Velas Vallarta: great hotel

Can't say enough good things about our stay . It was our first time at this resort and we would return. The staff there was great particularly Eduardo pool side, but all of the servers in the restaurants were the best The hotel was very clean we had a junior suite with no balcony 24hr room service was great one thing i didn't like was the uninviting lobby there is no visible bar should be a meeting place also if your a beach person this is not for you.Still a very nice relaxing hotel

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Very Good Mexican Resort in the perfect location

Very good hotel on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, excellent and friendly staff, Lovely well kept grounds, 3 pools, Location was excellent, close to restaurants and entertainment area. Food was very good. Room was very clean and quiet..

Las Palmas by the Sea: Warm and friendly.

Compact, well designed and well run. Entertainment better than other 3*. Food good except for Japanese night. Balconies have sea view but no privacy. Rooms clean and everything worked. Plenty of hot water.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: My second year at this resort

As always this resort has a happy, relaxed feel. The food is very good, the rooms very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful with any requests. I will go again next year. Please sign on for extra events. So far we went whale watching and saw Rhythms of the Nights. Both wonderful.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Say yes

Such a cozy atmosphere, everyone was friendly. Your sad to see friends leave but the new ones that come are always just as amazing. Food was impressive no question there and we will be going back. The bar on the water the spot! Loved that it was close to a bus route to venture off the resort

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Amazing resort, clean, manicured lawns, flowers.

After spending 14 days Jan 29, 2015, we love this popular resort for the value of our money, clean, building colours,food, drinks. This resort is so clean, pools, chairs, rooms, restaurants etc. it has two buffets so if you can't find something you like at one you can always go to the other. 5 a la carte restaurants. We notice a few changes this years, some foods were repeated to fill the blank space. Always can find something to eat. Spanish coffee, flame deserts, speciality lobster at a $20.00 extra fee, just saying yes madam......the only thing I found the night intertainment is to late, 9:00 pm is late enough and seems it's late starting. The host spends to much time talking and filling it the time slot....not funny.

Riu Flamingos: Great place for a great price!

Stayed at the riu jalisco from January 30 to February 6! It was a great experience. The staff was very helpful. If you have any issues and give a call to customer service, they assist you right away. We wanted an extra blanket one night and they brought one up within 15 minutes of calling. Staff in restaurant and bars are very friendly! We had Pedro a few nights in a row for supper and he was the best server!!! Food and drinks are very good with a good amount of variety. Villa del Palmar Beach Resort: Excellent

We totally enjoyed our stay. We had a bachelor suite with a kitchenette, king bed, beautifully decorated in Mexican style over looking the pool area and the ocean. the grounds were beautifully kept along with the public areas. We really enjoyed the activities that took place each day and the staff. along with the nightly dinning which was excellent.

Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Very enjoyable an truly Mexican resort

As always, I enjoyed the Decameron Los Cocos immensely. The food seems to get better every year. This time, we had a lot of rain. But, no problem, entertainment by Karioki in the bar was provided to make our days enjoyable. Our room cleanliness was 1st class as usual and just love the walks along the beautiful beach. Will come again for sure!!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Welcome to Paradise!

The Iberostar Playa Mita is overall an amazing resort-beautiful grounds, amenities, beachfront and pool area, fresh and delicious food, and great service. I would recommend this hotel for 40+ crowd, as its mainly an older crowd and may not be the type of venue young singles are looking for. Theres the convenience of wifi all over the resort. Theres a fun and very authentically Mexican town "Sayulita" 15 minutes away that is great for surfers/or just a fun excursion away from the resort. My one a [... read more]nd only complaint about the resort is that things were stolen from our room-nobody entered my or my sisters room besides the cleaning staff and my sister had money stolen and I had a pair of pants and some toiletries taken (they must have rifled through our things because the stolen items were put away in drawers). They gave my sister a complimentary massage at the spa to compensate for her stolen money, however nothing was done to replace my stolen items-they never even got back to me despite saying they would within 24 hours. I am very disapointed with the Iberostar in this regard and would caution anyone going to this resort to ensure to lock up all valuables and don't leave any items in the room that you would be upset if they were stolen.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort, great service, excellent food, clean rooms. The staff is always ready to help you with any of your needs. The only thing negative, the resort is very isolated and in my opinion the hotel should provide transportation for the different tows around, even for a fee, it gets extremely expensive to take a taxi to go anywhere. Besides that EXCELLENT!

Crown Paradise Club: Amazing family resort!

We stayed at crown paradise club february 1-8, 2015. This resort is amazing! Not too big, not too small! We travelled with our 4 year old daughter and another family with 3 children. The buffet is great! Something for everyone and a special childrens buffet area so they can serve themselves. The beach snack bar we all enjoyed they serve hotdogs, hamburgers, fries, fried fish, calamari, ice cream etc. Our children loved the infinity pool probably because it was the warmest. I read that in a review before we left so o brought my daughters pillow from home, if you have small children I suggest you do the same. The wi fi is spotty and doesn't work all the time. If you do get wi fi do not throw out the card with the password or take a picture of it. We threw ours out and it asked for our password the next day which we did not have so we had to buy another card:( We stayed on the 4 th floor the rooms were nice and recently renovated. We heard the lower floors have not been renovated yet so keep that in mind when booking. There is a Walmart and a supermarket very close by. Beware there are people trying to sell time shares at the supermarket who are pretty aggressive. Bring lots of sunscrean they charge $25.00 a bottle there. There is no mini fridge or coffee maker in the room. We bought water from Walmart and kept it in the room. If you like your coffee bring a coffee press and grounds to make your own on the room. The kids pool is VERY slippery!! Our daughter wiped out at least 5 times. It's pretty dangerous. There are no bath tubs in the rooms just a shower which was fine for us. The TV mostly has Spanish stations so download shows and movies on your tablet if you can. Tip the bartenders and you will get amazing service! I highly recommend adventuras park! It was awesome! Lots to do! All and all an amazing resort! We are already planning to go there next year!

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: An amazing resort!

Everything from the location of the hotel to the staff the food the grounds everything was amazing. They know how to take care of you in PV, Mexico. This was my second time staying at the Sheraton in PV and it will not be my last.

Hard Rock Hotel Vallarta: Excellent resort

Great service staff was very friendly and efficient really felt they bent over backwards to provide a great vacation.Clean and well run food was awesome the only negative was there are no balconies on the standard rooms

Costa Club Punta Arena: Budget resort with very nice staff

The staff was excellent and the grounds and rooms very clean. The rooms were very Mexican and simple with whitewashed walls and budget furniture. The theme of this facility was mexican with the music being loud and on from morning to night until 8. The clients were mostly mexican. The food was very good but not alot of variety. It is a budget hotel .

Tropicana Hotel: A Quality Resort

The Tropicana Puerto Vallarta is located directly on the beach in what can be considered one of the best spots in Vallarta. Its gardens are immaculate, its rooms comfortable and the view is stunning. The staff are friendly, playful and helpful. It is without a doubt a "come again" resort.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Lovely resort with all amenitites on Site

The hotel is lwell maintained and clean - rooms are comfortable with large bathroom. A/C would not go below 22 degrees so it was of no use. We had upgraded to a Deluxe Oceanview Room- 3rd floor - but balcony is small (only one chair fits) Food in the buffet was very good, lots of selection for everyone. People and all staff very friendly - always with a smile - Front Desk, Antonio was superb to help us and allow for extended check out. The hotel is at the top of Punta de Mita and about 1/2 hour from PV. We went one day into Bucerias (15 min by cab $18 USD) to the Flea Market. The best part of the beach is the sea pool to the right of the standard beach - great swimming with no undertow and good for the kids. We had 2 days of rain, but still a great time and the resort does not disappoint. Be advised the resort is on a cliff, there is lots of walking and stairs to the beach. The 5 hotel complexes are three stories and no elevator. It's fine if you are capable to walk ( I did see poeple in wheelchairs) but if you are older and have difficulty with stairs - you will be okay if you stay at the pools since they are all above the beach level.

Canto Del Sol: Friendly resort

I enjoyed my stay at this resort. The grounds are kept very clean and neat. The employees are very good at their jobs. Friendly and helpful when asked. Our room was kept very neat and cleaned daily. We had wanted a balcony but were not lucky enough to get one. That was a little disappointing. We also understand this is a chance you take. The only complaint we have is not receiving a ocean view room which we paid for. This is not really available at this resort where we were because all rooms fac [... read more]e the pool. If we had a balcony maybe could have gone out and seen the ocean but not from where we were. When you book do not bother to book an ocean view not worth the extra money. Food was good, a la carte very good, we tried all three. The service on the beach was very good. The beach was very nice but water is rough here. We have been to the Mayan four times so realized this would be rougher water. Overall enjoyed our trip and would return here.

Riu Flamingos: Solid 8 of 10

Beautiful and clean. Rooms need coffee makers. Severely disliked having to hike through hotel at 6:00 a..m to get a coffee. Disliked check out policy and inconsistent information provided by desk clerk. hotel needs a secure room for guests to store luggage while waiting in limbo between 11:00 am and when your shuttle picks you up. The bellman room is open to the general public with no security whatsoever ever. Also the charge for a late check out is massive and incorrect information provided by  [... read more]front desk. Check out is 11:00 am . Our shuttle was not coming until midnight. 13 hours with no room and your luggage In an open room was unacceptable. Charge for a late check out was 1200 pesos from one desk clerk and 1600 pesos from another. Ended up having to pay an extra 1600 pesos to have our room for the day with our belongings secure. Bad policy. left a bad impression on our last day. Sunwing and hotel need to work something out to better accommodate the guests with late flights.
