Riu Vallarta: awesome resort ....nothing but good times

first time staying at the riu and i was hooked .food was excellent as well as the service.rooms were clean and check in and out was a breeze.i visited the other riu in the area and it was amazing as well.i think two thumbs up on the riu chain

I would go back in a minute....all was great. Staff, food, and accommodations where fabulous .we had a party of 4 people who all had a great time. I would recomemd this place to anyone...5 plus ratimg

Friendly Fun Vallarta: BEAUTIFUL RESORT !

MY HUSBAND TOOK ME ON THIS RESORT FOR MY 52 ND BIRTHDAY BOY AND I HAD A GREAT TIME! IT WAS 4 OF US THAT WENT TO THIS RESORT......... Melia Puerto Vallarta: Nice Resort, terrible food! We all got sick!

The grounds were nice. The food was terrible and lacked choice. My daughter was sick almost the entire trip from the food. The Dr said it was from contaminated food. I would never recommend this hotel or return!

Crown Paradise Club: Good

It was good overall. Some staff were excellent. Some, not so much. Al a cart meals were really good. Buffet food was pretty good. Had to pay for wifi which was absolutely ridiculous. Was expensive as well.

Friendly Fun Vallarta: tolerable

this was our second stay at this resort. However was hoping that from the last time we were there in 2014 that they would of changed the buffet. same food everyday. nothing really changed. was disappointed as well that they kicked us out of our room on day of departure early 12 noon. when our bus did not pick us up until 5 p.m. that same evening. so basically we had to hang around the resort or go downtown. when we could of relaxed in our hotel room in needed to be. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing Resort

The Iberostar checked all the boxes, with a clean, comfortable room, excellent food, great service and a beautiful pool and wonderful beach for walking and lying in the sun. There were no palapas on the beach, but there were attendants, who would set up umbrellas for you. There was a beach bar that served light lunches and a large array of drinks. The infinity pool was lovely and at both locations there were servers that brought drinks to you. They even came around with clean towels if you so de [... read more]sired. There was no problem getting lounge chairs and shade at either the pool or the beach. On the we were approached by locals peddling their wares, but they are not aggresive, more of a minor nuisance. Around the pool there are many organized activities if you are so inclined. In the evening, we enjoyed the lobby bar and the live entertainment. Our only complaint would be the welcoming drink. We noticed many left their glasses half full. We would highly recommend the IBM for a most pleasurable experience.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Relaxing Time

A beautiful resort 20 minutes from Puerto Vallarta. Staff was friendly and the food was okay. Would recommend to others just looking to relax by the pool as the beach was quite small. Lots of wildlife around.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Very Nice Resort

Grounds were clean, beach nice. Restaurants...buffet lots of selections, Steak house just alright, Kyoto and Krystal were nice....a little lacking of the atmosphere. didn't go to the Mexican. I thought it was nice that the brought in a Mariachi band, had opera singers. Entertainment was better the first week. Rooms were nice, moved to the sunnier side the 2nd week which was nice

Riu Palace Pacifico: A Wonderful Experience & Vacation

This holiday was wonderful, and the employees of the hotel made the vacation even better. It started with the doorman, Octavio; what a charmer, and if we could have taken him home with us, we would have. The entertainment staff were fun, kind, and gracious. The only disappointment we had was being told the incorrect start time for the show, arrived for the end. The food, and staff in the dining areas were fantastic as well, and I would not have a problem recommending this hotel to a friend.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Amazing Resort

Everything at this resort was great. Food had lots of options. The Japanese a la carte restaurant was fabulous. Room was good size and clean. They always made sure you had lots of towels and the did turn out service every night. Good activities by the pool and lots of stuff for the kids too. No need to rush and get a chair by the pool there is lots of chairs and lots of shade huts. I would return to this resort.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Always great!

The Royal Decameron is one of the cleanest resorts with the best staff I've stayed at! The food is good, the rooms are comfortable and the adult pool is great! They allow you to use floaters in the pool which is a nice bonus. It also has a very nice beach which goes for miles in both directions...great for walking.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Very Kid Friendly

I travelled with my 20 month old son by myself from Vancouver and met my sister (3 kids) and parents at this resort. It was very kid friendly with a 16" pool with slides for kids and a zoo onsite (monkeys, rabbits, parrots, turtles, etc.) my son wanted to see a couple times a day! The beach was a little tricky to swim with little ones but fine for looking for shells and putting feet in the ocean. There was surfing and boogie boarding right from the beach. The a-la-cartes were also very good but difficult with a toddler!

Royal Suites Punta Mita: Service service service

Wow, if you are looking for a quiet get away where your every need is looked after, this is the place. I know everyone one here raves about the staff but until you've seen it first hand it's hard to believe it could be so good. From the front desk to the maids to the gardeners to the pool and resturaunt staff it was amazing. A special thanks to Luis our building butler and to the girls at the pool, Marisol and Juni.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: amazing resort

I would highly recommend this gorgeous resort. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing, the grounds are always clean. The rooms are magnificent. All of the Ala carte restaurants are great and the buffet is wonderful. There are no negatives about this resort. If you hear different don't listen.

Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Best resort

We have been to this hotel 7 times and it keeps getting better.The food was great ,room was comfortable ,Staff always had a smile and very helpful Close to the boardwalk with lots to do.Best snack bar with many choices.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: FAN-FRICKEN-TASTIC

OMG it was awesome - the Staff at the RESORT was GREAT OUR rooms VERY clean and well taken care of - Food was awesome the buffet was very fresh with great selection - Stayed in the Adults only resort !! Very service orientated - had an issue with our Air Cond - within 3 hrs it was fixed - GREAT service !

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Barcelo consist once again!

We have found that staying at any Barceló resort, we have never been disappointed. This resort is located away from all other resorts(opposite side of the bay area in P.V.). Rooms(huge), food, pools great. Minimal beach area but ok. Just be mindful of the mosquitos. We encountered them which we determined on the balcony. Can't see these guys but they can bite. USE BUG SPRAY!!!!. The buffet was fine....loved the crepes @ breakfast!. The specialty restaurants (Spanish and Italian) were exceptiona [... read more]l! We did not enjoy the Steak/Seafood due to bad service and food was not the best. We went once and didn't want to take a chance on a second time so stuck with the other 2 which we soooo good!!! We were there for 11 days and didn't have any issues with chairs (although there are those that must save with towels @ 4 am!!!) until near the end of our vacation when resort was 100 % occupied. Still had chairs but had to search. The worst thing still is people save chairs then you never see anyone use them in the "prime locations" So annoying!!! The staff was great in all areas and aspects. We did the premium upgrade which was worth it. A must do is the Rhythms of the Nights excursion. Worth every penny!!!

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Beautiful resort

Beautiful view of the ocean & sunsets each evening. Everything was wheelchair accessible except the hot tubs one level higher and with stairs. Entertainment was three nights out of seven. The buffet at these events was not as nice as eating in the restaurants. The Italian restaurant seemed to be short staffed as the waiters were almost running to keep up with all the customers.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Authentic Mexican Resort

Decameron Los Cocos is nestled in a quaint little town, we loved from the moment we stepped off the bus. Colourful buildings surrounded by lush tropical trees and flowers, it had a lovely feel. The staff were friendly and so willing to please. The rooms were nice and clean, the food was great, lots of variety and the atmosphere was very Mexican...we loved our stay and will come back again!!!!
