Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Nice resort

The resort is well laid-out. Lobby bar was very good at supplying the drinks we wanted, no shortages. The buffet had a good choice, so we were always able to eat to our content. The a la carte Italian and Japanese restaurants were also very good. Although it was indicated wifi throughout the resort, I was never able to logon from our room #4222. We were able to logon only in the lobby. The room was nice except they didn't wet mop the room for the full week that we were there, resulting in dirty  [... read more]floors. Also had problems with the television and remotes which they had to replace. It would be good if they sprayed the principal walkways because of the prominence of bugs. By the time I got back home, I had approximately 15 bug bites on my legs that still itch even after 5 days back home. I would recommend bringing a can of bug repellent with you when you go. The pool that was near our room was very nice and had swim-up bar and a snack bar. It was also possible to go for a long walk on the beach.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Nice vacation

Grand Sirenis is located in a white long beach with crystal water. Room is modern, clean every day. Food is modest, drinks available. Staff is friendly. Some snorkeling with standard fish set available. We will come back.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing resort and stuff

I would like to send extended thank you to hard working diamond club stuff Nordelys, Malvia and Agustin for their services. They always made sure that our stay was plesent. We reserved beautiful service from Raul Pino Martinez and his beautiful wife Deily Romero and Reinier Molina. They always having smile on their face, and always their services goes above and beyond. Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Highly recommended

I would go back to Geand Sirenis Cayo Santa Maria in a heartbeat. The hotel was really nice, the grounds beautiful. We enjoyed to white sand beach and pools so much. The staff was beyond exceptional! The staff was amazing including a top notch management staff.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Good experience with some caveats

Most people are nice, great beach and view. Food is decent given the situation i still liked it. However there were some issues like the moisture in room and unclean sheets and pillows. Overall still good for the price but there are salubrity and amenities concerns.

Iberostar Coral Ensenachos: Beautiful beaches , wonderful staff!

Lovely resort with beautiful spacious villas, with.private hottubs. The grounds are lovely and the pool is spotless. The beach is to die for and you can go for long walks. Please be aware that this is Cuba and the food which was decent was far from exceptional The staff was amazing and always did their best to please! I will return with no hesitation!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Better Than Anticipated

We did not experience any shortages. They had eggs each morning, lots of bread, pizza by Carlos was very good. A la carte was good when opened (every other night). Service was very good. Beds and pillows were unusually comfortable for Cuba. AC was terrific ?Hot water was excellent. No shortages of wine, sparkling wine, beer, gin, vodka, whiskey or rum. The beach is the absolute best! I believe Sunwing is a part owner and the should be ashamed that they don't do more to improve the property. We realize that it is challenging to acquire certain things in Cuba, however, if you go a couple of resorts down the beach to The Royalton, you find that it's still possible to maintain a hotel in Cuba. We understand that they are a more expensive property, but if the don't start looking after the Grand Memories they will pass the point of no return. Overall a good place to go if you are looking for a low cost vacation. You'll enjoy yourself if your expectations are aligned with the price you pay . We'd definitely spend the extra next time to go to a better maintained property such as The Royalton. You get what you pay for. Don't forget your bug spray, depending on the time of the year you will need it.

Valentin Perla Blanca: You get what you pay for

I want to start off by saying the bartenders and waiters are amazing and the beaches are beautiful. Unfortunately, it feels like the resort is cutting back on costs with food and entertainment. I wish we didn’t have to ask for necessities such as towels and bedding to be changed and that amenities were open such as the gym and the theatre where performances were supposed to happen. The food was re used throughout the day and the wifi was always “down”.

Everything was good , all staff was supportive, caring and well trained. Just little suggestioi would like to give is try to hire some employees who can understand and spreak English as well. Overall it was pleasure staying there????

Our check in was good. My group was booked in the same building but mine was separate. Room: good size for a suite and complete supply of amenities. My 2nd, 3rd and 4th night was infested by bugs. Good thing I brought my bug spray. They were everywhere even behind tables and curtains. Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great resort!

The water and beach was amazing. The food at the adults only side was actually quite decent! The rooms could use some updating and renovations but, we barely spent any time there so it was fine. The service was great! They tried to make the stay as comfortable as possible.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Resort

Royalton great resort, service is impeccable .this resort has wonderful staff and they all speak a perfect English. I would like to thank OMAR our room butler and JASMIN from housekeeping for their devoted service. The beach with the white sand and the ocean with the clear and amazing water was out of this world. Food and beverages were very good .This is definitely a 5 star resort. Bus ride from the airport is long but once you arrive at the resort it is worth it. Grand Memories Santa Maria: Beach Lovers

If you love the beach this is a great place. Price is very affordable but you get what you pay for. Hotel is run down. Travels in May and a lot of resort was closed. Diamond club offered pretty much nothing. Food was not kept hot on buffet and only one a la carte open and taking only 10 reservations per night. Saying all of this, we did have a great time. Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic time

I drank half my body weight in booze. Spent more time in the pools than ever before (4th time here), the water was so warm. Had amazing cream soups at the dinner buffet. Staff is unbelievable friendly. Can't wait to come back in Sept.

Magnificent, beautiful buildings, lobby, interior and exterior, friendly people, nice service, 24 hrs WiFi. Beach is the best, fine sand, friendly bar staff, very friendly staff at restaurant. Entertainment professional, young girls and boys are dancing great.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Terrible experience - not a Cuban 5 Star!

I have been to Cuba several times over the past 10 years and this will be my last visit! I understand that over the years, with the Pandemic and several natural disasters, Cuba has been impacted by supply chain issues and lack of availability of food resources, so my expectations have always been managed. What I did not expect, was the lack of care, and poor customer service (that has never been my experience in the past). Half the resort was abandoned, with only 1 pool open, several of the [... read more] units without railings (on higher floors) and other cafe's and amenities closed with no notice posted or any email going out to advise about these closures. The customer service at Valentin Perla Blanca was awful! from not providing basic hygiene throughout the resort (including our rooms - we slept with sand in our bed, no clean towels, and NO TOILET PAPER FOR DAYS). The common areas had broken glass in the lobby bar area for 2 days straight, and the glass stair railing was broken and not taped off for safety. Let's talk food services: The buffet restaurant had the same menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with eggs not available for half our trip. I understand there are shortages, but the resort was only at 20% capacity and the neighboring resorts that we visited had more food options than this one. The buffet staff would hold back food from the guests then proceed to take that same food out for themselves near the end of service (eg. bacon was not provided to guests for breakfast, but we later saw the employees helping themselves). The staff would start eating while guests were dining, and delay service because they were counting tips. The a la carte was 1 per day, with 3 themes rotating for three days. The food was mis-labeled which can create a problem with those with allergies and/ or intolerances. This was the case in both the buffet and the menu at every a la carte. Entertainment: There was none! period! The staff in-charge of entertainment sat around and did not provide any entertainment at the pool, at the beach or in the evening with the exception of the occasional dj that played the same loop off his laptop. No sports available during the day (volleyball, etc) and nothing on the daily schedule was actually available, EVER, with no reason provided as to why there was no entertainment throughout the day. The entertainers would just walk around asking guests to leave them toiletries and medications as their are shortages. Rooms: Phone not working throughout our trip (we requested a fix 3 different times and nothing was done), no water in the room for a few days (we had to purchase the water at the small gift shop to brush our teeth), our door would not lock for an entire day (it took them 8 hours to fix it), our sink kept leaking as it was not attached to actual plumbing and the water ran into a hole in the floor. The room also did not have many of the items listed on the TripCentral ad such as tea and coffee makers, etc in the room. Beverages: Only rum, beer and white wine was available. We had visited the One Gallary and Paradesis (right next door to us) and they had more variety of alcoholic drinks, including vodka, red , rose and white wine, and other malts and spirits. It was evident that this resort was staffed with employees that chose not to make available the food, and amenities that were supposed to be available to paying guests. Managers and Customer service reps were not helpful in resolving any off the issues and were very difficult to reason with. We did not get anywhere near what we paid for and all the false advertising not only makes me not want to ever book this resort, but also lose faith in Trip Central for their accuracy in what they advertise. Never again! Good bye Cuba!

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Tired resort

My partner and I were at the Sol May2 - May 9, 2024. It was our 4th visit at the Sol and were very pleased with the renovations. The bungalows were all freshly painted on the exterior and the rooms were updated and very modern. Unfortunately,the hammock style chairs on the balcony were very uncomfortable making it very difficult to get up from, so we hardly made use of the balcony. Furthermore, we encountered a strong smell in the room due to strong sewage fumes coming into the room through the  [... read more]AC unit and also in the bathroom. I had to hold my breath as long as possible in order to use the bathroom. My partner was ill from inhaling the fumes during the night as well. I'm guessing that the renos were mostly cosmetic, but the infrastructure needs revamping as well. On the positive side, the beach was fantastic and the staff very accomodating. This will be our last visit to Sol.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Great Stay

First all inclusive in Cuba and we had a great time. The beaches were the highlight of our visit. We had lots of private time as the resort was far from full due to the time of year. Staff was great and any concerns we had were quickly addressed by Public Relations desk.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Private and chill

The hotel was very quiet. It almost felt like we were staying at a private resort. The staff was amazing and accommodating for all of our requests. The rooms were very clean and quite large with a beautiful view. We were a very large group and they went over and beyond for us. The beach was not the nicest i have seen but it was still good.
