Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: I’ll be back.

Been to dozens of resorts, this is the third time @Viva Tangerine Love the beach. Food was good, not pre covid good, but no resort has stepped it up fully yet. Only ate at the main dining room. All Service, esp dining and housekeeping was great, employees seem to truly care and enjoy their job, and people. (great bosses no doubt) Entertainment: I’ve see worse, but very few. If you think being in-your-face flamboyant, compensates for lazy and rude, then you will be blind to the problem. All things considered, great value.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Satisfying Resort

My wife and I with friends spent a week at Sunscape, we found it to be a very satisfying resort overall. The beach is great and the rooms very comfortable, we had a recently upgraded room. Hint, If you can try and get a room in Block 4 very central. The resort appeared to be half full and the staff were very accommodating. The restaurants were good nothing spectacular the bonus being you did not need a reservation. The only negative was a sudden management rule that prevented regular guests fro [... read more]m using the Seaside Grill and making it exclusive to Sun Club members. This was uncalled for and one could say a breach of contract as it is listed as one of the restaurants that o e would have access too. We would go back despite this one negative.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Our 9th stay at Ambar. Ambar was beautifully renovated during Covid.

Beautiful facility; huge. Lots of a la carte restaurant choices plus buffet restaurants. One of best beaches you will find anywhere. One drawback is that if you are a beach person there is a shortage of covered shade. You need to secure one with your towels before dawn!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Gran Ventana

Room clean daily Pool always clean Food quite good Staff excellent 90% Quebecers Smoking Arrogant Loud & Lots of Cruise day visitors Won’t go back Prefer to have local Dominicans but none could book as it was full of French ☹️ I know they book to fill the resort to stay functional but when there are people problems it ruins it for others. Would not recommend to Ontarians

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Awesome resort

The rooms are new and modern. Food is awesome ,even picky eaters should be able to find something along with any gluten or dairy allergies. Grounds are clean Most staff were friendly . Roof top bar and pool is a must , great scenery( on family side , but only adults only or preferred can use). Only one complaint was the Gourmet restaurant food took way too long to get . Caribe Deluxe Princess: Awesome vacation

Everything was great. Our room was lovely, the food at the buffet was always delicious, the specialty restaurants we tried were very good, the pools great, the staff very accommodating, beach/ resort very clean. Love everything.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Fantastic Time!

Preface: This is mine and my partners 1st all inclusive experience. Resort was awesome, great pools, amazing beach, good food, friendly staff. Rooms were dated but met our needs and were fine. We wernt there to be stuck in our rooms anyways. It was a mature resort, I would say we were on the younger side as an early 30 year old. Everyone that was there was respectful and nice. We met many people who were repeat traveller's to this particular resort, one couple as many as 8 times.  [... read more]It wasn't overly crowded, getting drinks and service at the bars was a breeze, lots of space in the various pools to carve out your own little oasis. The beach feature a nice assortment of lounges and beds and from the journey I made down the beach, easily stood out as having one of the better configurations and beach fronts. Finding a lounge space in the shade was also a breeze. If you're into excursions, a resort staff member, Luiz is the guy to talk to. Best deals going compared to what is offered online and through airlines. Many excursions are weather dependant, so book them ASAP. We did two, the snorkel/Catamaran adventure was top tier, highly recommended. Second was the Supper Buggies, definitely do not recommend after heavy rains, which is what we did. The main paths were washed out and we essentially drove through dirty ditch water alongside the highway. All in all, an awesome experience, and would definitely consider going back.

Playabachata Hotel: Amazing resort and affordable

In the nutshell. Beach- clean, beautiful and palm trees on the beach should be a feature to promote. Rooms a bit outdated, but who cares as you only sleep there. Everything was functional in the room, shower, hot/cold water, sinks, lights, safe etc. Pools, chairs drinks all available all the time. Buffet, a good variety of food to choose from. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice resort if you like walking

We stayed on the El Beso side of Ocean El Faro in April . The Management staff were phenomenal at accommodating our requests and we were able to get an end unit swim up suite in building 17 and they even had champaign waiting for us to help us celebrate our anniversary. This is a nice resort but we did run into a few issues, however, they were not significant enough to ruin the vacation. Pros: - Having a swim up suite was a huge bonus! We loved enjoying the pool from the comfort of our own r [... read more]oom -The al la cartes were great, especially Sakura -Lots of entertainment, but most of the evening entertainment was at the front lobby -Room service was good and it was available until 11 for everyone ( I believe it is 24 hours if you upgrade to privledged) -Staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff were great at getting everyone to participate in activities! -Large rooms with huge beds -The Pez Dama restaurant was great! Because it was only available to El Beso guests, it was never busy. -Lots of pools plus a lazy river that was a lot of fun! Bonus points for having a pool bar attached to the lazy river!! -I felt very safe at this resort -Mikes coffee shop was great, especially their specialty drinks and smoothies. They also have a great selection of pastries -Never had an issue finding water. There were Water coolers at the bars and Mikes and the fridge was always stocked. The staff will bring extra water if you request it. Cons - Not sure is this is unique to this resort but the price of items at the resort store were outrageous! 2 bags of chips were $18 USD and Sunscreen was around $40 USD! -LOTS of walking!! This was a con for us but may be great for others. I think it bugged me more because I hurt my foot just before our trip so the hike to the front was difficult, especially in the heat -Lack of shuttles... most large resorts have shuttles that will circle around so you never wait long but we rarely saw them. You could call and request one but you would have to wait outside and depending on how busy they are, it might take awhile. -The pools were great but they were very cloudy when we arrived. The staff did treat the pools including the swim ups the day after we arrived but that caused algae to sink to the bottom of our swim up and it took another day and a half to get it vacuumed. -This is the dampest room we have stayed in. I think the higher rooms are ok but if you are on a main floor, there is a lot of moisture which actually made the bedding damp. This was by far not a deal breaker but it was a little uncomfortable but we got used to it by the third day and never really noticed it after that. -The resort beach is rocky (giant slabs of rock) and very rough. We hardly ever saw anyone swimming while we were there. There is a lagoon which was actually closer to our building (17) then the resort beach and it was STUNNING! Lots of folks just went over there to swim, it was calm and clear. Overall: I did like this resort and I think it is great for anyone without mobility issues. We would probably not return because we found it difficult for us to participate in a lot of the activities due to my foot injury and the distance between our room and the main lobby. It is a very beautiful resort and the staff are great, especially Ermin (bellboy)- he really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. The food overall is decent (but somewhat limited selections at times) and we were always able to fill our plates. The desserts are Amazing! This resort also had the perfect mix of quiet areas and loud, entertaining areas. Although we won't be returning, I would recommend it to others depending on what they are looking for.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Nice resort

The place was clean, the staff could be a bit nicer. Food was good but restaurants needed to be booked early, so difficult to get into them. The food at restaurants were much better than buffet. The grounds and beach was amazing.

Riu Republica: Riu republica - Punta cana

This adults only resort is quite lovely but very big. The staff and service was excellent. Lots of pool options and magnificent beach. The rooms are dated but very clean. Bed very comfortable. The evening entertainment was lots of fun but there is excessive partying happening all day so a bit noisy and music was too loud to enjoy at times. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Pretty but tired.

The grounds were kept beautifully. The pool however seemed to not be functioning quite right and was pretty dirty some days. There is a kids pool and two large pools. With a couple of baseball teams present, I am not sure why the kids are allowed in the pool with the bar. They took over all the pools and were lacking any respect for the other guests in the pool. The room was clean but tired. The shower head kept sliding down the pole so you had to bend down to rinse off and the musty shower cur [... read more]tain kept clinging to you. Yuck! Every time I tried to dry my hair, the breaker blew and all the power went out. It must have been a regular thing because the panel was right by the door and we could just flip it ourselves. The food was not great at the buffet but the Japanese was good. All that being said, it was a beautiful resort and we had a good vacation.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Amazing Resort

We just got back from a week at Heavens. I NEVER write reviews but I have to say this was a great vacation. The resort is small, very clean, the room was excellent, the food was good but it was the staff that exceeded all expectations. Jay and Mikeson beside the towel exchange were great. A huge shout out to the animation team especially Aladdin. Also, Hector the Protector on the beach offers great excursions at great prices. We will definitely be back!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort! We'll be back!

Everything was very good about this resort. The a la cartes were so good. Grounds were nicely kept, personmel were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing would be the housekeeping wasn't up to par. Mainly the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. But other than that, everything was great.

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Reasonable for price paid.

Resort could use some building updates but overall was clean. Staff was friendly but vendors on site were very pushy. Beach was cleaned every morning after wash up. Food was okay but very repetitive. There seemed to be lots of activities scheduled for kids but not as much for adults and entertainment was not overly entertaining.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Nice Resort

This was our third visit and we were very disappointed where our room was. We faced a construction site with noise starting at 6:30 am. Also the hotel didn’t recognize us as return guests. I guess return guests get a welcome fruit basket in their room upon arrival, a special dinner and a banner on their door which we didn’t receive any of that! Caribe Deluxe Princess: Amazing resort!

The room was quite large and updated. Mini fridge restock with water, beer and soda everyday. Ground are super clean and looked after. Beach huge and cleaned every day, aerobic , daily activities on the beach every single day. A la carte quite nice, tried only three as buffet was great. Would come back for sure.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Everything for everyone

The Barcelo is a huge resort, our section the Bavaro beach adults only was perfect for people looking for a relaxing vacation. Small and convenient, everything was a short walk, pool, beach, buffet and bar.The rooms were in three storey bungalows that were clean comfortable a little dated but no issues. The food was tasty and lots of variety in the buffet. If you wanted to eat in the a la carte restaurants, you need to be flexible when you eat as reservations times can be various with availabili [... read more]ty. The pool, beach and ocean were great, chairs were usually available unless you arrived later. Staff were friendly and accommodating, I would have no problems returning there for another vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Truly Amazing complex

We really enjoyed our stay. It was a very big complex, the staff were very friendly and open. Pool was kept clean, and the grounds beautiful. Plenty of food at the buffets and at the al carts. Entertainment at night was amazing, shows, music. The beach where we stayed was not what we expected. The door keys need an upgrade along with the TV. A little more explanation as to use the wiffi log in, but managed All in all I'd go there again, maybe try the Amber
