Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful resort
My self and my 2 daughters had an amazing time at Selection Ensenachos. Food was great for Cuba considering food shortages. I really had no complaints except for the setvice in the coffee bar and lobby! I tip but they were not in a rush for serving women. Men were served first apparently. But that wouldnt stop me from coming back i definitely will be returning !!!
Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great resort!
This is our 6th trip to Cuba. We've never stayed at the same place twice, but we would be happy to come back to the Hotel Playa Paraiso. We really enjoyed this resort. Currently, there are shortages in Cuba but that didn't have a huge impact on our stay. There was one day that the resort had no coffee, and the beach ran out of sprite. The first day there, the resort had a pig roast and fire roasted chicken that was delicious. The presentation of this feast was gorgeous. There was carved fruits/v [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: Beautiful staff, beautiful country!
We booked for a last minute 4 day get away and had never been to this resort before. The rating was 4.5 and the reviews proved to be correct ie. not a 4.5 that we are used to, but closer to a 4 or even a bit lower only because of the age of resort. The most important thing for us is that the facility is clean and it definitely was. It was older and some parts of the room(6301-would recommend btw), were well worn, however this part of the hotel was very central to the pool, beach and the dini [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Amazing resort!
This was our 5th time to Cuba and 1st time at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised how beautiful the hotel and grounds were. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Any issues were taken care of immediately. . Dayanna in customer service is outstanding. She took excellent care of us! Beach is beautiful, pool is great, drinks were plentiful and the food was very good!! No eggs, but we did not come for the eggs. Evening entertainment was fun. No complaints. Will definetly return.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Resort Needs Some TLC
We have been to Cuba multiple times over decades and are aware of the country’s economic problems but it saddens us to see the deterioration of this resort since our last stay in 2019. The deteriorating rooms, grounds, crumbling concrete pathways and pools. The busy lobby bathrooms were so dirty. This resort needs some serious TLC. A recommendation to pass on to the Resort is to have a water container available in the lobby to refill your own water bottle instead of having to stand in long [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Paradise!!!
Weather and beaches are beautiful!!! The grounds and structures were manicured and freshly painted with a few upgrades. However the air conditioning should be upgraded. We had issues where one night we had no air working and two other days where air conditioner was noisy and water was coming down the wall. We did get compensated for this matter. The food in cafe was subpar because of their supply chain. The finer dinning areas food was good. We never went hungry. Some limited choices for drinks [... read more]
Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing vacation
We visited Gran Muthu Almirante in March 2024. I loved everything about this resort. The staff there were welcoming. Rooms very clean and modern with AC. The food and drinks were very good. We tried the Asiatico, Indian and International a la cartes and we were served amazing food. The pools were kept clean and lots of chairs could be found near the 3 pools. The beach was beautiful. I recommend this resort. We will definitely return.
Playa Luxury Cayo Las Brujas: Amazing resort
Quick check-in in the middle of the night. We booked a junior suite with garden view. It was in a quiet area of the grounds. There's 2 fabulous pools close to the main building. The grounds were very well maintained with beautiful flowers. There's access to 2 beaches, each at opposite ends of the resort: one quiet beach, drinks available and chairs but no music; the other beach was louder with Cuban music. The staff is friendly and polite (French and English). There were a couple of shortages li [... read more]
Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great resort!
Amazing beach! The resort is new, modern and clean. We had plenty of good food, the cappuccino at the bar was great, too. I really enjoyed the grilled fish, beef stew, beans, rice, potatoes, salads. We recommend this resort and will come back.
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Lots of Room for Improvement
While this is a new hotel, managment needs to make several improvements. Staff were very friendly, however, not well trained or given minimal options. Towels were never changed, toilet paper in both the rooms and the public washrooms were in short supply. Food was I guess what most people what to expect in Cuba, however, the variety this time was extremely limited. The beach is not your typical Veradero beach. The sand was more like crushed small stones, very difficult to walk on and getting [... read more]
Blau Varadero: Wonderful hotel
The hotel is beautiful , everything is close by . There are several places to get a drink in the hotel, at the lobby bar, the piano bar , the pool bar and 2 bars near the beach one which is open 24 hours . The animation team does an amazing job offering activities for the guests. Everyone who works at the Blau are extremely friendly amd willing to assist you with whatever you may need. A great place !
Melia Las Americas: Good resort
We have been going there for many years twice every year, mainly because of the Golf Club , it’s very convenient for the Golfers food is ok nothing special it’s Cuba, we just got used to it, this time it was very disappointing no eggs for the whole week and they had a hard time putting something descend on the buffet, Breakfast was mainly toast butter and jam Lunch always at the Bbq Dinner we were out at Boulavard (about ten minutes from the Hotel ), room was ok staff very friendly bar servic [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Amazing Beach!!!
Pros - Beach was beautiful. The ocean so clear. Zero Seaweed. Loved the beach. The people are super nice and the resort was very clean. The resort offered free non-motorized water sports. Which was awesome! Cons- had to wake up early to reserve your lounger. We are non smokers and I think we were the only ones. The smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere. The rooms where okay....run down a bit (at least in our room). Curtains was half on half off, the bathroom mirror had permit marks [... read more]
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort
Building is new and very clean but still some wrinkles to work out in staffing and supplies. Happy staff who say they enjoy working there. Special thanks to Abel, Cheylin, Cepero, Davie, Rey and Richard who all go above and beyond their duties Food is typical for the area. Extensive menu in the 24hr Snack Bar but only a few of the choices consistently available and long waits as multiple waitresses take orders for a single chef Plan to return again in hopes things will improve with exp [... read more]
Selectum Family Resort Varadero: Great resort
The resort was very nice, still new. The service was great, very friendly staff the only problem was some of the waiters did not speak English. The food was the same every day but you could never go hungry. You could always find something to eat. We had fresh eggs for breakfast every day and grilled meat for dinner ( chicken, beef and pork). I was only shocked that there was no fish at all for the whole week I stayed there, only mussels, octopus and calamari. The beach was Ok, there are st [... read more]
Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: beautiful resort
I have nothing but great memories now of my weeks long stay at Grand Aston Varadero. Room was absolutely fantastic with a beautiful ocean view, beach was excellent, pools were fun. We were always able to find loungers to relax on at poolside and on beach. Of course we were prepared for the meals part of our trip so this was ne surprise to us. We definitely did not starve. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. thanks
Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Resort
Arrived at hotel at 11am. Checked in..to my surprise my room was not in the main building. It was in the "2000' located across the street. The rooms on this side of the street are very noisy and surrounded by local clubs..one which stays open until 3am. Bring earplugs! Also I was told I was not able to get a beach towel until after 4 pm the following day and that I had to get it from my room cleaner. Not easy task to locate her. This was super frustrating. The main building was great. The fo [... read more]
Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Disappointed
When we first arrived, our room had an awful smell. We had to be switched not only rooms but buildings away from our friends. We got moved to another building that water supply had not worked for 24 hours. We asked at front desk why would you moved us from a bad situation to another. We then again asked to be moved back to the building with our friends. So we moved 3x. Food was horrific always cold- Lines for the food was unmanaged.
Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Superb experience!
We had a great time In Grand Sirenis @Cayo Sta Maria Cuba! It was our first time going away for March break. From the time we booked with Tripcentral, with the our agent Ash, he was very helpful! It was very easy and flawless. We are a family of 6 kids ages ranging from 6-18yo. They had the best time! Resort was clean, staff were great, beach was EXCELLENT! Couldn't have asked for a better beach and our room view was the best! Food was okay, as per other reviews that said it was the worst. It [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing resort for families with young children! Beautiful beach!
The food was the best we have ever had in Cuba! The 24 hour snack bar was a hit with my children, many options, including pizza, pasta, hamburgers, hotdogs! They also had an afternoon outdoor beachside, barbeque grill, with fresh chicken, and pork, it was such a delight. The buffet also had quite a variety, including grilled shrimp, and different options for seafood and a variety of meats. The resort felt very safe for my children to even walk around from the room to the pool on their own. Our [... read more]
