Melia Varadero: Good resort
Needs a lot of renovation. Needs wheelchair access to the beach especially. Food not so good . Grounds was well manicure. Bed bugs in room and was bitten. Workers were helpful and polite. The maids was very helpful. Needs to have a plan for people who have to check out at 11:00 am and flight is 10:00 p.m. no where to shower and change.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines del Rey Cayo Coco
We just returned from our vacation at the Melia Jardines del Rey. The weather and the beaches were great. For the size of the resort there were sufficient beach chairs for all. Check in was quick, and informative. The Beach Towel Service was terrible. We were a group of 6, there were no beach towels available. After 24 hours i complained to the Air Transat Rep on site and had my towels within half an hour. Both Reps were amazing, and assisted/answered all questions, and went beyond their scope [... read more]

Memories Cayo Largo: A relaxing environment
-Grounds were well maintain - all food was cold ... it would be nicer hot - service was good - l would have enjoyed more activities - it would have been nice if the band played before or after the performances for guests to dance - the pool was well maintained - l was looking forward to a hot tub ... not a cold tub - the massages l had were fantastic - the resort was quiet, peaceful and relaxing - we did not have water on the morning of our last stay - it wo [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Fell in Love with Cayo Coco
My recent booking thru Rachel Guindon and TripCentral.ca to go to TRYP Cayo Coco in Cuba far exceeded my expectations. Rachel's expertise and patience with my questions made the experience stress free. Although TRYP Hotel and Cayo Coco had been extremely damaged by Hurricane Irma a few years back, they have done their best to make the hotel a wonderful and beautiful place to vacation. The beach is spectacular and the Cuban people on the resort and on the tours we took were exceptional, fri [... read more]
Hotel Camino del Mar: Wonderful Resort
Buffet had great options every day. The Beach is beautiful and usually had enough chairs laid out for everyone. We were part of a group of 18 and it is a small enough resort that we could easily find our friends. Staff were amazing, friendly and extremely entertaining. Depending on your room location, warm water was difficult to get in the shower. They did run out of cola a few days, but easily able to find another mix for drinks. Lots of fun mini excursions available from the front lobby or th [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Fit our family and budget
Take advantage of the excursions. The guides are fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. Bungalows are clean, and family friendly. Lots of food choices, fresh ingredients and stations. We took our own beach towels, bug spray and after bite which I highly recommend. Saved a lot of stress. Would recommend to everyone.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Ok but would not return
Second time to Cuba and third hot holiday. Everyone agreed the food was worse then exspected. The rooms were not nearly as nice as they looked online. Staff was not very nice or welcoming. The service for bars was very slow and hard to get the bartenders attention. We went days with out water or beer being restocked even after leaving notes with larger tips. I would recommend Iberostar veradero greatly over this resort. Usually people in Cuba are very polite but this resort they had a rude demea [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Large resort
My husband and I book this resort 1 week before leaving. Overall we had a good time but there were a few things that were a disappointment. The hotel was very large which meant line ups at the various beach bars, for the morning coffee, no towels (unless you paid a premium price), food was ok by Cuba standards. The staff expected a tip every they provided a service which we found disappointing. Service staff were friendly but it seemed that for the size of the hotel there just weren’t enough [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princesa Del Mar Resort
We thought the resort was wonderful! The service was very good and it being an all inclusive, they were not light on the liquids or the food. The buffet, am and pm, had a wonderful selection but the food could get cold before we sat down to eat. The omelettes and toasted sandwiches were the way to go. By the end of the week, we found our choice of foods that satisfied us. The beaches were lovely with clean, soft, white sand. The beach bars were very accommodating but could run out of one of [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Ok for the price
My first time in Cuba so wasn't sure what to expect but all in all it was ok. The lobby bar was awesome, food well it's at your discretion cause everyone has there own opinion but I advise to have food cooked in front of you. The rooms are nothing to be wowed about the cleaning staff never dusted washed the counter tops or tables & only had 2 beers in our fridge the first day. Our air conditioner broke but was fixed ASP thank god. Pool areas was nice & big. For the price I would go again kno [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Excellent Property
We visited this property the week of Feb. 2nd 2019. We found that it was a great property from the lobby to the pool our room and the beach. Entering the ocean could be challenging, water shoes were a big help, butt after a few trips in and you found the path between the rocks you were fine, and didn’t need the shoes. Walking right off the beach with mask and snorkel provide you with great view of various coloured and species of fish up to about 10â€. We took some bread with us and the fish s [... read more]
Paradisus Varadero: Paradisus
Greeting fellow Travelers, I thought it would be fair to share our experience in Cuba at Paradisus in Cuba. We had the lucky break of being upgraded to a very nice suite in the Family Concierge section - we have our Daughter's family join us with our 9 month old grandson. So nice start indeed. The weather was absolutely perfect - the beach is very pleasant to walk and had the luxury on our early morning walk to share some dolphins strolling the beach - rather cool. The food in C [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great
This was my first time in Cuba. It was overall great, though there was a bit that i did not like. I did enjoy going through the Varadero strip amd seeing all the different shops and restaurants. The beach was phenomenal as everyone says. The food was ok, not the greatest. Didn't like the time gap of the meals in the buffet restaurant.
Melia Varadero: Good resort. Give it a 4star.
Hotel needs update. Food was not that great very bland. Japanese was the best. Grounds was well manicured. Our room has bed bugs. We were bitten. Workers were amazing and extremely helpful. Needs ramps for access to wheel chair. People with wheelchairs could not go to the beach. Booking a specialty restaurant was next to impossible. Overall we had a good time because I went with my kids and grand children.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great vacation
We had a great stay at the melia peninsula resort in varadero. Granted the hotel is in the process of renovations but our accomadations were great, the food at the buffet and the A la carte restaurants was really good. The best thing about the resort was the friendly staff.
Melia Las Dunas: Loved every minute of it
We found this hotel to be lovely and clean. Bright airy huge lobby with friendly bartenders 24 hrs at the main bar. Entertainment was excellent every night with many different options for a la carte restaurants. Resort was neat and well looked after. Pool area was beautiful and we never had a problem with finding a lounger. No having to reserve at 6 in the morning. Beach loungers were plentiful as well. Beautiful beach area and shade available if needed. Beach bars and restaurants were awesome. [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Time!
Overall Fantastic! The hotel itself is relatively new showing some age and wear. Our room was very clean the maid I forgot her name (Nyala?) cleaned building 6 second floor was super clean, I saw her when she wasn't looking dust and mop behind and underneath the bed. The only thing that was annoying was the faucet and shower temperature in our room was super hot almost to the point of scalding. We basicly jumped in got wet shut it off shampoo then turned it on when ready to rinse. :( Custom [... read more]
Paradisus Varadero: “Kind regards†to eliana Anton
Hello.. so I bought the tickets from eliana Anton , which I was dissapointed with. First of all, her name sounds pure Romanian - just like mine- but she was denying her background. I requested king bed , but at the resort I was given 2 doubles attached to each other. Eliana made me understand that what I booked for was 5 stars hotel but really, was just 4. The royal service it was 5 stars. Mischieving I felt from her part.
