Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great for the price

We thought I was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and energetic. We enjoyed how close the pool and restaurants were to our room. Seating at both the beach and pool was limited after 9 am.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Paradisus Palma Real in April

The hotel was well maintained given its age, spacious and clean and likewise with the guest rooms. The property is large and the buildings are spread out so there was quite a bit of walking for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. Disappointed could not find a coconut drink everyday and was not aware that it was available only on the weekend. The food was average except for the breakfast where there was quite a variety offered. Night shows were ok but not advertised ahead of time. I liked the  [... read more]fact that the hotel was close to the airport although took an hour to get to the airport on the departure day due to numerous pickups and traffic. Overall a good experience and vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing facilities

Very clean, staff very friendly. Pools well maintained, beach area cleaned morning. Room was good, fridge leaked but worked. Disappointing part was we trouble booking restaurants, all booked. Unable to book in advance but when we tried booking when we arrived they were all full. Manager got involved and got us into the 3 on our part of the resort.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: solid resort for a getaway in sun

good resort for a getaway in the sun food is very good - at both the buffet and a la carts buffet was always fresh- restocked and many choices pool was nice and fun times at the swim up bar good energy rooms are dated and need some tlc but are clean the resort is very clean beach isnt the best however it does the job

Riu Palace Bavaro: Could use improvement

Upon walking in the hotel the views were great. The room also looked great minus the minor panelling chips however, there were many mosquitoes as I don’t think there are any systems in place to deter them. Every night I killed at least 6. In addition to that our tissue box never got refilled once it was empty and I noticed that the soaps both in the room and public bathrooms did not get replaced either. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Price was best

Grounds were very nice and maintained. Room was good other than no drawers to unpack. So living out of suitcase was a hassle.Food was adequate, found alot of people aaying they were sick. Not sure from food or too much sun. Entertainment was excellent and team were great. Pool,not enough chairs or umbrellas so by 530 am all the chairs were saved with towels.we found multiple saved chairs were stolen with no regret from thieves when confronted. Wyndham Alltra Samana: Wonderful Vacation!☺️

Beautiful resort with stunning beach in a cove and 3 different pools. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds, spacious bathroom and hot showers. We also had a beautiful 3rd floor garden view. Food was plentiful and delicious! Excellent choices for breakfast including eggs, bacon, fresh breads, pancakes, French toast, cold cuts, fruits, pastries and smoothies. (24 hrs) Many activities and nightly entertainment. Several bars on the resort, in the buffet, near pools and on the beach. Lobby area is lovely and breezy, great place to relax! This resort was excellent. Great food and service. The pools and rooms were clean. The staff were great and the resort was well managed. I just wished the lobby’s and some of the restaurants were more air conditioned, otherwise, everything was great.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Wonderfully Clean

The hotel was very clean and the grounds were nicely kept.checkin was very easy and the line up moved smoothly.The buffet was excellent and the overall pool area was great. The room was very clean but somewhat a little dated but that didn't mean much for me. We went there to play golf and after our golf round which was roughly 2:00 upon returning to our room we had no towels to shower and had to chase down the maids for towels and that was pretty much each day. Not friendly at all never smiled or talked. I was not impressed with the attitude at all. At the golf course I can't believe how RUDE the employees were to us. I would not go there again to golf.

Just to start off I have been to this resort 4 times and this last one was ok. I travelled with 3 friends on a golf and relaxing vacation and we picked this resort due my recommendation. Our room was looked after and very clean and we had no issue with anything in room. We ate at all 3 al a carte's and all were very good. The buffet food was very good as well and well stocked and again no issue with it. Now lets get to the workers. The buffet waiters were ok but not one would say good morning or hello upon arrival. The lady at front as you walk in was the only one who smiled. When we finished and we left our tip on the table as we all did each meal they would almost push you out of the way to get the money and it seemed like a free fall to get it. I told one server the money wasn't going anywhere. The theme for resort is not to smile and ignore any questions. I went up to take my towel back the night before to get my card so I could check out and all I got was no "cards'. I asked how would I be able to check out and I got a shrug of shoulders. Took my towel when I checked out to front and the person really wasn't happy with it. There wasn't one smile on any of the front receptions and if you asked a question it was if I was bothering them even when there was no one around. If you think the resort people are not friendly don't go to golf course. We have travelled for the past 4 year golfing and at Playa Dorado Golf Course they were so rude and unfriendly that we would not go back there but that will be in another review. Overall I still like this resort but a more friendly vibe would be nice and just a hello goes along way.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Beautiful Resort!

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The beach is awesome!! My complaints are, they offer nothing for returning guests and the a la carte restaurants have very little to no AC, which makes it uncomfortable and very warm. The pool is great, however too many kids/toddlers in main pool. They have two other pools designated for kids only. It would be better if they had an adults only pool. Ocean Blue and Sand: Good Value & Nice beach

Nice beach, pools were good, food good. had a good time Of course there are those beach bums that reserve chairs with towels that they don't remove for days on end and then they don't even use them. The hotel should go through and remove them every night.

We really enjoyed our stay! Friendly service, clean rooms n facilities throughout resort. Had everything we wanted and needed and more. Really great size with lots of room but you don’t get lost and always a trolley if u prefer to get a ride! Highly recommend!

Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: nice resort

Nice resort But the beach was disappointed But after all a nice good resort.Staff was nice food was good But a lot off days the same food Not a lot variety Entertainment was okay.They did had a lot of cats in the resorts That was sad Poor skinny cats. I felt sorry for that

MOLDY BAD RESORT! THERE ISNT A BUILDING OR ROOM THAT WAS CLEAR OF MOLD! I WAS SICK RIGHT AWAY! HAD TO WALKTO NEXT RESORT TO SEE DR. HE WAS INSISTANT ON SENDING ME OUT BY AMBULANCE. VERY LOW OXYGEN. HEART RATE VERY HIGH AND LUNGS FULL OF MOLD. AIR-CONDITIONING UNITS ARE FULL OF MOLD AND DIRT. NEVER BEEN CLEANED. CHANGE ROOMS AND SAME THING. TALKING TO PEOPLE ABOUT ROOMS AND THEY AGREED. THE ONE ROOM AIR DIDNT EVEN WORK BUT STILL MOLDY! WONT GO BACK!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort

Bahia Principe Aquamarine is an overall great resort. Staff are friendly and very accommodating. Lots of great dining options. Amazing beach and pool. A bit of walking within resort, which we enjoy and shuttle services readily available. Biggest downside is that the rooms are outdated and in need of a refresh and renovation. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort

Beautiful atmosphere, service was exceptional, room’s very clean.. always replenished fridge, etc.. Lots of huts and chairs around large pools.. all employees are so professional and friendly.. they go out of their way.. . Fabulous food selection at the buffet, never empty trays of food always replenished quickly.

Ocean El Faro: It's okay

There are people at the beginning stating their your concierge for the week, but they just try to get you to a time share and you never see them again. They book 1 restaurant, give you a coupon for 20min massage and a little bottle of alcohol so you go to this weird time share at the tower. That was not enjoyable and the pressure is a lot. We were not booked side by side rooms although requested. The resort is about 1 hour away from airport. The rooms smell a bit mouldy. The tiles are nice. I  [... read more]like the reusable cups at pools and beach, plus the waiter services. Lazy river was the best feature. The little splash pool for kids was fun. The weird pool dance off was too sexual and felt more like a strip club. The buffet had a lot of options but we got sick. Hit or miss with taste. Same with the private restaurants. The steakhouse didn't work on app. The cafe was nice, same with the burger shack. The beach is rocky, but i like wild beaches. No point in bringing snorkel gear. Good sunrises.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Medicore resort at best

Royalton Splash was quite run down in comparison to other Royalton resorts (including the sister resort next door) that we’ve stayed at. The buffet food was repetitive and often cold. The staff at breakfast were grumpy and barely tended to the tables. The butler was absolutely useless all he did the entire vacation was book 3 al a carte restaurants. We did not get the beach bag, bottle of wine, bottle of champagne or snacks in the room as advertised. He msged us daily asking where we were and no [... read more]t once did he connect with us on the vacation in person other than the first day and last day when he expected a tip. The pool tiles were falling off and my daughter cut the top of her foot the first day on them in the main pool. The pool entertainment was lousy and often didn’t start until 3pm. The beach was beautiful sand and well kept. The beach chairs however were literally on top of each other and not spaced out it was impossible to enjoy without 10 people around you at all times. They were all piled at the top of the beach ways away from the water and squished together like sardines. Was to uncomfortable. The room had a weird pull out bed when advertised with 2 queen beds. The shower leaked into the hallway and into the toilet area. The door lock did not work. The back patio door had no handle. The drawers would often open and get stuck. There was no hair dryer in our room at all. The flight on the way had none of the upgrades that were paid for. The seats were uncomfortable, 3 in a row (not the double comfy seats as advertised). I had to pay for drinks and meals which were advertised as included. The way home was perfect as anticipated and the plane food and service was amazing.
