Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great Vacation

The hotel was clean and very attentive. Food was very good with a great variety. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Some of the entertainment Could have been a little better but overall ok.We would definitely go again someday.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful property

Very clean property. All washrooms spotless, even around pool areas. No plumbing issues LOL I have been to approximately 20 resorts and the food at the Bahia Principe was fantastic. The buffet was great, all looked fresh everyday. Great cheeses and cold cuts everyday. Because it's a big property, the trains to transport guests were great and always available. No waiting. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort for families with children

Just returned 2019 March stayed for 7 days had a great time with my husband and 6 year old son. Everyone seemed happy to work there my room was cleaned everyday but not enough face towels but if you called front desk they where good water park was fun but part of it was broken couldn’t use it but over all had a good time 😊

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Probably won’t return...

The resort and grounds are beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free wifi is impossible to get. Lots of chairs and shade on beach, but water is murky and rocky. Not very accessible. Didn’t like the food at all.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice Resort

Overall, a well thought out location with all the necessary facilities. It offers a good pool, fun afternoon activities, several different restaurants, activities for kids and a nice beach. There is a reef to break up the waves so the beach is ideal for young kids. When we were there, it was quite windy but the waves at the beach were still relatively small. The hotel is about 12 years old so it is starting to show some wear but definitely a good option for a family.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort

It's a very nice resort with beautiful beach, perfect for children. Rocks in the fairly shallow water allows for some snorkelling. The resort has very good food options but lacks the entertainment at night.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Second trip to this resort!!

Visited this resort in 2012 with our family. So glad we returned! Love this place. Good food,entertainment, and staff all great. The rooms are a little dated but clean. The beach amazing!! Will definitely be returning !!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

We highly recommend this resort. The property is beautiful, very clean and well maintained, It has been recently renovated and has some nice new features including a sports bar, coffee, shop and new restaurants - Limbo, M.E.A.T and Portofino. The beach is beautiful and the pool is great. We loved the beach side restaurant and had most of our breakfast and lunch there. Spectacular view of the ocean. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not the 5 star we were looking for!

We stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe after booking a last minute. We had the ocean view room which was facing the pool and the ocean. From our 5th floor we had a great view! The room was spacious but the cleaning after the previous occupants was not done very well; papers underneath the bed (king size), night table had lubricating goo in the drawer. During our stay the room maid forgot things that should not have been forgotten. It was small stuff like, bottled water missing, or no coffee pou [... read more]ch refill, missing shower mat towel, no shampoo replacement. Almost everyday something was missing! The pool was very nice with activities organized by the GO's. Always a party at the adult only pool bar where they would setup for the day, but mostly in the afternoons. The many pools gave us a chance to choose quiet times or more action. The stone finish around the pool also made it easy to walk barefoot under the sun without getting hot feet. The waitresses are not very fast bringing drinks so we had to serve ourselves a few times a day. The many bars around the pools helped shorten the distance to get drinks but I found that some bars had better bartenders. We went to the beach at the other side of the hotel, small bay, and this was the best part of the holiday. The water was not too deep and the water was clear with a nice sandy bottom. At noon some locals push a raft/BBQ just outside the swimming area and serve Jamaican patties and seafood and rice dishes. These out of pocket extras were very popular and the only way to get Jamaican patties at the hotel. The walk from our room to the end of the beach was about 20 minutes. This is close to the bar and where most people would stay for the day. To grab lunch we had a five minute walk to a buffet with a great view of the bay and the ocean. There is also a kids water park and "The Village" with stores for souvenir. The entertainment at night was good but they don't have a dedicated seating area for everyone. So you walk around or stand during the show. They had a variety of acts that were very good. There is also the entertainment for the Grand Bahia hotel that is going on if you want to check that out. Our pet peeve with this hotel was the reception, waitresses and dining personnel. The hotel system of preparing room cards in advance and arranging them on the counter when it's busy makes for very inefficient service. The reservation was under my name but they mixed up the room card by putting it under my wife's name. After 20 minutes and the intervention of three employees, they got it straight. The dining personnel are sometimes friendly but they don't go out of their way to make your vacation a super time! This was our second time in Jamaica this year and the other hotel staff were much nicer and full of energy. We will return to the first chain of hotel from now on.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful Bahía principe

This resort is very grand, the lobby and grounds are spectacular. We found that the service was professionally carried out by pleasant employees. The swimming pools are kept immaculate with no shortage of lounge chairs palapas and towels for comfort. We were delighted to be so close to the beach when we didn’t want to be by the pools. The very well trained staff aimed to please and were always pleasant. The a la Carte restaurants provided an elegant change from the buffet restaurants; must book these in advance, well worth the short time it takes. I was a little disappointed with some of the evening entertainment and very disappointed that we had to pay for the great Mexican event in an all inclusive package. I was glad that I didn’t have to walk everywhere as the resort provides internal transport which is available readily. In our room we could hear some noise from the pool, but not enough to disturb us and never at night. I noticed that programs were provided for children and thought it would be a lovely safe resort to take my grandchildren to. Perhaps we will bring them with us next time.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Perfection in Paradise

My fiancé and I had the most amazing experience this past week at the Bahia Principe Samaná. We booked a room with no balcony or view so we didn't know what to expect, but were wowed with a first floor terrace of our own overlooking the ocean. (From looking around, it appears all rooms face the ocean) All staff was incredibly friendly and clearly there to cater to our needs. The resort is small enough that there were never lines for food, drinks or trouble finding spots at the pool and beach.  [... read more]The cliff above the beach is a local road so you can hear some traffic in the background while at the beach, but is hardly noticeable with the waves. There isn't much going on past 10:30pm, but that was perfect for us. We highly recommend taking the free ferry over to the island Cayo Laventado - and bring your snorkel! It is about an hour from the airport, but was cool to see a bit of the province and the locals on the way in. Overall, this resort was truly perfect!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Average

Our room was excellent - good condition, and clean. The service itself was average - I called for towels, nobody ever came. Toiletries were not replenished and the general wait staff were not attentive. We had 3 incidents of servers who were actually quite rude. The beach was nice and shallow for kids as were the pools. The kids club kept the kids indoors and on the schedule everyday was video games/movies for an hour - I didn't put my daughter in it. Booking the a la cartes were a pain if you didn't have wifi.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good for kids, but less so for adult groups!

Although I know many people have had good experiences at this resort, ours was, unfortunately, not great. We arrived and our rooms weren’t to our specifications. My sister and I had requested two double beds, but were given a single king. The couple we were traveling with had requested to not be on the first floor, but were. We spent hours waiting for them to fix this, and they never did. We walked around the buffet searching for seats and after 3 times around still had no seat, and no one of [... read more]fered to help. We’re honestly not hard to please (we had an amazing time at a resort in Cuba last year), but I guess we got off to a rough start and things didn’t improve. I know many people report that the service is really great, but this was not our experience. We actually ended up paying an “upgrade” fee so we could move to Bahia Principe Tulum. For whatever reason, our experience at Tulum was MUCH better and the service was excellent! I would recommend Tulum for sure, and I’m sure I could travel to Coba another time and have a totally different experience, but it really is for kids, so I likely wouldn’t unless traveling with children. I said I’d recommend as I enjoy this group of Bahia resorts, but would recommend the different resorts to different groups of people.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing!! Would absolutely return!!

Beautiful resort, from the grounds (landscaping well maintained and gorgeous) to the rooms and of course the beach!! Lots of food choices at the restaurants. Don Pablo- a la carte restaurant was superb!! Rooms are very large and very clean. Beach was amazing. Great sunsets. Lots of lounging chairs with plenty of shades areas if you want. Free access to the Beach Club (lounging chairs and beer) just a short walk down the beach. Water clear here, but slightly less clear at resort (from nearby o [... read more]utlet of a river. Beautiful location, fantastic resort, fabulous people. We had a wonderful one week stay and cannot wait to return. The resort was spotless and the grounds were impeccably manicured. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Esmeralda review

We had a few bumps with our room upon arrival. We were first given a room that was occupied and then given a room with only one bed. This situation was rectified and we were put in a room with 2 beds as was booked. When we lost one of our rooms keys it was a hassle to get a new one. Otherwise it was beautiful and lots of fun and activities to explore around the resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great family resort

We loved this resort! Huge pools, amazing fresh buffet food with so much selection. Amazing weather and beautiful grounds! Evening entertainment was good too. Lots to do at the resort. Our kids loved the trolly rides too.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful resort

The resort was beautifully maintained. Grounds lovely, main lobby and public spaces very clean. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We liked the size of the resort and loved the beach for walking. The beach was clean, close to bars/dining, restrooms and lots of shade available if desired. We participated in some of the activities around the pool and enjoyed them very much.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Be careful with what you eat

The resort is beautiful, but it is not 5 star. I got food poison on day 2, my two kids ( 16 and 21) also had some stomachache problem. The food is underwhelming. The room is musky and bed is damp. The entertainment is good though. The service is pretty good for the most part. We had an excellent Butler, his name is Armando. He took care of us while we were not well, brought us champagne, candle ,essential oil and a dehumidifier.
