Moon Palace Cancun: Very Good time, truely a 5 star resort

The resort was very large but overall it was well maintained and looked after. The food was also very good and the service was some of the best I have ever seen at an all inclusive resort. I would say that I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come back sometime soon.

Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas: Very nice resort

The staff at this resort is amazing The meals are exceptional. Was very satisfied no one could go hungry here. The Italian a la carte was excellent. Rooms clean. I found one pool cold, this was the only one we hung at. The waiters were very attentive, Service was better then i had ever had. Just NO disco, and i love to dance.

Grand Oasis Sens: Average Resort

Oasis Sens is ok if you are not looking for amazing food. Did not have a safe in our room so after 2 days of asking for a safe and not getting anywhere, we shared with our sister who was staying in another room. Beware of staff at reception, they charged us more for the internet and even after telling them, they did not reimbursed us. They made copies of our receipt and said they would deal with the employee directly - beware of Rashid at reception, he's a thief. Elizabeth the manager, did not w [... read more]ant to give us our money back until the next day once she spoke with Rashid. Too late we were leaving!!! But overall, it's ok. The pools are beautiful and just like any other places, some bartenders are nice and others are jerks. Anyway it's better then shoveling snow and staying in the cold. Depending what you are looking for, I may or may not recommend this hotel. If I was go book this hotel under $1000 including taxes I would go, but would not pay more.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Pretty but not great

The hotel was beautiful and having everything in one building was handy. The let down was the service. We usually travel to The Royal in Playa del Carmen but decided to try another highly rated hotel this time. The friendliness and effort of the staff was not evident in this property. Often had to wait for service and there were very few staff members who made us feel welcome and wanted. Food was good but not great. We arrived early in the day so was not expecting a room right away but had to wa [... read more]it till 4:30pm! There were 6 of us incoming and they couldn't get 3 rooms ready?! The hotel was not full. As a compensation, we were upgraded to the 'Preferred Club'. We saw none of the benefits (I.e. Alcoholics and snacks in our room). We did gain entry to the second level pool area which was nice because the loungers were far better quality than the beach (most of them were cracked in the bottom) and service was better.

Moon Palace Cancun: Best resort we've been to.

The resort itself is beautiful. How we were treated was even better. Friendly efficient, warm people. We did the all inclusive golf and it didn't disappoint. The guys at the course were amazing and we got to golf a gorgeous course for minimal cost with this package. Little touches meant a lot. Our adult sons were pretty excited about the beer at the course being included in the all inclusive! Also, the best food I've had at any resort. The first resort I've been to where that was the case! We would definitely go back.

The Pyramid Cancun: Beautiful Beach!

This hotel had many flaws! At check-in, they gave us a standard room when we booked beachfront. They couldn't move us for four days. The rooms were not very clean. Our faucet leaked and flooded our countertop every time it was turned on. We left tips everyday and still were not impressed with the cleaning or the lack of restocking our mini fridge. Room service was NOT included. You could order one or the total of seven things on the room service menu and no matter what it still cost $15.00USD. O [... read more]ur new rooms were MUCH better but still lacked on stocking the mini fridge and towels. There was renovations going on in the rooms above and beside us, which didn't so much bother me, I don't spend my days sleeping anyhow but some of the other people we travelled with had those complaints. Restaurant service was hit and miss. It is unreasonable to wait anywhere from twenty five minutes to three hours. Even for BUFFET. One instance we were told to come for dinner at 6:30pm, so we did. When we got there, they told us we wouldn't be able to come back to eat until 9:30pm. We decided to put our names down for the restaurant pretty well attached to it, twenty five minute wait. It turned to thirty five, forty-five then we said to heck with it. In the meantime, it started to rain so they let us stand inside the first restaurant that told us to come back at 9:30pm. Not even HALF of the restaurant's tables were seated. Bartenders were the least friendly people at the resort. They would tell you they had zero straws but very rarely they would give you one. If you ordered a drink that someone else previously ordered but didn't take, they would pull it up from behind the counter and give it to you. As if anyone wants to drink a melted drink. I didn't see you make it, I don't know what's in there. If a new drink was asked for they would say "No" and move the old drink towards you more. Hallways were constantly flooding. Security was not friendly and could not speak English. Just puffed out their chests most of the time. They wouldn't let us use our ground floor balconies as beach access. They made us walk through our building (to the other end) out and back again to use our beach chairs in the sand. Coyote Loco (Disco) - had great entertainment, and staff was awesome there. Bus boys were the friendliest. - We enjoyed a pizza with them at the front of the lobby one night when we returned from a night out in town. Beach was by far the best thing about this resort.

Grand Park Royal Cancun: Looks beautiful

This hotel was beautiful in looks, the people were very friendly but the food lacked variety, pasta was always on the menu with little else. we where approached three times by time share or up grades before we came to the hotel, and again in the hotel before checking in. Last night in hotel we discovered a hotel employee in our room going through my wallet in the bathroom with the pretense of saying he was security when we inquired what was wrong they said they had no report of any problem that  [... read more]is when I went back to the room and discovered my wallet in the bathroom.

Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: Will Return

What everyone says is true...its the staff that makes this place. it has the right amount of fun and music, plus some quiet time at the beach if that's what you prefer and always something going on with the entertainment staff. Food is good, rooms are clean, beach is clean. We would definitely return. However if you want a fridge in your room ask for a 'club' room.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Beautiful resort

We just got back from our vacation at Riu Palace Peninsula in Cancun and our overall First impression was that it was a very beautiful and clean resort. All of the public areas, such as the lobby, all the restaurants, the pool areas and the beach areas were all lovely, with great attention to detail. The beach was nice although there was some seaweed in the water. There was a rocky area as well, but those were quite interesting as inbetween the rocks were little mini 'private' beaches as I liked [... read more] to call them. Some iguanas took residence there as well. The hotel rooms were also very modern and clean and most rooms had an ocean view. I have no complaints about the room that we had, except the trouble it took to get it with the front desk, but in the end it was resolved pretty quickly. The buffet restaurant was pretty good with a good selection of food. The theme restaurants lacked in quality, especially the Italian restaurant.......the food was salty and dried out and the appetizer buffets at these restaurants were picked over and not replenished, especially if you had the later dinner seating. The best restaurant in this category was the Fusion restaurant. Unfortunately you could only book one restaurant a time in advance so that was an inconvenience. We went to book the morning after we got there, which was a Tuesday and we couldn't get into any of the restaurants until the Thursday. The lobby bar was quite nice with the piano as a before dinner location. Good place to people watch and nice big windows overlooking the resort. Entertainment after dinner was lacking however, with lip synching entertainers dancing around to the pre-recorded music.......somewhat lame. There isn't a disco or anything where the younger adults can go to listen to music and dance so that was lacking as well, but places like CocoBongo were only a 5 minute bus ride away if you were so inclined. The spa was good but very expensive, cost $280 U.S. for two 45 minute massages on the beach. The only other area that was lacking was shopping on the resort. There were only two stores, one a jewelry store and the other a little gift/beachwear/sun lotion type of store. Again, you could hop on the bus and go shopping further down on the strip. The staff were really friendly and hard working. All in all, we enjoyed our vacation at the Riu Palace Peninsula and would return again.

Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas: Five stars sand

Hotel and room not really good but sand on beach amazing but if you like to swim go to public beach, staff very friendly and helpful, food not bad, souvenirs you can by cheaper in Mexican Store, alcohol, food and drink in Supermarket

Temptation Resort & Spa: Just what I was looking for!

The rooms were surprisingly nice, very cozy. The staff were friendly and everything in the resort was easy to find, great layout. The atmosphere was exactly what I was looking dor and needed. A great party spot with great ppl! So easy to meet awesome ppl whether they were couple or singles, everyone was great! Music they played made me dance all night and just had a blast. Can't wait to return one day!

Hard Rock Hotel Cancun: Wow what a trip!

This is one of the best resorts we've been to. The resort credits you receive gave us a massage a day for 7 days! The food, except for Brazilian, was very good. A pizza oven by the pool, wow! And alcohol was good quality (except for house wine). Spa was UNBELIEVABLE and staff was very friendly.

Moon Palace Cancun: Great place with nice perks

Newly updated, very clean, amazing service all around, many choices for eating and food good. Lobby in Nizuc is amazing. Resort credits allowed us to do many things, golf, spa, swim with dolphins, wine upgrade, other attractions - you just pay the taxes. This made it very worthwhile. Very large resort with a lot of walking and also lots of options for pools, eating, shows, etc. Nice pools - only 2 or 3 are heated. Able to visit other palace resorts was also nice. Beach not so nice - lots of seaw [... read more]eed but amazing beach at the Beach Palace. Nice to be so close to airport - not a long drive.

Sun Palace Hotel: Great location and amenities

Beautiful beach with very comfy beach beds, room was attractively decorated, food was good, resort credits were a bonus, staff were very accommodating and happy to provide great service. Would rather have a sitting/lounging area instead of the large in-room Jacuzzi in the middle of the room, and don't love the open concept bathroom. Had a concierge level room with a larger balcony, many of the concierge level rooms only have a small balcony with 2 chairs. Italian restaurant was our favourite, di [... read more]sappointed by the Mexican restaurant. Art of Wine event was wonderful. Enjoyed a massage, manicure and seaweed wrap at the spa. Great quiet adults only resort. Hotel was full but never seemed too crowded.

Moon Palace Cancun: Not quite as good as expected

Moon Palace is a very large resort. Although you know this going in, you don't quite understand until you are actually there. I stayed in the grand section which included only one al la carte restaurant and no real night life. To enjoy anything the resort has to offe, you either had to walk for more than a half hour or take a shuttle bus. The shuttle bus comes around every 15 minutes, but if you just miss the bus because it does not run on a specific schedule, or if the bus is full, you'd have  [... read more]to wait for the next bus. This could mean travel time up to a half hour to get to the restaurant for dinner only to wait another 45 minutes to get into the restaurant. Our room in the moon grand was beautiful and very large. More than we could have asked for. The only complaint about the room was thay our beds were uncomfortable and we woke up with back pain every morning. I did understand, from talking to a few couples, that the rooms with one king sized bed had much more comfortable beds. When our concierge asked how are room was, we advised we were a bit uncomfortable and mattress toppers were put on the bed. This only helped a little but was very much appreciated. The food at the resort was hit or miss. We had some great food. However, a lot of the food was a bit below the 5 star standard. The drinks were great and the premium alcohol is a nice touch. The service at this resort is probably the best service I have ever received Anywhere. This service is provided to everyone with or without tips. I always tip but the service was great before I could get a tip out of my bag. Because of the resort credits, we decided to have a massage. The massage was much better than expected and I was asked about how I like the pressure if the massage. The massage was the only thing we used the resort credits for. The beach, as everyone should know before going, is awful. the great thing about palace resorts is that you have access to other resorts when you stay at one location. We visited the Beach Palace where we were able to swim in the ocean. the ocean at the beach palace is beautiful and what you would expect at a cancun resort. The pools are what I'd supposed to make up for the lack of beach. This resort did not lack in beautiful pools. The only issue is that of the 5 or 6 I visited, most were too cold to use. I did notice that as much as the staff was there to help and serve there were so many things no one told us about. Here are a few for future guests: - Moon grand has an additional room service menu only available if you stay at that section - the disco is only open certain days and if you are staying in the grand section, you will not get the sheet of paper that lists the days - when going to the spa, you have use of other areas including hydrotherapy and sauna. This can be used before or after So plan some Extra time there. - if you are unhappy with the section of the resort you are in, they have no problem switching you to another section. Overall, I think this resort is a solid 4 star resort. If the food was a bit better and the service spread out better, it may have felt more like a 5 star. The owners are growing the grand section so I would expect more restaurants within the next couple years.

Riu Palace Las Americas: Nice clean friendly resort

clean,well arranged,user friendly.One negative point was that there was no exhaust fan in our washroom .Also , the bed mattress was not up to standard for this hotel .Food and beverage service was generous and excellent .

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Great place for family vacation!

This was a great place for my entire family! My 5 year old had so much fun with all the pool options and kids park. The Buffet was great, rooms were cleaned everyday, staff was friendly and service was great. Only downside were the a la carte restaurants, not super great, but will say they were ok:) The beach was amazing!!!

Temptation Resort & Spa: Definitely returning ..!!!

Moon Palace Cancun: Amazing resort! Excellent food and service.

I loved the variety from all the different places to eat, different areas of the resort to visit, the pools were so clean, top notch drinks and service! The rooms are so nice, fully stocked bar in the room, nice big jaccuzi tub, excellent shower! The only complaint I can think of is the location. The resort isn't right on the Cancun strip, so if you are thinking of just walking around, it is a 35 dollar cab ride. But the resort does provide a Shuttle to and from Cancun. We went to Playa Del Carmen for the day and ate at the palace resort there instead of paying for a lunch. They are very helpful with anything that you need, we didn't find an excursion to Tulum that fit our needs, they set up a private van for us to rent with a driver! I would go back to this resort for sure! I miss it already!

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: exceptional service, beautiful place

The place is very clean, food is very good, all ammenties and services are great. The only negative thing is the check-in process. Administration of this hotel should put more people at the front desk when a group of travelers arrives; even identify lines would be better. Everybody gets frustrated, some are ther for checkin, check-out, have change, need something else and they are all in the same line....
