before and have more than 90 reviews on Trip Advisor. So much more negative I could talk about but Im over even thinking about it now. Our room maid was great though and we tipped her well,

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Convenient and comfortable resort

The grounds, public areas are very clean. The room, where we're staying in the main building, has a very bad smell, maybe from the toilet. The cleaning lady cleaned the room well. The buffet is good. The food tends to be a bit salty. The dessert is excellent. The services at the buffet and resturant are very good. There evening entertainment almost non existant. The location of Occidential is good, nice beach, close to shopping mall. The bicycle path is nice. Neuvo Vallarta is safe, clean and pr [... read more]etty. Although the ocean is not very clear, the wave is not too strong, the sand is fine and nice long walk.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Great place

A nice new resort. First class food. I can not say enough about the quality of food. Incredible rooms...loved it. The service was phenominal...the lobby was fantastic. Sitting out on the lobby terrace for an after dinner cocktail listening to the live band...wonderful!!!

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Incredible Resort!

This resort was absolutely wonderful. The service from start to finish was amazing and special kudos to Rosa in the lobby bar she was wonderful. Food was amazing and so much variety! The only reason that we didn't rank the pools/beaches a 5 is the ocean was extremely rocky but nothing the resort can do about that. The pools were wonderful and extremely clean. Capers on the Now side was my favorite place to eat as well however the food was good whereever we went. The only downfall was the "member [... read more]ship" meeting as the one manager was extremely agressive and just rude after we had said no about 8 times. we were kept there for 3 hours and it was extremely frustrating. Definitely say no to the special meeting when you check in as its not at all worth it. Just get an awesome rep from Tripcentral like we did and they will be lower than what you would pay as a member anyways.

Everything was absolutely amazing. Feels like the resort is well managed. Lots of employees wearing different uniforms for different jobs, but nobody was just sitting around. Everybody had a purpose of being there. 1) The grounds were clean. We liked especially abundance of greenery between the buildings, the botanical garden and the zoo. 2) The pools were also clean. Appreciated several toilets outside the pool area and on the grounds; did not have to go to the our room for that reason. Also we [... read more] liked that there were several showers on the grounds to rinse the salt water or the sandy feet coming up from the sea. 3) Food is amazing. Daily decorations at the buffet is nice. All four restaurants were a nice addition; however the buffet was so bountiful, we tended always to come back for desserts. Our favorite was Flamed Crepes with Edgar. 4) Activities at the main pool are for all ages and for all tastes and will keep you active all day long.We loved water aerobics with Tania or Fernando, crazy games with Daniel or Martin, trivia questions, bar tending classes with Alehandra, tequila tasting classes, salsa classes with Tanya "Bonito", archery with Martin, volleyball tournaments employees against guests. 4) The only negative comment is due to the nature's design of the see shore. See shore is rocky, especially dangerous under the water, when you can not see the rocks. Both of us injured our toes when the waves lifted us and threw on the rocks.

Samba Vallarta: A great place to stay!

The food was great and the staff amazing!! The staff was extremely friendly, joking with us and answering all of our questions! The resort was clean and you could see the staff cleaning everyday! The room were great! There were tons of activities that you could participate in but we chose to lounge on the beach

Occidental Nuevo Vallarta: Unforgettable experience

It was a perfect stay in every way. The hotel is modern and well-maintained, the staff is extremely helpful, all the amenities are conveniently located, the food is excellent, and the ocean was so warm!

Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit: Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit does not disappoint!

Stayed in the Grand Class Suite. View was breathtaking. Every time we entered our room we we struck by the beautiful sweeping views of the mountains, beach and the hotel grounds. Immaculately maintained resort. Never an issue finding a chair by the pool. Towels in abundance without asking. Staff always willing to go the extra mile for you and always do it with a smile.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Fantastic Resort!!!

We had an excellent time at Secrets Vallarta Bay!!! We will definitely go back. Just be aware that the beach is not very good; it has stones and rocks. You will need to ware water shoes and very rough water and undertow. JUST BE AWARE THAT AS SOON AS YOU CHECK IN THEY ARE IMMEDIATELY TRYING TO SIGN YOU UP FOR A "TIME SHARE" PROGRAM .....They tell you it isn't a time share but it is and the pressure is very hard core. Don't get sucked in with their promise of receiving spa credits and a free excu [... read more]rsion in exchange of 90 minutes of you time. They tag team and you end up going through 4 different levels of sales tactics. IT'S NOT WORTH WASTING YOUR VALUABLE VACATION TIME WITH THIS HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH. You are much better off saying you are not interested and buying your own spa treatments and excursions.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Amazing resort

Good place for vacation. Staff very supportive, clean rooms, excellent food and drinks. All inclusive package is worth every penny. Missed 24 hr. english movie channel. Thank you filpe, armando, roberto and patricia (chef) for excellent service.

Villa Del Palmar Flamingos: Amazing resort

It is new,clean, beautiful. Foods are good except not much selections on menu. There weren't different menu on each night and each restaurant. The restaurant by beach has no air condition that is a bit too hot to enjoy diner.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Holiday Inn Resort Puerto Vallarta

Had a great stay on this resort. The biggest problem was the eating areas are not air conditioned . The people very nice and had a good time . Bratenders at the lobby bar are amazing watching them work in the heat and deleivering top notch service to all the travlers was great. Close to the buses stops heading into dt so its great. Over all i would go back because we got a great deal on this place.
