Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Fabulous

This was a really beautiful resort. The low-rise buildings are painted in bright colours and the gardens and grounds are kept so clean and tidy. The quality of food was really great. There was a good variety every day, and our 8-year old loved being able to help herself. The rooms are rustic, with whitewashed plaster walls and wooden furniture, with seriously comfortable firm beds and good quality linens. We all slept well. Marival Emotions Resort and Suites Riviera Nayarit: Fun filled yet relaxing atmospher

Really enjoyed our time at the Marival. We found the staff very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean. We shared the room with our daughter so the double beds were something to get used to....not uncomfortable just a change from our King. The food options were abundant and the restaurant reservation worked like a charm. By far I found the Amalfi (Italian) restaurant, to be my favourite for dining experience and quality of food. The entertainment was less exciting our first couple days [... read more] and picked up from there. The Michael Jackson night and Frozen night were very entertaining! The beach was beautiful! The soft golden sand was amazing. We had taken a tour to the souther part of the cove where the beaches were suppose to be whiter and more beautiful. We found the beach at Marival better and were very happy. The vendors on the beach are all licensed and the Marival has staff monitoring them so if one gets a little too pushy, the Marival security are there to help. We enjoyed a few drinks and I found I could drink more "alcoholic" drinks than usual and not feel any effects, which was fine with us. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the Marival for our first trip to Mexico and would definitely recommend and re-book.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: below average

First of all I would like to start buy saying it's our 3rd time in Mexico and we've always stayed at 5 star resorts. That being said this may sway our review for this resort. The resort is in major need of renovation. We changed rooms 3 times and were lucky enough to get room 222 which had a renovated bathroom. Our previous 2 rooms had an old bathroom with no fan and mold on the ceiling. We would like to thank our WestJet rep Kerry that helped us out tremendously with this matter as well as Laur [... read more]a and Adela. Unfortunately the 3 rooms smelled of enclosure due to the lack of proper ventilation. The food on the resort was very average and lacked variety. I actually got sick during the vacation, I am not sure if it was something I ate on the resort since we did spend a lot of time off the resort. The grounds are well kept and the staff are continuously working on cleaning everything. The beach is a short walk away and this wasn't an issue. The service was really great. The staff is really friendly and very helpful. A special thank you Laura, the front desk manager, and Adela our cleaning lady. The location is really good for this resort as it is very central. It's a short bus trip to Old Vallarta and also not very long to get to Nueva Vallarta. There is a Walmart close by, 10 min walk. Excursion, we only did one the Marietas and I would not recommend it. It's not at all what the description says it is and honestly they should close it down since it is quite dangerous. Hidden gem, a restaurant in Nuevo Vallarta called De la Sorona's. We went there twice and it was the best steak and tortillas we have ever had and really good price.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: All Inclusive resort?????

The resort was beautiful, well maintained. My room had a very musty smell about it. Was mentioned 3 times never taken care of. As for all inclusive not so had to pay for: Mini golf, trampoline, coffee bar, some foods off the menu. Buffet was almost exactly the same every night. The items listed as all inclusive where in fact mostly for the younger children or events you had to pay for. As a whole not overly impressed.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Great value, location, food and fun!

We have just returned from a lovely one week stay at Dameron Los Cocos! This was our second visit, my youngest son and I had been there 8 years ago and I had forgotten how wonderful it was! This time our family of 4 went. If you are looking for a very clean and safe 3.5* resort on the beach, this is it! It is a very authentic Mexican resort and every one is very friendly. During ou [... read more]r one week stay we also went snorkeling, rode the complimentary bikes to the market in La Pineta, sailed the complimentary catammaran and rode horseback up the Sierra Mountains. Our rooms in Cocos 4 were spacious, very clean with beautiful views of the bay.We all had a wonderful vacation and look forward to returning again soon!

Royal Suites Punta Mita: Highly recommend

My husband & I spent 1 amazing week here in March. Loved everything from the staff to accommodations to the food. The beach on the Royal suites side where we stayed is small & rocky but still very beautiful & secluded take waiter socks (we didn't).

Friendly Fun Vallarta: The name says it all!

We recently returned from our first stay at The Friendly Hola Vallarta. The staff were amazing! Each time you passed, they would smile. I couldn't believe how many return visitors were greeted with hugs, they truly have built long term friendships with many staff. We had asked for a specific room and when we arrived realized that it did not have enough sunshine on the deck for us. We requested a room change and in two days were thrilled with a magnificent view and plenty of sunshine! I couldn't believe how clean the resort was, there was constant care taken to provide a wonderful environment for us. A fabulous holiday, thanks!

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Excellent vacation for a young family!!!

I can't say enough good things about this resort. The service was FANTASTIC from check in to check out and at everything in between! Keep in mind my ratings are done from the point of view of a parent with young children (3 yrs old and a baby).

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Beautiful resort.

Beautiful, clean resort full of friendly staff and lots to do. The resort is very close to the ocean too which is a nice bonus for those who don't like to walk far from their room to play in the sand.

Villas Vallarta by Canto del Sol: Nice quiet resort

This is our 3rd time to this resort within the last 10 years. We travelled as a family of 3 and enjoyed our stay. This resort is a very quiet and laid back .. pure relaxation. This hotel is approx. 15 minute bus ride from the airport and you very close to all attractions. Lots to see and all within walking distance. One of us is a smoker and now that the smoking laws have changed in Mexico there was no smoking inside the hotel at all (rooms or balconies) .. Small section near the pool and outsid [... read more]e the front doors.. This is truly a blessing for the non-smokers. Only meal served at the Villa is breakfast and bar is only opened from noon until 6 pm. All other meals and a la carte's are across the court at Canto De Sol .. the beach is also at Canto .. a very short walk and not too far out of your way. You have full access to Canto. Rooms at the Villa are a little outdated but are very clean. Most all rooms come with a kitchenette . Beneficial to us as we like cool drinks and could always have cold water on hand. Pool at the Villa is very nice and never full .. During our week maximum in the pool at the same time was 4 - 5 people .. Meals were good .. Buffet - standard with a large variety of dishes. Beach grill is open from noon to mid-night and have many items .. Cowboy burgers and hot wings were very tasty. They even have sushi at the beach grill. A La Carte's: 1. Italian - inside restaurant. Very, very good .. In our opinion this was the best one.. Staff very nice and efficient .. We all tried something different and tasted one another's meals and desserts .. All very tastey 2. Mexican - inside restaurant .. This was nice too .. wide variety of Mexican dishes and desserts and this restaurant would also go to the grill and have steaks grilled for you if you wished to have that instead of Mexican food. 3. Grill/Seafood - outside restaurant .. this was set up near the beach .. Very nice but we were not too happy with all the birds (not the resorts issue as they cannot control that) .. We each order a different type of steak and they were grilled exactly how we liked. Quite a few choices to be had on this menu as well. If you are travelling with small children (who go to bed early) this would be the best resort to stay at as it is very low keyed and quiet. If you have issues with walking, I would recommend that you stay at the Canto as you would be close to all restaurants, bars and the pool is a nice size there too , Just that pool at the Canto is very busy all day long.

Resort was well maintained, very clean, staff courteous & helpful. I even liked the quirky arrangement with the resort built into the village and part of the resort across the street. Travel to & from airport was a drawback

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Good Vibe Hotel!

The staff was friendly and work very hard to please guests, food was good could be more variety, rooms clean and good size. Amazing views and abundant of beautiful plants and flowers. Great location close to mall, shops, restaurants. Feel safe to walk out of resort and take buses or taxis to Malecon.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Senic Resort

Good food and service. Nice beach, but too many vendors, so not relaxing. Communication between Nolitours rep and tourists, poor. Our flight had been delayed two hours and the resort did not inform us, resulting in an unnecessary early departure and a longer wait at the airport. Transportation to and from the resort, deplorable.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Wonderful Resort

Our recent stay at Sheraton Buganvillias was extremely enjoyable. Grounds and pool area were excellent, staff was friendly and helpful, food was good. Entertainment and special event nights were fun and well organized.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Loved our family vacation at Melia PV

Great trip for our family! They welcomed us with free shirts and hats for the kids. Each day our kids visited the kids club for a few hours. And they loved it there! Jessica was awesome and they made so many high quality crafts that were excellent souvenirs. Plus Lala and Regina were wonderful with our 1 year (he stayed with them 3 hours each day for naps plus babysitting one night when we wanted to stay out later). The restaurants and buffets had great variety. Our Kid and Co room was perfect f [... read more]or our family of 5, although next time we might upgrade to a suite so that we have more adult privacy! :) The activities by the pool (games led by Raul and Christian) were fun - we won twice!! And the music and shows were great too. Only thing they need to improve on is timing of kids show - 9pm was too late! and Lunch in the nicer restaurant starts at 1pm but my kids were starving by 12noon! We plan to visit again and try another Melia if it has the same high quality kids activities.

Riu Palace Pacifico: Amazing Resort

From the pick up at the airport to drop off 6 days later, this was a fantastic experience. The hotel staff did everything posible to make our stay top shelf! Service was impecable, the resort clean and comfortable, food was great. No big crowds or line ups for anything. We will definitely be back again.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful resort

Awesome resort..pool was warm..rooms and beds were great..food was wonderful drink s yummy..staff were all friendly and lots of fun..ocean was warm..no rocks..no complaints at all... highly recommend this resort..

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: The DeCameron is the best place to stay at!!!

The Decameron is like my home away from home. The staff are so very friendly, that includes everyone, the cleaning staff, the grounds staff, the administration staff, the entertainment staff, but mostly the manager Ricardo and the reservation manager Julio.

Crown Paradise Club: Had a good family vacation

My husband and I travelled with 4 of our children 6yrs of age down to 1yr old. The resort was very clean and the staff was great. The waterpark for the kids was amazing and the kids had a great time. The other two pools were deep pools which was a bit tough with the little ones. One pool was even heated which was nice. The beach was ok. The water was very cold but the kids had fun throwing dirt and playing on the beach. The food was just ok. There was always something the kids could eat for for  [... read more]us adults it was a little hard finding something good. I found the drinks to be full of sugar. All in all it was a good vacation and the kids had a blast. We even moved rooms to accomodate our large family needs and the resort was very helpful. We had to pay for wifi which was a downer and it was only for 2 devices. The cable tv was 98% in spanish so my kids watched their shows in spanish.

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Excellent Service

Great pool area,beautiful grounds.Updated smaller hotel,we had a great stay March 2015.The service from all staff was excellent ,nice to stay at a smaller hotel you get to know most the staff.Great location 20 min walk to Bucerias.
