The Hotel itself is very nice , grounds are kept up and looked after. One of the most beautiful beaches you will ever see I am sure. The service was terrible tho had to wait for drinks know one would come around the lobby and ask you if you wanted a drink . The food wasn't that great but then again it is Cuba and you put up with the food because the people and the place is beautiful. Having said that I wouldn't go back there again .

Hotel Mojito: Clean Resort....
First time in Cuba ... The resort was clean and food was good for Cuba. I had one issue and fixed it right away. So no complaints at all about the resort. Fridg is stocked every second day . The beach was fab! the La Cart was great food. Some of the resort is not running due to the hurricane which is understandable . Cuba on the other hand lol well that is a different story and not a good review lol

Hotel Mojito: A great time again!
We returned to the Mojito for 2weeks again this April and had a wonderful time.
My only negative is the shows are not as good. When the local band Tahiti plays, everyone is up dancing.
Would be great to have more of Tahiti!
Food was amazing again and of course the staff become your family.
We will keep going again and again.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful resort/ amazing people
The Iberostar Dacquari is a wonderful resort. This is the 2nd time coming to this resort and remembered a few staff from our last visit. Overall, we love the staff at this resort but in saying this, I believe some
Staff at the lobby desk should always remember: first impressions are important. There maybe language barriers at times but I want to remind those that you are the primary people we speak with from the start
A huge thank you to the dining room staff, who at each meal, made us feel [... read more]welcome and apart of their family. Our room was clean and the maid(s) were outstanding keeping them clean all week. This trip was special to my husband and I, as we recommended this resort to some of our famiky who joined us and we made precious memories
The overall resort was beautiful but, unfortunately, needs maintenance in order to keep a good reputation. Elevators did not all work, and some worked poorly at times. This makes it difficult especially for people with mobility issues or small children. Food was typically Cuban, but there is no reason why every meal has to be cold - all day long! The main buffet area was large, so had to often wait for the table to be set up, or for requests for anything, especially salt. Shaded areas at th[... read more]e pools and beach were not adequate, as well as many shingles missing on the bungalows, mainly due to the hurricanes last fall, but lead to more problems later on. The lobby was beautiful, entertainment there very good, but at the theatre it was very repetitious, with very agile dancers every night.

Hotel Mojito: Home from Home
Staff treat you as family , hugs and kisses every day . New beach as been added ,due to recent hurricane damage . Beach rivals that at Varadero now . Pools were always clean and inviting . Buffet and a la carte restaurant were always immaculate ,with plenty of choices . Rooms have recently been refurbished , bathrooms are a little dated though . Plenty of hot water , air conditioning was excellent along with tv channel choices .
The nightly entertainment was excellent with the band and dancers[... read more] . Catered to the young children very well , before the adult shows began . They should drop the nightly bingo game , as the compares have limited English ,always ended up being long and boring . Disco for the younger people starts at 11and goes until 2 am..
Not a 5 star hotel , but well worth the money , Staff were amazing and friendly with everyone . Side trips also available . .

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Wonderful Vacation!
This was our 3rd time to this resort. We love it! It felt like our home away from home. So many of the staff we have met before rememered us. They all made us feel special. The food is very good and plentiful. No tummy troubles! The resort is older and in need of some updates. But our rooms were adequate and clean. Our maid Felicia did a wonderful job! We always had lots of hot water and good pressure. We will definitely be returning next year for our 40th anniversary! Thanks to Sarita our serv[... read more]er at the buffet. Always a hug and kiss every day. Also Cristina, Manuel, Martin for being so sweet!

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Nice Resort - Still Work to be Done
My boyfriend and I stsyed at the Iberostar Bella Vista from April 20-23rd. The resort is well-maintained and clean since it is new. Rooms are nice, amenities are satisfactory, service was good, bartenders were great, beach is beautiful, pool area is clean and nice. Everything on the resort is super close to the beach, no more than 3 minute walk. Things to be improved: Clean beach towels ran out every single day by 3pm (maybe even earlier), the breakfast/ lunch/ dinner buffet are very poorly laid[... read more] out and the food options are mostly terrible. I’ve been to 3 resorts in Cuba and while this is one is new and esthetically pleasing, the food was a common frustration for many patrons I spoke with. Long line-ups for anything served at the grills, many of the favourite food choices, ie fries, ran out and were not refilled. For the a la carts, the Japanese Restaurant was a great experience and the meal was pretty good. The Steakhouse was disappointing. Overall we had a nice stay and enjoyed our time, but we dont think we could have spent a week here.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Our new favorite place!
We met up with 14 other friends for this vacation and the entertainment staff and bar staff were fantastic!!
They encouraged people to participate in the games and the shows, but were not too pushy, they made you feel like family. Cupcake, Angel, Chocolate, String Bean, Pudding(Sajay), Buttercup, Stingray, Peanut, Mr. Neat (Kevin Hart), Sparkles, they were all top notch! Gonna see them again next year!!!
Bartenders, servers, restaurant staff - Monique, Anthoneil, Jevon, Dean, Andrew, Vanessa,[... read more] Alaitia, Havas and Shelissa were great with the service and the drinks.
The resort was the perfect size, not too big, a quick walk to everything, and being able to snorkel right there, and access to the Hobie Cat and Kayak was just perfect!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Beautiful and huge resort
We stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo from April 5 to 12. The weather was amazing every day with temperatures around 29 degrees and nice breezes. We travelled with my parents who are in their early 70's and emailed ahead of time for a room request and they accommodated us nicely with everything we asked for.
The Good:
-The resort and grounds are amazingly beautiful and very clean.
-The staff were so incredibly sweet, we just loved them!!
-the pool was huge and had very easy access in an[... read more]d out. Some areas have steps to get in and some have a gradual slopes to get in.
-The swim up bar was gorgeous and the service was pretty fast! The drink waitress was always coming around so if you were laying out on the lounger you never had to wait long for a drink :)
-The beach was gorgeous, warm and had a lovely sandy bottom...no rocks!
-The rooms were very nice and clean and the bed was the most comfortable one I have ever had at any resort I have gone to. Mini fridge was always stocked.
-With the resort being so big, it was so nice being able to call the service desk for a cart to come pick you up. Wait time was less than 5 minutes, it was awesome!
-The lazy river was so fun, we just kept floating around and around meeting new people each lap...it was one of our favorite things to do!
-We all felt very safe at this resort!
The Bad:
-The food was ok at best. We went to 3 ala cartes , the El Museo French gourmet (pretty good, crappy desserts), the Mexican restaurant (yuck, I got sick for 2 days after with stomach cramps and diarreah) and the El Fogon steakhouse (ok but they pushed a specific cut of beef on us and when we got it it was mostly fat..felt like they were trying to get rid of their low grade beef or something). The buffets were repetitive and the food got boring. Always something to eat but always the same.
-Check in was a nightmare. We arrived around 12:30pm and our room wasn't ready. We waited around hoping maybe one would become available but they wouldn't even check for us and just kept saying 3:00pm, al the while other guests were walking away with their room keys. We even went up 2:45pm to see if it was ready and they said 3:00, wouldn't even call and see if it was ready or not. At 3:02 we went up and they picked up the phone and checked and they were ready. The shift changed at 3:00 and they didn't want to deal with us so they pushed us off to the next shift. We were exhausted and my parents are elderly....this ruined our first day.
-There was no place to get food after 12:30...we were turned away at the main buffet and the pool buffet. We ended up way down at the beach and found a hut with French fries and burgers (under cooked). All the walking bothered my mothers bad leg and wiped us all out. Our first day was a write off. So disappointed.
-The beach had so much seaweed that you couldn't swim a few days. It was like a huge sheet of seaweed covered the water, it was gross. I know its not the resorts fault but none the less it still sucked!
-The first 2 days it was impossible to get loungers around the pool and the beach area. They started policing the area and removing towels off loungers if they were empty for an hour to free them up. At first I didn't like the idea but by the 3rd day there were loungers galore and it was lovely :)
-our safe was broken on the second day but they were there within 15 minutes to fix it. Some people thought it was a scam to steal your money but I don't think so. The person fixing the safe wouldn't enter the room unless we were there and my husband noticed that the cleaning staff were watched by a supervisor or someone when they cleaned every room. We had no issue with theft or anything like that.
Overall a nice resort, I would give it a 3.5/5 mainly because of the food, it was disappointing.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: 3 Star Resort
This resort was disappointing! The building we were in had no water for two days from 10:00 in the morning until 7:00 at night and we had no air conditioning for the first two days. There was no shade around the pools and the beach you had to get up before 7 o'clock to get a hut and soon after that all the chairs were gone. The food was very bland so I ate a lot of bread! The white sand beach and water was amazing.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Great resort with awesome staff
We traveled as a group of six (ages between 61 and 71) after doing a lot of fact finding and research. This is our 14th visit to Cuba. We knew going to this resort, that there was no beach to speak of. In fact our Tripcentral Representative repeated this comment three times to me before I booked and I did the same with the other couples I was booking for...so no surprises. There is NO BEACH but there is a fabulous boardwalk and entry into the most beautiful, crystal clear Caribbean ocean water, [... read more]filled with lots of things to see when snorkeling. Not the easiest way in, however they are working on an access to the water for those who find it difficult to navigate the stairs into the water (elderly and small children).
I heard on the bus on our way back to the airport that people were disappointed with the food. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the food. Its a buffet, with food that appeals to so many different nationalities, so if you see something you don't like, don't choose it. There was plenty of "regular food" for Canadians who are used to bacon, eggs, cereal, fruit, pancakes, chicken, pork, pasta etc. without having to try the more adventurous items on the buffet. We are way too hard on our Cuban friends. They are catering to many, many different palettes.
The service was impeccable, the staff super attentive, and every single person we met went out of their way to get us what we needed or wanted, even without having to ask. Cappuccinos and black coffees delivered to our waiting table of six each morning. Be nice and you will get fantastic service. Be rude and you will still get service, but perhaps not as quickly. Make sure that you visit the Cigar Bar in the evening...Onei the bartender is awesome!
The rooms were clean, bright and well stocked every day.
The beach bar waiters delivered your drinks to your chair, with a smile, all day long. The snack bar at the beach, a few yards away from the chairs and palapas was an awesome place to take a break from the very hot sun and enjoy a quick bite and an ice cold beverage.
A huge hats off to Yadir, who took us on an emergency "dentist" excursion off the resort and waited for us and acted as our interpreter, problem solved, and delivered us back to the hotel all withing 45 minutes.
If you expect to have the same foods and experience as you would in a hotel in the city where you are from, then I would suggest you stay home. Cuba is a beautiful gem in the Carribean filled with beautiful people. Miss it already! And yes I would return to this resort in a heartbeat.
