Memories Caribe Beach Resort: A great experience
Had a great time. Staff was wonderful, location was beautiful. I enjoyed the food. Beach is lovely, pool was clean. The only issue I had was tissue. For a couple of days there was not toilet paper in some of the washrooms. So bring a roll. We did not have a renovated room but everything worked well and was located so closed to everything. Also a very short bus ride to the airport A good bang for your buck.
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Vacation
First the great - beach was awesome, staff friendly and always willing to accomodate. Shout out to Joel at the martini bar, Yurita our maid, the evening grill guy who made me stir frys and the pizza guy in the snack bar who was constantly busy. The resort was very clean as was our room, drinks were very good and the rum and beer flowed freely. We did find the resort crowded, they were at capacity and sadly this showed. Trying to get a lounge chair at the pool was near impossible after 8am [... read more]
Memories Jibacoa: Very nice resort ...amazing
The grounds and hotel were very clean. Staff was very friendlyand went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant. The international restaurants were very good. ..............................
Sol Turquesa Beach: Fun time!
Built on a hill, lots of stairs but didn't mind them (good exercise!). The staff are pleasant and fun, they are always smiling and ready to help you. Would highly suggest to check this resort out! We had a great time.
Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Expectations Exceeded!
This was our first trip to Cuba and we were skeptical after hearing all sorts of horror stories. However, we were blown away! The beach was phenomenal. The water was clear, warm, and we could walk for hours between sand bars at low tide. We even did some snorkeling! Check in and check out was fast, simple, and hassle-free. We had a late flight and were able to use the courtesy suite to clean up prior to flying. The room was in good order, whereas a previous resort experience was filthy. Nice c [... read more]
Grand Memories Varadero: Disappointed resort
The resort was run down a little. The cafeteria cleaningness was disappointed. Beach was fantastic other than having to fight for a long chair. Bars were great and service overall was good. Didn t qualify as a 4.5 stars.
Resonance Blu Varadero: Best overall resort
The resort was perfect. Drinks were great, rooms were good, and the food was good. They know what they're doing, I didn't get a hangover once. Rooms had air conditiong, a mini fridge, and two spacious beds. Room service was done every morning and we were not afraid at all with leaving our belongings. The lady that tidied our room up was very nice and we had complete trust in her. The food was great in Cuban standards. I had the fish almost daily, freshly cooked right in front of my eyes. We als [... read more]
Memories Paraiso: worse hotel ever.
I have never make comments about others hotels we have stayed before, but this hotel is the worse hotel, Just the workers are very nices and the beaches. Washroom flooded, plug with excrement, no water, able to get Clean beach towells after 2 days. The food was the same for lunch and dinner every single day. some over cook, others almost raw, flies where complement to our food. It look to me that managament dont get involve or dont care about the problemsat their hotel. It seem to be very com [... read more]
Grand Memories Varadero: nice place
the grounds are well kempt. The pools(2)are beautiful though only 4 ft deep at the deepest. finding loungers was no problem , finding a shady spot a bit difficult at times. My room was nicely located about a minutes walk from the pool , over looking adjacent hotel buildind across, the pool to my far left and tennis courts to my right. I am pleased with my room, although I really don't have much experience with hotel rooms. Climate control, I think , was exceptional: the room adjusted temp very q [... read more]
Grand Memories Varadero: Save your money go elsewhere
Beach was good, however the rest needs improvement. Been to Cuba three times and Varadero before, however building we stayed at had no hot water whole week. Had to corner the cleaner on fifth day to get clean towels ( only hand towels available). Washrooms almost never have toilet paper, seats, and only one of five sinks works, and no paper to wipe hands (hand dryer never works) Much open wiring everywhere you look, as things break, they don't get fixed. Bar service good, reception service at n [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: The girls hit Memories Flamenco
I spent a week at Flamenco with my two daughters (13 & 15 years old). We had a great week, room was clean and very well taken care of over the week, staff was generally very friendly and I found it easy to have answers to any questions, the food was perfectly ok and a lot of variety, despite hearing that the buffet was not great. We a;; burnt out on it after 6 days but all in all, it was better than I thought. The pools were a delight, swim up bar, my first experience with that, was fun and [... read more]
Sol Turquesa Beach: Fabulous Vacation
We recently returned from a week away at memories Beach resort Holguin. It was a beautiful resort with tonnes of helpful and friendly staff! The beach was beautiful, and the pools were plentiful! Food was OK -- but typically Cuba food.
Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great stay
Enjoyed my recent stay at Grand Memories at Cayo Santa Maria. Incredible beach. It is literally breathtaking. Our maid was fantastic and provided top notch service. The restaurant, front desk, bar staff and groundspeople were all very helpful and courteous. The buffet was a little repetitive but very delicious. The evening shows were delightful. There was a nice selection of a la cartè restaurants to choose from as well as a good variety of excursions to enjoy. We had a bright, clean room with [... read more]
Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beautiful Beach
The resort was so-so. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms outside of our hotel room were rather dirty. Not all toilets worked. Very friendly staff. We had a pair of shorts and a backpack stolen off our balcony. We were on the bottom floor but it still would have been a workout to get the stuff. Make sure you take your stuff in at night. Hugh buffet. Same thing mostly everyday but lots to choose from. The beach was the nicest I have ever seen.
Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Just the right resort for a restful holiday
My husband and I felt we needed one more trip to Cuba before the country becomes as popular with Americans as Canadians. This resort did not disappoint. It has the best beach we've been to in Cuba and really does feel like a sanctuary - peaceful, uncrowded, with rooms very close to the beach and the pool. There are several 'minor' issues that need to be addressed, for example, very poor wifi service, public washrooms in poor condition, and unclear/questionable role played by butlers. But ove [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: worth what we paid
The food was typical Cuba food. Not much changed day to day on the buffet. Did not do ala Cartes. Beach is fantastic always chairs and helpful attendants. No rocks, you dont need water shoes, bring your snorkels for the calmer days. Pool chairs are harder to find if you wait to save one. The lack of toilet paper in all public washrooms was concerning. I brought kleenex with me everywhere and needed it 9 out of 10 times. Everyone was disgusted with how little care was taken in all the washrooms.( [... read more]
Grand Memories Varadero: Beautiful!
This was my second time staying in Cuba and when I first walked into the resort I was in awe. The grounds, buildings, and pools are all beautiful. The staff were friendly and the food was great - we ate lobster almost every night at the buffet. The beaches were beautiful and well maintained. Overall a really nice resort and I would definitely stay here again. However, in terms of night entertainment, there isn't much going on past 10pm. Majority of the entertainment besides the shows was just si [... read more]
Grand Memories Varadero: Great time!
Grand Memories is a very nice resort and the staff were awesome! The food was amazing with a lot of variety. We ate lobster 4 out of the 7 nights we were there. We did do 2 a la cartes while we were there and our family actually preferred the buffet. We had two rooms in the standard area that were a bit rundown but we did have running hot water and air conditioning. If you do stay in the standard area it is very quiet and a long walk to the beach! The maids did an okay job cleaning the rooms but [... read more]
Resonance Blu Varadero: Better than expected
This resort is pretty large so be prepared to walk quite a bit. The beach is beautiful and there are lots of chairs and palapas available. The staff are pretty good except a few seem unhappy and surely. The food is OK for Cuba. Not gourmet but you won't starve. Generally I would recommend this resort for a budget friendly vacation.
Grand Memories Varadero: Amazing Resort
The resort had a lot of land, so there was a lot of walking. Beach was amazing. Pools were very nice, and food was very good for Cuba. The beds in the rooms are very comfy. Was really relaxing overall
