Oh Cancun The Urban Oasis: Total Satisfaction

I really enjoyed my stay.....staff were always helpful ,food was satisfying and delicious also for me the location was perfect because there are markets close by that sell authentic food and the walmart is within walking distance.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Worth it

Nice hotel, clean, great food, nice staff unless you call the front desk late. Always a rough time to get the supposedly included in-room bottled water, beers and sodas. Only clubs available after 1030pm and they all close at 1am which was a disappointment. A true party resort nonetheless, we'd probably go back.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Decent for Spring Break

The overall trip was awesome as a there was a group of 9. We all had an awesome time but still some flaws. First off, they do nothing in order to help you. We got to our room and the AC didn't work, nor did the fridge. They pretty much told us we were lying and that there was nothing they can do. Thank God we were pinned the entire time because the food was pretty greasy. Everything is a trap. Every chance they get they will charge you dumb amounts of money. For example one day I fell against a [... read more] cheap little fountain and they wanted 1000USD. My friend broke a plate and paid 100$. Overall the people don't care about you and you will pay extra. Would not recommend any Caucasian people to travel to Mexico. Scary place.

Grand Oasis Riviera: Great resort

I really enjoyed the smaller resort. Food was good, room was perfect and beach was nice. The staff were all very friendly. Yes we had to wait in line for buffet but it was not too long. We were a large group and they did a good job accommodating all of us. I had a hot water issue but it was dealt with within few hours. Over all...fabulous vacation with my family! Grand Oasis Cancun: Mixed reviews

the grounds, beach, pools and public areas are really nice. the entertainment is great staff overall are very good the negatives the food is only okay there is not enough restaurants to service this large hotel, we waited sometimes over and hour and a half to get in for dinner this is a tiered hotel be aware, check out what comes with your tier otherwise you are charged for a safe in your room, $6.00 a day and internet $40.00 for 5 days and excluded from some of the restaurants and bars  [... read more] the rooms are very tired, basic and in real need of update there is not enough activities, the #1 activity is power drinking this hotel is advertised as party central, geared to students on reading and spring break

Grand Oasis Cancun: Fun but not great

The food was not great. The only restaurant we enjoyed was Dos Lunas. We had to wait every night as they do not take reservations before. The pool bar was always busy, and smelt like pee, and was always hard to get a drink. The resort was gorgeous, the staff were okay. No consistency between places, one day something was open the next day it was not. I did enjoy my trip, but found I did not get my moneys worth. Grand Oasis Sens: Okay

Nice enough hotel. Set aside at least 2 hours every morning to book dinner reservations for next day! Good entertainment shows. For some reason getting drinking water way harder than getting alcohol. Strong winds every day. Never allowed to dip a toe in the ocean.

First impressions the hotel is older with some renos done, the rooms need upgrading and the water pipes need major work as we had no water in our rooms for 3 days during the day . Trying to get a bottle of water is like pulling teeth or a dinner reservation get there before the 8 am start time or you are SOL. I was in tears trying to get a dinner reservation for my husbands 50th BDay. Major issue our safe did not work the whole week thankfully we were with a group and we used theirs. They a [... read more]re seriously under staffed 1 girl serving coffee with a line up 20 deep or the lobby bar at night with only 1 bartender. Hard to give a rating for the service most wait staff tried very hard but run off their feet.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Hugely Disappointing

Very dated, very basic bare bones, hated the food, hated that basic services were few and far between, staff were decent, rooms were clean, but the plumbing left a lot to be desired, 2 elevators that hold a max of 6 people that might or might not work to move a huge amount of people from their rooms to the lobby is absolutely absurd. The tiered system with the wrist bands is pretty extreme, when you can’t go into a coffee shop for a cup of coffee, because your wrist band won’t allow you to, well, that’s just insane. Also the limitations on the restaurants is just not cool. Anywhere that was considered half decent to eat was off limits. I could continue, but it’s not favourable, so I’ll stop. Best place we found to eat was at the taco kiosk at the food court.

Grand Oasis Sens: Not what I was expecting.

The hotel was old and dated. Our room was horrible.. hairs on the pillows, terrible water pressure and was mainly cold. The pool area there was insane and not in a good way. We stuck to the beach.. that was the only good part. We paid way too much for this resort and we didn’t even get the top package.. couldn’t even go to all the restaurants and bars because of our wrist bands which was ridiculous. The staff said they were going to do something special for my fiancé and I since we just got engaged and they did nothing.. so that was stupid. We had to basically hide bottles of water in our room because it was impossible to get bottled water.. they always tried to serve us tap water. I was sick from the food 4 out of the 7 days. The excursions we went on were amazing but pricey. Would recommend the catamaran but not the Tulum tour.. sounds like the Coba tour was way better. It was nice to get off the resort since we hated being in our room because of how gross it was.

Smart Cancun By Oasis: Best part of Mexico!

Food was amazing... as was the beach nearby... Tulum is my favourite part of Mexico I have travelled thus far. Lots of ruins, lagoons and cenotes around. If you are looking for a relaxing resort, this is the place!

Grand Oasis Cancun: RESORT IS DIRTY

THE RESORT WAS NOT A 4.5 STAR, 3.5 MORE LIKE IT. The staff were amazing tho. Very nice people!! I would recommend resort to young people looking to party. Not a family vacation. The food was great. Lots of places to eat. Pool was grat very clean. The beach was beautiful. I felt safe on the resort and on the beach.

Grand Oasis Sens: Average resort

Rooms are nice and clean, beautiful beach area, several pools to enjoy, restaurants are poor - 3 are additional costs, 1 very difficult to get into as only 15 seats, 3 remaining are mexican, italian and buffett. Not too much to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful. However, if you don't tip generously the bartenders will not serve you.

Grand Oasis Sens: Nice Place...but will not revisit

I was travelling with 3 of my friends on Jan. 31 (for an 8 days stay). The hotel is very close to the airport, the transport was quick. Some travellers found out upon arrival that no rooms were available. We needed to tip at the fromt desk to get a better room. The rooms were fine, no issues. The bed not too comfortable but did the job. The TV was damaged so the screen had bad quality. Impossible to get any botteled water anywhere in the hotel except what was in the room fridge... Since we  [... read more]didn’t have the upgrade for Sian Ka’an, we only had access to 1 bar that was closing at 10 pm. The Kinky disco was then becoming available that was really so so. The service at the bar (lobby or the beach), was VERY slow!! Only one barman, David, was great but we gave him tips of around 10$US/day. The restaurants can be reserved only 24-48 hrs before and the line ups were horrible. The buffet was mediocre, the time to get an omelet in the morning was 40 min. Very frustrating. On two occasions, while in a restaurant, we just left without receiving our meal since it took 1 hour to get it...and still, it didn’t arrive. Although it is mentionned not to leave the towels on the chairs, travellers do it anyway. Therefore, there is almost never any seats available around the pool. The music is nice during the day, entertainment, although short, was fun as well, as was the foam pool party. The bracelet given upon arrival is also the key to the room. That is a nice upgrade so there is no worry about loosing the room card. What made a difference was the beautiful weather and the great people we met. Over all, I give this resort a 6 out of 10.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great resort

The hotel itself was fabulous. Our ocean view room in villa 3 was fantastic. Hot water was the only issue we had which was sometimes hard to get. Food was amazing we ate at the steakhouse for dinner every night. We really like the food court and had the tacos and happy chicken often for lunch. Drinks were good and was never an issue getting a beach lounge chair. Ocean was wavy but nice and blue and clear with white sand beaches.

Grand Oasis Sens: Amazing resort

Great resort, excellent service and the food was out of this world. I would highly recommend, but you need to book the Shan kaan package. You get royal treatment. It might be an older resort, but they are constantly upgrading and very clean.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Would go back in a heart beat!

Loved this resort! Clean, amazing staff and lots to do! There was nothing I would have changed about this trip. There's so many restaurants to choose from and 2 buffets at each end of the resort! The entertainment staff by the beach made our trip so specia!

Grand Oasis Cancun: 'The Entertainment Resort'

Very large, spread out hotel. A lot of walking. Not many public washrooms and bars are also very spread out...not everyone wants to hop in the pool to get a drink all t he time. I would suggest upgrading to the 'black band' as many nice restaurants not accessible with the blue band. Neither are premium drinks which was a dissappointment. The rooms are clean but the hotel infrastructure (our room was close to the beach) is not and many items need updating like bath tubs, fawcetts, etc. The l [... read more]obby is beautiful. Food isn't terrible but it's not a 5-star menu. Our teens loved it...we felt old (in our late 40's).

The Pyramid Cancun: Nice Resort

The dining was really good, the beach was amazing, and the pool area and grounds well kept. The rooms were clean but there was way to much noise after midnight and it was very hard to sleep. There should be an area setup outside for late night parties and not in the resort.

Grand Oasis Palm: Will not go back.

The hotel is located on a very small property. There are only two very small elevators for 10 floors worth of rooms. Never enough, always a line up. No A/C in the elevators. The room we got was very small as well. We had a problem with the water in our room. The shower kept switching from super hot water to super cold water. Nightmare to wash our kids. The restaurants were constantly half empty but they kept line ups outside due to the hostess having to check every guest in and sit them down pe [... read more]rsonally. Food wasn't good. Not a lot of variety. Restaurants were much better than buffet. Kids club was great but isn't designed for access with a stroller. Unless you're into carrying your stroller up and down flights of stairs.
