Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Extra relaxing

Very clean with freindly staff. Food was very good. Very good around the pool, no loud music blazing all day which for me, is what I'm looking for. They had a few games around the pool side but were not in your face to participate. The pool water was heated which I haven't much of in Mexico. I would go back in a heartbeat, that's for sure.

Sunscape Puerto Vallarta: Our 8th Year!

This was our 8th year at this resort. Obviously, we are very comfortable there. It is a convenient location with buses passing by frequently to take you into town for a minimal fee. There are also taxis available at the hotel door. The staff in the dining room is exceptional, efficient and friendly. The beach is very clean and not crowded. The entire hotel and grounds are maintained in an excellent manner.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Treated like Royalyu

Beautifully situated right on the Ocean, surrounded by a Golf course, with everything/everybody needed to make your vacation perfect! My only recommendation, every room is exactly the same, other than the view, we were upgraded to the Jr Suite Ocean walkout, room 3003, other than our room having a walk out to the beach, patio with loungers, chairs, etc, protected by a surf wall, the room was the same size as others. By definition, a Jr. Suite should be larger. If you're questioning your decision, don't this is a great Resort!

Crown Paradise Club: Nice place

This hotel was not the greatest hotel we had visited but was a good place to stay. It's was clean and the staff very helpful and wonderful. During our stay we didn't get a good weather for 3 days( windy and rain)They told us, it's unusual, the weather is always nice.

Las Palmas by the Sea: Great resort!

We loved Las Palmas by the Sea. Perfect location (not too far to town, not too close), wonderful view of the ocean, perfect size, excellent food, very friendly and personable staff, with bedrooms and public spaces kept sparklingly clean. We loved the adults only pool, and were amazed at the surveillance provided so it was indeed reserved for adults. Any parents (!) trying to sneak in children were immediately notified to move to the other pool. The main negative point for us is the fact that non [... read more]smoking rooms are all located on the street side of the hotel, which means that our ocean view room was almost constantly surrounded by smokers (and originally reeked of smoke). Thanks, Susana, for cleaning it up for us and making it bearable!There should be nonsmoking ocean view rooms (or even better, floors) reserved for nonsmokers! Another consideration is that, because of the layout of the hotel, it tends to be noisy at night. However, this is mitigated by the facts that the entertainment shows end around 10:15-10:30 p.m., and free booze is only provided until 11:00 p.m. All in all, a wonderful stay, and we would certainly go back!

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Lovely resort!

The resort was lovely, extremely clean with immaculately maintained grounds. When we arrived they were just finishing repainting the outside of the hotel blocks in vibrant Mexican colours. The hotel consists of 6 blocks of rooms with 3 buffet restaurants and 5 a la carte restaurants. We only went to 1 as the buffets were more than adequate. We had 2 double beds, double dresser and small closet, lots of room for 2 people, bathroom has only a shower but again - not a problem. The staff are what make this place special, with everyone very friendly and helpful. Many of the guests are repeats with some coming 10+ years or more and staying up to a month at a time. The beach is lovely with miles of sand in either direction, lots of beach chairs are available so there is never a shortage of a place to relax. Even the beach vendors are friendly and if you say no they quietly go away and leave you to you piece and quiet. Would recommend this place for a nice quiet holiday

Costa Club Punta Arena: Sometimes a deal really isn't a deal.

This is not a resort that I would stay at again. The service was not to greatest, the food was not the best (unless you like weiners). The towels and sheets in the rooms looked like they were years old and never seen a good cleaning. My room was on the ground floor and my patio door did not lock. It was walking distance to down town which was good because the resort really had nothing to do and the nightly entertainment was real bad when they had any. Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa: Fantastically Awesome Resort

Sunset Plaza Beach Resort & Spa was the best hotel we have ever been to. From the welcoming manager Xavier escorting To Registration with Daniel an inviting drink from Juan our personal butler. Escorted to our rooms by Miguel who shows you the fantastic view from our balcony and the spacious room. Sunset view every night. all rooms are ocean view. It is a Family place to gather. from the hump back whales to the dolphins and mantrays you can see jumping close to shore at times, Spectacular. Humberto is a fantastic server,Lunch can be at the Café the food and sandwiches along with the desserts are among the best I have ever had. The coffee there in the Café is superb. In the Mirador with is lunch with a fantastic selection of appetizers, main menu items, soups, fish and seafood selections are so available. You can go to Luciano's for the Italian food which is by reservation only. You feel you are in a high quality restaurant the waiters Sergio and Daniel and hostess Patsy are so inviting and create a ambiance of delightful music an fthe food is fantastic served so professionally and sophisticated staff who do a wonderful job. Get Sergio to make a Spanish Coffee the flame the whole bit. fantstico. After that go to the Bar and beautiful hardworking Sharon is there to give any drink you desire. Get down to 70's and 80's music by the group. who are fantastic to hear and to dance to. You can whoop it up. Barbecue by the ocean every second night and this is a beautiful view of the city of Puerto Vallarta. From Rosolito serving our food or Alexanjdro. Then there is one night of Mexican Texan combo night all served by waiters in country western attire. The western country dancers are so talented with the music it is so much, fun. The kids enjoy very much. Then there is the Mexican night where all kinds of food is served to you, The dancer or like the Flame Dancers very Azcted and Mayan. so talented . Sunset Plaza has an excellent location it is close to Starbucks, malls buses. tours. You will not regret coming to this hotel. The price is so economical for the quality of service that it provides. We are coming back next year and will get an Bedroom Suite this time.

Delfin Beach Resort Puerto Vallarta: Awesome location!

We upgraded to an oceanfront room... Well worth extra money. The view was great, the rooms clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We went all inclusive, and for the price it was a good deal... I will definitely be going back!

Riu Vallarta: Great Time

Check in was a breeze. We were in our rooms with luggage, interrupted by a trip to the lounge bar, all in 15 minutes while never having to go to the front desk. The jr suite was spacious and well appointed.,Ocean view 8th floor with great sight lines. Had a true king size bed (not mattresses pushed together). Resturants and buffets were excellent. Grounds well groomed, Huge beach area. Get up early and reserve loungers.Entertainment was typical resort style while live music in the courtyard ma [... read more]de it very interesting people watching.. Staff and pool areas very nice... Make sure you check your safe is working as a couple in our group had their safe comprimised and someone from the hotel staff stole all their money the second day we were there. Hotel management tried their best to make our holiday as good as could be under the circumstances while having no help from Sun Wing staff at the hotel the tour operator. Hotel Management actions will certainly gave us a reason that we may consider on returning for future holidays with the Riu hotel chain..

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: beautiful resort

My husband and I spent a wonderful 10 days in the Hilton Puerto Vallarta. Walking in to the lobby and seeing the ocean and gardens as we were checking in was exciting as we had come from "cold, rainy Canada" that morning. The infinity pools and the area around them were most inviting and we spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying them. Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Fantastic Resort with amazing food and activities!

This is the most modern up-to-date resort I have ever visited...eg. WIFI everywhere - rooms, restaurants, pool areas, all included. Extremely clean and well kept. The pool area is clean with plenty of chairs and shade and the beach also has lots of chairs and umbrellas with help to put them where you wish to sit. Also the beach is clean and we walked and ran it daily (5 k). Many people playing in the waves. The food and service was excellent with various restaurants so never boring. Las Palmas by the Sea: Great vacation in Puerto Vallarta

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at Las Palmas. It's ideally located close to the airport, marina and city. The lobby is the first thing you see... small, worn and uninviting. But as you get into the hotel things improve. The grounds are quite nice. There are two pools, one for adults and the other for activities. The beach is average. There is one main buffet restaurant with a good variety of food. My request would be for more seafood... come on guys.... you're right on the ocean... I can get pork an [... read more]d chicken in Toronto. The 'special' restaurant was fine. Both were open air with thatched covering by the beach. The bars were very good... friendly service... but no mojitas. The entertainment was so-so. Service generally was friendly and efficient. Everything was clean. The rooms had a nice pool/ocean view, but were small. The beds are very firm, which is common, but one was lumpy. The only major problem is the noise levels at night... primarily from the bar patrons. Sleeping could be interrupted. I met a number of people who stay at Las Palmas every year. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful... surrounded by mountains, a stunning bay, terrific waterfront, and perfect weather. There are wonderful towns and parks nearby. We would go back, and we enjoyed our vacation.

Riu Vallarta: Beautiful resort

This was a beautiful resort and definitely lived up to the Riu reputation. We were a group of 8 regulars to the Riu Jalisco and decided to change it up and stay at the Vallarta this time. We booked suites for the first time as this was to be a milestone anniversary celebration for each couple and overall we were very satisfied with the rooms and the amazing views. The restaurants and service were excellent. Most of the staff is hardworking and dedicated to making your stay all it can be. However [... read more], we did have an unfortunate incident which did put a damper on our holiday but we worked through it and tried not to let it ruin the entire holiday. Our safe was compromised on our second day and all our money was stolen. Every penny. Thank goodness they left the passports. So our one big complaint is that the safes are not actually safe. The hotel tells you they are not responsible even though they admit it being a staff member. And Sunwing was absolutely no help what so ever. And our so called travel insurance basically covers us for an amount comparable to what the insurance initially cost us! A pittance compared to what was stolen. Even so, we are trying not to let it taint our view of this amazing place as this incident was a first for us after 5 visits to Puerto Vallarta. The internet is full of similar complaints at other resorts so I guess the lesson here is just because it's called a safe does not mean it can't be accessed by someone other then yourself. We will return but will now insist on keeping our cash and valuables in the hotel safe instead of the room safe. We would like to however thank Martina and Graciella - two assistant managers at the resort, who took this incident to heart and tried to help us out as much as they were allowed to. It was because of them that we will return.

Costa Club Punta Arena: A Wonderful Taste of Mexico

We have stayed at the resort 5times. Each time there are lots of improvements. New king size bed,new showers, new tv, new air conditioning, new snack bar. Many of the tourists are return customers and make you feel like family. Thanks to Donna, John, Reggie,Iris,and Joe for making us feel so welcome. As well to all the staff, thank you for making our stay so pleasant.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Resort where my dreams came true!

I can' t say enough positive things about this resort. The rooms were ALWAYS up to par, the staff always ready to serve and very friendly, the food and dinning experiences were the best I've ever experienced and being there with the CHFI crew is one I will never forget. The resort was the setting for Ms Erin Davis to make a dream of mine come true. Thank you Air Transat for getting me there and back without a hitch.

Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Disappointing Stay

We recently stayed at this resort from Jan 15-23 2015 and were very disappointed with our stay. The hotel is old and bathrooms are very small and awkward. We had an ocean front terrace room, not worth the extra money, couldn't see much except trees and everyone above you could see what you were doing. No Privacy. The a la carte restaurants are poor and the service was also poor in buffet as well. If you were a time share the service was very different in the whole resort. Beach is very rocky and [... read more] hard to walk on, not what you expect at a resort. This hotel was rated 4* was definitely not that, maybe 3* Also they immediately upon arrival they were pitching time shares and throughout the stay. We go to Mexico every year and this was the most disappointed we have ever been Would not recommend this hotel

Friendly Fun Vallarta: Great staff, very friendly

No complaints, very nice layout of the resort, enjoyed the entertainment and food was decent. Overall we were very satisfied with our first experience at Friendly resort minus the hard beds. We would definitely return the this resort.

Costa Club Punta Arena: Great experience

The hotel is very well located for people who like hiking, as every major spot such as the Old Vallarta or Marina are with the hiking distance. The size of the hotel is good, separate 3 Floor buildings are all nicely spread among the well kept gardens. The service was very good, hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good, the opening hours of the restaurants and bars were quite extensive allowing to accommodate various needs. Iguanas living in a garden zone leading to the  [... read more]beach were a big asset and attraction. On the negative side is a big hotel which was built between the coasta club and the ocean, obstructing big portion of th view. The hotel was not finished and does not look good. After a while thou we got use to it and it was not a problem any more. Another thing was a bit too loud music at the pool, not allowing people to have a nap at this area. The beach was a nice alternative, so we enjoyed spending lots of time at the ocean side. Overally it was a nice relaxing stay, good vacations!!

Crown Paradise Golden: Amazing Resort

Its nice and clean.The staff was friendy.The weather was perfect.The Pool is good but on the beach are not enough chairs and somethimes too many people trying to sell there stuff.The guys in the Pub did an amazing job.
