Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Nice Resort

Enjoyed the room and surroundings. Nice and quiet resort. Staff was always friendly even with the language difference. Food was good sometimes not as hot as you would like but still edible. Only thing i did not like was the almost all inclusive. Signing for drinks everytime was a pain and having no wine for dinner unless you bought the whole bottle was wrong. Just go back too all inclusive.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Best sun destination vacation

The resort was amazingly kept. The grounds were beautiful, the room was perfect. The food was very good wether you chose to go eat at the buffet or the a la carte restaurants. All the staff were pleasant, kind and courteous. Always with a smile. I travelled with my sister and we felt safe at all times. The beach was always clean and no shortage of palapas. We will definitely return.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Nice resort

The hotel could have used better workmanship when fixing or repairing things, especially when it came to painting or staining. Public areas and grounds were kept clean and organized. Food was good especially in the buffet. The room was nice and kept clean but the washroom layout was terrible as it had no privacy between the wash up area and the toilet. The toilet door had privacy on half the door, the toilet flush was very noisy and there was no sound barrier when using the toilet.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great vacation

First things first. I've been to many resorts in DR and I can truthfully say this place by far has the best food around. Always fresh, different dishes daily. A job well done by the resort staff. We went to 1 a la carte because the buffet was that good. The grounds were meticulously clean, as was the pool. Mikes Cafe was great for a specialty coffee and desserts. Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Come For The Resort Leave With PTSD

We were told by a person that a woman approached them saying they were being being human trafficked. After forming a group to approach staff to inform them we were repetitively dismissed with staff ignoring the person who was being trafficked suffering from seizure, showing obvious signs of impairment from GHB or other date-r*pe type drug(s), and was asking the group for help. The staff and security hid their badges, told us incorrect names, and threatened us with the police if we did not be qu [... read more]iet because it was “a family hotel”. When our group got back to Canada, we reported this to local and international police forces as well as governmental bodies. As for the resort. The beer was all right, the food was repetitive, and the wine made people several guests “black out drunk” after drinking one glass.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Resort was great

To many March breakers they did advertise no March breakers but some how they figure a way around it. Everything else was great. Great beach great Food great service. Entertainment needs some work was to far to go for rui party

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Not good at all

The resort is bad, and the food is awful. They just want to sell you the time sharing with a new name (Pay over 67000$ and become a Viva club member!) Just don't go to that place. I don't recommend it at all.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Resort!

This resort was incredible from start to finish! Staff were absolutely incredible, most notably Miguel from the front desk made this our best trip ever. This is a rather large complex of resorts but the trolleys and the friendly drivers made it an fun adventure every time. Food was top notch with so many options to choose from. Was not disappointed once during our stay; we are already planning our next visit.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana Hammock: Amazing Resort Hotel

If you like beach walks though ,it's not the place for you..thats the negative Food was very good ,probably best choice was buffet and the Rum Runner for Lunch and the LandShark for Supper Pool was great and activities were very doable for all ages..

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Fantastic resort!

Secrets Tides is one of the best resorts I have stayed at! Very clean (only two months old!) and the beach is endless with white sand and literally no seaweed. Variety of a la cartes and the buffet restaurant offers different food items every day - always fresh! Staff is always willing to help and are always friendly and courteous!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: No beach chairs, resort and rooms were small, very clean and safe resort, lots of variety of food

This is an adults-only resort. I travelled on my own via Air Canada. The shuttle at the airport was easy to find thanks to the staff onsite. Compared to the Royalton Bavaro, the room is VERY small, I would say 2 times smaller, it felt cramped. Fridge is stocked with water and sodas. If you had 2 luggages, it would be tight to have them opened up. I used the safe, that's important. Resort was very safe and clean. There's security everywhere, and people to help you. I felt the staff at the  [... read more]buffet was unhappy, no smiles, how are you. Even the hostess greeting me was fed up with her job, that's the sense I got. It was always the same question: "Room number, how many people, any food allergies?" I figured out that since tipping was included at this resort, they won't go the extra mile. And they don't speak much English. The resort is small, boutique feeling, in a way it's good so you can find you way around easily. However, there's a lack of pool and beach chairs, I heard you have to arrive at 6:30 am and leave your towel, a book or anything to secure a spot. I ended up sitting in the round chair by Munchies, no shades, they were comfy but you don't see the action. The evening entertainment was by the lobby, there's no giant theatre at this resort and no Michael Jackson show. I didn't check out the nightclub. Drinks were very sweet, full of sugar, with little alcohol. If you are smart, ask them for a shot of gin, whisky...it's an all-inclusive. Buffet wasn't as extensive as the Royalton Bavaro, it's small but there's lots of food, they never run out, there's a variety of dishes from fresh grilled seafood, cheeses, breads, Asian, Italian, cold seafood, cold cuts, desserts. Nobody will be hungry. I didn't try the restaurants onsite (Indian, Hunter steakhouse and Italian), and there's no reservations required. There's a nice coffee bar with lots of cookies, cupcakes and fruits. The lobby also has fruits, which is a healthy option. Gym is also small, great variety of equipment and it was empty when I went in mid-afternoon. There are lots of activities like pilates, kayak competition, bootcamp, Spanish lessons, painting. I found the reps from the Royalton hotel sitting downstairs of my building to be ANNOYING. They key asking for my room number, if I came alone, am I married, all nosey questions that are none of their business. They were trying to sell me the Diamond package for future travel. I would suggest you simply say: I am no interested and move on. I won't return to this resort due to its size and lack of chairs, that was super disappointing. Once is enough.

Playabachata Hotel: Good for the money

Beautiful beach, nice pool area. Clean. Food was not that great, very repetitive. The service at the buffet very bad. Had quite a few complains about the room, that no one really cared. Simply no towels and blankets.

Grand Bavaro Princess: beautiful resort

loved this resort, stayed in the family all suites section, may 22-29, 2024. Travelling with my husband, daughter and grandson. the family section is close to restaurants, main bar, entertainment. favorite restaurants, la tratoria, la hacienda and the Tapanyaki was amazing. Santos our chef was very entertaining 24 pub available and the main buffet was very good too. huge selection. the young man who cooked my fresh omelete each morning was so delightful, as well as the staff who work ha [... read more]rd each and every day to ensure you have a great vacation. i dont have all of their names however appreciated their wonderful service. Please tip them, alot of visitors dont leave anything which is unfortunate, they work so hard, there from breakfast to supper, working 12 days straight. this resort is huge, if your a beach person, you would need to take the train from the family section. we could have walked however, beach gear and a 2 1/2 year old, it would have been hard. the beach is pretty busy, lots of people reserve the shaded beach chairs very early dominican requires a $20 US departure tax to be paid at the airport...wish sunwing would just include this in their billing,

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Resort with great potential

We vacationed at this resort from February 26th to March 11th (two weeks) and throughly enjoyed very single day. The resort was a former Be Live brand, but was purchased by Hyatt hotels refurbished, and re branded to Sunscape of which they also have two other resorts in the Dominican Republic. During our visit they were still refurbishing the last one third of the resort which explains why our stay did not feel over crowded. The staff were the best we have ever meant, helpful, always smiling a [... read more]nd greeting use, and more than willing to go out of their way to make our stay memorable. The food was top notch at both of the buffets and all of the restaurants and again the staff and cooks were what made the dining experience so good. You did not have to wander very far, and you were at another bar be it anywhere on the resort, and all of the bar staff were great, did not scrimp on the alcohol, would talk and joke with you and would remember you. ( a U S dollar goes a long way, and don’t scrimp). We also left a tip each day for our room cleaning and had no shortage of anything in our room. Our room had been renovated, tons of hot water, and everything was fine. ( a set of dresser drawers would be nice) On our arrival we were upgraded to Sun club room, which was a pleasant surprise, along with our ground floor pre request. We were in block three building which is Sun club with children allowed,but building two and one was for adults only Sun club upgrade. Because we are two adults only, we were able to eat and drink at Sun club bars and buffet which was very nice. In closing we both can not say enough about Sunscape Coco, Don’t pass this resort up, it will only get better ❤️‍? once the refurbishment is done, and more rooms, pools, splash park, and restaurants are opened up. I know we will be coming back soon .

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing resort

The resort was amazing , the staff were very friendly , the buffet food was ok not bad But Al Cart restaurant were amazing you just need to book in advance. The entertainment team were amazing we had so much fun with them , special thanks to DEIVI and Carlos can’t thank you enough, you guys made our vacation special. The room were clean , the hotel washrooms were so clean I was so surprised.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great resort!

One of the best resort that we have been too! Very clean, hospital, great food, very friendly staff. Many options for restaurants. Love the drinks, many variety. Love how big the resort is. Very spacious. Pool was nice and warm. They go above and beyond! Highly recommend the resort. 5 star out of 5.

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Amazing Resort

Very nice adult only resort- beautiful beach, lots of beach chairs and shade- rooms were very comfortable, comfy bed, lots of hot water, A/C , nice balcony We really enjoyed the food at the fusion and seafood restaurants. We used the gym everyday and good equipment and well maintained- yoga and acquafit every day We really loved the layout of this resort as close to ocean and pool and not to big. Also super friendly staff- only a 25 min drive from airport- Highly recommend and will be back

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Great vacation!

Sunscape Resort had the greatest staff considering the resort is closing at the end of April. There was a good selection of food and drinks. The spa was excellent with good deals offered. The rooms were OK. Nothing spectacular. We did get locked inside the room due to a malfunctioning lock but called front desk and was resolved with a new lock. Also one of our party came home with Travellers Diarrhea which had to be treated by going to local Emergency. We did use the resort doctor for a [... read more] treatment of an unknown rash. Nice there is a 24 hr doctor on site. Transportation around Puerto Plata was good and between hotel and airport. Lots of great excursions to pick from.

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Great resort

Very clean. Had to switch rooms the first night because air conditioner didn’t work properly. Staff around resort excellent. The speciality restaurant served great food. The buffet typical for dominion republic. Theatre entertainment was awful sorry staff but needs an update. Suggest announcing and more activities around the pools.

Coral Costa Caribe: Excellent resort

I stayed at the coral costa caribe 14 yrs ago and decided to go there again in Mar.24. Upgrades are great. Rooms are always clean showers amazing never ran out of hot water. Grounds are kept clean as are food areas and the sports bar. Only thing I would suggest is a new way to book al a cartes. 6 am line up everyday while on vacation is not acceptable. Maybe be able to book online before the trip or even during the trip for any day not just the day of.
