Iberostar Selection Cancun: Amazin Resort

People are so kind friendly. Beautiful view from the rom. Many kind of swimming pool for diffierent age and very well maintained. Clean everywhere. Foor is awesom. Many kind of food cooked by professional cooker. If I want to go to cancun again, I will go to the lberostar agina for sure!

Moon Palace Cancun: Beautiful resort for pool people

This was hands down the nicest resort we've been too. And if they ever get the beach fixed to be at least swimmable we might not go anywhere else. For pool people this resort is nothing less than spectacular. The rooms were perfect, everything worked well, it was spotless and cleaned well daily, no musty smell from the age or humidity you sometimes see. We really liked not having to line up and book the customary 3 a la carte restaurants. All the restaurants were available to us each night. Of course don't expect 3 Micheline star cuisine but if your smart about what to order you can eat wonderfully and I'm a foodie. My wife was also really impressed with the room service. The pools, bars, swim-up bars were all great. Our daughter had a great time in the big pools, the waterslide and the kids mini-waterpark pool. In fact we all did because thats the only problem with this resort. The beach is just terrible but more about that later. Another big benefit at this resort is they give you 1200$US in resort credits to use at the spa, some excursions, and selected items in the shops. My wife said the spa there was excellent and really enjoyed the service. We also took the entire family on an excursion to swim with dolphins which was amazing. They no longer have dolphins on site at the resort. the minor catch is you do have to pay the taxes. Definitely take advantage of this. Now that sad part. At the beach the sand is wonderful, soft and fine. There are lots of beach chairs and palupas mostly because nobody goes to the beach due to the seaweed. But the seaweed problem is massive. Each day we saw them carting away dump trucks of seaweed and working on the beach with big machinery. Literally dozens of dump trucks over the course of the day, and yet it didn't look like it made a difference. I should be clear, seaweed doesn't really bother me and I went into the water once. I didn't want to go back. I swam out a ways trying to get to a spot where there water colour looked to change hoping there would be a sand or rock bottom and it would clear. But the problem is more than just seaweed. The bottom actually feels like muck, seaweed and mud when you step anywhere more than 5 feet in. And the water is brown as a result and you can't see through it more than 12 inches. Its just not fun. For this reason alone we won't go back to the Moon Palace because we are beach people. I like to snorkel and the only way to do that here is to pay for excursions and snorkel somewhere else. One thing I should note is the beach at the Beach Palace Resort in Cancun is beautiful. Its not the best we've ever seen but its all sand bottom and blue waters and only a little bit of seaweed. Even my wife went in and loved it. There is a shuttle to take you there from Moon Palace or a taxi ride costs about 25$. You have full access to this resort as a guest at Moon Palace so if yoou are like us and need a beach day its not a bad option.

Riu Cancun: This hotel is perfect!

We just come back from 7 days allinclusive stay at Riu Cancun (September 2015) and this hotel is perfect :-) Newly renovated, clean and modern with a breathtaking oceanview (on the 8th floor) on the white sandy beaches, four oceanview pools, four restaurant and two buffets, excellent food, drinks, four elevators, nice peoples everywhere, serving drinks on the beach. Secrets Playa Mujeres: Great resort for adult groups

We arrived Sept 5-12/15 as a group of 12. We had a 35 minute ride from the airport and were greeted with a cool towel and champagne. We then had to wait for check in which took 45 minutes. Not sure why check in so complicated and time consuming. Their was only one other couple checking in at the time. They appeared overwhelmed and not happy. We were the only couple who didn't get their requested building and floor. I was the organizer of the trip and had previously been to Secrets Capri, Secrets Maroma and Secrets Huatulco . We were so disappointed. We had building 2-looking out over the construction site. Not a great reward for a repeating customer. After discussions with the front desk and finally a manager we were checked into building 4 first floor to be promised a room change on the Wed.to building 3-4'th floor. This did happen but I still believe it could have been avoided. For the most part this is a beautiful resort with a different layout. Once the plant life matures it will be beautiful. We didn't mind the shuttles especially as we had a very warm week and the transportation to the restaurants, sports bar, doctor etc was appreciated. You never had to wait and the drivers always pleasant. Travelling with a larger group some resorts will not accommodate requests to dine together such as the Excellance .. Secrets has no problem with setting up tables even if it was in groups of 6 beside each other. There is no reservations required. We had a great time at Portofino, Bordeaux, Japanese Himitsu- hibachi, Oceana. Yes, long pants are required but that happens at any 5 * adults only we have experienced and we have been to many. The one thing that has been mentioned in other reviews is the lack of air conditioning and or no fans in the out door venues like Oceana and Sea Side Grill. We had an exceptionally warm week however that needs to be addressed. Yes their are mosquitoes but the resort has spray available at the front lobby if requested and the restaurants also have it for your use. The service was always great and although the food varied in quality we all enjoyed our meals. For a casual lunch we went to the Bare foot Grill or the BBQ at the beach. Casual dress code. If you wanted variety the Market Cafe buffet was a great option for lunch. Breakfast was also great-well thought out in the planning of the layout of the buffet so it looks smaller but still able to offer all that you would need. Thursday the buffet was open at night for dinner-surf and turf. What is missing is lobster. It wasn't available at any restaurant which is a first for us at any 5* adults only. That was disappointing. Nice touch at Secrets is the Coco Café for coffees and desserts-they change through out the day. Staff very friendly. Perhaps adding an ice cream venue would be appreciated although one day they did have a portable popsicle station available. We never had a problem finding chairs at the pool or at the beach. Plenty of towels but no place to put used towels. The beach offered a breeze. The sea weed was removed quickly each morning. It was never an issue getting into the warm ocean. The one area that could be addressed here is washrooms being closer. You have to walk back to the pool area so plan ahead. Bars-All I can say on that is most of the bar tenders are pleasant. However unless you watch them make your drink you will get the cheaper liquors. We did enjoy the wines offered and attended the wine tasting. We did hope to try the Mexican wines that they have offered at other Secrets with this activity but they focused more on how to drink the wines and we tasted the house wines. The nice thing we enjoyed was no flimsy cups-the glasses matched your drinks. We did many of the activities. The activity team is very up beat and engaging whether pool side or at the beach. We went on the bicycle tour. Although very hot by 10:00 am in the morning. It was fun and informative. It would be great if it was at 9:00-slightly cooler. It was disappointing that they were not available for personal use after the tour as we have experienced at other resorts. We also as a group played Bingo-enjoyable with the exception when it was organized by we believe Diana-who is called Sergeant-painting on our arms etc. if we didn't obey the rules of the games. It wasn't fun. Some guests left the activity as they didn't like the atmosphere. It felt very demeaning. My husband and another friend went diving twice through out the week-both two tank dives. They went with Solo Buceo-they have a kiosk on the beach, My husband has dove with this organization in the past and feels it is one of the better dive operators in the Cancun area.. The gym was clean, new equipment and great hours. They do have a functional trainer which was appreciated but unusual for a resort gym. Victor was always available to help you with your work out. There has been allot of mention about falls and tripping-more so at night. It is an issue as there are allot of elevations to watch for that are not well marked. I was trying to be careful due to warnings on trip advisor but I missed an elevation change at the ramp going into the Portofina restaurant and the 2 " wood deck and I fell. I ended up seeing the Doctor for stitches and as soon as I got home I was in emergency for a broken foot I didn't address the foot with the Doctor as I thought I had just sprained it. The Doctora Cecelia is available on site 24 hours a day. That is a great feature of this resort. We wish her well in her future. Thank you for your care. During the dinner at Portofino my friends watched 8 others also fall or stumble in the same area over a 2 hour period. I wasn't alone as we saw a girl with a broken arm and another in a wheelchair with a leg injury. Better lighting or finishing the ramps so they slope on the sides not just drop off would really help. As a group we had a great time. Would I go back-probable not as their are so many other resorts to go to. We had many places at this hotel to gather and relax with a drink after dinner. Our favorite was the Piano bar. We didn't get to any night entertainment as we ate later in the evening. There was live music through out the day and into the evening that was appreciated. This resort is open to groups-if you are looking for a couples format this Secrets might not be a good match for you. Also until the Dreams resort is built behind building 2 you may want to request another building. The construction will only increase as presently they are preparing the site and they do have large lights recently erected around the construction site that suggest working through after sunset might happen soon. Go and enjoy. It is still a great venue that will get better with time.

Paradisus Cancun: Wonderful stay

I just got back from a 5-day, all-inclusive stay at the Paradisus Cancun and I already want to go back. The resort was lovely and the staff was super friendly. The room was clean and well-maintained. The food was incredible!! The pool was big enough for all the different parties at the resort. Great resort and they really know how to pamper you!

Moon Palace Cancun: Good Resort with excellent facilities

Resort is in good shape with excellent facilities, clean and staff are all very accommodating and friendly, except for minor smell of sea water because of seaweeds thus swimming is basically limited to pool area only.

Iberostar Selection Cancun: Iberostar Cancun

All the staff did a great job! The service was amaizing at the restaurants, pools, reception, lobby, entrance, bars, rooms . All the staff were very friendly. All the facilities are in good conditions, but the theater is too hot. There is no air conditioner or fans. This place is not healthy for people to be there 1 - 2 hours.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Fantastic Resort

With over 6 restaurants and plenty of bars the resort offers many opportunities for creative cuisines and gathering spots. The beach is fantastic and there are many activities to occupy your day or simply lay by the wonderful pool areas and beach to relax!

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Crown paradise

This was by far the best resort it was very clean staff was very nice I wasn't to happy with food but I'll give it 4.5 star was lots to do on resort music was great I loved the pool on 1st floor outside

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Amazing Resort

I can't say enough about this hotel. Check in was quick and all of the staff are very attentive. The rooms are amazing! Ultra luxurious. Very clean and turn down service is a nice treat. All of the restaurants have great food. There is something for everyone. The highlight has to be the beach. Beautifully maintained and we never had to search for a chair. The drinks service at the beach was great - we never had to leave to get a drink.

Beloved Playa Mujeres by Excellence: Top notch resort

The Beloved Resort was beyond our expectations, top notch resort, service and dining. The staff went out of their way to make you feel at home and the qulity of the service was amazing. From high end dining to 24 hour room service and beach service with drinks and food. Would recommend to anyone.

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Nice resort

We went over spring break, considering this resort was quite pricey, we were hoping that there wasn't going to be too many kids - we were wrong. Although most of them behaved themselves the quantity of them was enormous. The hotel had some great little concerts over the week. This was a nice bonus. The restaurants were really good and service was quick and friendly. We rented a cabana on the beach for 4 out of the 7 days which was definitely worth it using our resort credits.

The Beloved was more than we expected, amazing resort, top quality staff and service. 24 hours room service and top notch food and drinks. All the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and pampered.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Fabulous resort!!

This is a luxury hotel, 5++! Second time staying and they made us feel so welcome!! Upgraded us without asking. We celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary and they all knew about it! Special accommodations were made for us! The lovely Yvette from Trip Central was fantastic in making our reservations and putting extra thought into our stay. I would definitely stay here again and most definitely book through Trip Central!

The Bel Air: Go somewhere else

Breakfast was ok because it was a buffet, but same stuff every single day! The food is terrible and there are only a la carte restaurants. You get to order from a menu that has the weirdest dishes on it, it is my genuine belief that they don't want you to eat in the resort because it is all inclusive, so they have come up with terrible options. I honestly can't say I ate one decent thing in this whole place! Thankfully there is a convenience store across the street where I bought milk and cereal [... read more]. Otherwise I would have starved to death. There was no hot water, water in the pool is warmer than in the room. The service is terrible. At the pool the bartenders ignored you because they don't want to have to walk over and bring you a drink. Only one waitress - Marisella actually does her job. All the other service staff pretends they don't understand what you are saying if it might inconvenience them-it's actually kind of funny. In conclusion, I wish I paid a couple hundred more and went somewhere where I could actually eat normal meals.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Its like Heaven!!

We went to Secrets the Vine the first week of July. I would say this resort amazed me in so many ways from the moment we checked in - we arrived at 10am and we are already set that we will be waiting till 3pm to get our room since that is the checked in time. The front desk did an amazing job in assisting us. We requested a preferred club upgrade but instead he offerred us a better deal better upgraded room for the same price that we are willing to pay and we got our room right away. Housekeepers thoroughly clean our room twice a day. Food is amazing not your typical All inclusive food. 3 pools are beautiful. So many chairs and umbrella. Staff are amazing - they are always smiling and willing to help. They will never say no to your request or atleast try their best to help you. I would recommend this resort to all my friends and family and we will certainly come back.

Temptation Resort & Spa: Fun resort for adult fun

The hotel overall is nice but could use a good cleaning. Staff were all excellent and the food at the restaurants was awesome. The beach was okay but constant vegetation flowing in from the ocean posed a daily problem.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa: One of the BEST resorts

I have been traveling to Mexico for the past 8 years, both on the Mayan Riviera as well as Cancun. I have to say that the Golden Parnassus is one of the best resorts i have been in. As soon as you hop off the shuttle you are greeted by Alberto who brings you sparkling wine and has you sit in over sized chairs as the staff checks you in. Room service for coffee in the morning took less than 10 minutes. The restaurants were great. No reservations required and unlimited quantities so you could eat gourmet or steakhouse every night!
