Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort!

Beautiful grounds. Clean rooms. Good food. Unfortunately service at the front desk was poor. Slow and disinterested staff. No beach or room towels on 2 days. No explanation given. Beach and pool beds were hard to find but it was a busy time of the year.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Great resort for our friends getaway

We can't complain about any aspect of the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, the cleaning staff were wonderful. We traveled with a group of 14 we were always able to get lounge chairs together at the pool and beach. And at the meals we ate together no problem sitting together. Wait staff in the buffets were awsome as were the bar keepers. Loved the resort and can't wait to go back.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Barcelo Bavaro Beach

Beautiful Beaches and Grounds. Wide selection of dining options and good variety of food. The hotel rooms were a bit tired but they were clean and a good size. Overall staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Lovely resort

Overall, the resort was lovely. The lazy river was definitely a highlight, especially as the main pool close to the beach is small and seemed to be primarily filled with people who wanted access to the swim up bar. The beach was gorgeous, plenty of sun chairs and plenty of shade. Food and service were hit or miss. Buffet was mediocre at best - the best options were fresh made omelettes/eggs and grilled sandwiches. Of the a la carte restaurants, our best experiences were at Rio (Brazilian)  [... read more]and Zen (Japanese teppanyaki). We went to Rio on my husband's birthday - they accommodated and earlier seating, food was delicious (salad bar was nice to have) and the staff made a big show out of celebrating my husband's birthday with a whole cake and song and dance! We had high expectations of Hunter steakhouse and unfortunately we were very disappointed. Despite having a reservation, we waited an hour to be seated. Everyone received their appetizer but me - I finally received it after asking 3 times. And service was extremely slow. Our room was excellent - totally worth the upgrade to the 1-BR suite with our two teenage boys - plenty of room for the 4 of us, 2 full bathrooms and an incredible view! Overall, we had a wonderful time but would likely return to one of the other two resorts we have been to in DR over this one.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great resort

Clean, right on the ocean, surf was rough with yellow flag most days. Great staff. Food was excellent. Pools nice, grounds beautiful. Option to upgrade but did not do so- not necessary for us. Did not go on any excursions.

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Amazing resort

Amazing, cleanlyness, food, entertainment, pools Yailin in entertainment is awesome. She involved everybody and she is so fun to be with. She made the entertainment. Full of energy and motivated in a positive way

Ocean Blue and Sand: Lovely Resort

The resort was wonderful. Very well kept grounds. Rooms were clean. Pool areas were great. Beach was spectacular. Ate at all the à la carte restaurants, fantastic meals and the buffet was also terrific. Entertainment was also very good. I’d definitely go back.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Give it a 4

The resort was beautiful, rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. However we were disappointed in the Adult only El Beso. Most services are on the family side so very little on adult side except for one restaurant, small lobby and one small snack bar under renovation. The Pool was great and the pool bars. Almost impossible to get bar staff attention from outside the pool. They advertise a juice bar on dry side of the pool but no one ever there. Information on activi [... read more]ties is very difficult and frustrating to find. We missed most because always found out after the activity had taken place. The party pool was very loud especially when our room was right behind the boom box. The balcony was beautiful but we could not enjoy any sitting or reading between 3 to 6 pm. Which would have been our time to relax after a full morning in the sun, pool and beach. So for adults who want a quiet afternoon, do not stay in building 11. The Piano bar in main lobby was a great surprise which we totally enjoyed. We were disappointed to learn that there were free shuttles available to other Ocean' hotels and gift shops. We only found out on our way back to airport. Only one shop on premises, limited choice and very expensive. The beach was only ok, mostly rocky so not inviting for swimming but to sit, watch and listen to the surf was therapeutic nonetheless. The A la Carte restaurants were a welcomed feature. We did enjoy our week and air Transat was great but I would not give this resort any more than a 4 star. There are many pros with having all services concentrated in one area but lots of cons too. One suggestion would be to add a coffee shop on the Adult side. There is only one coffee shop on the resort and there is a constant line up beginning before opening at 7AM. Definitely better communication re activities and not total reliability on QR codes. Not everyone is able to work this. Thank you. Hope my comments help improve this hotel for future. We would not return to this resort.

Secrets Royal Beach: One word - EXCELENTE !

Just an overall amazing experience that exceeded our expectations. Quality of the food, level of service, amenities all exceptional! Although the Resort was near capacity, we never had to wait for service or to be seated at a restaurant. Beach and pool areas were exceptional and always clean.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Good family vacation place

The hotel and grounds were clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Big enough with plenty to do but small enough to walk everywhere. The beach was lovely, shallow for a long way and no dangerous waves. We did get whiffs every once in a while while outside of a sewage smell ??? Although there was tremendous choice at the buffet I was very careful of choices( eggs and some meat seemed undercooked). I drank only bottled water and still came down with travellers sickness( as did a few other fam [... read more]ily members). All in all a good budget friendly vacation.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: The best resort I ever stayed in in my life

I have to name my butler Arling and recreation and entertainment person Victor. These two individuals made my stay and my family stay beyond incredible they are amazing employees and deserve special recognition. Had a medical emergency and were treated spectacularly by Dr Rodrigues and nurse

Riu Republica: I will not return

I had a very disappointing experience at the hotel’s spa, where I felt I was treated in an unprofessional and discourteous manner by the receptionist. I reported this incident to the general manager; however, I did not receive any acknowledgment or apology in response, which was particularly disappointing. On a positive note, the food was generally of good quality and offered a wide variety. That said, a few of the restaurants appeared to be mismanaged, with long and, in my view, unnecessary  [... read more]queues. Additionally, I found it concerning that there were no lifeguards present on the beach, especially given the strong waves.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great time!

Great restaurants, buffet could have used more selection and servers. Resort was beautiful, amazing evening entertainment, lots of poolside chairs to choose from, a larger resort but never felt busy or crowded. There were people on the resort trying to sell upgrades, packages, excursions than we were used to. After they knew we weren’t interested, they would leave us alone.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Secrets Tides.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms were spacious and new. Beach was awesome. Could walk in either direction for hours. Food was a 8/10. There was room for improvement on choice and service. As compared to other secrets resorts. But I would definitely recommend the resort. Try to book preferred. Rooms they are closer to the beach.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Excellent Resort !

We loved this resort . very chill and relaxing , just what we wanted for our holiday . We were lucky enough to book the duplex with our own small pool for the week , the room was comfortable , great bed and bathroom . Our cleaning staff were amazing and friendly . Beach was nice and cleaned every day , lots of palm trees and shade . Water was warm and shallow .Large pools were also great. The whole resort was super clean and the workers and gardeners were out maintaining the property every day . Overall we loved our week there and would return . Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Great Hotel

Food and variety is good at both the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Beach is much nicer than Bavaro - much wider and easy grade, with palm trees which offers shade if desired. Resort clean and well maintained. Entertainment is decent - some shows are really good and some so-so.

Dreams Cap Cana Resort and Spa: So fun — will definitely be back!

We travelled as two couples and all of us had such a good time. The vibe was perfect, it was easy to relax, but also really fun when you wanted it to be. We spent most of our time at the pool and there was always something going on. We’re usually not the type to jump into games or activities, but the entertainment team completely changed that. Cristopher stood out and was a highlight of our trip, he was super friendly and made us feel like family. We ended up joining way more than expected an [... read more]d it honestly made the trip. The nightly shows were also really good and something we looked forward to. Loved having the 24hr café and room service (menu is more limited late at night but still solid options). The disco above the Coral Keg was a fun bonus too. Food overall was good and staff were great. There are 5 restaurants to choose from, no reservations, so there can be a wait, but there’s also a buffet if you don’t feel like waiting. The location in Cap Cana is beautiful, it’s a gated area with stunning landscaping. The beach directly in front of the resort isn’t very swimmable, but there’s amazing swimmable water less than a 5-minute walk down the beach. Only small issues: our keycards did deactivate a few times (quick fix at the lobby), and the concierge wasn’t super helpful when we asked about going outside the gated area. We were able to figure it out ourselves pretty easily though, so it didn’t affect our trip. We even saw a few beautiful weddings while we were there and are already thinking about coming back to get married ourselves after such a great experience.

Nickelodeon Hotel Punta Cana: Overprice for what it is

The resort was okay. We selected Nick Punta Cana because of their autism double check program. We brought our 2 autistic kids. There was no program and they offered no help. Our concierge was there only to make sure we attended a 2h time share presentation. The activities for the kids with characters were not autism friendly and cost hundred of dollars extra. The water park was for toddlers. If you kids are over 5 I would not recommend going. If you kids are autistic, I would not recommend going [... read more]. That said. The staff (house keeping, bartending, waiters) were all wonderful and friendly. The food was okay. It was a little hard to get food into our autistic kids. The options for them were slim. The pool was great. The bartenders fantastic. I know I said that already but its worth mentioning. I would get an alcoholic drink for me and the kids would order virgin drinks. The bartenders were very nice and helpful for the kids. I think we would have been better suited to save money and skip the themed Nick resort for a non-themed regular resort in Punta Cana.

Princess Family Club Bavaro: Loved our time there! Traveled during March break 2026

All right, here we go! So, we stayed at the Princess Family Club for seven nights, traveling as a couple with our 18-month-old daughter. We booked through Trip Central and flew with Sunwing from Toronto Pearson. The resort is about a 30-minute bus ride from the airport, with just one quick stop at another resort. What stood out right away is that the driveway to the lobby is the shortest we’ve ever seen but there were no concerns there. Our room was a swim-up on the family side, and it wa [... read more]s fantastic—spacious, comfortable beds, and having the pool right outside the door was a dream. It was a shared pool with 13 other rooms on our side of the hotel block, but we rarely saw more than a couple of families at a time. Being on the east side of the hotel block, we got a bit of shade, which was perfect for our daughter as the sun can get quite hot during the day. Plus, we loved the beach toys and the robes and slippers that were provided in our room upon arrival. When it came to food, the à la carte restaurants were outstanding—especially Focaccia, the Italian spot. Highly recommend the pizza here. The Indian and teppanyaki restaurants were also top-notch. The service at these places was truly best in class—friendly, attentive, and really personal. The only downside was the main buffet, La Hispaniola —service there was consistently poor; we had to ask for high chairs, cutlery, and drinks repeatedly. I will say that it seemed like more of an inconvenience that we were asking for help (help as in coffee, water, cutlery, high chair). The only true interaction we had with a server at this buffet was when we had to take coffee mugs off of a freshly cleaned table beside us, the server immediately marched over and took them back then didn't replace them. In contrast, the buffet by the kids' pool (Mordisco) was a hidden gem—great service, quiet, and perfect for families, a much better choice. We also loved the coffee café—it was never too busy, even during March break, and the food trucks by the beach had some of the best bites—definitely go there for lunch. As for the pools, the kids’ pool was a highlight, with tons of slides—great for older kids and safe for toddlers. The larger beachside pool was lively, with a swim-up bar and lots of activities. And the beach itself was gorgeous—soft, cool sand, calm, sandy bottom water, though the waves could get a bit big, so keep an eye on little ones. Overall, this was a fantastic family getaway with a few minor service hiccups, but it was a truly memorable trip.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful resort!

Absolutely loved our stay at Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana. The beaches were stunning, the sand was clean and the water was lovely. The pools were conveniently located with swim up bars and great service. The food was also super tasty. The room we stayed in was recently upgraded and was comfortable, however, the shower had some issues draining. The weather was perfect the entire week and I would definitely come back here again.
