This resort is the civilized part of the 3-part Memories Resirts. It’s adukts only and you get a butler to boot! Rooms are modern and contemporary and the best of the last 10 resorts I’ve been to in Cuba.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Okay

So my review it’s a beautiful resort but the food is not great I had better the mosquitoes are awful the rooms I had a lot of problem with do not leave your room key beside any TV iPads iPhones any kind of phones or they won’t work otherwise it was a good but I won’t pay any higher than $1000 at this resort

Valentin Perla Blanca: Amazing Resort

It was our first trip to cuba and chose this resort due to the great price for 4.5 star. We loved every minute food wasn't as bad as we were told, the beach was amazing and staff was very nice. Room was clean and beautiful. We already agreed to come back next year if price was the same.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: We got spoiled!

The resort was not luxurious- but it was beautiful, clean, and quite perfect for me, my mom, two boys. The staff are so kind, and always went above and beyond anything we expected. The entertainment was awesome, and the planned activities for the kids were always a hit. I felt like my kids were safe at all times. The food wasn’t the greatest, but my kids still loved it- and we never went hungry. The beach was in a convenient location, and was the most stunning one I have ever seen.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful resort, great staff

My family & I just stayed at Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria for a week and it was wonderful. The layout of the resort is fantastic - everything connected in the middle of the grounds. We stayed in block 5 and we were literally a short walk across the pavement to the lobby/lobby bar and then on to the a-la-carte restaurants and then the buffet. The rooms were clean and spacious. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Decent value for price.

May 1-8 , 2018 stay Beach was as beautiful as expected with tons of shade available and lots of seashells to collect. Pools were nice and good temperature. Weather wasn't the best but May is the beginning of the rainy season in Cuba but the price we paid (under $1000 per person) was very reasonable. Rooms were basic with hard beds and leaky air conditioners but had fantastic, large walk in rain showers. Unfortunately maintenance and cleanliness was not the best here. I believe this i [... read more]s due to lack of funds and products for repairs and I can only assume that staff have not been trained to clean outside areas. It is a shame because seeing staff walk by broken glasses and not pick anything up for several days is not nice. There was a tourism event which included a beach party in front if the market area beside us and the next day the beach was covered with litter- especially empty plastic bags which I was told contained tshirts for attendees. Many of these ended up floating in the ocean. We picked as much up as possible but again... Sad that the workers from that event didn't clean up the mess and even sadder that tourism attendees left litter everywhere!!! Take care of the environment and the beautiful beach that Cuba offers. Buffet- not much variety and most food was slightly warm or cold but you could always find something to eat. I found the staff were pretty good and friendly. A la cartes- ridiculous system of waiting in line ups each day to reserve a table and I never saw more then 5 tables filled in each restaurant at a time. Menu options were very limited in every a la carte and at least 25% of items were "not available". Lol. Drink options- poor!!! Even a la cartes didn't offer more then the basic wine, beer, a few spirits. Had no clue what a margarita even was in the Mexican a la carte. Coffee shop was the best part of the resort and offered the best drinks. 24 hour snack bar wasn't open much at all. I guess off season means hours are dependent on the mood of the day. Flies were bad a few days we were there. A fogged went by once each evening but clearly, this time of year requires more fogging. Money exchange at the hotel- i exchanged money 4 times and the 2 times it was a guy, everything was fine, but there was a girl who messed up the exchange both times. Best case scenario, she's incompetent but I truely believe she purposely tried to scam me. She pushed the money at me and said thank you 3 times and was trying to rush me and I didn't go and counted that she shorted me 4 cuc. The next time, she counted the coins on the other side of the glass in piles of 5 and when she pushed it through, I started looking at it and she tried to pass off one pile of 5 coins as $1 cuc and they were actual $0.50 cuc coins. She stammered and said, oh someone put the coins in the wrong slot. However, it's odd that she counted 5 of the $0.50 coins in a pile and didn't notice. So,.... My advice is to count your money and look at each coin before you leave regardless of the line up! Bus trip there and back- good service and drivers. I wasn't overly happy with the resort but for the price, it was decent.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Great resort

Beautiful. Staff amazing and very helpful, the food was great, the grounds were very well kept , our room was wonderful and clean,, best of all the RainHead shower, in the walk-in shower. Would go back

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Resort is great

I love the layout of the resort. Block 19 is great if you have children. Get a ground floor your steps to the pool. The resort is fairly new but it does show wears and tears. The room is big and nice and bright. Only concern of the room is it didn’t feel as clean as I would like it there were visible stains on the decor pillows so unsure if they are washed or just tossed back on the bed but it makes it feel dirty. Never felt pushy or needed to tip each and every time although I did tip well I didn’t feel like I had to to get great service. The towel hut is never open so bring your own towels. We walked by multiple times a day and it was never open. The ice cream hut although says open daily 10-4 it is never open not once so that was disappointing. The food is ok it’s typical for Cuba it’s not great but it’s not terrible. Very repetitive and bland. The bank at the hotel couldn’t take credit cards for money a few days I was there because the line wasn’t working so plan to bring cash to exchange to be safe. There is no doctor on site it is a 5 peso cab ride there and 5 back but the clinic is very clean and they were very professional and helped us very quickly. The pools seem to have a lot of wear on them like rust stains and broken tiles which are cracked and sitting at the bottom of the pool they need a bad vacuuming. The kids club is great the girls there are awesome. If you get this resort for the right price then go because it is overal beautiful and a great valu but I wouldn’t pay more then say 850 per person you can get better for that or less.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Best Cuban Experience

At the front desk, we were greeted with a lovely glass of Cava when we got off the bus, very refreshing after travelling. Check in was quick and organized. They let us know that Customer Relations would be open in the morning. We were driven to our bungalow, electric cart, and our luggage carried up to our room. The rooms were clean, beds so comfortable, fresh linens and towels. Balconies, air conditioning was amazing, we called our room Canada. The chamber maid, Wendy, supplied us with lovely  [... read more]notes and towel art everyday. The snack bar had great burgers, chicken fingers and fries. Open 24 hours. The Customer Relations desk was amazing. This is where the resort truly shined. We were lucky to meet Yuniet. She helped us book our a la cartes for the week. Later we were having trouble with the Wi-Fi, and she guided us through getting set up flawlessly. She followed up with us almost daily to see how our stay was! For a bit of a fun on a showery day we decided to get manis and pedis. Yuniet made the appointments for us. We had the pleasure of meeting Leticia, who treated us very well. Since I have been back, I have had some fun showing off my nail jewellery, fluorescence flowers! It is one of the best buffets that I have ever been to in Cuba. The amount of food that was available was amazing. One day at lunch we even had sushi! The staff were amazing. The filling of glasses, wine and water, happened before you had time to think about asking. We mainly sat in the same area, so we came to know our servers quite well. Our favourite was Adrian, who as the week progressed, was switched to the lobby bar, which meant we saw him more often. All the servers at the buffet would stop by and say, “Hi!” to make sure everything was good! The Lobby Bar was spectacular. The first few nights all the evening entertainment happened there, (the theatre opened on one of our last nights there and it is top notch). We had magicians, dancers, and fashion shows. The service in the bar was amazing! As with the buffet, the servers would stop by to make sure we had everything we needed and chat for a few moments. The ongoing daily entertainment in the Lobby Bar was amazing. Singers, sax players, bands, piano players. Our two favourites were two Cuban ladies, (played at the buffet one night as well), and the guitar and violin duo. At the beach, we had no trouble getting shade. The beach drink service by Ryder, was great. The beach was beautiful white sand with lots of great shells to be found. We are not really pool people but the pools were beautiful. There was even a swim up bar. The A La Cartes were great food. They were all hosted in the French restaurant, (gorgeous), until our last night. On the last night, our meal was in the Ranchero Restaurant, which was beautiful. The food was great. The service in both restaurants was some of the best I have experienced. It was the best experience I have ever had in Cuba! I hope the hotel has an Employee Recognition Program, as the above mention employees did your resort proud. We were there while FITCuba was being hosted and your staff were up for the challenge. During the tourism fair, your staff were just as attentive to the guests as before it started.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Lots of room for improvement

Public restrooms were dirty, flooded with water, had no toilet paper or paper towels, stall doors did not lock or have locks on them. Food was medicare, both buffet (cold food was room temperature and hot items were cold). A la cartes were below average. Room did not have a deadbolt or chain lock. Most staff were not willing to answer questions or even entertain them at times. No shade or umbrellas at the pools. Grounds are lovely, room was moderately clean and spacious. Roc Lagunas del Mar: A resort I would highly recommended!!

This was our very first time in Cuba and it was truly amazing!! The rooms were so nice and clean. The staff were very friendly and most spoke very good english which helped. Now the beach, resort grounds and pool area were my favourite! All so beautiful and well kept it was amazing! The beach was so nice and sandy no rocks or anything. You could also snorkel right off the shore and it was literally a 2 minute walk to the beach from our room. The food was fairly decent, what was to be expected. However, if food is a big priority there are other resorts that have fancier meals, but other than that this is the resort for you. Also going the first week of May during the rainy season the weather forecast said rain everyday, but only one day it rained almost the whole day. Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Good

The resort is clean and well kept. We requested for 2 double bed but got a queen size bed.food and drinks are so so. The resort is too far from the airport, therefore wasted 2 hours by bus. The drinks are too bland and food are repeatitious.the beach is fabulous.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort

This was our fifth trip to Iberostar Ensenachos. We stayed in the Spa Section which is adult only. As usual, staff were great, the grounds were lovely and the beaches wonderful. Even though we had our registration forms completed prior to registering, it took over an hour to get a room. Other than this, the only negative thing I would say is the number of children at the resort. There were children sitting at the bars at 9:00-9:30 at night which I thought was a bit much. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Great resort!

Had a great time at Ocean Casa del Mar. The beach is amazing. Food is typical for Cuba. The hotel and rooms were nice. Grounds were well kept. Pool was great. Overall, a great vacation with not much to complain about.

Melia Las Dunas: Our Cuba Cottage resort

We love this resort when we go for an all inclusive. The site has beautiful landscaping, zero outside vendors on the large and well kept beach, and the staff delighted to see Canadians and share there famous hospitality. The food this year was much better than years before as the site is under new management. Cuban music played live every night and the usual tourist dance shows, both in the pools! and the theatre stage. On each edge of the resort large pools with bars - one for adults and on [... read more]e for families. And the energy is great too - families come here and it is very common to see all age groups interacting and partying. There is a spa attached to the resort which gives the best massages we have experienced in any country for a fraction of the cost... Cuban weather, hospitality and decompression - what more can you ask for? :)

Loved everything. rooms, food, entertainment, beach, pool, drinks, grounds etc. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone! the staff all were great. modern, well looked after property with lots to see and do.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Fantasic Resort

We have been traveling down south since 2011 with our 2 kids. This by far has been our favorite resort ever!! The beach was flawless, we had adjoining rooms they were perfect. Modern with beautiful bathrooms. Ocean view with pool on opposite side, walking distance to everything. Food was great. Entertainment the best we have ever seen!! Loved everything about the resort. Highly recommend!

Melia Las Dunas: Will definitely go back!

We loved this resort. The entertainment staff was amazing and the hotel staff were very friendly. The beach was beautiful, the room was clean, the meals were good with a great amount of different food to choose from.

Melia Buenavista: Great resort, however...

This was our second visit. Even though there was hurricane devastation very little could be found on this resort. It was immaculate and most eveything was as it was before. Tennis was still shut down. Most exercise equipment was damaged. We were there during the week that the Melia President was there. Food and services seemed to improve significantly once the Melia President announced his arrival.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Beautiful Resort!

Everything was great. The rooms were modern and clean with lots of hot water, food was good, service was good, public washrooms always clean with lots of toilet paper. The bus ride is about 1 hour 40 minutes from the airport, but there is a washroom on the bus and it really didn't seem that long either way. I mean it is possible to find fault with things if you want to, but I don't go on vacation to look for things to complaint about. I would go back in a minute!
