Riu Palace Antillas: Amazing Resorr

We went to the Rui Palace Antilles for our honeymoon. We chose the Riu brand based on our previous experience with Riu. The Palace Antilles has superb service, great restaurants and amazing beaches. We were totally pampered at this luxury resort! We cannot wait to return!

Riu Republica: AMAZING

This was our first time in any Caribbean destination but we were SO impressed. Amazing facilities and programming, the food was so good, great beach area with little tiki huts, and even a water park in the resort! The pools were awesome, loved the in-water lounging chairs. It's a big resort but not ridiculously spread out like some of them seemed to be when we picked up others for excursions. Super happy. Would absolutely recommend.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great resort

Hotel was really nice, rooms were remodeled, shower was fantastic. Pool are the smaller side and too warm for me. The beach was amazing clear and clean. There was someone each day to take a chair and umbrella to your spot. Dinner buffet was very good only part was you could not make reservations to restaurants on resort. Entertainment non existent however you could walk over to Atlantis and much to do there. Riu Reggae: Will return

I liked everything about this hotel.. If I had any complaints it would be that there isn't a coffee maker in the rooms or a magnifying mirror in the bathroom.Also the club at Riu Montego Bay is very small for dancing. Their buffet is a small room with not alot of choice's. But the restaurants on the resort make up for it. They are very good. Also my favorite lunch was the jerk chicken hut on the beach. The 2 pools are very clean and the staff at the pool bars are very friendly. My favorite bartender is Sharon. You have to try a Jamaican smile drink.. The lifeguards are such hard workers. These very hard workers get the pool and pool area perfect for us each morning. The also are ready to help us if we are hurt. Or are ready to save your life if needed. Do me a favor. These hard working lifeguards don't get tips. Make their day and hand them a few dollars. The rooms are always so clean by the terrific cleaning staff.The beds are very comfortable. I can go on and on about Riu Reggie.love it there. Will be going back next year.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing!

The hotel was great, very clean, staff was amazing! I would highly recommend. The only down fall was the beach; however, the location of the steak house on the beach was excellent. I recommend dining here during your trip with the view of the sunset.

Riu Santa Fe: Large, clean, family friendly resort, amazing location!

We had a wonderful time travelling with two small kids. The staff were very helpful and responsive, and the food was very good (stick with the tacos). The resort is big enough that you can be near the drunken party action if that is your thing, or avoid it and be in a relatively quiet room. The beach is not swimmable because of a strong undertow.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Simply Amazing !

This was the best experience in my life overall. The service from every angle possible was impeccable. There was not a day that went by that I wasn’t pleased by the treatment, the cleanliness of the resort, and the respect from everyone including guest. I’m currently looking at flights to go again to the palace by the end of the year.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Good but not great

I go on vacation to relax and get away from the noise and stress of the big city life. I want calm and a noise free environment. This did not happen. Extremely noisy all the time on the beach. I was trying to read on the beach while a gardener was mowing the lawn with a weedeater. It took 2 hours. The following day, another gardener came with a leafblower for another 2 hours and they did it again 2 days later. Never mind the music and screams from the pool area - I was expecting that. But we hun [... read more]g out at the extremity of the beach in order to have peace and quiet and just read our books and swim. So the constant gardening was really annoying and kept us from really relaxing. The food was exquisite, the service was really outstanding and the room comfortable. The hotel is no longer a 5 stars, more like an ageing 4 stars. And the constant noise coming from boats passing by and the gardeners with their gas tools and their four-wheelers added to a stress I was trying to get rid of.

Riu Palace Peninsula: This a fantastic resort, highly recommended

The grounds are well kept and beautifully landscaped. The view from room 1631 is a sight to behold. We photographed ourselves each night before dinner on the balcony using the sunset, the ocean with the pirates boats, and downtime Cancun as the background. We also photographed sunrise in the morning using the same background. Our sincere thank you to Maria who cleaned our room and many thanks to Madai and Reyes who looked after us both at breakfast and lunch. These three staff members treated us [... read more] like family during our two-week stay. The entertainment staff was great led by Eric, Carlos, and Angel. Over the the two weeks we took over 4000 pictures including activities by the beach, pool, and the Latina theatre. The Mexican, Mayan, and Michael Jackson shows were fantastic. The food and drinks were great. However, one sour note is that all three of us got sick from the food so proper hygiene practices must be in place at all times to prevent this from happening.

Riu Negril: Honest review

We had an amazing stay at the Riu Negril. Our part of 6 included myself and my best friend (27), my daughters (8 and 2) and my mother (54) and her friend (60) so it’s safe to say we had all the age groups covered, and we all had a blast! The food of kmmbeing honest was not good. There was very little authentic Jamaican food, which was one of the things I was most excited about. The staff at the hotel were amazing. They were Very warm and friendly and VERY ACCOMIDATING. All and all it was a good trip very relaxing. The fact that there were multiple pops was good. The swim up pool was where the party was, amazing time there.

Riu Palace Antillas: Highly recommend

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at this beautiful resort. We were extremely pleased with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff. The food was amazing and the resort spotlessly clean. The beach and water was perfect. We felt very safe, and unlike other resorts we've visited there is no need for a gated community or armed security. We could walk freely anywhere and take the bus into town. It surely is one happy island as they say.

Riu Flamingos: HORRIBLE PLACE

STAFF HAS ATTITUDE, THREE-TIME I CALL FOR SERVICE IT WAS NOT ADDRESSED, NEXT DAY AGAIN SAME STORY. A/C WAS NOT WORKING FOR THREE DAYS FINALLY I CALLED FRONT DESK MR. DEAGO WAS VERY RUDE. FINALLY, I SAID CAN I SPEAK TO MANAGER, DEAGO TOLD ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT IT WILL TAKE 24Hrs TO SPEAK TO MANAGER.I SAID WHAT 24Hrs, I WANT TO SPEAK TO HIM NOW. DEAGO TOLD ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT. I TOLD HIM YOU WANT ME TO COME DOWN AND FILE REPORT FOR SERVICE I AM IN UNDERWARE? AT 8.00PM I REPORTED INCIDENT TO MANAGER RABECCA. SHE SAID I AM SORRY. AS IF SHE DO NOT CARE STRESS GIVEN TO ME BY DEAGO AND 3DAYS OF NO AIR CONDITION. AFTER CHECKING OUT I TALK TO FRONT DESK MANAGER, HE WAS NOT AWARE OF INCIDENT. IT SOUND AS IF EVERYONE IS COVERING OTHER, THEY DO NOT CARE FOR CUSTOMER. FOOD WAS NOT THE RIU QUALITY, SOMETIMES TODAY FOOD WAS SERVED NEXT DAY.EVERYDAY LAMB CURRY MEAT WAS RUBBERY.

Riu Republica: FANTASTIC RESORT!

This hotel was amazing! definitely very lively and relaxing at the same time. My boyfriend and I travelled here for the first time and absolutely loved it. I definitely recommend any Riu Resort. The beach was absolutely wonderful.. the only issue I would say about the beach is to head there super early in the morning to grab a shady spot. If you don't go early enough you won't get a good seat. All around a great hotel, great food, fun games, the swim up bars are fantastic. Definitely 5 star!!

Riu Palace Bavaro: Riu Palace Bavarro , Punta Cana

Just returned from the Dominican Republic where I stayed with a friend at the Riu Palace Bavarro ( June 5th - 12th /2018 ). I have been there a few times prior to this visit and once again , was not disappointed. The hotel is kept immaculately clean, rooms freshened up daily, always lots of fresh towels each day. Staff always had a cheerful greeting each morning to guests. Only real negative thing I would have to say is that the food in the buffet could have been warmer. I noticed that the a la carte restaurants never seemed to be filled to capacity so not sure if that was an indication of what the food was like or not. The buffet did offer a wide range of food choices, so picky eaters could still find something that would agree with them. I also visited the other Riu hotels on the complex and did find that they had gone thru major renovations to bring them up to the Riu level one would expect. One , the Riu Palace Punta Cana was closed for reno's so did not get a chance to see inside that one but did notice they are expanding towards the beach area. I took a walk down the beach to visit the Riu Republica ( adults only ) and found it to be more of a young persons resort as it seemed to cater to the under 50 group. The hotel is set back quite a ways from the beach which is located behind a large sand dune. There are two main buildings set a fair distance apart. I spoke with a number of guests while having a drink and got a mix bag of responses. The hotel is new so going thru the early growing stages. Overall, the week was great and would have no qualms about going back. Big plus, the hotel is 20 minutes from the airport.

Riu Palace Antillas: Amazing Resort!

We arrived at the Riu Antilles to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and the resort by far exceeded all of our expectations. The service is exceptional with friendly and courteous staff, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the grounds are always clean and well maintained, the food was excellent with a variety to choose from and there was always excellent evening entertainment. Riu Palace Aruba: Old and Tired Resort

The tripcentral agent assured us the resort room we booked was newly renovated. even though i shared reviews on tripadvisor w her. we believed her. the rooms however were very old and damp. we paid an extra $500 to upgrade so it would not feel like we were sleeping in a dingy basement. i also reached out to her many times before we left w questions and got zero response. will not use tripcemtral again.

Riu Palace Aruba: Great all inclusive

Aruba was beautiful, can't go wrong with a Riu. The palace looks so pretty on the strip, which you can walk along the path and enjoy the view and little shops. Rick is great and responds very quickly and is so helpful. The weather was a bit windy sometimes, so pack something cozy for some nights, the desert is also really dry, be prepared to get dusty and protect yourself from the sun if you go on any desert outings. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Needs improvement

I love to travel, however I must mention I was very disappointed in this hotel. Beach was beautiful, however the food needs to improve, there was a sewer smell in the lobby. The room has a beautiful view no matter what the location is. As this hotel is a 5 star in Bahamas, the food was very disappointing!

Riu Republica: It was ok!

This resort was nice but slightly disappointing .. check in took way to long. A few buses arrived simultaneously and there were only 4 staff members to do check in .We were upset that we specifically booked with our kids to be in the same building as us and they ended up being ten minutes away on the other side of the resort . Very inconvienient when one was severely ill in the middle of the night. Food was ok . Specialty restaurants were terrible. Waited 40 minutes for reservation only to fi [... read more]nd out that they were all just buffets with same food as general buffet. Bathroom by pool was small and falling apart . Our room air conditioner never worked right even though we complained and had it fixed and our two of our booked roooms had broken showers upon arrival. Pools were warm/ hot. Not refreshing for June . No hot tubs or jacuzzi tubs on belconies which was disappointing considering adult only resort. Entertainment was typical and boring . Booked taxi to go to other Riu resorts for $20 round trip. Paid initial $10 one way , got to the other Rui only to find out they wouldn’t serve us there. When we tried to get taxi back to our resort they told us the taxi was now additional $45 but he would go down to $25. Had to walk back on beach . Took an hour! Should be complimentary transportation between resorts especially since only 5 minute drive . Service was great! Bar staff went out of their way . Staff was friendly. Beach was beautiful . Lots of pool chairs available , and plenty of room in buffet restaurant. However would not go back or recommend to others .

Riu Republica: By far the best resort!

10/10 for everything except the coffee. Horrible burnt tasting coffee. And the cappuccino’s should all be made out of the real coffee machine not the push a button and it’s done kind. Other then that, beautiful resort and I’ll definitely come back!
