Hotel is very clean Staff very friendly and helpful we did not want for anything ! The weather was perfect only problem the food was tooooo spicey so i spent 3 days in my room with tummy ache !Everything was spiced so i ate nuggets fries and pizza during the rest of my stay !I recommend lay offf the hot spices not everyone can tolerate it !, I probably will not return in the future to this hotel !,,

Staff in general very good throughout. The room was well cleaned. 'Maid' was friendly and left towel designs. Beautiful beaches and service under tiki huts for food and drinks. Wifi avail in lobby $1Cuc

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Great resort!

Felt safe, very clean! Food was good! One comment is about the night club, seemed as though they have an employee night. With being on a short trip, it did take away one of night entertainment. Staff were very friendly and definitely return!

in a nut shell i did not really have any complaints about the resort altho it wass my first time going to a resort i felt as tho it wass an amazing experience as the staff were awesomely friendly and willing to help you when they could but also had there own personality to show they are real people not robots the bartenders were able to keep up with the demand when over whelmed with orders and the maids circled the buildings every day to restock your room then the activitys were amazing and staf [... read more]f were willing to join in on some of the games so that we were able to participate in them. now that i got that out of the way there is one thing that comes to mind if you do not have there app or check there activity bored you will miss out on a lot of the games and even then you have to have some form of watch or record of time as the pool and other activitys will help you lose track of time easily

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Amazing.

What can I say about this place. Normally I write a novel however this time I won't. The food was plentiful, and beach was immaculate. Service was amazing too! We would go back and book again. Israel our guest service Rep hooked us up. We got champagne 2 times, we were celebrating my husband's 40th birthday. Room: we stayed in the spa junior suite the room was always super clean no issues at all with toilet or water pressure, ac worked fine fridge always stocked and fresh towels lots of tow [... read more]els! The drinks always full of alcohol, not cheap at all on the booze. They have your typical vodka cran, you can get mudslides, gin N tonic and more delicious! Some days the lounge chairs at the beach were sparce, but we always managed to get a spot.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great fun

We both enjoyed the hotel! There were lots of activities to keep my 13 year old busy. The beach was stunning and the food quite good, especially the 6-course tasting menu! The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, especially since my son has food allergies. Everything was SEAMLESS!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: 3rd visit and still as good

The grounds are wonderfully kept, the gardeners are to be highly praised they have their work cut out for them when some guests just don`t care where they throw there rubbish. Reception are very helpful. Food once again was very good, something for even the pickiest of people. Rooms though dated are spotlessly clean. The shuttle service is very good I rang down and they where there in a minute. All the staff where so friendly. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Iberostar Daiquiri - run down resort

We are staying in this hotel about 10 years ago and it was very good, but now it's not the case... Resort is completely run out place: All the furniture in the lobby is dirty, ripped, "eaten" by fungus. The smell around bar is not not bearable, the glaces are dirty, as well as the counter. The dishes in the buffet are dirty, with pieces of food. We were forced to leave to another resort closed by "Memories Flamenco".

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Amazing resort

Exemplary! Very impressed with everything and everyone. This place was very clean, staff was very polite, approachable and accomodating. We enjoyed the great pools and beach facilities. There was a great selection with the meals. Housekeeping, Diana and concierge service was excellent (Mario) and Pech. We are hoping to be back again.

Hotel needs work! Stuff need discipline! They say now when you don’t tip and yes when u tip very well! Nonsense to have Chivas And not tonic! Waiters and barmans have attitude! Restaurants very badly managed and with no consideration!

Grounds were very nice, gardens well kept. Chambermaid was amazing (Youmara) took very good care of us. Front desk staff were not helpful at all...dismissive & rude upon our arrival...did not assist with requests-lights burnt out in our room-our chambermaid took care of it . Beds were terrible. Gym staff terrible...also rude & dismissive.. You come to this resort for the beach...food mediocre, entertainment was very late ..& indoor-we didn’t even know about until 3rd night in.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Terrible resort (iberostar daiquiri not playa alameda***)

Had a bad stay. Only one bar open after 6, plates were dirty at the buffet, beach was mostly seaweed, no toilet paper at the lobby washroom, and the whole resort ran out of water twice therefore couldn’t even shower or wash hands....

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Don't recommend it here

The hotel is outdated, the buffet doesn't have that much of a selection. Employees barely speak English. We requested extra sheets 4 days in a row for our son who wanted to sleep on the pull out coach and we never received that or an extra pillow. The a la carte restaurants were just ok. If you go, make sure you do the seafood one, that one was the best. The housekeeping cleaning of the rooms daily was very poor. Beach and pool area were way too busy.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Amazing Resort!!!

The hotel service and staff were amazing. Right as you get to the hotel they greet you with drinks in the lobby. The room was very beautiful and clean amazing view of the ocean and garden. We travel with a child and in the room they had the crib made up and ready for our son. They have wonderful food every time we eat. Whatever you want to eat they have it. From the steak house to the buffet you can eat your heart out with amazing Jamaican food or America food for the picky eaters. They had a lu [... read more]nch on the beach three days while we were there and it was good food each day and lots of activities for kids and adults by the pool and on the beach and the drinks are amazing the bartenders knew how to make the drink with accuracy. I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL AGAIN had a very great experience.

We stayed at the hotel for a week from May 12 to May 19th, 2018. We absolutely enjoyed the stay, the gardens are so beautiful, and the beach outstanding. We stayed at the spa section and it made a big difference specially at the pool which was always very welcoming, quiet and relaxing. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, although maybe the mattress was not as good as the one we have at home but who cares?, it is a vacation so I slept like a baby having left behind and far, far away a [... read more]ll the stress and worries of the daily grind..As an aside we did found that the complimentary robes and beach towels came in handy! The hotel itself is beautiful, very much in sync with the traditional colonial Cuban architecture, but still incorporating the best of modern minimalism and relaxed beach resort atmosphere. The food was OK, if you embrace the differences, not everyone on planet Earth eats the same things, the same way, thanks goodness for that! My husband overheard once a guest complaining to a waitress about how her kids did not have anything to eat at breakfast because they serve salami and hot dogs (the little ones) for breakfast, but every day there was also milk in every form and flavor, made to order pancakes and omelets, eggs in every shape and form, bacon, yogurt, juices, breads, butter, jams, cereals, little cakes, ham, a selection of cheeses (soft and hard), salads,(fresh and cold), fruit, and many other things that I care not to remember, which left us pondering what these kids might have for breakfast...If it is a particular brand of ketchup or peanut butter, then no, you will not find that in CUBA, thanks goodness for that too! The buffet might get a little tiresome anyways but there are plenty of choices, I would recommend to try the specialty restaurants in particular the Italian one if only because it saves you from the buffet madness, because although the waiters and waitresses at the buffet did their best they were no match for the hungering masses and screaming kids raining down on them after a day of swimming (the spa section does not save you from that !) You may also wish to head to the pool's restaurant for lunch, and enjoy a quick and peaceful bite, which need not be humble as it may involve some delicious shrimp and lobster...In general I recommend trying the seafood and fish because they are FRESH!! which makes all the difference in the world. All the hotel staff is friendly and very hardworking and you might wish to consider tipping as often as you can. We destined $200 CAD just for tips and it was more than enough. I want to stress that you will get the same service and smile anyway, you do not need the tip for that but you will want to do it anyway and it never hurts! There was also plenty of entertainment to be had, activities for kids and very good music with live bands playing every night at the hotel lobby and then at the evening shows. We did not take any of the excursions on offer so we cannot speak to that, but we did take the bus to go to the little market they have and there we find that there is room for improvement. The bus is 2.00 CUC but it is not a hop on and off one, so if you get off, then to get back on you need to pay again which did not make a lot of sense, why not make it a 4.00 CUC fare and give your guests the flexibility they need when they are exploring places? A personal experience, we went to the little market and had some refreshments while there, but then when it was time for lunch we found that it made no sense to stay there and eat and wanted to get back in time before the buffet close so instead of taking the bus, we just took a taxi which charged us exactly the same fare and we did not have to wait at all! We were a party of 5, so instead of getting 20.00 CUC from us, the bus co. got only 10.00 CUC but they still have to do the same # of round trips, as I said not much sense there... Everything went smoothly with the travel arrangements, the trip there and back, the checking in and out of the hotel, the only real inconvenience is that it is a relatively long haul from the airport to the hotel (1hr and half), fortunately they have very comfortable buses. We strongly recommend this hotel and were the world not so big and life not so short, we would gladly return for a second stay!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Beach

Best part is the beach. So much shade we could go to the beach at any time and get a lounger. Buffet is the same food for lunch and supper. You get sick of it very quickly. Asian and Italian alacartes are very good. We stayed in the adult section. The snack bar beside the adult pool served lunch and it was really good. The first 2 rooms they gave me were in the wrong section. Finally the third room was in the spa section. Bed was very uncomfortable we could feel the springs in our backs. [... read more] The resort is very spread out, a lot of walking which we liked. Bring lots of bug spray, we did and still got a ton of bites. The place is in need of an update. Maid service was very good always very clean. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. So many beautiful flowers.

Hotel Mojito: ameizing resort

Public area, restaurants, beach, rooms, they was clean and organize.service from personnel was very good . we see that they need improvement in landscaping and to disinfect areas in resort to minimize flies and mosquitos. pools clean and other services was open with full assistance.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good but not Great!

This is my 5th trip to Cuba but first time to Cayo Coco. We booked 3 rooms; 2 ocean view and 1 super saver. The reception managed to get us all in the same room block. My room on the second floor was ocean view but was very disappointing. The room smelled of mold. The bedspread had black mold on it as did the wood around the doorframe and the wall was bubbled. The room next to us was much cleaner but the fridge didn't work and their was no hot water in the shower. I found outside the building that dishes were left for days before they were cleaned up. The gardens, pool area and beach was great and well kept. We ate at the buffet restaurant most days as the food was good. We ate at the Mexican a la carte and were disappointed at the food, service and display. We didn't book at the other a la carte restaurants as we heard similar reviews. I love to go to Cuba as I love the Cuban people. Most of the staff here I found to be friendly and nice with the exception of the lobby bar staff who were miserable and the drinks that they made were a reflection of this. Overall, I would not return to this hotel and although rated 4 stars, I would rate it a 3 at best.

every thing was nice except they need to disinfect areas outside for flies and mosquitos. rooms large and clean, service so nice beach clean and good service from bar snack pools nice and in good conditions, they need more improvements on landscaping areas inside resort.
