A very kids friendly resort

The food is good and room is very clean. The air conditioner is strong. The swimming pool is clean as well. My kids loved the water park so much and it is very safe.My kids love the program hold by Daisy club as well.

Better than I had expected!

From the moment we arrived at Ocean Riviera Paradise, everything was perfect. One of our two rooms was ready early so we did not have to wait to change clothes or anything. The staff were awesome and always happy to see us. Booking excursions was so easy and they always had great deals. By day 4 or 5 my group had a chat about what we did or didnt like about the resort. We decided that we wouldn't change a thing. Despite the few negative reviews, we weren't approached even once about timeshares o [... read more]r priveledge. All in all it was a great trip and an excellent deal. 5/5 on all aspects.

Loved this resort!

This resort is beautiful. The grounds are very well manicured the rooms are nice and kept very clean. The food and drinks were delicious. There is lots of variety and selections to choose from. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. This has definitely been one of the nicest resorts I’ve stayed at. I would love to go back there again.

Second time around just as good as the first!

We have visited this resort twice this year and both times were amazing. The beach isn't as good as other places like punta cana and varadero but the rest makes up for it. We love the layout of this resort, very easy to get around without confusion. We were booked in the el beso section both times and would highly recommend it if you are travelling without kids. The food was the best we had at a resort in the Riviera Maya. If the price is right next year, we will probably be returning .

Funtastic Resort!

We had a blast at the resort, lots of activities to keep u busy, the shows are very entertaining, & you'll never be bored. Staffs r pretty friendly especially Daniel aka bartender in the Piano bar gives u the best service & drinks! Food r delish in all the restaurants just make sure u book for the Japanese restaurant in advance & also recommend the Italian & steak house. Yummo! Overall great experience!

Amazing family vacation

We really loved our time at the resort.Our kids loved the ice cream shop, theater shows and bowling. The buffet was good and the restaurants delivered without required reservations. Clean and great service!

Amazing Resort

Rooms are big and georgous Food was amazing Bar staff served you at pool side and on the beach Wonderful nightly entertainment Grounds well groomed This place has everything....even monkeys Layout of resort is well done, gives you the feeling of strolling along a street.

Ocean Riviera Paradise

We were very please with Ocean Riviera Paradise resort it was very clean the food was amazing the grounds were very well kept I would go back again we were in the adult building & the adult pool beautiful the beach is very nice also

A very clean and well-maintained Resort. The staff were very friendly. The food at the buffet was delectable, as was the Italian and Japanese restaurants, although some of the other restaurants need work. The menu at the Seaside Restaurant was especially disappointing. The thing I found most frustrating about this Resort, was the lack of information regarding the children's activities. At one point we were told about an activity that was supposed to happen, we showed up and it didn't happen. The only reason we knew what happened was sadly we looked up and there was foam floating to the air. My children were very disappointed. Great resort!

Our hotel was really nice, and in the adult only section right beside the pool. Staff was very friendly and willing to help with anything. The layout of the resort was great, although the beach was quite far from our hotel. The breakfast buffet only opened at 6:30 am and we left at that time. It would’ve been nice to have a small breakfast before leaving. The water pressure on the jacuzzi was slow, but not a deal breaker, you just need to think ahead before wanting to use the jacuzzi. Great new resort!

We went with a group of 8 people, everyone from our group loved the resort! The rooms were nice and clean with a nice comfy king size bed. The bathroom had 2 sinks (Great for 2 people to get ready) and a nice rain head in the shower! We were in the adult section by the adult pool and buffet - the building closest to the lobby. Everyone enjoyed the a la carte restaurants! They are first come first serve - except the Japanese a la carte you need to make reservations for. There were lots of pools to choose from as well as the beach. The beach was rocky, but if you walked down a bit we found a sandy spot to go in. Everyone loved the coffee shop! it was big and had a great selection. We went everyday after dinner before the shows -all of which were great! We also went to the disco which was fun if you wanted to stay up past 11pm. Route 66 is the late night snack restaurant which we would go to after the disco. The lobby was beautiful and a nice place to sit for a drink after the shows. We also went to the bowling alley one afternoon, that was lots of fun! And the ice cream parlour was good:) All in all we had a fabulous time and would go back!!

Really great place!

Was here for 7 days with a group of 8. Overall we had a great time. Couple downfalls were even with the seaweed issues the beach is rocky and service in the buffet is slow in terms of drinks and coffee. Best bet is to get someone's attention before you sit down. The food was delicious everywere we ate. Coffee at Mike's is awesome. The ice cream shop was a nice add. We watched most shows and again they were quite good! Terrible resort do not waste your money

very expensive for very little,,, rude staff,,,rooms paper thin,,, time share harrassment,, poor repetetive food,,, beach rocky and very hard on feet..very loud music and screaming kids at the eden pool all day starting about 9 in the am

Amazing resort

Beautiful resort with awesome water park and great food. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are amazing. Privlege upgrade with two story roof top ocean view Georgous and the butler service a nice touch.

March break family Vacay

Had a great time. I have 3 kids aged 9,6 and 2. They all had a great time and the resort staff made them feel very included. The pools were great and the food was good. Entertainment team was fun and full of energy. The resort was very clean. Would I book again?? Absolutely!!!

Good family destination

This resort is a half hour bus ride from the airport and a 15 minute cab ride ($18.00 US) north of Playa Del Carmen. The resort itself is well laid out with all shopping, entertainment venues and restaurants at one end; pools and beach on the other end. All are accessed by a cement "road" that runs through the center of the property and is serviced by a hop on - hop off shuttle on a frequent basis. The property is very clean, however there is limited vegetation and with all the cement and gla [... read more]ss of the new buildings and the cement "road", it feels like walking through a mall instead of a tropical paradise. The rooms were very spacious with more than enough closet /drawer space. The bathrooms, also very spacious had a super walk -in rain shower area. We were on the ground floor in the Daisy section with the garden view and in addition to a large covered patio with 2 wicker chairs + table and hanging basket chair, we had a large private grass area with a double lounger. The kids loved the garden view as they could see monkeys and "mexican raccoons" all day long. The biggest disappointment here is the beach. Do not enter the water without water shoes. With the exception of a small sliver of water next to the roped off area for jet skis, there are rocks everywhere and every day people were cutting their feet. Although not the fault of the resort, the entire Mayan coast is currently being plagued by excessive amounts of seaweed. The staff, collecting it in huge piles and burying it in the sand, was unable to keep up with the sheer volume. There is no lack of good food or drinks at any time of the day and accessible all over the resort. A common complaint however was how the resort handled reservations for the specialty restaurants. A favorite destination was the Japanese restaurant, which required you to line up on the day of your reservation, between 11:00 and 1:00 to reserve. We tried 3 times (getting in line by 10:30) and found that by 11:20 all the time slots were taken. We actually got into the Steak House one night - lined up at 6:30, were given a buzzer and sat by the neighboring pool patio for 1 1/2 hours until our buzzer went off and we were ushered in. (FYI - not a great steak and there were several tables available). All in all, this resort is a 4 star and I would recommend it to anyone that does not have the budget for some of the massive 5 star resorts throughout the Mayan.

Beautiful resort!

The resort and its staff was just about as close to perfect as you can get. The food was amazing, the rooms were spotless and the staff were always smiling, polite and courteous. The resort is quite large but spread out, so you never feel like it's crowded or busy at any time. The only thing I didn't like was the time share salesmen pressure, but that is only in the lobby area and they respect when you say no. We will definitely go back again

Great Resort

This resort was clean and well kept. The food was delicious and there was a good variety of restaurants. They have a coffee shop for your morning latte and an ice cream shop too. We could easily get a chair with shelter at the pool, but it was tough to get a shelter at the beach, they were usually taken, so go early. The water was great for swimming, but there is seaweed on the beach. The hotel tries to clean the beach everyday, but the seaweed just keeps coming! I learned how to make sushi, did Zumba and yoga on the beach, saw some good shows, went bowling, played pool volleyball, and everyday they had activities and competitions in the pool area. Service was good, rooms were clean. There is lots of walking on the resort because it is built perpendicular to the ocean, which is nice when you spend the week eating and drinking by the pool!!! They are very stingy with the beach towels...you only get one and you have to exchange it for a clean one, everyday and return it at the end of your stay to get a card back for check out or they charge you $100. It would be better if you could get a couple of towels, one to sit on, one to dry off, one for the beach etc. but we managed.

Great resort

The staff, food and grounds were amazing !!! Best food I have eaten in Mexico My only one complaint they didn’t stock the coffee or face clothes in the room about 2 days in. For a big resort there was never a line up or a crowed pool

Awesome!

Clean, lots to do, great variety in food and restaurants. Loved the pool table, bowling alley, and ice cream! We stayed for two weeks in the Eden building. View of beach, jungle, and pool. Added touches were great, water pressure, slow close toilet seat. Awesome. Lol
