Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Time

Everything about the trip was amazing , the food, the beach, the people, the staff. only issues was the rooms kept shutting off and heating up on us and then at 2 in the am the power would kick on and tv would start up and some of the lights too.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: WONDERFUL VACATION GREAT STAFF

Hola Reviewers My wife and I traveled to Iberostar Bella Vista with WestJet Vacations from July 7th to July 12th from Moncton via Toronto with out a hitch. Thanks WestJet. We booked our Elite Oceanview Room through Trip Central using Air Miles. We sent our certificates to Trip Central on June 9th, they were received June 12th. As of today July 15th we have still have not received our refund check. The air miles site says we should receive our refund within 1 week from Trip Central. They say i [... read more]t takes time, Air Miles should review this so customers don't feel something is wrong. Trip Central did tell me yesterday the check is in the mail. When we arrived at the resort we were greeted by the smiling Lazard who took us for our private check In, then waited for us and took us directly to our room. Great job-best check in ever. Thanks to Yoanna Garcia and Lianet Abrew for our bookings. Our room 20920 on the 9th floor was very nice. Roomy, nice bathroom and a great view of the resort and ocean. During our stay Annenys kept our room spotless and always left us apiece of Towel art on the bed each day. She would always greet us if we saw her in the hall with a "good morning" and a smile. Very nice hard working gal. The resort is only 1year plus a few months old. Very nice, modern and has the best views ever. It is 11 stories tall, towering over the rest of the resorts. You can see forever from the roof top bar patio. Resturants---We used the Miramar rooftop resturant every morning. Great spot--best breakfast in all our travels, they only cook as ordered and to order. We ate here 2 nights for dinner also, if you go have the fish and chips for a starter, it is the best I have had, note if you don't like tatar sauce ask them to leave it off. Thanks to Yusnery, Hany, Juan M., Darten, Yailzn, Lisandra, Dairis, Laura, Adrian and Andyaw from the Panoramico resturant and bar for the wonderful talks and laughs. We did also eat at the Japanese, Cuban and Italian resturants. They were also good. We didn't eat at the buffet or the snack bar. Entertainment was great, it was in the lobby during our stay, the July 11 circus show was the best. Possibly the best show in all our travels. Good job by this group. There was a beach party one night which was worth attending, had some laughs. Bars---Lobby bar was very busy, thanks to Anelys, Jimaqua, Pedio and Andres they worked very hard and kept the guests in drinks and always were happy to serve. The beach bar was great also- extra thenks to Alex and Juan for service on the beach. Great job. Special mention to Alex, he litterly ran to serve his customers. Nice guy, always happy. THE BEACH-- The real reason for traveling was great. You could walk and see for miles. The sand was usual for Varadero. Shade was plentyful, you do need to reseve early though. The Sun Staff were great also. They greated everyone with smiles and high fives and were always trying to get some of us lazy people up for the events. Pools--- we didn't use the pools but there seemed to be lots going on and lots to do. They also had a great kids area. We noticed the children having fun and seemed to be very busy. They had 1 gal who worked with the kids all day and into the evening. They seemed to Love her, sorry no name. We met some wonderful guests from all around the world. If you talk to them they will talk too and the conversations can be very interesting. We are sorry we couldn't name everyone that we met and served us, all the Staff deserve to be noticed, hard working happy people. This is why we Love Cuba In a nut shell Iberostar Belle Vista was a great choice for us, the upgrade to Elite was well wortht the extra. Would we return--YES Would we recommend it-YES Did we enjoy our stay-YES Thanks so much to all the Staff for making our quick Cuba Trip 2018 a wonderful vacation.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Disappointing - Don't Waste Your Money

Pros - white sand beach - most of it - speciality restaurants were okay - limited friendly workers even with generous tips - nice weather - big rooms - nice shower - walk in closet Cons - part of the beach had rocks and rocks in the water - water sports were not on the main part of the beach - rocks separated - rooms needed renovating - food at the buffet was terrible - no air conditioning so we had food poisoning all week, temperature in buffet lead to food spoiling - very poor f [... read more]ood handling practices - e.g. beach grill - cross contaminating food - cooked with raw food, temperature of food at buffet - Guest services people were rude and not helpful - if you don't speak Spanish, don't go to this resort, some workers were rude to English speaking people - limited shuttle service, resort too big - getting clean towels were an issue - the night shows were horrible and inappropriate content for children to be watching (sexual content) - bring toilet paper, there was never enough - don't put your things on a main floor room because we had items stolen off our balancy - translation of Italian menu into English were comical - 1 hour and 45 minute drive to the hotel - over 2 hours after having to make 3 stops because the bus didn't have a washroom - I would not recommend going to this resort and it did not live up to the Iberostar name

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Fantastic Trip

Awesome trip with the family. Had a beautiful seaview room with a fantastic view! Food was good and pool was clean & comfortable beds. Couldn’t ask for more. What really sets this resort aside was the people who work there! They are such hard working sweet people who will help you with whatever you need. We will definitely be there again!!❤️❤️

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Resort not what I expected

Stayed at the iberostar Dominicana for 2 weeks. Grounds and hotel was very clean. However I would not have given it more than a 3star. Rooms very outdated. The food was very repetitive we ate the same things for breakfast lunch and supper everyday big disappointment. Lastly things went missing from our room.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Quick Getaway!

The hotel was terrific. It was on a beautiful beach and it was not too large so very easy to get around. The grounds and beach were very clean. Check in was a breeze. Make your dinner reservations as soon as you arrive, limited seating and double check your reservation ticket - we had a mix-up and they could not seat us one night in the a la carte. Rooms were comfortable but dated. The bathrooms need a serious refresh. Very friendly and helpful staff and fun shows nightly. Snack bar was 24 hours but very limited offerings. The beach is the draw.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great Hotel - the Best Beach and Ocean!

We stayed in hotel in a week of Jul 2nd. Weather was great! Hotel is clean, there are two beaches. Both are great, but I liked Ensenachos more, just because water is unbelievable clear - something I have never seen anywhere else! You will also find a lots of wildlife/ocean-life: butterflies, crabs, jellyfish, zebra fish, few types of school of fish (you do not need your googles at all - they just swim around you), starfish, iguana... simply put: beautiful! There are kids playground and kids pool - and there is also adults pool adjusent to kids pool, witch is great, you can actually see your kid playing even though you are at the adults pool. Very well planned! Service at the pool is fantastic. They walk all they and offer drinks. Hotel room is big, balcony was large as well. We did not have hot water one evening. I called in next day, and they have fix it. Food is tasty, there is not great many choices if you compare to e.g. Dominican or Mexico, but there is enough and most importantly, it tastes good. I would highly recommend to make reservations at Mediterranean restaurant - it is on a beach with ocean view. Arrive earlier so you can see sunset (something I did not realised, so I book for 8.30pm and missed it!). Internet is in lobby only, 1 pesos for 1 hour. The only think they I would recommend for improvement was service. Reception and pool service was good. But buffet could be better. Some servants were ok, but some not so much... Overall, great value for the money!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: PARADISE

The entire resort was breath taking from the views, to the rooms, the pools and the beach! The nightly entertainment was incredible and food was good! We are already discussing going back! The service was excellent and for the most part, everyone spoke good English!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: FANTASTIC RESORT

We had a fantastic trip to the Dominican Republic. Iberostar Costa Dorada is a spectacular resort. The service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and always willing to accommodate. There was great entertainment and fun for the kids each night. The only recommendations I would make is for them to clean up the seaweed on the beach. Other than that, my overall experience was great and I would recommend you stay at this resort!

Hotel Mojito: Iberostar Mojito Cayo Coco Cuba

we were there in January 2018...right after the devastating hurricane every day, the workers were replanting gardens, clearing debris, and refurbishing rooms compared to other hotels on the beach, the work that had already been completed was mind boggling the restaurants hadn`t all been rebuilt, nor the cigar lounge the staff was great, as Cubans are the food was good and varied the pools (2) were refreshing the entertainment was good there was always someone performing in the lobby ever [... read more]y night

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Pass on this one

This was my second visit to Iberostar Dominicana. It was for friend's a destination wedding. Unfortunately it was not a great experience at all. When we landed we were greeted by friendly staff who checked us in. They said that since this was our second visit to the resort they upgraded us to the Jr. suites. Thinking this was a nice gesture we accepted and unfortunately things went downhill from there. When we arrived at the room it was very outdated and the floors and bathroom was dirty [... read more]. We went back to the front desk asking for a standard room fearing all of the Jr. suites would be the same. Of course none were available which explains why were upgraded. They said that we would have to wait until the following day at 3pm to change our room. We agreed however did ask for a room with a stand-up shower. The next day at 3pm we go to the front desk and they gave us the new keys. We walk back to the room and it was filthy, they hadn't finished cleaning the room after the last guest checked out and also it didn't have a stand-up shower. We walk back to the front desk and after a long discussion get to speak to the manager who tells us a new room will be available after 5pm. Go back at 5pm and finally after the third try get the room that we requested. Food is largely catered to their main demographic of guests which is European. It was quite bland and boring, since there are minimal changes to the menu throughout the week. Since staff are clearly biased to favor their main customer base, expect longer wait times and poor service even if you tip in comparison to their core demographic. They also appeared to be severely understaffed most notably in their transport team (cart service) since we were there for a wedding we relied heavily on the carts to move around from resort to resort however wait times exceeded 30 minutes at times. This was ridiculous considering the wedding party was under time constraints. It also resulted in a horrible incident where one of the wedding guests needed to get back to their room to take their medication however due to the wait time ended up having to go to the hospital because their situation had progressed to a dangerous state. Overall would not be going back to any Iberostar resorts and probably won't be traveling to the Dominican again.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Beach

Check in was the worst we had ever experienced, as we had to stand in a line for one hour to receive our check in envelope. The food was typical for Cuba, not great, long buffet lineups. The Al a Carte meals nothing special, and again very long wait times and uncomfortable seating. Absolutely no lobby entertainment except one night they offered a bingo game. This resort defiantly catered more to children than adults. The best part of this vacation was the beautiful secluded beach.

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Friendly staff

The resort is beautiful, well kept gardens, absolutely beautiful grounds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable while the food at the resort was pretty good, myself and my family only eats seafood but they were a lot of meat options for people who are meat eaters. The people who work there are amazing so friendly they totally makes this resort 5 star.

Hotel Mojito: Good resort

We had a nice time in this hotel, it has a wonderful beach, the room are cleaned every day very well, service is good, they reply fast to all inquiries, I would come back here again, highly recommend!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

The hotel is little old but very well maintained. The food is as good as in Canada. Every night they have different themes. The buffet serves steaks and lobsters. Staff is friendly. Lots of locals in June, they take over the bar and bud in front of you to get their order.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Resort

I liked: - that it was not too big. Medium sized. - had a beautiful ocean view room. - the service was great....all the personnel were nice. - some people I heard had sand bugs in their beds...or bugs from trees. so that was not great...one changed rooms twice. so they can change it if you want. - I had a great room. I think it was new. - the beach stretch was lovely. quiet as I liked it and wanted it. - pilar beach 20 mins away was amazing!!!! have to go see it. best beach I [... read more] have been to. went twice. - the beach of the hotel had algae (after the oragan) so it was a bit yucky to swim in and I didn't. I swam close to the beach. there it was fine. it gets darker with algae if you want to go in. - nice lobby. - disco not great! - cave party outing was not Cuban music. It was disappointing! - food was great compared to cuba! I had mangoes, papayas every day and fresh fish. the buffet was really nice. lots of choices.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: very nice!

The grounds and rooms were all well kept and there was great service at the pools and speciality restaurants.The activity people were alot of fun.The buffets were not so good as they were always the same food and not very hot.Our favourite place was The Hard Rock where we had a great waiter.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Best beach in the world!

Iberostar Ensenachos has a whole island for itself and it's incredible. White sand beach, calm waters, beautiful grounds... all that gives the resort a huge advantage. Don't let little imperfections in service and food bother you, just relax and enjoy the sun.

Hotel Mojito: Okay Resort

The hotel is okay and the beach is too far but very nice and didnt like the music playing on the beach all the time The staff was very friendly and the mosguitos or whatever small flies attacked all of us The food was okay nothing special and there is nothing to see on this island

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing stay at Iberostar Varadero!

Hotel was very clean. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. The beach is absolutely gorgeous!!! Lots of chairs and umbrellas for shade both at the beach and the pool. Pool was a lot of fun too and great for kids. The whole hotel was really well set up for families. We want to go back to this resort!
