Melia Marina Varadero: Melia Marina Veradero
Hotel rooms were clean. Staff was friendly and attentive.Food was ok should have more availiable food in snack bar. A la carte was good food but 2 resturants were closed and unavailliable due to issues so had to change choice of a la carte resturants. Pools and beach were nice
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Resort was clean
The all inclusive was limited as they ran out of items daily. No where to go to get snacks in the afternoon independently. Always had to go to a grill to get snacks and the serves was very slow. so you sit an hour to wait for food. Communication is limited - if they run out no one tells you what is happening. Everyone wants tips - Restaurants better than the buffet. Toaster not working most mornings - toast was located in the opposite side of were eggs were being made. Same buffet food everyd [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not for people with limited mobility even though it is an Adults only resort
The grounds were beautiful and well-kept. We had asked for an accessible room close to the pool and restaurants. We did get the accessible room but it was in a building the furthest from everything. The bathroom was equipped with a shower chair and flimsy curtain that went to the tiled floor, but no lip sectioning it off from the rest of the bathroom floor so the water ran under the shower curtain onto the rest of the floor. Very dangerous for someone with a disability. The pool, although very b [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Great resort!
This hotel over all is very clean and service is pretty good. I'm very thankful to one of the servers at the buffet, I lost my $500 prescription sunglasses and she handed them to costumer service. I honestly that I will never see them again.
Melia Las Antillas: Pleasantly surprised, great value for the money.
The rooms were very clean, the service was good and the food was better than expected. Really good value. We also liked that there were plenty of comfortable chairs around the pool and also the beach. The meal options were varied at the buffet and the specialty restaurant was excellent. Had a great time with our friends.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: A great place to spend a week out of the frozen North!
This is an older resort, well maintained, with a long serving, loyal, and extremely friendly staff. It is a small resort in today’s standards, and quite frankly, it’s a gem! Many of the staff have a command of English, which is very helpful. The beach grill is an authentic charcoal BBQ, which is so welcome in January! Yummy BBQ Chicken! Loved it!
Melia Las Dunas: Superb Resort
We stayed at Las Dunas for the 16th time last week and we are already booked to return at the end of March. We have excellent food and accommodation. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is superb. Every evening, they have a different ban in the lobby playing Cuban Music. It is followed by beautiful daily dancing shows at 9:30PM in their large theatre.
Paradisus Varadero: Amazing resort!! But......
The hotel wasn’t what we expected but by the end of the week we were getting accustomed to the food. There doesn’t seem to be any milk there. So bring creamers for coffee. Most staff were friendly. Gave a lot of humanitarian items they need and seemed appreciative. Bring blankets as ours in the room were very thin drapery type material..... not comfortable when air is on. Also no hot or warm water from taps. Getting through Cuban customs and sunwing flight to Cuba was concerning. You will b [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Okay resort
Sol Sirenas Coral Resort all in all was okay. My boyfriend and my cousin and I wanted a last minute getaway with some sun so we decided Cuba. Our expectations for Cuba were low based on everything we heard. I had heard many times that the food in Cuba was not great and they were right. Everything was edible but by the end of our trip we were so tired of eating the same food. We went into town a few time to get a better experience and unless you wanted to pay a fortune you got food as good as the [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing Service - Mediocre Hotel
The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were kind, positive & went out of their way to make sure your time at the hotel was incredible. The staff made the trip. The rest was dissapointing. We stayed in a room on the ground floor. There were dead bugs/flies all over the wall and we spent atleast 1 hr every night killing flies. My son got hurt by the pool twice on the tiles, small cuts on his toes. The food was the roughest part. Hopefully you can live off fries and water. None of the food items [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful scenery, friendly staff
First time to a tropical resort, found the grounds to be clean and beautiful. Rooms bright, spacious and clean. Friendly staff willing to assist as needed. Would not likely venture out on bus type day excursions next time as travel time excessive stopping at 8-10 resorts to pick up individuals if you happen to first on and last off. Lots of food choices, labelling was 50/50 for the buffet
Melia Marina Varadero: Great resort
Very good food! Most service employees very polite and helpful! Beach and pool area fantastic. Wide variety of restaurants to eat at. Excellent side trips to Havana at a reasonable price. Very good night time activities. Thank you.
Memories Cayo Largo: The ocean never quite looks as it does in the promo photos
Sol Cayo largo is the oldest of the hotels on the island. The El Cayito Lobby Bar is the social center of the hotel. As such, this hotel is more an adult resort. Families with children are advised to book the Pelicano next door. The hotel has many cats that have settled in there. Bring cat food with you and try giving them treats away from the dining halls, where their begging is a recurring problem. The ocean in front of the hotel is usually rough. If you want to snorkel, be prepared to go t [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: so-so resort
people are wonderful, very helpful and seem to enjoy their work.very disappointed with room. we requested a king bed and got two twin beds. When we inquired about the room and bed situation no one could answer a simple question regarding moving rooms. So we made the best of it.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Lovely LARGE Resort
the Melia Jardines del Rey is a 4 year old resort that is overall clean, beautifully landscaped and tries very hard to meet expectations. The beach is gorgeous with lots of shade and loungers available. However there are areas that could do with improvement. The food starts as good quality but is bland and somewhat confusing in final presentation. There are issues in some rooms with water flow and leakage. Staff are overall helpful and friendly but some of the younger ones have significant dif [... read more]
Memories Cayo Largo: GR8 winter getaway...
...for beach lovers & other strangers. We go to Cuba for the beach, nothing else... loved it !. We had a nice clean room on the second floor with a beautiful view including the sunset. The room could use a bit of sprucing up but it was clean and everything worked. We always take some bug spray. The staff is wonderful. Cuba beaches are beautiful and even the bad weather days are pleasant... We spend our days on the beach not the pool. We always find something good to eat but we do not go to [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Great Resort
Grounds and buildings were well maintained. Room was spacious and clean. Staff very hospitable and pleasant. Food was good and a wide assortment. Only down side was the winter winds. Would return for sure.
Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful View and Great Staff
The Staff at Melina Marina were amazing they make the experience twice as amazing! The view was beautiful but definitely more of a family/couple resort than a party destination. The food was definitely lacking I'd advise anyone and everyone to pack spices and ketchup.
Melia Varadero: Great Resort!
Our stay at Melia Varadero was great overall. This was our first trip to Cuba. I was skeptical at first after hearing bad reviews of resorts and food. I have to say, our hotel was really good. It is a big resort. It is considered a 5 star resort. I’m not sure it would be a 5 star if you were at a different destination. The staff were great. Very pleasant, always informative if you needed something. The rooms were ok. The beach was great. Long stretch of beach to walk along. No one was in the [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Another great stay at this resort!
This was our 8th visit to this resort and again we were extremely satisfied. The service, the food, the staff, everything was as we expected. We often hear people say they are pleasantly surprised at how much they enjoyed their stay here.
