Riu Republica: Riu Republica is a good resort for social activites and parties

We thought that the resort catered well to those who are looking to socialize and have fun with friends or strangers. There was plenty to do in the resort and there was something new everyday that the entertainment team had to offer. With that said, I don't think it is worth staying here for more than 7 days as things will get repetitive. The grounds were well kept, clean, and obviously taken cared of. Riu Republica: Great getaway

The place was well staffed and the staff was all very friendly. The room was clean, cool and well stocked with amenities and beverages. The water pressure could have been better (but that's nitpicking) Pools were mostly well maintained, except the party pool which was foggy and had unknown objects floating (as to be expected.) Same items available elsewhere throughout the day were good, but it becomes inedible late at night. Also after 11pm/midnight - no good bar to just sit and have a quiet drink. Only options are sports bar and club, which was loud if your looking to just relax late at night. The entertainment was good overall, some hits and some misses . Don't bother going to the casino, it's terrible, small and a waste of an evening. Great vacation overall and thanks for the stay

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Would not go back!

Cindy is absolutely amazing! Thank you Cindy. I would not recommend this hotel. Dominican is beautiful but would not return to Ocean El Faro. Although there is a language barrier in another country, 90% of staff could not understand you and we could not understand them so anything you requested was “no” or was not correct what we asked for. The first 2 nights we did not put DND on the door, so we had coffee delivered at 10pm and staff just unlocked our door and walked in. The second night a [... read more]t 10:40 hotel staff were delivering towels and again, just unlocked our door and walked in. I called the front desk to let them know and they hung up on me. I think there just needs to be a timing restraint on rooms being equipped. I did not feel safe there at all. Our butler was really good though!

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Great week

We stayed a week at the Elegance Club and thoroughly enjoyed it. This resort is extremely clean and immaculately groomed. All staff were so friendly and always seemed to have a smile. You can eat at most a la cart without a reso without much trouble getting a seat. There are two restaurants that you do need resos for. We ate at the buffet only for breakfast and the food was great. Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Melia Punta Cana

Resort was very well kept and nice, but very large with the restaurant selection and times and availability a little frustrating, breakfast and lunch options were only available at the beach and the restaurants at the front area were only open for dinner. Pools and beach were nice but you must get a chair early as there are not enough for the main pool and the beach. we enjoyed the golf at the resort and spent a bit of time at the small casino at the Melia Caribe. I have stayed at each of the Melia resorts over the last 10 years and this was my least favorite.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Average resort

The Japanese Restaurant was over priced and the food was not cooked very good , issue with not chairs available at beach because everyone puts their towels there and leaves. The phone did not work to contact front desk. Wifi went in and out. Golf may be free but at 75.00 American to rent a cart that is no bargain. To stay there was over priced

Occidental Caribe: Ok resort

The resort wasn't anything special, the sink was clogged, the toilet only sometime flushed. There definitely were not enough loungers on the beach. The food was ok, nothing special. The staff were friendly. The a la carts booked very fast.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Awesome Time!

Great service, excellent food, and a wonderful place to go with or without the kids! The kids play area had organized activities each day. For example, my son played a 30 minute soccer game with 5 other kids and really enjoyed it! I would definitely come back here and would also recommend it to anyone.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very disappointing

I have travel to several of their resorts and will not return to this one! The service was minimal and the staff did not seem to know the most basic information about the hotel, such as where certain onsite restaurants where located - even the maps were inaccurate. The Gym was well equipped but half of the equipment was broken! The staff did not seem happy, even when tipped generously. The rooms are outdated and requires important upgrades as the amenities were non functional, including the jacu [... read more]zzi bath, tv. The food was particularly disappointing regardless of which buffet or restaurant we went to or the time - the coffee came from a free vending machine. There were just too many issues overall.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Lovely resort

The Hideaway was a beautiful resort. It is part of a larger family complex , so you will see children. We loved that it was a compact, very walkable resort, no need for golf carts to get anywhere. The beach is gorgeous and the Dorado Restaurant gives an ocean front view, fabulous ambience. We had a swim up room right by the Hideaway pool and enjoyed swimming in our own semi-private area. We were very happy with the service there, from our butler Nelio. He was inobtrusive, but always checking to see if he could help with anything. He booked restaurants and spa visits for us. Not so pleased with Sunwing, but that seems to be a common story these days.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: MAJESTIC MIRAGE RESORT , EXCELLENT RESORT

TH RESORT FROM THE ENTRANCE OF THE LOBBY TO THE OCEAN WAS VERY CLEAN AND THE STAFF WERE EXCELLENT. WHERE EVER YOU WENT THEY WERE THERE TO ASSIST IN ANY CAPACITY, AS TO BOOOKING A RESERVATION FOR DINNER OR EVEN HAVING ADRINKS IN THE LOBBY BAR. VERY SPACIOUS AND BRIGHT. TRS Turquesa: an excellent resort

I was very impressed with the resort, except for two negatives. The facility is spacious, well maintained and clean. As part of the Grand Palladium chain, all facilities in 3 adjacent properties were available for our use with endless choices for meals, a la carte restaurants and buffets. Each building has it own butlers who were most attentive to helping guests. Making reservations for a la carte restaurants was very easy, on line or with the butler. Entertainment in the main theatre was professional with ample other local party type and other activities. There were ample chaises available in busier as well as very in quiet areas. Staffing was abundant and obviously very well trained, polite, and attentive. Shuttle service was excellent. Negatives include lack of vegetarian options in several a la carte restaurants. As a mixed family group, carnivores and vegetarians, this was a problem. Secondly wait staff at Adelitas was horrible. I had to literally stand up and approach wait staff to get service. Because of these two negatives I would rate resort as 3 1/2 stars instead of 5.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice vacation but disappointed with beach

Overall the resort was nice. We were disappointed with the beach area. We were told that last fall’s hurricane did quite a bit of damage to it. I had read some reviews online before going - however - I didn’t think it would be as bad as it is! There really is no beach! Since there is no beach - everyone lounges by the pool area - therefore it was very difficult to find a lounger unless we got up very very early to reserve one. There are signs everywhere stating not to reserve loungers - how [... read more]ever there is nobody around to monitor this - so everyone reserved one anyway?! My husband was told you had to reserve a chair by 6 am in order to get one. He would go out in the middle of the night ( sometimes 3-4 in the morning) to reserve us chairs! Was ridiculous! I did comment on this when we left the resort. I will not be returning to this resort.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Great resort

The Tropical Princess is a very clean and well maintained resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food in the buffet was ok after we found what we liked. We ate at 5 of the restaurants and they were excellent. The tropical forest section is cool, there are many birds, ducks, turtles and iguanas to look at when travelling from the pool area to the main lobby. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: WILL COME AGAIN

This resort was amazing. Service was good, staff was amazing....and a special shout out to Robinson and Elby who worked at the pool bar during the week we were there with a group of 12 adults. Amazing servers!

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Family Friendly

We travelled with children 9,8 and 1.This hotel was gorgeous and clean, big enough to enjoy but small enough to run to the room and be back in 10min. Many pools to choose from with a nice kids area and another area with water slides. The Beach is beautiful with lots of chairs. Daily activities for adults and children. Entertainment nightly, live performers by the pool, shows in the theatre, games by the pool during the day. Minerva in the kids club is great with the kids and very active. We love the bartender Fabio he was so kind and was sure to take care of my kids when they approached the bar for a drink (non alcoholic of course). They made awesome drinks as well, Mango Margarita, Miami Vice, Pina Colada were my favourite. Lots of food to choose from the buffet at every meal. Our Air Transit Rep was Tony and he was super helpful he’s at the hotel from 9-12, he helped with scheduling our return ride. Also assisted us with booking our excursion, we went to Monkeyland and loved it ! We would definitely return to this resort !!!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Fantastic staff

Incredible staff - yoga instructors Chely and J Carlo helped this first time ever yoga student. I enjoyed 11 consecutive lessons. Ramona took great care of our family of 7 (including our 93 year old Dad) on the beach every day. She was a definite highlight of our vacation. Ruben gave my Dad lots of attention which he so enjoyed. Loved watching the vibe team dance. Front desk and concierge people were very helpful. Rooms cleaned beautifully every day. The entire resort was kept very clean always. [... read more] Buffet had lots of good options, again staff was very attentive. Other restaurants were mediocre in quality and service. Enjoyed several entertainment shows.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Very nice resort.

Allareas were clean, safe and very welcoming. All staff went above and beyond the normal to help with anything that you needed or wanted. Everyone tried to make sure to accommodate our group of 7 at all times.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Very nice place

Great place for a relaxing vacation. Very clean, both rooms and property. Nice pool. Beach is very good to walk on, but there was always seaweed washed up on shore. Not a deal-breaker. Plenty of dining options, but you had to reserve well in advance or miss out. Staff was generally excellent. It would be nice if they understood more English as that was an issue a few times. Special shout out to Maria who works mornings and lunch at the buffet. She brought a smile to our faces every day.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Amazing week!

Beautiful grounds. Clean rooms and food was amazing. Ate fish and salads all week with no concern for getting sick. Our butler Angel was great at taking care of all our needs. Highly recommend diamond club for the extra perks of a butler, access to flow rider and the water park at Royalton splash.
