the hotel was great . it was very clean and it was amazing that our room was cleaned everyday . very tropical feeling . the view from our ocean view room was fantastic . food was really good as well . the staff was very friendly all around

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: 4 out of 5 for this Resort

The beach is awesome. I don’t think the pool filter was working properly as there was some white stuff floating off to the sides everyday. There are 3 speciality restaurants. I would not recommend dinner at Uncle Tony’s as the steak was not lean and very greasy. The evening that we dined there, the servers were arguing with the chef so that made for a bad experience. On the other hand we loved the food Jambalaya/Cajun Restaurant and the regular buffet always had a good selection. The food an [... read more]d service were great. The kids club was not that great- the girl who worked there hardly interacted with the kids as she was always on her phone. There are 3 Iberostar properties in the same area. I think I would book the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites next time when travelling with kids as they seem to have a better kids club and are a newer property. Overall we had a great time- loved the lattes at the lobby bar, rooms were nice, fitness facility had extensive equipment and lots of classes, entertainment was good. I would rate this property 4 out of 5 stars.

From the minute we arrived in Jamaica we were very impressed, the airport was great. The drive to the resort was short. We can't say enough positive about our stay and the beautiful staff at this resort. Beach was great. Food was fabulous and the staff were just so so friendly. Not a big resort, perfect size-easy access to everything. Felt safe our entire time. Highly recommend and we will be returning.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Not a 4 Star Resort

The buffet was the same thing day in day out, fish, chicken and pork. The only seasoning consisted of a bit of salt and maybe pepper. They should try using a few herbs to go with the salt. Dishes in the buffet were never identified so you didn't know what it was. There was no bacon at breakfast ever but they had roast pork on a regular basis. The beach was sandy but there were too many weeds and you couldn't go in very far. JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Best Resort Yet!

Iberostar Grand was immaculate. Cleans twice daily and constant painting, upkeep etc during our stay. Staff were always super friendly and helpful and they upgraded our room because we were on our honeymoon. We can't say enough about the food! Hands down best we have had and every night including the buffet! Will definitely be going back!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Great Family Vacation at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites

My husband and I and two kids, aged 16 and 19, stayed here in early May. Location is great, very close to the airport. The weather was great except for a few major downfalls, which were over fairly quickly. I didn't notice any bugs, which was fantastic! The property is very, very clean and well looked after. We asked for adjoining rooms through our travel agent at Trip Central, and by calling the resort directly. Sadly, this request was not honored, perhaps because there were multiple weddings [... read more] on the go and our children were older. Our kids were given a room a few doors down from us and happily our keys could open their door. Free Wi-Fi throughout the resort meant we were always able to keep tabs on them, unless the Wi-Fi cut out, which it did from time to time. Our rooms were 4422 and 4419. They had great views of the resort, pool and ocean, and so quiet! We thought the rooms were lovely, spacious and spotless. Bed linens were very nice but the pillows were hard. Our bed in 4422 was HUGE. Our room came with robes, which were heavenly! My daughter called down to order up a few for their room. The kids also ordered room service every night. I think they got a big kick out of that. They loved the mozza sticks, which always arrived steaming hot with a spicy gravy and ketchup! The food at the buffet was great. I loved the crepes with real whipped cream and fruit every morning! It would have been nice to have had a mimosa station as I have seen in other resorts. Mimosas took forever to be delivered, which was disappointing. We were all in love with The Coffee Shop. The kids were in heaven. Some of their favorites were chai latte, peach lemonade iced tea, caramel Frappuccino, and my son adored the white chocolate Frappuccino with no coffee, always served with lots of whipped cream! Hubby and I loved our daily cappuccinos. My whole family agreed that the Steak House restaurant was fantastic! Steaks were tender and so flavorful! Beach lunch was great! Gourmet Restaurant was great, the calamari was amazing with candied slivered onions hidden underneath. Total yum! The steak was good, but not as good as at the Steakhouse. The Mediterranean Restaurant was not the best, with poor service and almost inedible mains- my cannelloni was so hard I could only eat part of the middle. It was also disappointing that they did not seem busy and yet the wine was not served until the end of the first course. On a positive note, the apps, which were serve-yourself, were pretty good and the dessert we chose, crème brûlée, although not a true crème brûlée, was delish with a sugary coconut cookie underneath. The pool was fun, and we never had to wait more than a minute to be served by the awesome bar staff at the swim up pool bar. We loved the ping-pong tables and giant connect four game beside the pool. The kids also joined in on some fun games of water polo in the activity pool. The lazy river was pretty but very, very lazy. Lol. Entertainment was great and not in your face, more low key than at other resorts I have been to, and yet fun. Water aerobics actually gave a bit of a workout, which was nice. The infinity pool was beautiful attached to the beach, which was clean, lovely, and very calm. We took out kayaks one day- FUN! My husband and son did a bit of sailing as well, which they loved! Night time entertainment was hit or miss. I did not enjoy the newlywed game. It seemed a bit silly. The Beyoncé show was incredible. We really liked going to the music bar at night. It was fancy and cozy with pool tables and foosball. The manager and some of the entertainment crew would challenge my son to games. This was one of the little extra touches that made the vacay that much more special. The karaoke selection was very limited, which was a bit of a disappointment. Iberostar, you need to work on that. :) If you decide to visit the spa, or gym you won't be disappointed. I had the best hot stone massage of my entire life there. Charmaine was so very sweet and very skilled at working out my knots. My daughter had Carmen, who was wonderful as well. Take advantage of the offerings while you are there, go in the pools, the sauna, and then to the juice bar, which is fabulous! The juice they make is so fresh, exotic and healthy! All in all, we had an unforgettable, stress-free vacation in a beautiful setting with people who want you to be happy. Well done, Iberostar.

Ground , Public Areas arel well placed . This Hotel Has great potential with a Modern Makeover Good food Products , Preparation skill lacking . Service is not uniformly carried out by all , but remain friendly . Hygiene is poor missing hand towel in public are mens wash rooms for three days. Broken gym equipment , Gym could be open at 5 am to 10 or 24 hours I would like to recommend this hotel but is sure need a makeover. We enjoyed our stay at aiberostar beach hotel, the food was amazing. The bat service was excellent, amazing service and beverage selections. the beach maintained daily. Hotel is staff very fun & kind & polite. Definitely will visit again :)

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Resort

This resort is small but has everything you need. Food is great, pool is nice, and the rooms are comfortable, although they could be cleaner. Please note that during the slow season (spring-summer months), they accept locals on the weekends, which makes it very busy and loud. We found it particularly inconvenient because we were there with kids, and the pool was less accessible to us during those days. Otherwise, good resort.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Ok Resort

My 12th time to Cuba. I was expecting a little more being an Iberostar resort. Maybe because of the last hurricane it would have been better. People in Cuba are the friendliest and here they were except the younger girl at the front desk. It took forever to get into our room the from lobby chairs were digusting you would not even want to sit on them. lots of rain and leaks in the back of lobby. Loose tiles or missing on the stairs. Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Disappointing resort,

The resort was very disappointing. The 24 hour snack bar had a menu but you could only order one or two items on the menu. Most of the other items were not being prepared on that day. The buffet restaurant was very disappointing with regards to hours of operation and the menu never changed from day to day. You could not get the ala carte dinners you wanted as they only had 2 of their 4 restaurant's open on any given day. If you missed your seating time by 5 min. you were denied access. The over  [... read more]all management of the establishment was very bad. The place has been open less than a year yet it looks like it is 20 years old. The so called stocked bar fridge only had 2 beer , 2 sodas and one bottle of water and if you left half a bottle in the fridge they did not leave you another. The amount you pay for elite status is a total waste of money. it seems the more you pay the less you get. Over all I would not recommend this resort to anyone. In fact based on this experience I will not return to Cuba at any time in the future. It is too expensive and way over rated as a resort destination.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Nice Vacation

Casual atmosphere, not much of a party vibe. Nightly entertainment was terrible. The "pool party" wasn't much better. Thankfully I was there with a large group of friends, so we had fun on our own. Not a fan of the long walk from the the lobby to the beach, but the food was great at both the buffet and specialty restaurants.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Home away from home

My wife and I enjoyed our stay from May 08th to May 15th. We stayed in the Grand Village section of the resort and it was fantastic. This was our 6th trip back to Iberostar Ensenachos and we will be back again next year without question. This is our summer home away from home and the only negative thing I can say is that we can't stay longer (sad how we all have to work for a living- well most of us ;) There is not one bad thing to say about the resort- not one. There was some noticeable damage from the hurricane but it was only noticeable because we are familiar with the resort. There was no obvious or glaring issues if you were not a repeat guest. They worked very hard cleaning up and painting/repairing affected areas. The main lobby is awesome. Huge amount of work done and it shows. Notable additions on all beaches are the amount of palapas. I can't imagine anyone not getting one now. There are tons of them (WELL DONE!) With all the beauty around the resort, and all the great food we had to choose from (nobody would ever starve here- it's just not possible), what gives this resort its soul is the people. Once again we went back to visit our Cuban family and as always, are received with warm smiles and even warmer hugs. My wife and I will never tire of the comfort we have in our friends when we are here. The real soul of this resort are the people who make this place home. It's not even fair to call them "staff". They are so much more than that. none of them seem to treat what they do as a "job". It's more a way of life and they do everything they can to make someone happy as that is who they are. It's an amazing place with amazing people. Highest of recommendations without doubt. Completely top shelf.

Just returned from a week at the Iberostar (for the 5th time!) and it was excellent as always. Cannot say enough about the amazing staff here. We are also spoiled as members to have a cart to whisk us from one end of the resort to the other, our favorite drivers Samuel and Johan deliver us safely and quickly to any point on the resort that we wish to go. In the lobby Yunior, our muscle man is always ready to take those heavy packages (filled with organic chocolate from the Del Oro chocolate factory just up the road from here) to help us to our room. Our hats are tipped to alllllll of the amazing kitchen/cooking/serving staff. The food is endless, the variety is overwhelming and the flavors have never left us disappointed. These people work hard and serve up some of the yummiest cuisine that keeps us coming back for more. To round out the day and make every moment memorable the entertainment staff is never far away with a high five, crazy game or bang on dance moves. You will see Justin Bieber, WiFi, Blondie, Maria and countless others from the beach to the pool and everywhere in-between waiting to provide you with fun and laughter in the sun. Last but not least, easily overlooked are the grounds keepers and the cleaning staff. These people put in their fair share of hours each day keeping things looking fabulous and always greet you with a smile and a kind word. If you have not been here it may be time!

Hotel Mojito: Fantastic time!

My daughter and I stayed at the resort on April 20 for a week. The resort is very clean and our room was very spacious! We really enjoyed the shows every night and all the beautiful, colourful costumes and the tempo. Just made you want to dance all the time!! The food was good but, they just need to give a little more variety. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Good resort - hit or miss food

Everything was great however sometimes the buffet was great, sometimes it was meh. If your not a picky eater you should be able to find something that you enjoy most meals - but it was rare to want get seconds on anything.

We traveled with our two boys both under a year and a half old. The resort was very accommodating to young children. Extremely large resort however golf carts are willing to pick you up at many locations. Food was fantastic, rooms for extremely clean. We can't wait to come back and visit again
