Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful

Very comfortable and friendly. Wonderful theater and shows. Good programs for children. Staff work very hard to do more than required. Very clean rooms and staff always cleaning up in the more public areas. Most staff never seemed to expect a tip but were gracious when they got it.

Playa Costa Verde: Awesome Resort!

While staying at the Playa Costa Verde we enjoyed the well maintained grounds, the beautiful beach & the warm Carribean waters! The staff are so friendly & will do whatever they can to make your stay with them memorable - whether it is bringing you morning coffee or after dinner drinks. The meals were fantastic & the rooms were very comfortable.

Playa Pesquero: Playa Pesquero Premium

We checked in the the hotel and our room and quickly upgraded to the premium side. We found the first room very tired looking and the resort too busy with people. When we went to the premium side, we had truly come to paradise! Superior accommodations, food and service with blessed quiet and no disco!!! Adults only. Worth the extra $1000. Service was amazing and the food was quite good for Cuba. Lovely beach and pool. Spa and gym and nothing crowded. Nice and lazy and luxurious!

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: A great resort with amazing staff

Our 10 day stay at Luna Mares was amazing. Our room was adequate, nothing fancy but had all we needed. Even though we paid for a standard room we had a breathtaking view of the ocean. We tried all the a la carte dinners and they were fantastic. The buffet restaurant was poorly organized which lead to long line ups but they had lots to offer. The staff  [... read more]of this hotel is what makes it so special. They genuinely care about their guests and although it is not a 5 star resort, you certainly get 5 star service.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great Resort, Price is right

This hotel is huge. 3 receptions(one not in use), 7 pools(some quiet, some busy, and a kids pool). There are 2 buffets, we found the best one in the Guardalavaca hotel had the best best food. 5 a-la-cart restaurants, excellent. 5 snack bars/restaurants which 1 is a 24 hr snack bar/bar. They even had poutine and pizza. If you go, upgrade from "The barracks" to a Villa or for a little more a Bungalow. The 2 Hotels had good rooms also. They are remodeling 1 of the barracks buildings now, but there [... read more] is 4 of them. (very small dingy, musty rooms). There are 3 beach area's, 1 is very small and quiet, with no services. Another has a pirate ship for a bar, and is small also. The large beach area runs into the public beach and the locals are around you a-lot. There is no bar here either, unless you run up to the pool bar, for a drink. The beaches do not have washrooms. They are gorgeous though. Next to the main beach, there are bars, local pizzeria, and foods. These are not included in your package. At the end of the main beach, 10 minute walk, you can walk up to 4 different lobster/food restaurants. "Lynda Luna" is the new one and the food is great. Great variety of fish, chicken, beef, and pork everywhere. Cooked to your liking. Fly with Cubana Airways, they still serve food on there flights, and provide extra excursions for free. (local native village) Fun Fun. Had a great 2 weeks at this resort.

Sol Turquesa Beach: would not go back..

first of all they would not honour our request of room. Second of all had no water for two days. Than had nothing but cold water for three days.The food in the main restaurant . was cold every day. The special restuants was our best eating... The grill on the beach was very good. The drinks were also good. The pools were good but cold. or the most part the ppl were friendly. If u cant walk don't GO. The after supper entertainment was awesome.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Great Vacation

Three girls traveled to Brisas for a week and we had a fabulous time. Thoroughly enjoyed the horseback riding with Juan Carlos through the local village and to the bat cave. We walked off the resort everyday and felt safe and was always greeted with friendly hellos by the locals. Beach was beautiful and clean. We will return

Sol Turquesa Beach: Disappointed

First off....the staff are friendly and helpful. No complaints there. I was overall disappointed though. I went on this vacation with people who had mobility issues. Not a great choice as you will be climbing lots of stairs or walking up elevated roads. The entire resort is built on a hill. My friend had to take the shuttle anywhere he needed to go but it was difficult to get one. They don't have benches along the road where he could rest while waiting for the shuttle. This proved to be very dif [... read more]ficult for him. We had one day where there was NO running water in the room and 4 days without any hot water. Lots of very cold showers all week. My first room had a strong sewage smell in the room every time I ran water. So gross. The second room had no outdoor lights on the building or walkway..I had to walk back alone in the dark. This freaked me out as I had to walk beside a wooded area to get to my building. The food in the buffet is cold unless you are willing to wait in long lines for fresh stuff off the grill. The Cuban Restaurant on the beach is best for breakfast and lunch. Not as many people go there. The snack bar at the beach has great pizza. Difficult to get money changed at their bank. Ran out of money, long lines and sometimes bank closed when it should be open. This is a pain as you need your passport to change currency. I finally just gave up. The pools are beautiful. The beach is nice. Lots of shade if you are seeking it.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Wonderful Vacation

Three of us girls just got back from a fabulous week. The local people and staff were all great, friendly and welcoming. We went for daily walks off the resort and were greeted by the friendly locals and always felt safe. The resort is very clean with a beautiful wide beach. We will be returning.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Beautiful People, Beautiful Resort

Stayed in a mini villa suite, comfortable King bed, clean, plenty of hot water and pressure, coffee maker and fridge with a beautiful ocean view in Building 5 room 5206 very sweet maid who created wonderful towel art everyday. Beach was very wide and had no problem finding a spot even in the afternoon, met some wonderful locals and would recommend horseback riding with Juan Carlos who has stables across the road from the Villa lobby as well as his son Jose for a carriage ride and off resort dinn [... read more]er at La Maison (awesome food, view and service). Will be returning for sure!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Comfortable Resort

It was difficult to book the A-La-Cart restaurants for a convenient time. Although I lined up to make reservations to The Italian restaurant upon my arrival to the hotel. The earliest time I could obtain from the reservation desk was 8:00 pm. This is way too late for me, as I take medication with my meals.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing Resort

The hotel, staff at Club Amigo were all fantastic, Had an amazing 7 day vacation with the family will defiantly be going back again.There was a screw up by the travel agency and the staff at the resort could not do enough to help us fix the issue. Cant wait till next winter and go again.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Love this spot

This was my second trip to brisas. I had a great vacation . The hotel, food, beach, and grounds are exactly what I am looking for. The entertainment crew are the best of any resort I have been to. The entertainment itself is fun and just enough.. I will not hesitate to go again.

Playa Pesquero: Nice Resort.

Large in size but after a while figured out some short cuts to get around clean well maintained staff friendly with good service. Rooms kept clean with friendly room service. Beach amazing beautiful white sand great for morning walks could be longer not as long as Cayo Santa Maria but worked out fine. Shows/entertainment was good every night have no issues with this place would go back if pricing was inline.

The resort was small so it was easy to get around. I found our room was very accessible to the beach and restaurants. Grounds were lovely. The rooms are a little dated but were very clean. The staff were very friendly. Food was very good. I would highly recommend this resort to others.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Amazing postcard view from our balcony

We have just returned from a week at the Sol Rio de Luna y Mares. This was my ninth vacation in Cuba and the people are just as welcoming as ever. Having spent vacations in other countries, it is the friendliness of the people that keeps drawing me back. We were located in building four on the fourth floor and had the convenience of the elevators to get to our room. The view from our balcony was spectacular. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment in the theatre, the lobby and the pool area. Our [... read more] room was cleaned daily and it was always spotless. The main lobby areas and washrooms were also kept tidy and clean. The buffet provided breakfast, lunch and dinner. You shouldn't go hungry with a good selection of food to choose from including pasta and fresh fish and meat grilled to your request. We enjoyed the four course dinners at the Italian, French, Mediterranean and Cuban restaurants where you had a variety of options to choose from. We were also treated to an evening for returning Melia guests where we enjoyed a Cuban band, champagne and a lovely lobster dinner served to us outside near the Lunes lobby. The beach is beautiful and you will find lots of beach chairs to lounge on. You can enjoy the shade of the trees or sit under the thatched umbrellas along the beach.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Awesome Stay

MY boyfriend and I loved it here. Food was pretty reasonable, atmosphere was super friendly, lots to do, excursions were fun! I highly recommend the Jeep Safari ride! Lots of stuff in the evening to do as well! Highly recommend this place. The beach was beautiful and it turned out to be a peaceful getaway!

Playa Costa Verde: Good value for the money

The grounds and hotel are nice. Pool and beach are very nice and ppl were very friendly. Can always find something to eat and was able to eat at the a la carte restaurants often without reservations. The rooms are very basic but clean. No plugs in the rooms work but...it cuba, relax and enjoy it. If you have traveled to Cuba before you will have realistic expectations. It is very inexpensive for a holiday and overall this was very good value for the money.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Best beach ever

Second stay at this Cuban resort. Best beach ever. Food has improved and is now acceptable. After changing rooms we were happy with accommodation. The only negative is that the resort is needing maintenance.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: It was a great resort.

This was a great hotel. Yes I would recommend it. The only problem was the shortage of beach chairs and also, we didn't like the stray cats hanging around. They weren't really a bother, just didn't like it.
