Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Relaxing time , Great resort

My husband and I stayed at this resort for one week August 17-24. Very hot and extremely humid but the ac in our room worked well so did the fan so no complaints in that regard. Our room was very clean and well maintained throughout our stay. Having stayed in Cuba and Punta Cana several times I would say this was the cleanest, however I found the service underwhelming. Drinks ,well drinks are always hit or miss at any inclusive I have been to. That’s why you have to really enjoy when you get one that is great because you may never ever have it again lol . Sometimes the drinks were watered down sometimes much too strong but eventually I always went back to the mojitoes. So refreshing so minty unlike Cuba I didn’t notice any bar that I went to out of anything that I wanted. The seaweed was a non issue for us it was cleaned daily and we were able to swim whenever we wanted. So many fish when swimming in the ocean . Sometimes schools of them would be around. Harmless and so beautiful. If you took bread in with you they would surround you. The nightly shows, yikes and yikes again. We went to the shows but if the entertainment team wasn’t trying so hard we would have left like many others did. But hey they had table service and popcorn so I had to drink somewhere lol why not there. The magic show was good Mexican folklore was good as well. all others well let’s just say the mojitoes really helped me enjoy the show lol . Hardly any mosquitoes but bring Bug spray as they did get worse asthe week wore on. No ac in the buffets or lobby but I am not going to a tropical place and complain about the heat. Lol I knew about the lack of ac before I booked but if staying cool is important to you all the time this is not the resort for you. The pool is huge, loved it. There is a place for everyone. We went to the disco that was air conditioned and it was fun it gives you something to do after 11pm 30 minutes from the airport but we only had one other couple in our shuttle.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Not as good as 2017

We just came back Sept 1st stayed for 1 week. We were returned customers went last year around same time. This time we are disappointed with the stay. Hotel overall : we booked for Ocean view room we were given level 2 ocean view..half ocean and half building view. We were given bungalow 2 level 2. Last year we stayed at bungalow 14 level ocean view overlooking the ocean..it was perfect and beautiful . Cleanliness of the room was good..it was well kept clean. We travelled with our son and we wer [... read more]e given only 2 pillows instead of 3. Buffet food: very disappointed ..no lobster or shrimp this year compared to last year. Selections of food has decreased. Too many flies flying around due to they had the door open . Not too happy with the flies..and saw tiny crocroaches crawling around bread section. Ala cart - Mediterranean very very bad .. ordered shrimp pasta..shrimp was okay but pasta we're too soggy and tasteless. Don't bother going to Mediterranean ala cart. Ocean swim was great..saw alot of fishes, star fishes, sea urchin and sea cucumbers. Enjoy swimming with the fishes. Bring goggles a d snorkel set to enjoy . Also bring water shoe.. this will prevent stepping on tiny rocks and you will be able to walk to Pillar beach. Overall we don't think we will go back to this resort.. their standard has gone down compared to 2017.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Nice beach and staff, but room ?

Grounds were gorious, beach clean and clear, lobby very nice, staff great, food ok ,but rooms smell musty ,tryed three diffrent ones all the same expect the ones facing the streets which I did not pay to view, so we stuck it with bitterness.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Nice Resort & Clean

I new the grounds would be well kept and up to Iberostar standards. The location was beautiful and the water was like stepping into a lagoon. It is not your typical beach front property so I missed being able to walk along the beach shore. I was disappointed in the availability of standard items (towels in the room, no tissues, asking numerous times for an extra pillow, or just getting the room cleaned on a daily basis). I believe having more staff in the buffet dining area serving at the gr [... read more]ills would cut down on extremely long wait times of 20 minutes or more to get an omellete or grilled chicken/steak/pork etc. at meal time. The resort could do with another bar area and more servers at the bar. The small bar space in the lobby was always very congested with few people behind the bar serving. Also, most of the staff were very young and inexperienced with hospitality. They spoke very little English which was frustrating especially when a good portion of their clientele are English speaking visitors. While I am not a picky person and enjoyed our stay, I felt frustrated with the mentioned deficiencies. I have been to other Iberostars in Cuba and Jamaica in the past so I expected better from this holiday experience. I would not go back to that Iberostar location but would try another Iberostar.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Good time

The cleanliness, food and service was outstanding. People were very friendly. The elevators and rooms need upgrading. I didn't get Wi-Fi in my room the whole day on the second last day. Pool is beautiful but too deep. Me and my family can't swim and my mother had a scary drowning incident in the poll and THANK God I was there. The life guards were sitting but no one seemed to notice. I wouldn't go back to this resort as we would need a pool with a shallow area.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: A great time

The hotel was great. The food, service, cleanliness and variety of restaurants were amazing. Elevators and rooms need upgrading but we're clean. It is a beautiful resort. The pool water was one level and too deep for myself and my daughter. We don't know how to swim and we would have loved a shallow end. I had a near drowning experience in the pool in which no life guards were attentive too and thank God my daughter was there. Iberostar Selection Cancun: Beautiful Resort

We spent a week in late August in this resort. It's a very good size, not so huge that you need to walk 5-10 min to get from your room to the pools and not so small and cramped. Everything is very accessible. Staff are extremely friendly and professional. Food at the buffet restaurant is very good but can be a little more flavorful. They are constantly cleaning and maintaining the resort. Beach is very close and no shortage of chairs. There are some pool activities everyday. Public transportatio [... read more]n(bus) stops in front of the resort and takes you to the shopping center in 10-15 min. fare is $1.00 US. If you have Mexican Pesos is less. Buses are very frequent and safe. I recommend you to go to the mall in evening because it's an outdoor center and gets really hot in day time. They are open till 10:00 PM.All and all, I highly recommend this resort.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Resort!

My sister and I came to this resort for a mini getaway and absolutely loved it! The staff was friendly, engaging, entertaining and fun! Our room was in great condition, was spacious, and had a view of both the pool and the ocean. On top of that, we can't stop talking about the food! No matter what time of day or meal, the food was flavourful, eclectic, and bountiful. The infinity pool gave an extra touch to an already amazing experience. Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Fun Resort

The Bella Vista is a large hotel, but it is well planned. Our room was spacious and clean and the bathroom was large with a roomy shower. We had splurged on a "swim-out" room, which was well worth the extra expense. The lobby and grounds are breezy and lovely and well-kept. The beach is very close and beautiful. Although we weren't travelling with children, their area looked fun, too. We had access to the top floor for dining, and the view was breathtaking.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: My Oasis ❤️ 20+ Repeat Guest

This is a smaller resort; which I love. Daily activities around the pool and beach throughout the day. Great athmoshphere and entertainment at the lobby during evenings. A show every night to watch. Beach parties, Nightime dancing after the shows, Disco visit twice a week; excellent!!! Despite the recovery ongoing for this area since the hurricane last year, plantation is being restored; most facilities are open with the exception of the grill restaurant...a work in progress. Food i [... read more]s fine for me, I am a picky eater but I always have options. Rooms are fine; keep in mind this is not a new resort. The beach is beautiful, the staff is amazing. I found this place and have named it my second home. I would definitely recommend. P.S Please remember to bring sunscreen, bug repellent, basic medical travel kit for emergencies; these are not commonly found in Cuba. Beyond expectations and more The resort grounds were in immaculate condition. The rooms were clean and furnished with modern furnishings. All staff at the resort were extremely friendly and helpful. Food and alcoholic beverages lived up to high expectations

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Very good deal !

The beach is gorgeous; the pool is clean and is the best I’ve ever seen. The water is cool enough even if the weather is hot as usually in summer. Rooms: the architecture of the buildings is very attractive. We stayed in the Adult Spa Section area, very quiet area, and there are no children in this section Also the pool is very clean and well maintained. So, I appreciated the Spa Section that offered privacy those who like the silence. If this is what you need book here and you won’t be  [... read more]disappointed. Food: Be realistic: Don’t expect the food like in Mexico because you didn’t pay the same amount of money either. Conclusion: I would come back? Yes, but usually I tend to visit a different place. Do I recommend this place ? Definitely yes !

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Nice place

Very nice organized , very clean and comfortable . Most of the people were very polite. Food wasn’t too great, but its because the overall limitations the country has. Other hotels like iberostar daikiri was better in terms of food quality and beach service

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: A family friendly resort

The overall impression of the hotel was good!The food was excellent as well as the friendly. staff members. However something that could be improved is changing the cushions in main lobby as well the decorative pillows and cover sheets in the rooms and the pool was bit small .

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Fantastic Family Resort

The Iberostar Beach Resort is a Fantastic Family Resort catering to Adults as well as children. We had great rooms on the 5th floor facing the pool area and fantastic ocean view. Food was amazing and was so sorry we could not take some home. Staff was amazing and very courteous to all the guests. This trip was a family vacation that brought 7 together for a fantastic 8 days. We may plan a future trip next year.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Great holiday!

We had a fantastic time at the Iberostar Quetzal. Grounds were beautiful, food and drinks were good, entertainment was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There are lots of mosquitoes so bring repellent. Our room was quite small, but we were okay with that, the pool is deep so bring floaties. Unfortunately we did have lots of seaweed, but we knew that beforehand so we did not let that bother us. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again in the future.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Beautiful and Different architecture

The hotel and the rooms are lean and spacious, food is typical cuban but the high light of the hotel besides of the regular pool, is the fresh water pool which can be substituted with stormy beach. In general suits to every Kind of tastes.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: AWFUL EXPERIENCE

Food was the worst experience ever, we have been to Cuba 5 times we know what to expect but this place was more like a 2.5/3 star if that. Beach was the only good thing, service was very unfriendly and rude and pools were dirty cups floating and lemon wedges usually by 2 pm daily. Buffets good luck in line ups and options, ala cartes from day 1 we cudnt get any booking booked for entire week. Rooms were clean however never any hot water. AC never worked well. 24 hr snack bar, was limited to [... read more] 2 or 3 options and if u order a sandwhich was all bread u need to search for the meat or tuna..no fries as per menu was like corn chips and you could count 4-5 chips on your plate. I think im done with CUBA.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Disappointed

We were very disappointed, hotel came highly recommended, the rooms were clean, sometimes you had hot water but most times you did not. Food.. as well know food not the greatest however out of all my 5 trips to holguin Cuba never did we experience this .. buffet stations were insane so busy food luck getting any food, they were almost secluded in seperate rooms and the line ups were so long.. portions were scarce. 24 hr snack bar was very limited 2 to 3 options and if you got a sandwich it was a [... read more]ll bread only. People were not very friendly found most to be very rude. The ala cartel restaraunt s .. we tried from day one to book and didn’t get any. We had upgraded to elite which they said ensured priority .. was not true. The pools small and also by 12 noon they would run out of beach towels so hard to get fresh towels. This is not a 5 stat or 4.5 this is more of a 3. Will not return to Varedero possibly not even Cuba again. Beach was beautiful. Extremely disappointed.. wish I could get a refund. Didn’t have high expectations however paid probably the most I have ever paid to come here and was by far one of the worst experiences. Do not book! Try playa Pesquero holguin cuba.. in comparison that was a 6 start!!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful resort

We just returned from one week at Iberostar Ensenachos. We were given a free upgrade to the Spa section. The room was very clean and spatious. The AC worked well and it was quiet. The beach was amazing, clean, no sea weed and plenty of space in the shade. Food was good, many kinds of cheese, we had often grilled fish, crepe or eggs in the morning. They had great big sweet mango. The service was excellent, at the bar or restaurants. They are waiters bringing drinks on the beach. The cig [... read more]ar bar became our favourite as it was playing Cuban music and the bartender was very friendly and curteous. I wish it was more Cuban music playing in the resort lobby. During the whole week there was no dancing in the resort and i missed it. The entertainment was very little, after the show there was nothing happening, not even music in the background in the lobby, just a couple of people playing cards.
