Friendly staff. Clean resort. Mgt staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. Very safe secure site. Jen, Eddy and Gm care about their customers and ensure they are happy. ARnold, Banessa, David, Jennifer great waiters. Richard on security is the best security guy and the happiest.

Mayan Princess Beach Resort: Perfect holiday at the Mayan Princess in Roatan.

The ground and public areas are beautiful. We stayed at the poolside tower which was large and very clean. In fact, the grounds are immaculate. The pool is lovely with running water falls. The turquoise ocean is spectacular as was the snorkelling. The only negative is the buffet - repetitive and dull. The a la cartes made up for the small buffet. Overall, a very relaxing vacation. Staff are super friendly.

Henry Morgan Resort: Petty Good Value

Amazing beach! Crystal clear water. Now I know why it is such a diving magnet. Excellent location. Hotel is basic but not too bad. Food was just OK. Rooms are rustic but clean and OK as well. Beds are good.

Henry Morgan Resort: Love Roatan West Bay

This was my 3rd time at Henry Morgan, I love where the hotel is situated but few things I don't especially like Meal hours are too short especially dinner from 6:30-8:30 if you show up at 8:15, there isn't much food left. Wifi should be free everywhere around the hotel and beach, FREE and not just in lobby.. Turquoise Bay Dive and Beach Resort: Excellent!

What a beautiful resort! If you're looking for diving or just R & R, this is the place. Resort very clean, beautiful beach and grounds, exceptional staff, and great food and drink choices. I would not hesitate to return (but would arm myself with a better bug repellent to ward off the sand fleas!)

Henry Morgan Resort: 3 stars resort

I have been there 3 times but most probably the last time. They have made changes to the beach area which does not make sense. You need to pass a now paying restaurant to get to the newly made but totally outdated bathrooms which has no lights and no mirror plywood floors with holes in it. Not to secure. Beach restaurant has no more grilled food and the bar is very restricted in what they serve. You need to go to the dark reception bar to get a decent drink. Absolutely no lights there either. Since I have been there a total of 5 weeks within 11 months the manager Gael told us we could have free wifi for 2 weeks (which is free everywhere else on the island.) It happened that he cut it off after 5 days. After talking again to this rude man we did not get it back. All other employees are extremely friendly. The rooms are nice and very clean. The location is one of the best in West Bay with an amazing beach. The dive shop is top of the line with friendly staff. We go there for diving. The dive master Lindey and other diving staff took care of us like VIP. I enjoyed my stay there vacation is a journey and I accommodate fast but they made changes for the worst. They really need to update their resort to meet the 2015 services we get from other resort. The owner is too concerned with his other "money pit" hotel Media Luna in the middle of nowhere to concentrate on Henry Morgan. He should make wiser decisions because it is a great place. These comments should not be taken as negative but as constructive. If things changes in the future I might consider going back there. I would recommend this hotel for divers but advise them first at what to expect.

Fantasy Island Beach Resort: I almost want to keep this place a secret!

This was our second trip to Fantasy Island and we are already looking forward to trip #3. If you are looking for a 5 star luxury resort with night life and partying then this place is not for you. But if you want to relax and enjoy the peaceful, beautiful beaches and natural surroundings then you will love it here. It is a small resort with approx 100 rooms, all with ocean view. Media Luna Resort: Beautiful Resort

Resort is in a very pretty setting with lots of tropical trees and flowering bushes. Public areas are very clean and welcoming. Individual cabins are well appointed and very private with large decks and furniture to relax in. Dining room quite breathtaking with a large theater style. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. Nice cove with good snorkeling and a good dive operation on site.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: 2 weeks is not enough

We love the resort everywhere we turn. The room is so spacious and very clean. The staff in the restaurant are like friends and we love everyone there. Niki, Marlon, Darlon, Harris, Francisco, the chefs Walman, the bartenders... Most of all we love the GM, Rick. He is one of a kind special. We have been to many 5-star resorts and we thought we like quiet and privacy. Turned out, we also love the friendliness of the guests and befriended so many of them. We have been to Infinity Bay 3 times now and we have seen better sea life than when we scuba. Although the Scuba Team is excellent here as well. There is so much to do and the beach is so lively. We will definitely keep coming back.

Mayan Princess Beach Resort: 7th year

This is my 7th consecutive visit to Roatan and the 6th stay at Mayan Princess. I return to the island each year because of the beautiful beach and the warm people. Cons: all inclusive buffet and the rooms are pretty outdated. Pros: The people, West Bay Beach, the a-la-cartes are great and the staff are amazing, especially Dalecia who does an amazing job each and evey day cleaning our room. I will return next year!

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: The best snorkelling and diving!

The location of this resort was absolutely perfect for snorkelling and diving. There was a great stretch of white, sandy beach to walk along and just a quick swim to miles of spectacular coral reefs. The resort itself was basic with limited amenities and only one restaurant available with average quality food. I didn't like paying extra for outdoor eatery. The staff was great, though. Overall a good experience.

Villas Telamar: Nice and quiet

Nice resort and beach with great food. Don't be fooled by the misleading information by Sunwing and pay extra for a balcony room because they all have balconies. The rich locals come in on the weekends and take over the place.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Great Room, Great Beach

Just spent the last week at this resort. It's smaller than other resorts we've been to in Mexico and Cuba - less choice in the buffet and no night time entertainment - and that's a great selling point! This is a more quiet location with plenty to do either at the pool (nice sized) or beach (plenty to do during the day) or nearby (highly recommend Gumbalimba park + zip line). If you're looking for a more activity oriented crowd (especially divers) this is the place!

Fantasy Island Beach Resort: Fantasy Island Beach & Dive Resort

Dates: Feb 16 - Mar 1 2015 The Positives: - Spacious room, comfortable bed, large safe, good sized closet and bureau - location was great, for an quiet, beach/dive vacation. Nice water access, and the natural reef kept the surf away. We didn't do any snorkeling, but others we met did, and said it was good. and I saw some great pics from those folks. - Diving is the real reason to go to Fantasy Island. Onsite dive shop was top notch; friendly, spacious boats, qualified staff. We loved the all  [... read more]inclusive dive option, as that gave us the flexibility to dive when we wanted, without any fuss (just be on time for the boat departure, and you're in ) - tasty food, but as others mentioned, fewer choices than what you'd see at a 5 Star resort. Since this isn't a 5 Star, we were not disappointed. We were well fed. - smaller resort, means fewer guests, which is a bonus for us. The ability to catch up with the same folks over the two weeks we were there meant we made some new friends, and had lots of laughs. It also means there was never a shortage of chairs on the beach, and we were always able to finds sun/shade depending on our desires; even on the days some cruise guests came to enjoy the beach/snorkelling. - Friendly serving staff, and front desk was efficient. The grounds crew worked like mad men, to keep the beach clean and raked. With several days of very significant sargassum deposits blowing it, that was no small feat! sargassum Room for improvement/other things to note: - I never have 'tummy' troubles when on vacation, but on this trip I had some. Nothing that held me down long, but my partner did on a couple of days, and others we spoke to also had some days of discomfort. I narrowed my trouble down to the salad bar. My guess is it was the creamy salad dressings, rather than the veggies. Although it's hard to say. We are not big drinkers, as we dove most days, so it wasn't alcohol related, to be sure. We heard that there had been a considerable amount of staff turnover at this resort in the recent weeks, so I speculate it's a lack of training on safe food-handling somewhere in the kitchen staff. - If you are sensitive to bug bites, be sure to bring bug spray for the sand fleas on the beach, and something for the itch (antihistamine) , because you will likely get bitten some. Mosquitos don't bother me much (hey, I'm a Manitoban!) but the sand fleas did catch me. - There is little entertainment in the evening, so you need to make your own fun (see small resort above) There were a few bonfires in the early evening, and some cultural dancing, plus recorded music or Karaoke in the snack bar most evenings for those who are inclined. Not our thing, so can't comment much. - Although the locals from the Island all pretty much speak English (this is a former British colony, after all), many of the hotel staff come from the mainland, where English is not as widely spoken. Expect some occasions when having some Spanish will facilitate your communication with staff. Everyone works very hard to be pleasant, and fulfill your wishes, so this isn't really a problem, but is just something to know. Overall, we had read the reviews before we booked, and as usual tossed out the really bad, and had a good idea what sort of property we had booked. We were not disappointed, at all. I loved the 'cottagey' feel of the place,with the wood floors on the open air verandah, and the white painted railings. There is sea view from pretty much anywhere you park yourself, and cool breezes. If you book this resort expecting a 3 star, low-key, quiet place, you will not be disappointed.

Anthony Key Resort: great for divers

This is a place for divers and snorkellers. With that in mind, it is a great choice. The diving operation runs well and the sites are reasonably well preserved, with lots of coral and fish. The shark dive costs extra, but it is totally worth it. The hotel itself is OK, food is very good and the staff is unbelievably friendly and accommodating. This was our second time at AKR, and we'll probably be there again next year.

Media Luna Resort: Great snorkelling!

We arrived at Media Luna with high exceptations for our two week vacation. Overall, we were pleased with our visit. The highlights were the excellent snorkelling, beautiful landscape, wonderful and delightful staff. We did need to realign our exceptions regarding the food but the dining room is stunning and the food did improve throughout the time. Although the resort isn't very old, there seems to be a lot of maintenance needed as the humid jungle climate takes its toll on buildings featuring a [... read more] lot of wood. The cabanas are a lovely concept, but needed upgrading. For example, no exhaust fans in bathrooms which hold the dampness. Walkin showers look great but water splashes and runs over all the floor. Sink fixtures are corroded,cracks in sinks, no towel racks. Repairs and upkeep would vastly improve an otherwise great space. I can't say enough about the staff......overall very personable, helpful and wanting to please. They do not expect tips but are very grateful, and believe me, they need them. If you make an effort to remember their names, they will return the courtesy and always respectful. The animation team is sweet, talented and genuinely lovely young people working hard all day to make sure you are enjoying your stay. JC, the Air Transat rep is the most devoted, caring and special rep I have encountered on my travels. He went above and beyond to problem solve, research and make things happen. The Air Transat is extremely lucky to have him representing them. As the resort is not very big, it provides a great venue for meeting fellow travellers. We chatted to people from Brazil,Italy, Central America and Canada. Remember to bring deet products and diligently apply every day.....you are on the edge of a jungle and the insects are ever present .

The young staff were amazing, most engaging, genuine and personable. Housekeeping exceptional and enjoyed added touches each day ex towel animals... Asked for extra blanket and delivered to room within 30 mins.

Henry Morgan Resort: Hidden Gem in Paradise

Henry Morgan was everything that we were expecting and more.This resort is smaller than we have stayed at in previous locations.We went to Roatan looking to get away from the Industrial,Commercialized resorts,we found it here really simple and rustic charm.The rooms are comfortable and clean,the food offers something for everyone.The staff are excellent,they work very hard in every aspect.The beach is awesome,snorkeling and diving Paradise.The ocean is crystal clear and calm,great for swimming.Y [... read more]ou can walk the beach all the way into town for shopping,or take a water taxi instead.We will be returning to the Henry Morgan in the future,Its our hidden gem in Paradise.

Media Luna Resort: Beautiful Jungle and Seaside Resort

The grounds of this resort were well kept. We loved that we had our own cabana so no one was right on top of us. The peace and quiet of the resort made it a very relaxing vacation. All of the staff were excellent at their jobs. I would recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing and quiet vacation. Not somewhere to go if you are looking to party or have the nightlife.
