Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Lots of room for improvement

Public restrooms were dirty, flooded with water, had no toilet paper or paper towels, stall doors did not lock or have locks on them. Food was medicare, both buffet (cold food was room temperature and hot items were cold). A la cartes were below average. Room did not have a deadbolt or chain lock. Most staff were not willing to answer questions or even entertain them at times. No shade or umbrellas at the pools. Grounds are lovely, room was moderately clean and spacious. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Amazing Trip

We recently travelled to the Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Coco. We had the most amazing trip! The resort is aging, however you tend not to focus on that when the people/staff more than make up for it. We absolutely loved the staff most especially our servers Jorge and Roxana. We always found more than enough to eat. The beach is the best we have ever been on. Not a sole bothered you when you stepped foot on it. The water was gorgeous. We cannot say enough. There was always something going  [... read more]on, either an activity, a band/musician of some sort or music in the lobby. Our room was fine. We found we had quite a bit of storage area to put our clothes. The only things I would like to see changed are (1) in the public washrooms the toilet paper bins need to be emptied more frequently because it got very smelly and (2) the hotel should put a restriction on how long you can save your pool/beach chair. We noticed some people put their stuff on their chairs bright and early and did not show up until 2-3 pm. There are not enough chairs for everyone as it is, and this does not help. Otherwise, we are looking forward to going back again next year.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Amazing Resort

Grounds were well kept, the staff was working continuously everyday. Beach is amazing and there is lots to see snorkeling just off the boardwalk. The staff were amazing constantly interacting with the guests. I've been to a bunch of resorts but the shows I seen here are by far the best I've ever seen. Done the Dolphin excursion and would highly recommend it. Food was a little repetitive but the Hurricane hasn't helped with that, but if you enjoy Chicken, rice, fresh fish and pork it was good. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Wonderful resort in Jamaica!

We just spent a wonderful week at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. What a great resort! Super clean, great restaurants (especially the steak house), and the staff were very friendly and helpful (with or without tips). We were travelling with my 88 year old mother who has difficulty walking and uses a walker. The resort had lots of ramps and it was very easy for her to get around, even on the beach. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Resort

This was our fifth trip to Iberostar Ensenachos. We stayed in the Spa Section which is adult only. As usual, staff were great, the grounds were lovely and the beaches wonderful. Even though we had our registration forms completed prior to registering, it took over an hour to get a room. Other than this, the only negative thing I would say is the number of children at the resort. There were children sitting at the bars at 9:00-9:30 at night which I thought was a bit much. Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Elite is the way to go!

My partner and I had an amazing week at the Iberostar Bella Vista. We stayed from April 4th-11th 2018. We booked through Tripcentral and the booking process was great! Getting from the airport was an easy process. The bus ride was about an hour long, we made stops at 6 resorts before the final stop at Bella Vista. Check in at the elite desk was great, we got drinks on arrival and 3 Al a carte's were booked for us already. We booked an elite swimout room. Being elite and having the swimout  [... read more]was what made our trip. The elite only buffet on the 11th floor for breakfast and lunch was heaven compared to the mail buffet. The food was fresh and not picked over, not as big of a selection but definitely better than main buffet. Also no kids may be a plus to some people. The staff were amazing and often remembered our drink orders from previous days. The swimout room was so nice! Our maid Yenis was the sweetest always leaving us notes, candy and fun towel creations. We did request a king bed and didn't get one but we were able to easily push the beds together. A concern of ours from other reviews was the lack of hot water at peak times. This wasn't so much of an issue for us though, we did find it difficult to work the shower at times. We spent the mornings at the beach, but in order to get a palapa you have to be out there by 6am to save chairs. There were a lot of chairs saved on the beach but some were unoccupied for the whole morning. The beach chairs are also just a hard plastic so we saw some people bring pool floaties to put on top of the chairs for more comfort. In the afternoons we spent the time at our swimout pool. The water was super refreshing and hardly any people using the pool. All elite guests are able to use the swimout pool even if you don't have a swimout room. The main pool with the swimup bar was often so warm is was gross to get into so we spent all of our time in the elite pool. The Al a carts were ok. The Japanese restaurant was good, and the 11 floor Al a carte was good also. The other Al a carts however were not very enjoyable with very small portions. We snuck off to the buffet or ordered room service because we were often hungry after our dinner. Room service was great but a little slow getting to your room. The pizza and the sandwiches were a great little snack. Wifi worked well, the process of getting the access card was somewhat annoying but we were given a card with a time amount for five days instead of just a 1 day card and that was nice so we didn't have to go back everyday to get a new one. We never went to the nightly shows and when we walked by them there was never a huge turn out. There isn't a diso on site. Most days we had no problem getting new towels for the pool or our room. We would suggest bringing a couple ant traps if you have a ground floor room or a swim out because there were ants. The traps were a huge help. Would definitely recommend this resort and would consider going back again.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Will be back!!

This was our first time to Cuba and wasn't disappointed. The resort was a perfect size. You were close to everything no matter which building you were in. The grounds and rooms were clean and well maintained. There was always chairs available around the pool. Each day there were activities going on. The food was good and the outdoor lunch was a nice change from the buffet. Our group was 17 including children and we never had trouble finding a table for us all. Will definitely be returning!!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Nice holiday

Bad start with terrible check in, so badly disorganized and did not get one request granted for any of us. We were a family of 10. Despite being a repeat guest of an Iberostar, didn’t seem to matter. 2nd day we finally got settled in appropriate rooms and could start to enjoy our holiday. Despite being only 1yr old, this resort is badly in need of repair. Broken tiles, washroom backups, dirty hallways etc. Part maintenance part vacationer fault. All staff and entertainment staff work really ha [... read more]rd to please, rooms were clean and comfortable. Only one buffet open all week, food ok but you have got to expect that in Cuba. The staff made it possible for us to feel welcome and the entertainment staff were truly amazing, we had a lovely time.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Paradise

My husband and I stayed at the Iberostar Costa Dorada between April 27 to May 04 2018. Everything about this resort exceed our expectations. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The food was delicious (lunch was my favourite meal time) Most of the staff was very friendly. They always said “hola” when we walked by. We only spent an hour at the beach. Overall we had an amazing vacation and will most likely be going back to the Iberostar and booking through Trip Central again.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful Resort

Grounds were very well kept. Beach was spectacular! Food was ok, could always find something. Dissapointed with the beds, uncomforable and very lower. Saw many bad practices when handling food at buffet and using same dirty cloth for everything.

Hotel Mojito: Wonderful Time!

We visited the Iberostar Mojito from March 21 - 28th for my daughter's 30th birthday. The resort was just the perfect size for us - not too small or too big. They were still working on improvements which were great. The place was clean and well kept. The food was really good with many choices! The beach was absolutely breathtaking! Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Outstanding Staff

This was my first time at the Iberostar Daiquiri.and I was very impressed.There was always lots of staff around and they are all about service. The gardens are beautiful. This hotel was very clean and compact so you are never far from anything.The pool area is very nice. There were a lot of choices at the buffet The beach is gorgeous. I loved having a coffee maker in the room and knew to bring my own coffee and filters.Anyone that wants tea should bring their own.The beach gets deep very quick [... read more]ly which is not the best for children. . The hotel staff are excellent! The beach is very nice with crystal clear and still water. Great place to relax and enjoy sunny destination! Our second time there and its a good place for famiies and friends to relax on the beach!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful vacation!!!

This hotel is very nice!!! It’s clean, the ground, the room, the pool area, the beach, and the restaurant. But the problem is the mosquitos and flies which is common problem in most resorts in Cuba. The food is terrific, variety and delicious!!! And most of all we love the people working there, the staff, they are all approachable, very nice people!!! I will recommend this hotel to a friend.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Best resort ever.

Iberostar always does things right, from the food to the grounds and the entertainment. This resort is great and you have the ability to use 2 of the connected iberostar resorts as well. Iberostar always seems to deliver the best bang for your buck. We will be going backs soon and hopefully bringing many other friends with us.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Great Resort to visit

This is our second time at Iberostar Laguna |Azul in 3 years we saw a big change inside....it needs to be upgraded especially in the bedrooms but the staff is super nice...the pool area is super nice and clean.....a la carte has great food the rooms are super clean.....:)

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Extremely relaxing atmosphere

Although the hotel was not in a tip top condition in terms of maintenance, but our room was really comfortable and met our needs. We loved the landscape and how the pools were designed. We stayed at the adults only section but we had a selection of pool areas to sit around. The only thing is that there was not enough shaded areas for those who do not really enjoy sitting under direct sun but we managed. The one thing I would have them do is label their dishes especially salads and soups. We had hoped for more lobster but it was served only once during our seven nights stay. The other one take is the pool/beach towel issue. We had to go and trade in our used towels with clean towels everyday and they were really strict about it. On one day they had no clean towels at all and that was a bit upsetting. Staff were very nice and friendly and did their best to make us feel welcomed. In general, we had a very pleasant stay. We would definitely go back and recommend to friends.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is very pretty. I stayed at this resort April 18-25, 2018. There is still room for improvement with this resort. The food needs a lot of improvement. It seems to be repeating the same food every day. Not really catering for international guest. No variety of bread , food seems to be over grilled too much salt. The rooms beautiful but they need to put signs hot and cold on the taps. A problem that most of the guest were having was that the water was either boiling hot or extrem [... read more]ely cold. We had to keep calling maintenance to fix it. Apart from that the staff were friendly. Also I should mention when you go to Cuba you want to experience Cuba Coffee not Americana coffee. The entertainment needs improvement.

Hotel Mojito: So nice!

The grounds were well kept, you could tell they were rebuilding from the last hurricane that hit them, but they kept most of it out of main sight. The food was meh, but if we’re being honest, you aren’t going for the food anyway. The rooms were nice, massive beds, nice bathroom, awesome views. The beach was AMAZING, it was a bit of a walk, but so worth it. The staff was super friendly and the guys who ran the activities were so enthusiastic. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good vacation!

First time to this resort. We booked a superior ocean view room. The room was nice and clean with a king size bed. The mattress is pretty used up( after a couple of days, my back was sore). The view from the balcony was amazing! The beach is very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. Unfortunatly, my husband and i got very sick for about 24 hours while we were there. A few hours before, we shared a plate of bbq chicken and fries. So, we’re thinking, probably the chicken. Something that the [... read more] resort could ameliorate is at the buffet restaurant, there is shellfish cooked at almost every station. My husband is allergic to shellfish. They cooked shellfish on the same grill as the other meats and pasta, using the same ustensils. So, he was very limited to what to eat. Other resorts, have a station just for shellfish. But, overall, we had a great time with family.
