Barcelo Maya Colonial: Awesome trip!

The hotel was perfect for the 5 adults and three children. Amazing from start to finish. Highly recommended for families! The only downfall is that the resort is 50 mins from the airport. This didn't bother us but it might not be for everyone.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great Time, Nice Hotel

The Tropical is part of a larger, 5 hotel resort, 4 of which are open to guests. The Palace is not open to guest who are not staying at the a Palace. We have been to the Tropical many times and always enjoyed it. This time was very crowded (end of June, kids out of school), and I would avoid this week, if possible. A few weeks earlier had a much lower occupancy rate. It is extremely hot and humid at this time of year, although the AC worked great. Food was good, staff was wonderful.

Allegro Cozumel: 3 families in Cozumel

The hotel is very nice. The gardens are incredibely well Maintained. The rooms are nice and up to date. One of the best beach in Cozumel. Near all activities. As for the area for improvement, we were a group of 21 and 7 persons were sick. There are birds eating the food in the buffet and the staff does nothing. Bad choice of music in the buffet in the morning. Should be more relax. The food for lunch is always the same.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Very nice resort

The resort was beautiful, beach and ocean wonderful, Japanese restaurant was the best......breakfasts were wonderful, every thing at the buffet was very good, Drinks were good, the weather was great what more could you ask for,,,,We loved it but do refer a smaller resort as in walking around from areas, but had a great time at the wedding it was a wonderful set up on the beach and beautifully decorated room for the wedding, food was great,,,over all would highly recommend it...Karen Brisbois

Occidental Caribe: Not impressed

The beaches were stunning, strong currents so had to be cautious when going in water. The resort it self was certainly disappointing. Had an upgraded room and have no idea what was upgraded. Water trickled out of shower. More pressure in the sink tap. Beach towels and room towels were an issue, never knew if you would get them. Fridge never stocked from day to day. Barcelo Solymar: Awsome party resort

Was amazing !!! Good temeperature and lots of fun !! Service was tops !! Amazing food for cuba , amazing night life will go back very shortly !! Also easy booking with this travel agency thank you!! Cant wait to re book!!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Overall the best hotel we stayed

Check in took 3 hours and we did arrive at noon so it wasn't a pleasant start but the rest was very good. We didn't have a chance to watch the shows at night as we have a little one but the amenities are excellent. The best restaurant was the steakhouse for sure but even the buffet was excellent food. Beach was very weedy in March not sure if it's a all year thing. Resort is ridiculously huge and lots for kids all ages to do. Overall was a very good experience. Would come back for sure!

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Love Barcelo Maya

The Barcelo Maya is a huge resort with one of the greatest beaches on the Mayan Riviera. Staying in the Caribe section was a great choice. It is close to good pools, best beach area, the Maya Mall, buffets... Room was very comfortable and well maintained. Food was good with a lot of choice. All service is friendly and professional. Barcelo Maya Caribe: Barcelo Maya Caribe a Family Best Bet

This resort is just a fabulous place to bring a family. There are a lot of fun play areas for children who love water. The beach is spectacular. Rooms were very comfortable, with great showers that had lots of hot water and great water pressure. Bedding was very nice. Good maid service and mini bar service. Food at the resort was good with a lot of choices and many that were geared for kids. Bar service was very good. Easy place to get to all the attractions in the area and also to Playa del Carmen.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Children fan

Perfect for family with children,service good,room perfect.we have absolut no proablem.dayli beer and the rest vas stock in to the mini bar.food vas OK. but not to much variety,to go in to the see you have to pass 4 feet of roacs. Exelent fly with aer transat.frendly people.I recomand this resort for family with children under 10 years.

Barcelo Solymar: Not amazing resort

Main building “Solymar” (not bungalow) The resort has problems with the supplied materials and this is not Cuban problem but the hotel chain management problem: remote control and coffee cups in the rooms were missing and were not provided after the formal communication with the room service. The explanation is that they do not have enough. The conditioners were malfunctioning. There were some drainage problems in the bathroom. No information about the resort during the check-in. No inform [... read more]ation in the room on where and how to call, including how to call the reception. The building (five stories not open like a patio) has no smoking policy and no smoking signs everywhere; however, people smoke everywhere: under the signs “no smoking”, in the elevators, in the lobby bar, on the floors. The fume and smell are everywhere in the building and in the rooms. Reception is overloaded and cannot service properly since they are understaffed. Additional three people and couple more computers could help to provide the proper service. Waiting forever with simple questions just to have an opportunity to ask is a normal thing. Cultural aspect of Spanish speaking visitors biased the service of the personnel (reception, bars …) towards the favor to those Spanish speaking guests. How those mentioned guests, or some groups of those guests behave in some numerous cases in various places is another topic to consider, if you care about the quality of your stay or vacation. Do not be naïve about nice Cubans. They will be nice for your dollars, otherwise be prepared for the cold reception, especially if you do not speak Spanish.

Barcelo Solymar: BARCELO SOLYMAR - VARADERO, June/2017

This is a very busy hotel, lots of youngsters and loud parties. Room service is OK, the quality of rooms is average (air conditioners did not work properly, clogged sink, a bit outdated, etc.). Food is fine (same as everywhere on Cuba, suggest to drink some alcohol to avoid sick stomach). The beach is stunning (long and wide white sand, and there are enough tents for everyone). Pools are clean, have special areas for children. In general, it was a good experience and a pleasant stay.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: FABULOUS RESORT & FRIENDLY EMPLOYEES

We had a great time at this hotel. This was not our first time to Varadero but was our first time at this hotel. We were able to see a lot of our old friends while there plus we made a lot of new ones.. Everyone of the employees were very accommodating and friendly. Plan to come back during the winter months with a few of our friends.

we found the resort the perfect place for all expectations (sports, relaxation, fun ambiance,younger and older crowds mix very well. The rooms were perfect, the air conditioning smelling like fresh air . The service was more than good it was excellent. The hotel reconcile me with Dominican Republic . I had super bad experiences in the past at different resorts and believe me i am not a complainer on vacations. We sometimes have to expect some little difficulties its part of the game but thi [... read more]s resort is one the best place i have experienced... the variety of the buffet could be improved but if you get tired of it try their restaurants a la carte. Delicious! I totally recommend this resort and if somebody find flaws with this place maybe staying home is the best solution! Also big MERCI! to trip central for their dedication. Barcelo Maya Tropical: Excellent value for a no frill vacation

The grounds are impeccablely maintained. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and the air conditioning is strong. The food at the buffet was fresh and delicious. It isn't fancy but you certainly will not go hungry. There is a something for everyone. We didn't go to the a la carts because the buffet was so varied and fresh. The drinks are strong and tasty. The shows were entertaining. Above all the service was incredible. I will absolutely be back to barcelo maya tropical

Allegro Playacar: Beautiful Beach and location!

We stayed at this resort at the beginning of June. The weather was extremely hot and humid and we had some heavy rainfall during the week. The resort is on a beautiful stretch of the beach and close enough to walk into Playa del Carmen (25 minutes). The grounds of the resort is very beautiful and tropical. Many birds can be seen and heard. The thatched roofs of the "bungalows" were unique and lends to the tropical feel but were not very practical since some of the roofs leaked during the hea [... read more]vy rainfall including the unit we stayed in. We were moved to another unit but the bedding configuration was not what we initially had and requested so this meant another room changed 2 days later. Miscommunication from the front desk was the cause of the delay which was inconvenient for us to live out of our suitcases for 2 days. The standard rooms were on the small side with no dresser and only 2 small shelves in the closet for your clothes. There was a safe for valuables. The renovated glass enclosed shower gave good water pressure and air conditioner worked well. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Overall the staff were friendly and courteous, there were various activities by the main pool or on the beach during the day. There were stretching on the beach to cooking shows to bingo. The majority of the activities were family oriented. It seems that most guests were Spanish speaking the week we were there. Lots of beach lounger at the 2 pools and on the beach. No problems with towel exchanges. Initially we found the food at the buffet was below our expectations mainly because of the mass production and having to keep the food warm as the dinner and lunch opening hours were very generous, example lunch was available from noon to four p.m. however we always found items to try and and enjoy. We did not encounter any stomach problems but we avoided the salads but enjoyed all the various delicious fruits served. The Mexican and Italian a la carte restaurants meals were very good although the menu descriptions of the foods differed somewhat from what we actually received. Very good service at the buffets. Overall we had a relaxing enjoyable week at the Allegro Playacar.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Cheap and cheerful

Walk to town, friendly guests. Don't choose this resort for modern amenities, great service or great food. Choose it for the amazing fun atmosphere, short walk to town, best beach, great amenities that are actually used. I couldn't ask for a better vacation.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Fantastic trip!

Nothing negative to say about the Barcelo. We booked with Karol and he has been nothing but fantastic in terms of service and everything else. The resort itself is breathtaking. Big enough for you to explore all day long. So many things to do. Food, rooms and service were all impeccable!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Beyond Expectations

I was pleasantly surprised. We went on a Weds to Weds late May, not too busy. Adults only. We arrived before the rooms were ready, our luggage was taken care of with no worries. We went straight to the buffet. The buffet had a great variety of diverse foods, we ate shrimp, squid mussels every day. The a la cart restaurants were fabulous. I had lobster 4 out of 7 nights no additional charge. As you can tell I'm a seafood lover. There was chicken, pork, beef you name it. Deserts were lovely  [... read more]and so many different options. The staff were friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean. the beach was superb. We brought cheap little floaties with mesh from Canadian tire they were a great enhancement for the ocean. The water was calm, the white beach sand soft on the feet. We went over to the Barcello Palace, it was loud and busy, we were happy to go back to our resort. There is lots to do. There is a little park near the convention centre, lots of Peacocks and a nice garden. The grounds are very clean. We had a great vacation and will definitely go back.

Occidental Tucancun: Relaxing resort for couples!

The grounds were kept extremely clean, the staff was really nice, not really rowdy and the plazas across the street was perfect for night time walks and dinner outside of the resort (for those that wanted a bit of variety). Limited food selection but couldn't complain about anything else.
