Club Amigo Ancon: Great and work for this money!

We are staying here in January 2017. Hotel us much further then other one. But it is work because it is more clean and quite. Reception girl with name Maria Elena was very helpful. Reception manager Ilen very kind and helpful. She solve our problem right away. Because we are travel with my little son and we must to have queen bed and tab bath, she gave us better room. Hotel Rancho Luna: Nice Hotel in Cuba 3+

This quiet beach front hotel delivered exactly what was expected for the price. Adequate accommodations, food, service, pool, amenities. Daily shuttle to town. The staff are exceptional. I slept, ate, drank, rode, swam and enjoyed the quiet. No WIFI, no extras, no hassles, no waiting, nothing unexpected. Nice front lobby.

Hotel Rancho Luna: amazing weather

Rancho Luna was an ok to stay. Hotel needs some updating but the staff really try hard to make it look good and clean. They do not supply water in the rooms you need to go to bar to get your own a bit of pain. Food was not good but you could always find something to eat did not go hungry. Fancy drinks they did not have so if you like those kinda of drinks you will not be happy. Enjoyed the week as the weather sunny not humid days make up for any other dislikes.

Hotel Rancho Luna: should be ** not ***

I have been going to this hotel many times. Last year they fix the pool and is salt water clean. Also they change the roof of the hotel, and now they are doing painting and patching. Looks very attracting colours. Rooms are decent clean despite of some toilets cracking but not leaking as well some mirrors. The beach to be honest is very bad full of weeds and mad. I was there on January 8 to 15, which consider high season. I paid higher than other times, but I realize plenty of food and very good. Other times back on September very poor. Maybe has to do with high season. For good time ....is an ideal hotel to station.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Good value for cost!

I would look to revisit areas again with similar cost and prices. It was a success vacation with content feelings of revisits.... I thought the staff was friendly. I felt the rooms were clean and the food was fairly benificial for Cuban resorts I have visited in past years..

Hotel Rancho Luna: Good resort!

Good people and food, beautiful beach and nice rooms. Beautiful location close to many other tourist attractions like Jagua castle , Cienfuegos city , flamingos sight seeing and many more. Good entertainment every night and friendly staff.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Amazing resort

Some changes but overall a great place. The staff was very friendly, there was always activities and entertainment. The food was good and the place was always clean. It's a good hotel and I would go back again.

Food was quite acceptable,rooms were clean,staff is friendly. Beach is better if you walk 5 minutes to public beach. The free bus shuttle is very handy and on time. I have no complaints at all. I'm going back again for sure!

The hotel needs a bit of sprucing up, when we left, the exterieur was being painted. The rooms are quite clean, best rooms on bottom floor as they have outdoor balcony. The pool also needs a better cleaning. The beach and the pool always have sufficient beach chairs. A charge of $15. cuc to get beach towels should be removed. The hotel must stop the teenage prostitution with the elderlymen if they want to attract families with children instead of encouraging it as it seems some staff around the bar area supply girls when requested. We liked the weather, the pool but were very disappointed with the total lack of activities, there are no bikes or any organized activites even if mentionned on hotel web site.

Club Amigo Costa Sur: Amigo costa sur in Trinidad, Cuba

Great food, good staff, wonderful place to start a bike ride. The view on the water is super to start the day with a coffee. The apartments in the Tropical area were quiet with a great view. Great pool. Too bad there is no bike for rent.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Review Trip To Rancho Luna, Cienfuegos Cuba

We just returned Saturday November 5th, from Rancho Luna, Cienfuegos, Cuba. We have been to the hotel over 20 times as we have friends in the area. We have seen many changes over the years. We were impressed with all the painting that has taken place with the new management. They even have dual flush toilets installed, and new phones. Same old mattresses, and they use no mattress pads, so just a sheet between you and the stains. Even the bed spreads had stains on them. Some of the pil [... read more]lows smelled very bad, and room was very musty. We are only in our rooms to sleep. They have nice new shaded areas around the pool, which is where we spent some time. This time of year is very bad with jiggers and "no see ums" at the beach but at the pool and a nice breeze it was fine. The grounds were nicer than we have ever seen them. Of course being rainy season every thing was lush and green. Hedges are trimmed into neat designs, and well taken care of. The maids do well to keep the rooms clean as far as the floors and bathroom. I needed a piece of foam as the beds are very hard and almost unbearable to sleep on. The day after we arrived, they got it for me, and extra pillows. The biggest complaint I have is the bus ride from the airport in Santa Clara to the hotel. There were two buses. On the bus we were on I was the only women. A lot of the men had quite a bit to drink already, then wanted to stop shortly after taking off for more bear. Then of course they had to get the driver to stop so they could all pee beside the bus. That all wasn't so bad, but their language was TERRIBLE. A couple of the guys would use the "f" word 2 and 3 times in every sentence. Seemed they were going their for one thing...the women. We know the hotel has had a reputation as being for "dirty old men". (However these guys were not old) I could not wait to get off that bus- I was tired of hearing who and how many they were going to connect with and do what with and who would do what. They have put stricter regulations in place as to how often one women can stay at the hotel with more than one man, and apparently charge more to make it less appealing. . I think a lot of the "activity" has moved to the clubs and the hotel provides a bus. They have tried to make it a bit more family oriented, and we saw more kids this time then usual. They even put a playground in, and painted the mini golf. So, after that horrid bus ride we did have a nice time. Missed our favourite gal "Isabel" in the dining room. Meals were typical - even slightly improved with a bit more variety. Exchange was .39 on the dollar at the hotel, but slightly less in the City.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Nice budget hotel

I have been going to Rancho Luna for the past 5 years and every time it seems to be improving on the food, rooms, service, drinks etc.The shower has got good hot water pressure than before. There are a lot of activities at the hotel.

-first of all you would think with a large group they would try and keep us all together (rooms) did not happen -we first got a room with 2 doubles and a rollaway (did not ask for) -the next morning we moved ( inconvenient) only because the tour guide made that happen -the ladies at resort front desk were rude, the men were friendlier -the room had a noisy air conditioner old one our friends had new air conditioners no noise -no toilet seat in first room second room had toilet seat had to a [... read more]sk -no safe that worked we had maintencec come in could not get to work -second room safe would not work had to carry valuables around not good -bedding was not changed all week I had to ask for new pillow case-did leave maid tip every day -al la carte restaurant was nice, -there were birds and flies in main restaurant -staff did not understand English -they could have played some English music -all in all the weather was good, good thing the pool was open because the resort Ancon beside them the pool was closed that's where we were going to stay originally -our luggage was damaged, waiting for Cubana airlines to call back, it has now been a week -for 4 star resort it was not very updated, pool tiles falling apart, railings were not sturdy -The Cuban Airport on the way back had a power outage a few times, which caused long wait time -the reason why the location is poor was because there was a three hour bus ride to resort

For a 4 star resort I was very disappointed. The water is a real problem there. There is no hot water at all and at times there was no water. We didn't have a toilet seat which we got used to as they said they couldn't get one. We got locked in the bathroom twice and the maintenance solution was not to shut the door. Service wasn't very good until the head manager got there on Thursday, then the staff where more accommodating. I stopped giving tips midweek as it didn't seem to matter. The food [... read more] was decent but the 3 alacarte restaurants turned out to be just one. No one seemed to clean the pool very often. We were often picking up glasses and debris out of the pool ourselves. The rooms were spacious and the air conditioning worked well in our room. We had a hairdryer but it didn't work either. The beach was lovely.

Hotel Rancho Luna: resort going downhill

did get on my first day my ocean view room , upstairs, switched on the 2nd day . waited on Sunday for 5 minutes to get into the dinning room , had to wait 29 minutes to get a plate to get some food . 1 day I did not eat at all because the food was terrible and very little left to choose from . the cart on the beach should be replaced . 22 days on the beach no food for lunch.

Hotel Rancho Luna: great value

I have stayed there many times and always enjoyed it. the staff is great and always smiling as they serve you. The grounds are neat as a pin ,the pool is kept nice and clean the rooms are clean but could use some paint. The food is not the KEG quality but you won't starve. It is a big bang for your buck. Hotel Rancho Luna: Better then expected

I was in the Rancho Luna first time several years ago, and at that time it was really bad,,,, the swimming pool was mess, food was very bad, the bar tending was arrogant and to many animals on the property, and overall, it was just bad bad bad. Now, after few years I was back again, just because of my friend who wanted to go there. One think I noticed big changes in just about everything. The only problem I found is the beach bar. Apparently, you can order only hamburger or a fish every single day. This is clearly not enough, because the fish is always the same and not fresh, and the hamburger is not tasty at all.. Considering the beautiful beach & the beach bar they already have, so close to the beach, and the facility they already have there, they can do so much more to improve overall picture for so little. If I am running their business I would take one or two waiters, plus some food from the main restaurant and serve it at the beach bar to those people who happened to be on the beach. Moreover, they can also sell the food & drinks to the Cubans or visitors who are visiting the beach of playa Rancho Luna...why restrictions, make it pleasurable for all concern !

the week at rancho luna was a disaster from the start to finish nothing was what was supposed to be. the flight. the room ,the service was all minus five star. the security was non existant and we suffered because of that and all was like this is normal
