Riu Montego Bay: Our Home Away from Home!
First Impression: Efficient, clean, very children oriented. family oriented. First Food Experience: Overwhelmingly impressive, service so friendly and professional. Entertainment from day to night, had something for all ages and tastes! well done all! First Look around the grounds: night time, so limited to landscaped lighting, but at dawn, I went for a walk along the beach, and saw clean up crews already at work preparing for the busy rush of guests to come down and enjoy the space. The poo [... read more]
Riu Republica: Resort like no other
This resort is absolutely amazing! they have so much entertainment and always so much food on hand to serve. they also take all inclusive to another level. if entertainment is away from a bar they will set up a table with alcohol and ensure you never far away from boo's. their beach was so clean and so calming.
Riu Republica: Great people, great place!
The resort was excellent, food was great with a decent variety, enough to not have the same meal twice through the week. The rooms were very modern, no bugs. There are frosted windows looking the shower from the main room though so if that's not your thing beware. No room service was a drag after missing dinner one night. Maccao is the best bar, real nice atmosphere and some of the best bartenders around in Joaquin, Isabel, and Noel! They seriously went above and beyond! The beach was beautiful [... read more]
Riu Montego Bay: Great Resort
Overall hard working people who keep the grounds clean. The food was Good. The house keeping was Great, they went beyond my expectations! The excursions were fantastic, we have never seen the ocean with that color blue! Overall it was a great experience, I wouldn't hesitate to go back!
Riu Palace Jamaica: Outstanding Resort!!!
This resort was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Our room was spacious and decorated beautifully, the food at the buffet and all of the restaurants was excellent and lastly the staff were helpful, fun and plentiful!! Wouldn't hesitate to go again!!
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great value
Nicely refurbished hotel. Ocean view room had an obstructed view overlooking rooftop and air conditioning (which we paid extra for). Food was very good and premium liquor was served. Lobby smells of sewage. Pools clean and well Maintained and excellent swim up bar service. Beach was amazing. Overall great value but probably not 5 star in my opinion.
Riu Republica: As honest as it gets...
The hotel itself was lovely, the grounds were extremely clean and the rooms were modern and comfortable. The highlight of the trip was definitely the beach, one of the nicer ones we have been to. However there are a few things: 1) The workers speak minimal english, and aren't as friendly as other countries/ resorts. 2) The food, like many other Caribbean all-inclusive resorts, is lower quality and will get repetitive. It is by no means terrible, however don't expect fine dining. 3) This reso [... read more]
Riu Republica: Great place and staff
This resort was absolutely entertaining and a lot of fun!! Great people. Age group was anywhere from young 20's up to seniors - majority being mid 30's. Overall the resort was well kept. The grounds looked great especially at night! They have 4 pools all together - 2 are swimup bars which get really crazy at times but fun. The food was very good overall. Steakhouse was the best restaurant. Would've been great to have some theme nights for the main buffet. The beach is absolutely stunning!! I wou [... read more]
Riu Palace Antillas: Nice resort with friendly staff
While the hotel is dated (by dated I don't mean run down, just a little older), the hotel is clearly one on the better ones on the strip. The restaurants are all good, the staff is friendly and eager to help and they don't cheap out on the booze at any bar. The beach is kept clean and the beach staff will get you whatever you need. We had a great time and would recommend this resort to anyone.
Riu Vallarta: Aug 27 to Sept 3rd Riu Vallarta 2018
Wonderful time here, great music, entertainment, food, specialty restaurants, all the workers and especially the entertainment team and wonderful bartenders. We asked to change our room from the 7th floor to 1st , with in 3 hrs we were changed, very good at the front desk listen to you when you need something. Would go back again , it was our 4th time there, K&Brizz
Riu Reggae: Enjoyable !
We really loved the beach, the resort was very small and got a little boring but the entertainment staff were awesome. Friendly staff all around, would have loved to see some pool tables in a sports bar like some of the other Riu’s. I won’t be returning to Jamaica due to the high costs of everything, everything was in American dollar and we are Canadian and Jamaicans don’t want Canadian money, got too expensive.
Riu Republica: Punta Canada!!!
Very popular resort among Canadians, which is great because we are quite friendly if I do say so myself. Resort had everything we wanted and more, popular place for young adults. Staff was exceptional and practiced great hygiene with readily available hand sanitizers near dining halls, ensuring straws were not contaminated and that we had plenty of bottle water and alcohol whenever we needed. Alcohol was not watered down like at most all inclusive resorts. The food was amazing as we did not have [... read more]
Riu Republica: Good resort but not 5 stars
Riu Republica is a good hotel for your vacations but if you know about a real All-Inclusive 5 stars resort in the Caribbean Sea... this is not for you. My 4 stars qualification is about rooms, restaurants and food, entertainment and night life, liquor on the bars, and specially for service.
Riu Reggae: Amazing Resort
I have been to the RIU Reggae three times now. The food is amazing, the beach is great and the resort is very clean. I cannot say enough about how friendly the staff is and how helpful they are. The entertainment staff goes above and beyond... they are extremely talented and really connect with the guests. The gym facilities are also great. Can’t wait to go back.
Riu Palace Antillas: Its a Mini Vegas on an Island
One of the best vacations we have been on. Aruba is gorgeous, windy but still everything and more you can ask for. There is less than a 1% crime rate so you can basically go anywhere at anytime. There is so much to do you can walk to downtown or palm beach where they have restaurants, bars, shopping and a mall. If you like Vegas you will love Aruba, every resort/hotel has its own casino. They only accept American but pay you in American as well and its not like a resort casino, they pay very we [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: RIU Palace Paradise Island - Very small RIU
The resort was very small pool and beach area crowded. Not the same quality of most RIU's. No drink service on the beach. No snacks or wine in the room. No reservations to be made for a la carte - First come first served. No guest suite to shower between mandatory check out and leaving the resort. Could not extend our room for the afternoon we had to check out at 12:00 when bus was only arriving at 6:30 to bring us to the airport. Beach area between public beach and Seadoo rentals. Riu Reggae: Loved it!
An overall amazing experience. And I will be visiting again soon. I can’t think of any negative feedback. Service, drinks, people, food...loved everything. Jamaica I love you, and I’ll see you again. Yeah man!
Riu Republica: Great vacation!
My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at the Riu. There was a mix up with the room ( 1 king bed vs 2 singles) when we arrived, but it was quickly taken care of. The staff was friendly and the washrooms were really well kept. There were plenty of beach chairs available and we never had to wait a long time for any of the restaurants. Only thing was that most restaurants are buffet style. This resort had a mix of guests ( party vs relaxation). It was nice that you could find places to do bot [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Great family time !
I was worried about where we were staying after reading some reviews on trip advisor. They were unfounded. We had a great time the resort was clean, the rooms were a good size, the beach was fab!!! I would go back. It was a great price point and everything I expected.
Riu Palace Las Americas: Meh
I had a good time with my family because we tried to make the best of it but overall the service wasn’t the greatest, the entertainment staff were rude and most of the time the staff wouldn’t even speak to us when we wouldn’t tip them it was almost as if it was expected for us to tip every time. They were not professional. Only had a good time when we would leave the resort and go to the downtown area
