Hotel Los Cactus: Loved it.....

I really enjoyed my first trip to Cuba and the resort as a whole. The rooms are large the staff does an excellent job of keeping the rooms and the whole of the resort very clean. Great people .... very helpful. The food , facilities, beach, entertainment and location were wonderful .

Hotel Bella Costa: Upgrades needed

Staff really good,resort upgrades needed in a big way food was not good at all. Bathrooms in bad sharp. Overall not what we exspected.was much better in the pass approx 6 years ago also was not notified by tripcental about 4 to5 days of morning at beginning of trip do to the passing of Fidel Castro

Hotel Bella Costa: Great family hotel

I enjoyed the variety of activities, different places to dine, the beachfront, and the excursions. For a retiree it may not be a repeat destination of choice, but for families it would be an excellent choice. The entertainment was lovely with dances, music, magic, and even water ballet. Staff were kind and attentive. I would definitely recommmend this hotel to families.

Rooms on the Beach Negril: ROOMS NEGRIL

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and loved everything about it. It is in the middle of 7 mile beach with lots of great entertainment and food choices all around you. The staff at Rooms are all very happy to help you with whatever you need. Highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel Los Cactus: Nice quiet resort!

This was our fifth visit to Cuba (first time in Varadero). We chose this resort for its value and its proximity to the golf course as we wanted to golf during our stay. It is a nice resort that is very quiet, not busy and has mostly middle aged couples. It was just the relaxing time we were looking for. Our room was spacious and clean. The grounds were well kept. We anticipated that the food would be just OK, even for Cuban standards, so we were not disappointed. We always found something to eat and enjoyed the omelettes in the morning and the burgers at the Beach Grill during the day. Our dinner at the Italian a la carte and the Beach Grill a la carte were very enjoyable. Overall our stay was very good. The food is mediocre, but at long as you go with that understanding, you will not be disappointed with this resort. It is good value for money.

Hotel Bella Costa: Just OK

The hotel is older and run down quite a bit, in dire need of paint and the grounds need groomed, grass was a foot high in some sections. First time I was sick in Cuba, food was limited and not good at all...mixed drinks were not good either, had to stick to beer and wine. Beach was beautiful, staff amazing, and rooms were old but quite nice, we stayed in a villa

Hotel Los Cactus: Dissappointing given the rating and reputation 'Breezes' has.

The hotel was average. The grounds were just being cleaned up during our stay. There was a lot of undeveloped areas on the property. The food was bland and not creative. The staff although nice people but not well trained in the service field.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Terrific trip!

Traveled to Jewel Runaway Bay with my husband and 2 children (4&7). This resort came highly recommended and in most areas didn't disappoint. Food was very good. Stone oven pizza. Italian and Japanese restaurants. Buffet has A LOT of seafood and I'm allergic so there weren't many buffet choices, but there is no limit at the a la carte restaurants. Pool service was great. Buffet and restaurant service quite slow. Beautiful beach with on site snorkeling, but it isn't huge in case you want to go  [... read more]for a long walk. Several bars, including a swim up. Waterpark was terrific and is unlimited. Art hut with Clive at the beach was awesome and the kids loved it. The ride from the airport was 1 hr and 10 minutes, but the airport/ shuttle was so unorganized we didn't get to the resort until 3 hrs AFTER we landed which made for a very long day for the kids. No duty free store on site. Pasta bar only at the Italian restaurant. Would have been nice to have one in the buffet. The steel drum band was the best nightly entertainment. We didn't go off resort as the kids were too small for any good excursions. However, my husband and his friend walked past the beach/ property line and had conch for lunch one day. They said this was the best meal they had all week, despite being charged far too much. All in all, we had a great trip and would return.

Hotel Los Cactus: A great place to unwind!

My daughter and I took a short holiday to Veradero staying at Breezes. We spent the week playing tennis, swimming in the pool and ocean, sun bathing, snorkelling, chatting, bingo, trivia, eating, drinking, reading, playing cards and just relaxing. The accommodations were spacious and clean. The service was outstanding and so friendly. We enjoyed the restaurants, the coffee bar (got hooked on the Jamaican coffee) and the entertainment (especially the band at the lobby bar). Hotel Bella Costa: Musty Rooms, Nice people

We spent four nights at this hotel. We had to be moved the first night as our room was really musty and everything was damp - bed, pillows, everything. The staff were very nice about moving us and our next room was better, but still in pretty rough shape. We met a number of people who had similar experiences. The food was better than expected, nothing to rave about but doable. Bars were fine and readily available. The hotel is right on the beach and the beach is beautiful. No swim up bar [... read more], no piano in the "piano bar". Hot tubs are okay but they're out of the action so hard to find and pretty quiet. Not a bad resort if you can get it for a steal and want to spent lots of time on the beach - as long as you can prepared for the rooms.

Hotel Los Cactus: What friendly staff and tourists !

The Breezes Varadero is beautiful and very clean. Our room was spotless with a nice view form the third floor. What a week at the beach, above outdoor temperature almost every day and the ocean was very calm each day, green flag and practically no rain. Yes, all staffs were nice and friendly but especially other tourists. Since all LIVE entertainment were cancelled due to Castro's death, we end up meeting lost of tourists. Hotel Bella Costa: Good resort

Second time atthis hotel, after 7 years. Renovations made the place nicer. Breakfast is so-so but lunch and dinner were great! Pool was nice, but we spent most of our time at the beach, which was amazing.

Hotel Los Cactus: Just right!!

The layout of the hotel/grounds was great. Beach was beautiful with a long shoreline. Most of the food was good, you just had to choose what you like. Some plates actually very good. Transport to and from very organized. Service okay.

Breezes Bahamas: Amazing food!

My husband and I recently got back from 3 nights 4 days at Breezes resort in Nassau. The resort in itself and rooms are in need of an update but we weren't there to sit inside the room. The food is amazing, the drinks plentiful and the beach is amazing. Always easy to find a chair near beach and pool. The service is great and all the people are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.

Hotel Bella Costa: home away from home

Week of November 18-25 2016 I have been to Varadaro several times and now have finally found my home away from home. The staff at The Hotel Bella Costa is what makes this place so wonderful. Every turn in the hotel you are greeted with happiness and smiles. From the security in the front to the reception desk to the entertainment and bar staff...awesome people :) The hotel is aged but so clean. Jaclyn ( housekeeping) for room 324 was amazing - she made us feel so special every day and greeted [... read more] us with smiles.....She surprised us EVERYDAY with her beautiful talent of towel art. It’s the little things that I appreciate. The beach is beautiful and clean - the pool was a bit busy because of the afternoon actives in the pool area but it was so much fun. I meet so many wonderful and interesting people at this hotel. I love to hear the stories from the long time returning guests.....We took a private tour to Havana and it was so amazing...way better than by the tour bus that I had done a few years back with so many other guests..... I did hear that there was a catamaran trip that the crew stopped the trip just short of the dock and demanded $10.00 from each of the 85 guests...not cool!!! That not the Hotels fault but I felt so bad for the guest and they were warning us not to go!!! So please be careful if you decide to do this excursion. The buffet food was amazing for all the meals that I was there for but my breakfast was the best...I love the omelet lady - she was so funny and always remembered that I needed to have egg white :) I went for a couple of massages it was so cheap and it helped me to relax so much easier! Book when you get there....he books up fast! Souvenirs are cheaper with the vendor by pool area than in the market place in Varadaro... they have a wonderful artist in the lobby that is so talented and I am looking forward to giving my sketch to my special guy for Christmas...shhhh :) They also sell wonderful beautiful paintings in the evening ....there is so much wonderful talent at the Bella Costa. I do not want to give up all the details of my stay at the Bella Costa - you need to go and make your own memories there  Have a safe and wonderful trip!!

Hotel Los Cactus: Breezes Stay

This resort is beautiful nestled on a lovely beach. Enjoyed meeting people while night of karaoking. I found the water pressure very low when attempting to use warm water and the staff not responsive.

Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful stay

Hotel is very nice. Rooms are very clean the staff is friendly and amazing. The food is good we had a wonderful stay at the Bella Costa all of our requests were fulfilled upon request. Jacquelyn our maid was wonderful and always left little notes which we looked forward to reading every day along with all the little characters she would make with the towels always brought a smile to our faces. I am planning a personal return visit next year to the same hotel it is quaint and lovely

Hotel Bella Costa: fantastic, that's it fantastic

The suite was more than we ever expected, two floors, three bathrooms,seriously? The towel guy, the entertainment staff, the omelette girl, the pasta guy, the maid, our four kids had a fantastic time and are already saving for next year. Hotel Bella Costa :)

Hotel Los Cactus: Loved the food

This was our first time to cuba and we were told that the food sucks! I thought this resort had a good select of food at the buffet, good enough to last a full week and not get too sick of it. We had 3 other options for dinning but you had to book for them. Lunch options were a buffet or a bbq that had hotdogs and hamburgers and the main chef there Hector was a fantastic guy. All activities they had going had very limited people participating. Could of just been the people that were there...not sure.

Hotel Los Cactus: great time

Having been there several times we love returning to the breezes and we particularly love the staff. They always make the effort to remember you and go out of their way to make you feel at home. I like the proximity to the golf course. When there is an issue they are very quick to correct it and always with a smile. .
