Couples Negril: Amazing resort

Grounds always clean and beautiful, saw staff work on removing leaves in beach area, premises, and clearing glasses from tables, beach area, and grounds every day. Staff always greeting me and courteous.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great Resort!!!

We had an awesome week at the Royal Decameron Cornwall Beach. Great view of the beach, and the sunsets are beautiful! Always chairs available on the beach or by the pool. The public areas and washrooms were always clean. We had great service the whole week, loved the staff!!! The food at the buffet was very good!!! The a la carte in both resorts were alright... Sunscape Splash: Great resort - super family friendly

We went recently April 4 to April 11 2018 to Sunscape Splash and were amazed by the country as well as the hospitality by the staff! Everyone is very friendly, itinerary is so intense at the hotel we did not make it all ha! Each day they have an itinerary such as bingo or tie dye shirt making. There are activities for everyone, young, old, fam [... read more]ilies etc. Beaches: We loved the fact there were two beaches, one is a bit rocky but you swim out to coral reefs (technically both you can swim out but one you have to swim farther) and the other is a more designated sandy beach. Snorkeling sessions are twice a day and free. We loved that feature. My kids were playing in the sand while one adult goes out snorkeling or we brought the kids to go kayaking (also free). If you wanted longer trips out to the ocean the Kelly Sports guys are friendly and amazing. You can para-sail, kayak, boat rides, glass bottom to see more. Hotel: Hotel was clean. Rooms clean, bed was as expected of a hotel, dressers, closet, safe, etc. Everything is a norm of a hotel room. Hot water was kind of in and out. Towel service was good and the mini bar was awesome. There are three restaurants attached that are decent. Don't expect 5 star kind of food but it was good for what it was. The buffet is always good but I have to say their breakfasts is the best compared to all meals. So many options. They have a cafe called Coco Cafe and it is always open for coffee and desserts. Features: The hotel also offers a lazy river with two big slides and a kid section with a smaller size slide. Amazing. We loved the lazy river and the slides are fast. Be wary. It is a lot of fun but jeez that is one fast slide! My kid loved the little slide with the kid sized pool. Extremely family friendly and great. The hotel has four pools, one is adult only but they other two is for everyone and one is a small kids pool close to the lazy river. Adult only pool has swim up bar. Cleaned every day! Kids club called Explorer's club. We didn't use this service much but in the future we definitely will. It's an on site day care service included to the resort and the staff there are amazing. When we did put my daughter in the club she loved picking sea shells from the beach and crafts. Every day they have a different schedule such as one day they'll go to the park, swings, sand castles, etc. It's really an amazing set of staff and schedule to keep all kids busy. Overall this resort is amazing and great for family oriented groups. Everything is there and if you need just ask the staff will point you to the right direction. Any excursions they have on site staff to help any questions. You can book from resort or taxi or whatever else you need. Loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and miss Jamaica already.

Riu Negril: Awesome

Resort is clean. Great service Staff was quick to respond to any issue that was brought to their attention . Staff was very friendly Both buffet and a la cartel offered great food and good variety

Sandals Negril: Getaway to paradise

My wife and I just returned from Sandels Niegril in Jamaica, we can not say enough good things about this resort. The office staff is great, the bar staff is amazing at all locations throughout the resort, the waitresses/waiters in the restaurants and the breakfast area’s are very accomidating. Entertainment was excellent every night. The personnel that takes care of the beach is amazing, beach is beautiful. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Couples Negril: Wonderful Resort

We loved our stay at Couples Negril!!! Everything was very clean, service was impeccable, staff was courteous and very helpful, the beach was excellent and although locals could sell stuff on the beach, they were not allowed to come to you, you had to go to them! In addition, I have special dietary requirements...I have Celiac disease so everything must be gluten free plus I am vegan. I must say that they went out of their way to accommodate me with this!! The food was delicious!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful Resort

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are all spacious junior suites with fabulous views. We visited at Christmas 2017 (building 13) and again March 2018 (building 11) with family and friends. Be booked Golden Club with Ocean view rooms. We requested all rooms be together (at least in the same building) and we were all accommodated on the same floor with fantastic views. All reservations were confirmed and the meals at all restaurants including the buffet were fantastic. Italian (stuffed chicken breast was amazing) Japanese teppanyaki grill was great (deep fried ice cream for dessert was perfect) Garden Grill Steakhouse (surf & turf was delicious) and Don Pablo (tenderloin) The buffet has a wide selection and no one will go hungry. We ate there for breakfast but it is also served at the Garden Grill at 8am. Lunch was either at the buffet, pool side bbq (jerk chicken was always great) or at the beach. We had the bbq on the beach one day as well as we were way down around the cove. The pool area is huge, you should be up early to get chairs, they do go fast. I was up at 6am anyways to enjoy the full day, so not an issue (I can sleep in at home). The poolside entertainment was always fun for all ages. Swim-up bar was always a great spot to cool down The beach in front of the resort is shallow and good for wading or quiet relaxing. The wedding gazebo is located here. The best beach is to the left of the resort by the Market/Beach restaurant and kids play area. It is a big U shaped beach, at the peak is a bar and washrooms, a bit further is the nude beach (completely enclosed). The resort is quite large with a lot of walking and stairs. There are elevators but could use more. The Village (Market /Entertainment area) is perfect. Shops open from 10-10, no need to leave the resort to go shopping, everything you would want is there and decently priced. Nightly entertainment starts around 8pm for the younger kids then 9pm for the shows. Afterwards the karaoke bar is open until 1pm, then the Disco all in the same area. There is also nightly bands playing on the Lobby deck starting around 8:30, they are very good and a lot of fun. The Reggae band and piano player in the lobby are also very good. We didn't attend the beach party with bonfire but heard great reviews. The water show in the pool was really good. The water park for the smaller children is amazing. Right on the beach if you want to incorporate both areas. Bar, bathrooms and towel exchange all located there. No late check-outs were allowed as the resort was sold out, so that was a bit awkward for those not leaving the resort until 6pm. There is a room to put your luggage, bring your valuables with you. A Clubhouse is provided to shower before leaving (located in the basement of the Lobby area) however no towels, shampoo, soap were available, the hair dryer didn't work and some of the shower drains were clogged. Apparently the men's side was worse than the ladies. This area could use some improvement. I had my beach towel and soap with me and didn't wash my hair, so I was fine. As a heads-up, book a late check out if available for convenience. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Couples Sans Souci: Great trip!

Another amazing trip to Couples San Souci!!!! We had sun, sun and more sun the entire week. Food was beyond great, room was very nice and clean. Highly recommend beachfront suite. Water sports team were once again very accommodating and took us out on the Hoobie Cat everyday, did some jet skiing, and went on the sunset cruise (that was beautiful). Balloon bar staff excellent, swim up bar staff were more entertaining than fast at providing drinks. Beach bar staff were fine. Did find that the [... read more] resort itself would routinely run out of such things as Clamato juice or mint........vital ingredients for some of our favorite drinks. Bar service on the beach was hit or miss, non-existent on some days and other days were bringing us drinks without us even ordering them. Love how you can get beach towels whenever you want them all day long - this is a really nice feature at a resort. On a negative note the transfer to the resort was terrible. We arrived on Easter Monday and unbeknownst to us it is Kite Day in Jamaica and the traffic was insane. It took over 3 hours to get to our resort and no where to stop to use a washroom. The transfer to the airport at the end of our stay was not much better. In all our other stays at this resort we were driven to the airport in a small van with only guests from other Couples Resorts, however, this time, we were picked up by a small bus that only had 2 small side seats left and not another sole from a Couples Resort on the bus. This is truly not the best way to end an amazing week of sun, excellent service and great food. Honestly, if you are looking at getting away to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect with your loved one, this is the perfect resort for that.

Couples Swept Away: Tropical Paradise!

This resort truly is amazing! Beautiful beach, awesome food, drinks and service. The staff are friendly & accommodating. The rooms aren’t really fancy but have a rustic charm to them. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing romantic getaway for you & your significant other this is the place to be! (However, if you are looking for the loud party atmosphere you may want to look elsewhere. This resort has more of a quiet intimate setting.) Sunscape Splash: Awesome resort

We just came back from Sunscape Splash in Montego Bay. We stayed there from April 1st to April 8th 2018. We had a fabulous time. The resort was beautiful, the sunsets where incredible, the staff where the nicest I’ve ever experienced ( and I’ve travelled a lot) the beach was beautiful especially if you enjoy snorkeling. My husband and I spent 4-5 hours a day in the water snorkeling, the fish was just unbelievable. Our girls meet many kids their age and built new friendships. They also loved the freedom and how safe they felt. We loved our vacation and we can’t wait to go back. We would record this resort.

Secrets St James: Wonderful vacation

My husband and I recently spent 9 days at the Secrets St. James in Montego Bay. We had a wonderful vacation. The beach, the pools, the food, the entertainment--day and night--were all great. We especially loved that all the restaurants have outdoor seating and the evening entertainment. The houseband Pace is really terrific. On the negative side, the check-in was terrible--it took a half-hour plus and there were only 8-10 of us checking in at the same time. The other issue was smoking--cigarettes and marijuana--by the pools, on the beach, and at the tables around the outdoor stage. Smoking of anything should be restricted to designated areas away from other people. Highly recommend this resort, despite the negatives above. The positives far outweigh the negatives, and we will definitely return!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice place

Grounds are immaculate, food is Good. Beach is not the best I've seen but enjoyable. Good service by staff. Good excursions nearby. It is a bit of a walk to the biggest beach area, a small golf cart shuttle would be nice to have at this resort

Riu Palace Jamaica: Great getaway!

Great food with lots of flavours at all the à la carte and the buffet. Very clean and service is outstanding. Everything is close within the resort and only a few minutes from airport. Very happy with our first trip to Jamaica! We will return to visit another part of the country.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Beyond amazing

We had a great time in Jamaica. It all started when we arrived at the Iberostar Suites after a long day of traveling to be told that we had been upgraded to the Iberostar Grand. From there everything was perfect the room, the food, the staff, the amenities everything was great. We are looking forward to go back for our next vacation.

Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Negril 7 Mile Awesome Beach

Fun Holiday, we have stayed a number of times, (recently March 31st for a week)read the reviews then there are no surprises. It’s a small resort and you’ll know everyone by weeks end. The rooms give you the basics, but the beach is what we go for, it is simply the best! The food at the resort is mostly Jamaican, and our group of 6 enjoyed every meal we were there for. “Country” puts on a good show...very entertaining! Lots and lots of walkable places for lunch and dinner.

Sandals Dunn's River: Not a 5 star but it grows on you

This resort is definitely not a 5 star resort and is in need of a serious face lift. We stayed in the diamond building in a premier room on the first floor that was directly beside the elevator. Although the room was clean and adequate, I could hear the elevator going up and down constantly which did prevent me from having a decent night's sleep most nights. The balcony looked over the roof of the main floor which was an eyesore. The buffet was subpar at this resort but it has a great pizza place and grill where you can get jerk chicken, burgers and sandwiches from noon until late. The a la carte restaurants were all great and we highly recommend these over visiting the buffet. You only require a reservation for the hibachi restaurant. The beach at the resort is very small and half of it is quite pebbly. It would have been nice if they took some time to clear the pebbles away. There are many non motorized water activities to do and the hotel has lots of activities like pool, ping pong and darts around the grounds which we enjoyed. The service at the bar can be slow but the drinks are tasty and strong. I would have given a better review had the hotel offered to move us to a better room after we complained to them and the sunwing rep as the lack of sleep from the constant sound of the elevator did not provide a restful vacation. My fiancee proposed as well the second night we were there and this was not recognized by the hotel either other than the staff at the Italian restaurant. It would have been nice if they made a bit more of an effort to make this event a little more special for us.

Zoetry Montego Bay: The staff make this resort.

This resort was very small, and the service was very good, would not say 5 star but they are trying. Lots of staff around to fulfill your wants and needs. There are some things that could be improved upon. Our first assigned room was very dark & the location not ideal but Kaydee Ann quickly reassigned us without fuss. She was great throughout the week. The desserts were not great. Too much cream,,and various mediocre offerings, but the coffee was excellent at Cocos. Menus got a bit boring [... read more] after a few days but there was only 1 buffet night and that was good. Toiletries were not replenished daily as they advertise but that did not mean anything to us except we had to ask for more soap one day. Although we wanted a quiet resort, a night or 2 of dancing would have been good.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Amazing Resort!

Initially I was skeptical of this resort. However it was amazing! So amazing that I'm hopefully going back the end of this month. Food and staff was great. Great for families and adults only as there is an adult side.

Riu Negril: Excellent!

We booked a garden view room and received an amazing water view. The way the hotel is built I would think almost every room would get a view of the water. The room was spotless housekeeping did a fantastic job. The buffet was huge and the food was good. We went to 2 specialty restaurants also good. We came home with bigger bellies than we went with ;). When the sun comes up you can see starfish crabs and stingray what a great way to start your day. There are vendors on the beach right next door its so much fun to barter with the locals. Scuba Caribe is right on the beach we booked a sunset cruise with them , went to the cliffs in Negril (Ricks Cafe) and Seven Mile Beach (Margaritaville) very enjoyable afternoon. Heather Felice at Trip Central made all the arrangements simple and stress free. Thank you Trip Central we will be back :)

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Don't waste your money

The food was "ok", the jerk chicken was not as expected. No mangos, avocado, passionfruit......what kind of tropical country is this? Drinks sucked, not much choices, especially frozen drinks just strawberry and pina colada. The male staff needs to chill, they hit on all the women and it is very distasteful! Dirty, no fish, snorkeling was awful and be prepared to be forced to wear life jackets snorkeling. Sea erchens at the beach.
