Riu Dunamar: A wonderful Vacation

The resort was very good. Staff were polite and friendly. They helped arranging surprises for my wife's birthday. The rooms were clean, and food was amazing! They had the typical fun Rio entertainment events.Only far from the city.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Resort currently under renovation

We have visited this resort annually since 2016, minus the covid years. The grand sirenis is currently undergoing a full scale renovation. 50% of the resort is currently closed to all guests. This means no courtesy showers or change rooms are available anymore if you have a late flight. They will not offer a courtesy room either.The resort plans to have the first stage of the renovation completed this Fall 2024 in time for the busy season. Once phase 1 is completed phase 2 begins by closing the  [... read more]second half of the resort until completed mid to late 2025. This closure during our stay , the first two weeks of May, caused power outages and low water pressure. With minimal staff to perform speedy repairs the failing a/c unit in our room made for unpleasant evenings with an evening low temperature between 24-27c. Would not recommend this resort until all renovations have been completed. However check pricing. The owners of grand sirenis plan on moving this resort from star classification to diamond rating which means a substantial increase to the pricing as well once all renovations are complete.

Ocean Maya Royale: We will be back+

We had an amazing vacation at the Ocean Maya Royal. The resort was beautiful, the staff went above and beyond to keep us happy. The food was top notch....the alacarte restaurants were beyond amazing. The only negative thing I have to say is regarding the lack of shade available around the pools. Some of us enjoy the heat and the pools but cannot take too much sun. We had to be at the pool by 7:30 to get a chair with an umbrella. Yes, there were a few umbrellas at chairs but most of them  [... read more]were reserved for people who never showed up. They built a couple of palopas (sp)? By the bar towards the end of the week. A great idea, but not an area that could be used long term to relax out of the sun. Perhaps erecting a large gazebo with comfy chairs and tables would provide some "out of the sun respite " for us shade lovers. Even in the pool the only place to get out of the sun was under the bridge....not a big area at all. Besides this concern, the resort is top level. We will definitely be back!

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Fantastic Vacation

The resort had all we needed: room was clean, beds comfortable. Good entertainment. Beach was so warm. A bit rough but enjoyable. Pool was great too. We enjoyed the double decker bus that goes to all other resorts, overall when going to a la carte restaurants, which BTW where really good ( at least the 4 we tried). Overall a great trip

Barcelo Maya Palace: Excellent resort

The resort was very clean. We could see empolyees cleaning the areas around the pools. The beach was raked every morning. The deck chairs were put back in place with a table between every two chairs. The grounds crew working on the grass. The busyness of the employees did not inconvenience us in anyway. The hotel rooms were clean.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: It's okay

Grounds are very safe, lit and walkable, have train transportation, but sometimes have to wait. May is extremely hot. Don Pablo, and tequila both excellent Ala Carter restaurants can try others at coba too! la gourmet is excellent. Drinks are weak, some bartenders better than others. No servers at pool or beach. Only in main bars. Didn't recognize our anniversary until 5th day. Management was very helpful. Said was not on account. Rooms are clean. Housekeeping excellent Buffet was okay, bu [... read more]t some foods extremely greasy, made me sick. Lots of seaweed in may, and big trucks on beach to clear it away.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Wonderful Resort!

The food and atmosphere was great! There were so many places to discover, we found a week was too short! The staff work tirelessly to create a perfect holiday. The room on the main floor was very comfortable and kept very clean. We will definitely come back. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Resort Not Good

The grounds were clean, but a boa snake and another snake was present near our stay which had me terrified after the snakes were captured right away. Our anxiety was high! We paid $500 more for an upgraded room superior with a jacuzzi terrace and the jacuzzi we got to use once as we had to get the service guy to fix it and was not fixed until the last 2 days of our trip, our room was big which was a plus but we were constantly calling for restocking for coffee for morning, bottles of water, crea [... read more]m sugar cups. When we arrived there it was nice to receive a nice greeting a champagne and a refreshing towel. When it came to booking our dinners when we arrived they only had 9 pm time slot which was too late to eat. Not happy about that…the resort was quiet and entertainment was geared to older people. The sales people for resort were trying to have us engage in a privledge holiday to have extra hospitality given to us but would have to spend 90 min of our time but was told we could use beach privledge for just going during our stay, then arranged a time for us to be picked up they didn’t show up. We went right to desk, no apologies then a young guy informed us he wanted to make sure that it was only for couples only and only ones who were interested in paying for this privilege. We were getting mixed messages and annoyed at them hounding us. Pressure sales.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great location and resort

There are 6 hotels sharing the same beach, but as they are spread out, there's plenty of room on the beach. The food options are plentiful and decent. Premium drinks are included. Great snorkeling location right off the beach and pier. Super large multi pools were also great. Good value for your dollar.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort

Review of Riu The Riu Palace facilities and property were all clean and beautifully kept on a beautiful ocean front property. The staff were always smiling and friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing and plentiful. The pools were beautifully kept and the staff engaged the guests in games, fun and activities by the pool side. Overall it was a great way to spend a relaxing vacation by the ocean.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great trip!

We just returned from the Ocean Riviera Paradise. We had a great trip and I would return. My big issue is the beach. There really isn’t any. We were able to get seats near the beach but then there were so many rocks it was hard to go into the water. We would walk to the left and use the next beach where I feel the resort had added sand and it would be nice if the Ocean did this as well. The food and drinks were good, but I would have preferred Corona beer. We ate at the Japanese and stea [... read more]k restaurants which were both good. It was hard to get drinks in the buffet in the morning. We didn’t use the pools so I can’t comment on those.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Okay

The resort is nice but nothing special. It is in need of updates and repairs to be a true 4.5 / 5 star. Buffets were okay but a la carts were excellent. Service is hit and miss. Housekeeping in the rooms lacked basic sweeping of floors. Pools are nice and large. Beach is nice. Overall a good vacation but don't have high expectations.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great Resort

Very clean hotel, everything was well kept at all times! I would recommend this resort to my friends and family, I will for sure go back. The food is delicious , the drinks as well. From service to cleanliness to beach and the spa, I would say 5+++

TRS Yucatan: Amazing Resort

I absolutely loved Trs yucatan the staff were fantastic food was great and the resort itself was gorgeous My butlers were fantastic very helpful and informative I loved the daily activities at the pool area and the pop team were fun and exciting can’t wait to go back

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Good Resort

This is a good resort with some exceptions. The grounds are pretty but the palms were in need of some TLC. There are not enough beach loungers and the umbrellas are in very poor condition. The ocean view rooms are very nice with good housekeeping service. This resort has one of the best buffet restaurants that we have experienced at all inclusive resorts, including 5 star resorts we've been to. The a la cartes are also quite good, especially the French. More evening entertainment would [... read more] be a good idea. It was more diverse when we were there in January. Overall, I would recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Bahia Xian Ka'an = Great value for 5 stars

We stayed at Bahia Xian Ka'an, this gave us the freedom of drinking and eating at all 4 resorts. Zooming around the different properties and beaches, lots of activities to do which made 7 days feel like 14 days. Food was resort food for most but out of all the buffets Xian Kaan was the best.. Our favorite restaurants were not popular and easy to book Ku'uk and Mashua were perfectly fusion. Ku'uk was traditional Mexican but found a way to perfectly fuse different cultural foods without trying t [... read more]o hard. Mashua was Nikkei style and both were 5 star restaurants. Minor nuisances..musty smell in the rooms suggest moisture issues in walls..however this was trumped by excellent service

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Good resort

Overall we found the resort really nice. We stayed at the Maya Beach but preferred the Colonial. It has a bigger kids water park too. In terms of service sometimes the lines were too long at the buffet and the staff didn’t always come to serve us. Also the times are limited to book the a la carte restaurants which was a little frustrating. The food and drink selection was really good overall. Would definitely recommend this place. The beach had sea weed and wasn’t calm. There were a fe [... read more]w days when it wasn’t too rough and the water was great for swimming but that was only for a few days out of our entire stay.

Allegro Playacar: Friendly Little Resort

The resort itself is small and a bit dated. A/C was cold and worked great. Our smallish room was adequately stocked with amenities. Beautifully located close to the beach for amazing ocean views our room was a bit of an incline to walk up to the nightly buffet/entertainment, it was OK for us having no mobility issues. Entire resort was clean including the grounds, gardens and public spaces. Food was delicious, plentiful and well prepared. The activity pool also housed the swim up bar and was full of children most days and was not really an ideal set up for smaller kids in my opinion. The quiet pool was never really quiet either as it held the overflow of kids :). If a quiet relaxing vacation is on your agenda this may not be the resort for you,although for the most part evenings after the nightly entertainment were mostly quiet. Service was top notch throughout the resort! Kudos to all the amazing and hard working staff!!

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great Vacation in Mexico!

We stayed at Barcelo Maya - tropical with 12 friends for a week and had a wonderful vacation. The resort was clean, food was good, staff were helpful and friendly. We had wonderful service at the a la carte restaurants and buffets alike. We mostly stayed around the pool as it was windy for the first few days but we did get out for a couple of days to swim with turtles. I would absolutely stay here again! Thumbs up!

Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta: Relaxing family vacation

The hotel is really clean. The beach is amazing. The food is tasty and has enough variety for the week. The specialty restaurants were especially enjoyable. Beware though that as of the first week of May they start scaling back on restaurant availability. As a large group we were worried about meals together , but the food staff was very accommodating to us and gave us amazing service. Having two pools was also nice as they have different atmospheres and weather ( kids pool has way le [... read more]ss wind). The drinks were tasty and the house wine was enjoyable. Housekeeping was a bit sporadic upon arrival but was remedied when asked about. They were also accommodating when we requested a new room as the room for my adult kids had no natural light, no balcony to speak of and was right up against the neighbouring hotel’s wall.
