Deja Resort: great resort

This is a great small resort on the hip strip. Great food and awesome location.This was my 3rd stay at the deja but some staff seemed to have a bit of an attitude problem and a bit rude. The other two times i was there it was totally amazing.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great time!

My sister and I stayed at the holiday inn resort in Montego Bay. We absolutely loved it! The staff are very accommodating and friendly. We felt so welcome. I just want to thank Adriene at the front desk, Darnette our chamber maid and Tyrelle in maintainence for their outstanding professionalism. The food was very good and the nightly entertainment was outstanding. The beach area is small but comfortable. Our room was standard with two very comfortable queen beds. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Wonderful resort in Jamaica!

We just spent a wonderful week at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. What a great resort! Super clean, great restaurants (especially the steak house), and the staff were very friendly and helpful (with or without tips). We were travelling with my 88 year old mother who has difficulty walking and uses a walker. The resort had lots of ramps and it was very easy for her to get around, even on the beach. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing resort

The resort is beautiful, the room are very nice and the house keeping did a great job cleaning our room, the food was nice they had a lot of variety to choose from, the pool was great that’s where we spent most of our day swimming and drinking at the pool, the beaches was nice, the wedding day went great and it was beautiful, they did a great job putting the wedding together, the only thing that wasn’t that great was, when you call front desk for anything, they take a long time for them to b [... read more]ring you anything, for hours. The fight home sucks, we were stuck in a hot plane for two hours because of a malfunction to the plane. Overall we had a great time in Jamaica.

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing resort!

Beautiful resort, very clean. Great food. Amazing staff!!!!! Great pool lots of loungers. Only negative about the resort is the beach. Its small and water is not clear. Murky at times and bottom is quite slimy. I believe this is because the beach is man-made. So if you are a beach person then this resort is not for you

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Amazing family resort!

This was our first time in Jamaica, and won't be our last. We will come to this resort again! If you are looking for a great family spot , where the kids can stay entertained, this is the resort for you. The waterpark was a huge plus for us, as was our own private plunge pool on our terrace. Food was amazing, room was spacious enough for 4 of us with separate beds for the kids . Staff was friendly and accommodating, going above and beyond to make sure you have a good time.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Place

The whole place was lovely - including the grounds and beaches. Staff was great and we had a great time. Lots to do - the pool was absolutely marvelous!! Meals were good and the waiters and waitresses were very hospitable.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Amazing resort!!

This resort was fantastic! From the food to the grounds, even the people. Everything far exceeded our expectations!!! Literally nothing bad to say about our experience. The water park was just an added bonus to our already incredible vacation!

Catalonia Montego Bay: 3 star at most for jamaica

Smoking only permitted near lobby,cant even smoke on adult side.booked king bed checked into 2 double beds,didnt get king room till 3pm following day.most servers at resort wouldnt smile i realize it aint much fun working 6 days a week but smile at least.buffet was limited selection at best .beach was so shallow swimming was impossible.bartenders was hit or miss on service and miss was mostly what we got.only real good points were alcarte resturants.i highly recommend kenko and italian.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Grand Bahia

Loved this hotel. We just got home two days ago and we had a blast. The resort grounds were clean and beautiful. People on staff were friendly for The most part. Front desk staff could of been a bit more Friendlier. The hotel was very accommodating and we did NOT like our first room as we requested to be close to The kids water area. So they loved us closer. We are hoping to Book for October.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Perfect Getaway!!!

My husband and I just came back from our trip to Jewel Paradise Cove in runaway Bay. The hotel was simple but clean. The staff were incredibly hospitable and considerate. They really bent over backwards and helped us out alot!!! The views were amazing. There were so many things to do that were included. We highly recommend the snorkeling! Also there are lots of little areas to sit and take in the scenery in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The karaoke night was awesome. Also the beach party was  [... read more]so much fun. Riu Ocho Rios: Everything We were looking for! Fun, Beach, Food

I'll get straight to the point. If u describe this resort in 2 sentences I would say it was the perfect for for us becuase of the location, energy, and people. This is a fun RUI that has a gorgeous beach, great food (too much food!) and the travellers to this resort are looking for a positive vibe. Pros: Beach is gorgeous and one of the nicest compared to others in the same area. (no seaweed when I was there) Largeish resort but laid out so everything you want or need is close. Drinks ke [... read more]ep flowing, with decent liquor brands. Many bars within reach Staff is pleasant (a bit laid back becuase it's Jamaica! But happy to help.) Great location for excursions! (20 round trip to Dunn's River with a cab outside the resort.) Fun extras like paddle boarding and wind surfing, and a ton of games all day like corn hole and darts and fun relay races (entertainment staff work their butt off!) Great music all day Cons: Very dated rooms but clean. Pool could have cleaner water and be cleaner (was merky) A la carts weren't overly impressive (becuase the buffet had so much variety!) Luxury side with better rooms were nicer, but farther away from the fun so a con for us. But might be nice for people who want more quiet. Entrainment at night quiet amateur compared to Mexico or Cuba. (great mj show but he's not our "thing") Takes a full 2 hours for us to actually get their from the airport.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Not to be repeated

Service was very bad. Reservations are not required in the restaurants but every night we were told that it would take an hour and a half to find a table even though you can see empty tables. But I’m sure that if a sizeable Tip was offered the data table would be available immediately. Man-made beach at the hideaway and if you wanted a better beach you had to upgrade to platinum. Anything you had to buy like Tylenol or Band-Aids were priced at unreasonable multiples of the average cost any oth [... read more]er places. Nowhere else in the area to buy any conveniences so you had no choice but to pay what they asked. The spa was unreasonably overpriced for example regular massage for 50 minutes was approximately $200 US. Male staff was very helpful and friendly but the female staff had a terrible attitude and we’re very rude. The music was very loud all over the resort and they would repeat the same annoying songs every day. Grand Palladium Jamaica: Amazing!!!

Great resort....food was great, everyone there was phenomenal, and very friendly. Rooms were clean, grounds were clean. All in all we had an amazing time, so much to see and do. The kids had a great time.

Hotel and grounds was well kept. Food was amazing this was one of the best top five hotel i stay at Would stay here again and the staff was friendly helpfull. I have no complain what so ever My trip was great.

Grand Pineapple Beach: Loved the Resort

I loved the location of the resort – the beach side that is. I wasn’t aware that the “Garden Side” of the resort was across the street where the pool was. Obviously with the beautiful ocean in front of me, I had no desire to swim or hang around the pool. Needless to say, I never checked out that part of the resort. Security Guards at both sides of the resort are equipped with Stop signs to assist all guests across the street. I knew going into this resort that it was a three-star re [... read more]sort so my expectations were not high. My main reason for choosing the resort was the location. You have SEVEN miles of gorgeous beach to walk up and down and everything along the street to choose from. Mini grocery stores, restaurants, clubs and a duty-free plaza. Everyone on the street are very friendly and cabs are always going up and down. We had an issue with the room we were in initially because it backed onto the street – way too noisy to sleep. The next day the manager, Daniella Pons, was extremely helpful in finding us another room to our liking. Food was okay – alcohol was okay (except the 11am to 11pm timeframe), when entertainment groups were available – they were great, the staff was excellent – always attentive and remember our names. I highly recommend this resort for the seasoned traveler who is not that fussy and loves to mix and mingle with the people of the area. The resort just needs a little bit more refinement but with refinement comes an increase in price and I'd hate to see that. Looking forward to another return visit.

Beautiful Hotel, loved everything about it. Staff is very friendly, grounds are very clean and well maintained, loved the food, restaurants are great, Loved the pool, good entertainment. Loved the beach. Beautiful rooms. Overall, awesome Resort.

Melia Braco Village: Melia Braco

This was our 5th visit to Braco, 4 times when it was Grand Lido Braco and first as a Melia .....we were assigned room 811 it was to say the least a major disappointment we had booked the premium Oceanfront and it was nothing like on the website. We got in late our first night so I thought I would deal with the room in the morning. We awoke around 4 in the morning as the air conditioner was not working at all, I called down and was told they would send someone around 7:30 in the morning.....need [... read more]less to say we did not sleep well the rest of the night. I went down approximately 7 am and asked to be placed in another room, after a bit of an exchange I was told to come back at noon as they would try to find me another room. Went back at noon and they were still working on it and was told to come back around 3. Went back at 3 and was told to go to my room and they would call me when the room next door was cleaned and while we were waiting, again the air conditioner stopped again. Finally we were moved next door to 812 and unpacked. So we spent our first day on vacation running around I was not impressed. The food was ok the Asian restaurant was the best. The restaurants were not always open, they would close 2 and have 3 opened this was disappointing. Most of the staff were very efficient and cheerful I have always enjoyed Jamaica and this was our 8th visit to the island and will be back but not to Melia Braco unfortunately.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Beautiful resort.

We went here for a wedding and love this resort. This is a large resort but very easy to navigate. The grounds, buildings, etc. are beautiful and very well maintained. The gazebo used for the actual service overlooked the ocean and was breathtaking. The rooms are large with a separate bathroom that my husband and I could use at the same time to get ready. Coffee pot did not work but was replaced immediately when reported. Room cleaned daily. Food was excellent with a great variety at [... read more] the buffet restaurants. Loved the Mexican restaurant. Did find service a little slow. At the Italian restaurant left after waiting over an hour and half for our food. Other wedding party members went another night and service was good. Was not happy with the check in as we waited well beyond the 3:00 pm time frame. Did not end up in the same building as the rest of the wedding party but given the option if we wanted to wait longer. Finally given a room around 5:30 and we were happy with the location. Stayed in building 27, room 2704. Loved having access to 3 different beaches. Did not have enough chairs at one time but staff provided the additional chairs needed. The pool area was beautiful with lots of chairs. I only went to one show however my husband went to several and enjoyed all. They did have an elevator at the main lobby which gave you access to the lower level and ramps to access the beach area. It was a hit and miss with staff but overall friendly. Hats off to Daniel Rickette and Kemar Lakeman for aerobics and games and Sashane Williams who was always a delight at the infinity bar ad the nightly show. On our list of resorts to return to but earlier in the season as April was quite humid.

I loved this resort. I honestly couldn't say enough good things. The food was excellent, the service was okay but they do base service based on tips which I hate and will not participate in. The resort, in general, is so beautiful, amazing pools, the beach is fantastic. They do however, need to supply blankets and fitted sheets as these were nowhere to be seen during my stay
