Riu Republica

We spend amassing 8 days in Riu Republica , Punta Cana at the end of November All inclusive vacation was booked trough Tripcentral almost at the last minute and all trip was more than satisfying ,smooth and incredible for us . Resort was immaculate, clean with beautiful grounds . Modern clean and spacious room and bathroom , unexpected balcony view was bonus that made our stay even more special . Beach was one of the best we ever swim in Dominican also with lots of palapas and palm trees to chose . All staff was very friendly , drinks very good and all together vacation was very relaxing and amassing for us . Thank you Riu ...we will be definitely back again and we will highly recommend Riu and Tripcentral for booking.

What a fantastic resort- first class and worth all 5 stars from start to finish

Don't spend another minute choosing another resort- Riu Replubica is simply the best 5 star resort in the south for your money..it was very helpful we could avoid Toronto airport (went out of Hamilton) but we never expected the place to be so immaculately clean and well served with happy eager people! Our food expectations were "all inclusive" but we really did enjoy all the variety and the a la carte options were nice - but the buffet for all 3 meals could not be beat! This is a huge place and it was packed but we always found a chair on the beach or by the pool or for one of the entertaining evening shows. Amazing Resort, everything we expected and more.....

Riu Republica is a very modern and clean resort, and very spacious offering many bars and sitting areas. Rooms are spacious offering all the comforts of home. Mini fridge was stocked every other day, always had fresh water and clean towels. Al la carts are first come first serve, no reservations or limits. We went to the Steak house twice and the Asian Restaurant 3 times as well as the buffet and there was a huge variety of food offered with great presentation. Lots of chairs available either at the pools or beaches. Incredibly with the size of the resort it never felt over crowed. The staff works so hard and aim to please. This resort really nailed it for entertainment for all ages,lots of activities going on steady all day and all night. Foam parties, Beach Parties, Disco, Water Slides, many games....I will totally go back and recommend this Resort.

Excellent Resort!

This is an excellent resort. This resort is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and a good size with a balcony. The mini bar is restocked every second day and the reception desk freely gives out bottled water for your room if you run out. The buffets and restaurants had great food. Our beach did not have a seaweed problem like some of the other resorts. All the staff were great, but some go above and beyond like Alison and Roberto our waiters in the Buffet and Chocolate of the Animation Team. I would recommend this resort.

Amazing time

The resort was great overall. The food was great. Steakhouse was my favorite. Lunch and supper buffets were also really good. Beach and water were very nice. All the staff were very accommodating and friendly Would definitely recommend this resort and hopefully I'll be back someday.

RIU Republica was an amazing time! Would repeat in a heartbeat!!

This resort is for adults who want to have a good time and meet a ton of like minded individuals from around the world. It was a very refreshing experience from the usual all inclusive resorts as this one is adults only and has a different vibe. I made a ton of new friends from Canada, the USA, UK and Argentina as well as some new Dominican friends ...mind you I have been to the DR 5 times before ...this trip was the most memorable, the event staff was amazing and the restaurants were ok.... [... read more].not 5 star but acceptable and the buffet was good. The beach was awesome and clean.....I am sad writing this review as it means I am back at my desk!

Amazing resort

It’s close to the airport. The beach is amazing. Very clean and very friendly staff. A lot of food options. There is a water park and a great convenient/ souvenir shop on the main leave. There is also a great lobby area when you can hang up that’s close to a bar and you can smoke.

Fantastic resort

What an experience at the Riu Republica! We stayed Oct. 27 - Nov. 3, 2018. Cannot say enough about the food, rooms, vast beachfront, seaweed free. Many resorts have had their beachfront washed away with erosion. The beaches and pools were well maintained. Never had anything to complain about. Would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting an Adults Only vacation.

Amazing resort

Loved it....Beautiful resort. Lots to do, you can relax or there is a lot of different activities to do. Lots of delicious food options. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The beach is fantastic. Good beach for walking. Weather was fantastic...great vacation!!!!

Best Resort

Been to this resort twice in 2018 May and October we love this Resort because it’s super clean food is amazing rooms are very spacious and the beach is wide long and clean not too mention the many cabanas and lounge chairs at the beach to go around . This resort is well staffed and most of them speak English. They are super friendly and we really enjoyed the night entertainment shows. Must mention no mosquitoes at either time we were there. Couple's Getaway

We stayed at the Riu Republica, Punta Cana, from Oct 11-21st. Resort was nice, grounds were immaculate. Our room was great, we stayed in room 2080. Food was good, never went hungry. The Italian was the best restaurant there. Buffet had plenty of selection. Staff wasn't overly friendly, but we made the best of it. Maid service lacked even with $2 USD tips daily. Amazing resort!!!

This resort was absolutely amazing from the food to the entertainment and the staff. I definitely recommend this all inclusive adults only resort. The only one complaint that i have was that our room only was cleaned in the late afternoon. So when coming back to the room after being at the pool or beach for most of the day we didnt have clean towels. Other than that, i was satisfied.

Can’t wait to go back

This was the best all inclusive I’ve ever been too and I travel a lot. Resort was clean, modern and staff very friendly. Plenty of activities to keep you busy if you want or lots of space to just relax and unwind . Loved the 24 hr sports bar so if you still wanted to stay up after the disco closed you could . Food was excellent and there were many restaurants to choose from so you didn’t eat the same thing day after day. We are already planning on our next trip back . 5 stars all around!

I travelled here in September and couldn't have had a better vacation. We asked for and recieved a free upgrade to a courtyard view room where we could see the nightly theatre entertainment from our bedroom balcony (the theatre shows end by 11pm so that wasn't a noise disturbance concern for us because we slept around midnight/1am). The nightclub opens at 11pm. It's a small but fun enough place to hangout. The purpose of our trip was to swim, eat good food and relax, so we didn't care to [... read more]o much for the party aspect. However, we did check out the Saturday evening foam party, which was so well done with the music, a very talented saxophonist who played against top 40 instrumentals, and of course, a dance competition that was perhaps a tad inappropriate for some of the more mature crowd (50+) that makes up a large part of this resort's clientele. The food and service was impeccable throughout, minus the Italian restaurant, which served slightly overcooked/dried looking meat. It wasn't a huge issue for us, as we simply hopped over to the excellent buffet and ate there that night. The asian, spanish, and kulinarium east were our favourite specialty restaurants. The indian restaurant appetizers were excellent and the entrees were okay. We didn't get sick, in fact we had no issues with the ice, water or food anywhere on the resort. Everything is kept spotless, which is especially impressive considering this is by the beach and sand could easily and quickly build up. However, the cleaning staff is ever-present and works extremely hard to keep even the pool washrooms spotless. Please tip the wait and cleaning staff generously as they truly deserve it with the backbreaking work they do! The waterslides were a lot of fun but do be careful if you're claustrophobic or scared of steep slides. The party pool had top 40 music and there were at least 4 or 5 much larger pools that were quieter/more relaxation-oriented. We enjoyed relaxing and listening to the top 40 by the party pool, which is generally very tame and nothing crazy. However, on our second last day, a huge group of mature nudists arrived at the resort. These 50 to 60 year old women were topless at the party pool and beach and it was very random and strange for us to see. Even a lot of the men were uncomfortable, especially considering these women weren't young or attractive. We ended up leaving the party pool because it became this strange mature nudist environment, which we weren't prepared for nor interested in being around. This was the only negative but we just moved away from them and it was fine. The resort's guests are mainly couples who are middle- aged/retired or in their late 20s to 30s. If you're a group of singles looking to meet other singles, I'm not sure this is the place to do it. We went simply to relax, enjoy the beach, and eat good food, so this resort met our needs. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

Resort like no other

This resort is absolutely amazing! they have so much entertainment and always so much food on hand to serve. they also take all inclusive to another level. if entertainment is away from a bar they will set up a table with alcohol and ensure you never far away from boo's. their beach was so clean and so calming.

Great people, great place!

The resort was excellent, food was great with a decent variety, enough to not have the same meal twice through the week. The rooms were very modern, no bugs. There are frosted windows looking the shower from the main room though so if that's not your thing beware. No room service was a drag after missing dinner one night. Maccao is the best bar, real nice atmosphere and some of the best bartenders around in Joaquin, Isabel, and Noel! They seriously went above and beyond! As honest as it gets...

The hotel itself was lovely, the grounds were extremely clean and the rooms were modern and comfortable. The highlight of the trip was definitely the beach, one of the nicer ones we have been to. However there are a few things: 1) The workers speak minimal english, and aren't as friendly as other countries/ resorts. 2) The food, like many other Caribbean all-inclusive resorts, is lower quality and will get repetitive. It is by no means terrible, however don't expect fine dining. 3) This reso [... read more]rt has a very large European population, with the majority being smokers. If you are trying to quit, or don't like cigarette smoke, be warned. The non-smoking areas are very small in the outdoor theatres.

Great place and staff

This resort was absolutely entertaining and a lot of fun!! Great people. Age group was anywhere from young 20's up to seniors - majority being mid 30's. Overall the resort was well kept. The grounds looked great especially at night! They have 4 pools all together - 2 are swimup bars which get really crazy at times but fun. The food was very good overall. Punta Canada!!!

Very popular resort among Canadians, which is great because we are quite friendly if I do say so myself. Resort had everything we wanted and more, popular place for young adults. Staff was exceptional and practiced great hygiene with readily available hand sanitizers near dining halls, ensuring straws were not contaminated and that we had plenty of bottle water and alcohol whenever we needed. Alcohol was not watered down like at most all inclusive resorts. The food was amazing as we did not have [... read more] to make any reservations for the a la carte restaurants and they had 7 to choose from! Normally I get sick and tired of the buffet but I loved the options their breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet had. Would definitely visit Riu Republica again and I am so glad my friend recommended it to me because I am definitely passing the love for this resort forward :)

Good resort but not 5 stars

Riu Republica is a good hotel for your vacations but if you know about a real All-Inclusive 5 stars resort in the Caribbean Sea... this is not for you. My 4 stars qualification is about rooms, restaurants and food, entertainment and night life, liquor on the bars, and specially for service.
