Riu Republica: Amazing resort
Loved it....Beautiful resort. Lots to do, you can relax or there is a lot of different activities to do. Lots of delicious food options. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The beach is fantastic. Good beach for walking. Weather was fantastic...great vacation!!!!
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Stay!!
Travelled with a large group of women..... lots for everyone to do or just do nothing! A four day get-away was perfect for us busy moms - long enough to get a break but not too long for the dads at home to "hold down the fort". Loved the beach, loved the pools, loved the free pouring drinks..... night live could be ramped up however, the shows were good. Super Fun Time overall - we will book again next year FOR SURE!
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beautiful resort!
I had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The resort was very clean and and very modern. The ocean was crystal clear and the beach was amazing. The staff were very pleasant and for the most part very helpful.
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fabulous
Our stay was for four days and everything about it was great for the time we arrived until the time we left. The staff, food, and accommodations a fabulous. The pool area was great and we had a great view of the ocean.
Riu Bambu: Family Fun
Our family had a great week at this resort. Fun for all. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful when needed. A great variety of food in the buffet. Nice to have little shops on site to visit. Beautiful beach area. Would go back again.
Riu Playacar: Great Vacation!
The RIU Playacar was a great place to stay! From the reception where we were able to get our room at noon instead of at 3pm through to the easy checkout, we had a great stay! The room was immaculate, loved the towel art every day. The food was abundant, flavourful, different choices at the buffet. The a la cartes (we tried the Americana and Mexican) has great choices. The amount of food at the a la cartes was way too much. The steak took up 3/4's of my plate! The pools and grounds were ke [... read more]

Riu Republica: Best Resort
Been to this resort twice in 2018 May and October we love this Resort because it’s super clean food is amazing rooms are very spacious and the beach is wide long and clean not too mention the many cabanas and lounge chairs at the beach to go around . This resort is well staffed and most of them speak English. They are super friendly and we really enjoyed the night entertainment shows. Must mention no mosquitoes at either time we were there. Unlike Cuba. Now planning my 3 rd trip back for sprin [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Nice resort
We found this hotel had beautifully kept grounds. The food quality was good but not outstanding. Our room was clean however the maids never changed the glasses in our rooms and we did not see anyone with a cart to change the glasses. We marked the underside of our glasses on Day 2 and those glasses were never exchanged. All of our party got a cold/flu which we believe was due to the not changing of the glass wear. As well, the pool water needed to be cleaned up as there was clearly a lot of [... read more]
Riu Santa Fe: Decent resort
Although the resort is pleasant, clean and plenty of pools to cool off, is a bit boring in the afternoon when everyone is looking for some sort of entertainment. Beside amassing pool parties happening every second day in not much else to do. People over 30,s are mostly intimidated to attend though due to the fact that those parties are design for young people with contemporary music and amassing light shows. Food is acceptable, lacking variety and a la cart restaurants are a combinations of sel [... read more]
Riu Palace Las Americas: Very good resort
We spent one week in October at this resort. When you go Riu you know that service and cleanness is always a given. This resort lives up to it's name Palace and I'd like to salute the management and the workers who makes this all possible! I was amazed by the little details that they add to everyday things. At the buffet you could find those little plates with food in them each made by hand. And the chocolate!!! The best chocolate ever at any resorts. I could go on and on praising everything. Riu Republica: Couple's Getaway
We stayed at the Riu Republica, Punta Cana, from Oct 11-21st. Resort was nice, grounds were immaculate. Our room was great, we stayed in room 2080. Food was good, never went hungry. The Italian was the best restaurant there. Buffet had plenty of selection. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but we made the best of it. Maid service lacked even with $2 USD tips daily. Also left $2 for the guy to do our coffee and drinks, that service wasn't over the top either. Overall we enjoyed our vacation, but wil [... read more]
Riu Palace Pacifico: Excellent Resort!!
This was a last minute decision to go to Puerto Vallarta due to the weather forcast the in the Mayan Riviera. It proved to be an excellent decision. This resort was awesome. Great food, service, rooms, views, pool and activites, beach, all great. Although it is the rainy season there too, we had 6 days of pure hot sun. Water is not clear and blue like the East Coast, but very warm, I mean really warm. Larger waves, but managable to get in and out of the water. We would definitely recommen [... read more]
Riu Palace Pacifico: Amazing
Overall I'd rate this place a 5. Super clean . Very friendly. Food awesome. Pools always clean. Rooms very clean. I'd go back. Not to kid friendly more for adult. Oh and they don't use straws there for the environment so if you like straws bring some we will for next time. Night time entertain was great.
Riu Montego Bay: Riu paradise away from home
Grounds were wonderfully kept by hard working staff. Super friendly.. and clean.. food was great.. lots of variety. Spent most of our time with chop chop at the Jamaican jerk shack. Rum is great. Beds are horrible... But rest of stay made up for it..
Riu Palace Antillas: Not an amazing resort
Hotel was not what we expected and what was advertised on the site. Very old and things are broken in the room. Balcony door not easy to open or not working, bathroom horrible, beds are not comfortable. Service was ok. Not being able to reserve for the A La Carte restaurants was a nightmare. One night at the Italian restaurant the wait was 2 hrs and then no waiter came to the table until 15 mins later. The restaurant was closing so we got the remnants. Horrible! Horrible! The Hotel manag [... read more]

Riu Santa Fe: Impressive Resort
Pools were exceptional, a very clean and well manicured resort. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, and worked very hard. Rooms and balconies were clean, well stocked each day and a very good size. Very fun atmosphere! I loved have internet available in my room! The only things that I would like to see improved upon are real juices replace the syrup and concentrates that are used, more premium drinks and beer, including Sambuca and Fireball to the list of spirits served.
Riu Guanacaste: Amazing resort
Hotel was beautiful! Very clean and staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend this resort. Was very happy that I didnt have to wait for a room when we first arrived. Staff was very prepared for large group arrivals. The scenery was absolutely amazing. Dont worry about going during rainy season there are still many things to do besides it's more lush and beautiful during this time. We were very happy with our stay.
Riu Vallarta: Great resort
We just returned from our second visit to Riu Vallarta. As the first time this trip was very good . The weather was great, service very good, rooms clean, food was even better than our first time there. We ate at the buffet most meals and always found the food very tasty. Grounds are kept up nicely always staff cleaning . Entertainment was a lot of fun during the day and the shows at night pretty good. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun and family friendly resort [... read more]
