Melia Internacional: Amazing resort

The hotel and beaches were perfect! The drinks were great! The food was average. I would highly recommend this resort. Our tour to Havana was amazing as was the Catalan tour Casa Blanco island.lots of evening shows.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Fantastic Resort!

The Tryp is a great resort! The staff are absolutely amazing which is a big part of what makes this place so great! The beach is absolutely beautiful! Overall the place is pretty clean. Wasn’t too busy either. Good entertainment at night as well.

Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Lovely Resort

Hotel overall impression- very well kept, clean, lots of seating at bars and dining room. Staff - amazing staff, really responsive, so friendly and extremely warm and welcoming The food was very good given the Countries limitations. We certainly weren’t hungry. If you want American/Canadian food, stay home. I’ve read some reviews about dirty pools with mold, not true. They were pristine.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Good bang for your buck

This resort was worth the money we paid for the vacation. The food was above Cuba standards. The rooms were clean. grounds kept neat and tidy. Liquor (rum and beer),pop and water were available all day every day. Nightly entertainment was good (2 shows in particular) The 24hr snack bar did run out of snacks throughout the day. There was no washroom near the beach. Bar service in the lobby was not as efficient as accustomed to but pool bar was great. Iberostar Coral Holguin: Coral level

The hotel was nice, but paying extra to get the best experience was not worth it. Did not get the room I paid for.The butler was no where to be found. Eat same food everyday and they would not book another restaurant for me to have different meals which was part of the packaged. I had to make a complaint to finally get a restaurant book for me and they also offered same food the coral level restaurant offered. I also feel like staff should treat everyone with same treatment. Tryp Cayo Coco: Disappointed compared to past years

I have been coming to this resort for the past 7-8 years. Its a beautiful resort and the staff is what makes me keep returning. This year however, my husband came with me and had a very expensive Underarmor shirt stolen from the lobby bar. I also had by beach towels and clips stolen off my chaise lounges by the pool, which in turn I had to pay for them at $20 a piece. Melia Las Americas: Very good quality resort

I recommend that the staff in dining room divide the space better for easier flow of being attended too. Most of the staff so kind and pleasant with a ready smile. Good quality food? Recommend this resort for sure

Sanctuary White Sands: Amazing beach and staff

We stayed at the newly opened Sanctuary White Sands Resort in Cayo Cruz, Cuba (March 2024). This resort is brand new, clean, modern and not too large. The white sand beach with turquoise water was one of the most beautiful we have been too. The pools are large, easily accessible and have lots of seating. They have been adding more shade to the beach and pool areas. The resort is very well laid out. It is only a short walk from lobby, to pool, to beach or any building. Supplies are limited because sure to bring your condiments and any extras you like. The staff were all very helpful, polite and always smiling. A shout out to a few special staff members that went above and beyond. The electric personality of the pool attendant Luis was amazing. His soul purpose is to make you smile and assist you any way he can. Yailenis (Yai) and Yordays at the pool bar were amazing at making us many delicious drinks. They are very knowledgeable. Dainelis at the buffet was always prompt to get us whatever we needed. These employees make us want to go back to this resort as they made our vacation very memorable. We hope to return soon.

Sol Cayo Coco: Amazing resort

Had a 2 week stay at Sol and have to give nothing but praise. Rooms were spacious, comfy beds and very clean. Had bottle of water everyday in room and lots of towels, always stocked. Food was phenomenal, I never experienced any shortage of anything in the 2 weeks. Fresh eggs and bacon everyday, lots of fresh fruit and for dinner you always had choice of pork, beef, chicken or fish. Some nights even veal - pasta station was great as well! Entertainment team was exceptional and always had lots going on if you were wanting activities, otherwise shows were fantastic with authentic Cuban bands. Music was not too loud and they cater to all ages. Special mention to all staff at Sol who are genuine, friendly and will go out of their way to make your vacation enjoyable and memorable! Will definitely return and I recommend to those looking for a solid, great place with a fantastic vibe and is budget friendly. Have been to Cuba over 30 times and this by far is the fav! Have stayed at newer resorts, but they don’t compare to the warmth, care and kindness experienced here.

Playa Costa Verde: Did not disappoint again, Amazing Vacation

This is our third time to Playa Costa Verde. First time since 2019. I had read many reviews and knew there would be food supply issues, not at this resort though. The food options were very similar to pre covid. I brought ketchup and butter and it was needed, had eggs everyday. The biggest issue was no Vodka, as that is our go to drink, we made due with white rum though. All other drinks were available including mohitos.The staff as usual second to none. Only lost power for about 10 minutes the whole week. Can't wait to return. Maybe two weeks next time.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

We just came back from this resort on Tuesday. The beaches are amazing, hotel was beautiful, staff was pleasant. As always food was what I would have expected from Cuba. Although the shortages are getting more plentiful. I feel bad that I was contributing to eat the food that the the Cubans lack. Until this issue is resolved I will not be going back to Cuba. This has nothing at all to do with the resort nor the beautiful people and scenery.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Staff were very friendly, food and service was excellent! Hotel and cleanliness are just thumbs up!! Will definitely go back! Bad and room? Pools are warm and clean ? Drinks! Best pinacolada? Best coffee! ?? beach ???

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort

I travelled with my husband, sister in law and another friend. The Gran Muthu is a beautiful resort, The rooms are new, modern and very clean. Shampoo and body wash are provided along with robes. There is no coffee machine in the rooms however, they make excellent coffee at the Lobby Bar. Staff were wonderful and always had a smile for us. Service in the buffet was great. We had eggs 4 out of the 7 days. There was quite a selection of food although it was basically the same offering (beef [... read more], stewed lamb, chicken and pork) every day at lunch and dinner. Very few spices were used. For the most part just salt and pepper. The beach was outstanding. There was no seaweed and beautiful white sand. The only complaint that I have is that in order to get a shelter on the beach you had to place a towel on your chairs before 7am. It would be nice if the staff on the beach upheld the rule of not reserving chairs. Bar service is very good at the beach. It is a larger resort so there is some walking to and from the beach. Roberto who is part of the animation team took two of us on a tour of the local area. We went to a farm and a primary school. Roberto is an excellent guide. He shares the Cuban history, life and language with enthusiasm. We tripped in Canadian $'s. Although we tipped using loonies and toonies the Cuba people then have to ask you if you will exchange the coins for bills....the bills need to be pristine or the bank will not take them. Our departing flight was in the evening. We were able to book a shower room not far from guest services. I would recommend this resort.

Playa Pesquero: Nice resort

Good clean resort , service great , coffee great , bar service good , . Food shortage increased 6 years ago , no condiments , days no bread , eggs , no butter , yogurt , milk , . Always chicken and pork , vegetables ok , just make the best of what you have for 1 week ?

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Nice resort in 1999!

Hotel is well is well laid out and easy to get around. Many of the staircases have no railing a danger for seniors Room was fine with comfortable bed. Which was nice considering we had our bed made up 1 time in 7 days after much discussion with butler. Toilet paper and towels were in short supply and needed to be chased. Shower was a safety hazard. Melia Jardines del Rey: Need better management and renovation.

I would not recommend the hotel to anyone. First room assigned had dirty bed sheets and no towels sheets. Water at the sink was leaking. In the building on the first floor was a lot of water indicating some plumbing issues. We were assigned to the different room in other building. It was no much difference. The white towels sheets were missing and we get beach sheets instead.No cold water in the shower and water at the sink was leaking to the floor because was missing part in the facet.The entra [... read more]nce door couldn’t lock. We had no eggs at all for whole term. Bottle water were not supplied to the room for the last 3 days. It was not enough food. People lined up early for breakfast, lunch and dinner time. No intranet in the room only in lobby.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Honest Review

Here’s the good, the bad, and the ugly… The good: beach is stunning and some of the best snorkeling right off the beach I’ve seen! So many fish and was amazing! Beach is clean, beach bar was the highlight for beverages and service! Chairs are all plastic (not the ones with any blue fabric on them) so bring an inflatable to lay on for better comfort. But the soups were good, if you eat soup when it’s 40 out lol. Occasionally we would randomly have no water in the room to shower, flush toilet, or anything and never had warning. We stayed in the main building but some club members were days with no water and told to use the gym to shower. The wifi was free and better than I expected but still spotty in lobby and general areas. I had no issues with it in the room. The beds were comfortable, cleaning didn’t happen till after 4pm or later and that was a pain by then it’s rest and shower for dinner but the cleaners would show up. We ended up only getting a cleaning twice because of their timing but they gave us fresh towels and such when we asked. Beach towels they say you can exchange them, they only had towels one day of 7 to exchange. I have seen so many people return many many times to this resort and I’m not sure why to be honest. It was nice, staff were ok but not typical Cuban friendly in my experience. Seems like many were newer and I have experienced better service in other Cuban resorts. The pool bar was open twice only during our stay, and they ran out of many alcoholic drinks and it was only rum, beer, and some wine but not always. Glad we went, we have some locals we have got to know over the years but we won’t return to this resort. The main pool layout was nice, beach entrance and I enjoyed that. The man working the pool area worked so hard to keep it clean!

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: lovely resort

Overall we were pleased. Newer hotel , quite clean and neat. 3 beautiful pools and access to a beautiful beach with incredible turquoise water , friendly staff. Lots of places to walk. It would be good if there was a shorter route to the beach, maybe from the two closest buildings, kind of like the path to the serenity pool from the closest rooms there. There are shortages in Cuba so some days there were no eggs and ot [... read more]hers no bread, but there was enough reasonably good food to eat, wine at lunch and dinner, beer and lots of rum. I would not take a picky eater kid anywhere in Cuba at this time. Toilet paper was mostly not available in the public restrooms, always carry some with you. We always felt safe. Scheduling of entertainment was confusing, and might have been changing day to day due to the current issues. I would suggest a Chalk board in the lobby area that can be changed as needed. I would like to see a bit more focus on afternoon and morning activities(water aerobics, bingo, learn to line dance...). Love that you can tip in CAD. We had a toilet malfunction in our room when we arrived which was fixed promptly. There were no beach towels, bathrobes or slippers in our suite as advertised.

It was my fourth visit to this resort within one year.It’s a nice place and staff is friendly,good service.Special thanks to Mr.Andreas the food manager for arranging a birthday party for our two friends.

Hotel Blau Las Morlas Varadero Beach: Average resort

Most of the staff are lovely but don’t expect good food. The buffet was mediocre at best, and the la carte restaurant wasn’t much better. It was great having the lobby bar open 24 hrs/day though. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beautiful beach and an easy walk into town. We enjoyed our vacation because we made the best of it, but definitely would not stay here again.
